we actually applied same day, SOWP for myself and visit Visa for my child, mine is still on process, eligibility hasn't started yet, background check is on process and it's worrisome.......did you at any point send web form?

Oh....at some point my eligibility started after a long time of no update
Then we called ircc and we were told that Sowp typically takes up to 4 months that we don't have any update by February 15, we should send a webform
But we sent a webform three days later containing school fee receipt and fully updated result of my husband 1st semester and kept waiting until 8th of Jan
Also......my Gmail app didn't alert me I have a mail....but it's my practice to type ircc on the search button which I did on the 9th and found out that I have a mail from them..... please check regularly for updates

Same situation, I applied for my wife and son 21st October, 3 days after my wife's medical was passed even though she hasn't gone for biometric... She went for biometric November 10th and was updated same day.. Ever since then no update until yesterday that my sons medical was passed after sending 4 webform.

What I can advice here is, use your own account as POF, not your husband that is a student, but u, going on work permit.

For other question, other ppl that know more about it will come around to give clarity.

When completing the USE OF FAMILY REPRESENTATIVE FORM for your application under the SOWP program, you generally do not need to provide your husband's details again if he is already in Canada and you are the principal applicant. The purpose of this form is primarily to declare your family members who are not in Canada and who may be accompanying you to Canada as dependents (i.e. like your son or 4yrs old child).

I also need help on this as I want to apply for spousal Open work permit, will I be the one to apply? Is it my account statement that will be used as proof of fund or my husband's?
I really don't know what to do

Nothing to worry about. People change their mind and you apply now for your SOWP or when he left.

Get your documents and write SOP why you want to follow him or why he wants you guy to be with him. You are good to go.

1. This and question 5 will be taken together, will his siblings in Canada give him the whole POF or they will just write letters of sponsorpship? The issue will then be that if the VO will be willing to give weight to the third-party sponsorship. The amount they have will also be scrutinized.
2. Since he has left school for a long time, then the immediate consideration will be if the course relates to his work experience, so what does he do now?
3. The age does not matter. I have seen 50 year get SP.
4. Digital photo is passport picture, there are specifications that you can use for the application, you have to visit a photo studion like studio 24 to take one.

He has been granted visa to the glory of God.....he applied on Sunday and was given today.... barely a week
My question now is, he has been asked to submit his passport, he's thinking of dropping it off in person at the place he did his biometrics.....is this advisable or he use DHL?
Also can I start to apply for spousal open work permit or do I wait till he gets there before I apply? Reason for my hesitation is because he mentioned in his letter of intent that I've agreed to stay behind and take care of our son, so if I apply now, won't it be like a deception?
