i'm surprised that i've not got a honest and mature answer to my question. it's a fact that we have enough intelligent and civilize indiviuals on this forum but a minority few that responded didnt just get it.

Hey Guys, i'm a banker in one of the  new generation banks. i quite agree with all the comments u guys have been making so far but i feel that we are missing up things here.
Firstly, we are not even sure of the dynamics & facts of the transactions the poster was doing with Union bank- therefore, it would be inappropriate to pass comments on such.
Secondly, lapses on the part of a staff or a flop in respect of a transaction does not warrant an hasty generalization that the bank is bad.
Also, as human beings are not born equal, so also all banks are not the same in respect to staff quality, ICT compliant, exceptional service and what have you.
However, one thing i know for sure is that Union bank still remains one of the most respected amd most patronised by our old fathers and pensioners. the bank has a robust capital base and has good corporate governance. if not so, CBN and NDIC would ve sanctioned it appropriately.

i also wk in one of these big banks and i will advise u choose INTERCONTINENTAL. pls don't think twice. by all standard and with all the yardsticks u mentioned, INTERCONTINENTAL stands shoulder high

i can assure u of finance lease through zenith bank. However, d challenge is that u must ve a current account with d bank wc must have been running for like 6 months. if u can open d a/c today, i can assure u of getting a facility to own your car by december.

hey guys, i've read wt total dismay a rain of abuses on OTEGA1 as a result of his post. While i don't agree with him on his utterances, i think it's nt right for nairalanders to take him up they way we did. He spoke out of frustration and annoyance. OTEGA1, where u 'll get to in life, nobody will stop u from getting there.
Who knows whether u will eventually wk in shell.
on the Niger Delta violence, that's nt too gud bt i believe God himself will intervene.
