Politics › WorkForce Optimization: Ondo Converts 900 Local Govt Workers To Teachers by Abbeyme(op): 4:44pm On Oct 07, 2015 |
The Ondo State government has redeployed the 900 holders of National Certificate in Education working in various local governments across the state to the state Universal Basic Education Board as a way of increasing the number of teachers in primary schools across the state. This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, in Akure on Tuesday, who informed that a three-day refresher course for the teachers was holding in four zones in the state with a centre each in Ondo, Akure, Okitipupa and Ikare . The opening ceremony of the course, which ends on Thursday, he added was performed by the state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, at the Akure centre. Akinmade, who said the deployment was to address the challenge of shortage of teachers in schools, explained that government discovered that the NCE holders were being underutilized in the various local government areas. He added that the former local government workers were moving from the era of redundancy to the era of full engagement, describing them as round pegs in round holes. In his address to the teachers at the opening ceremony of the course, Mimiko charged them to be diligent in the discharge of their duties and contribute their quota to the improvement of standard of education in the state. He said the deployment was an opportunity for them to use their wealth of experience to improve on the state of education. “You have the opportunity to mould the future of the state and Nigeria, so you should be up and doing,” he stated. On his part, the state Head of Service, Toyin Akinkuotu, explained that the redeployment was to enhance productivity in the service. “In view of the economic situation in the country, the governor has thought it right to redeploy you to enhance productivity,” he stated. Most of our ex presidents have 'laundered' money same goes to most Nigerian past and present governors, senators ministers, head of corporations etc. So why is diezanni's case different. I am not justifying though just asking Because PMB said he would only occupy himself with probing the immediate government (that handed over to him) at the federal level. I am not supporting her in anyway, am just wondering whose money she laundered. Is it not Nigeria? So how come UK has jurisdiction over a case that ought to be handled in abuja...please no insults oo One of her major offences is that she flew or ferried or by any means transported cash into the UK. The said cash was not declared as such at the point of entry. That is illegal. It is laundering. She fraudulent brot in cash in excess of what is legally allowed into that territory. That also is laundering. Business people are permitted to wire or transfer needed cash through banks or financial institutions licenced to do so. But this is flaunted in her case. She made huge deposits into banks. This is suspicious as she has no business yielding such turnover in the UK. That is fraudulent.... |
