Multitv added new channel ECN over the weekend. Maybe they are trying to update their transmission signal. ECN is dolby sound and AC3. Will check when I get home.

The report says from Mile 12 to Ikorodu. The road development is from Ikorodu Town to Mile 12, these stretch of road is Lagos state road and NOT FG. The links Ikorodu Town through the Lagos Lagoon to the mainland,these are roads belonging to Lagos State linking 2 LG together. But everybody's perception is on Ikorodu Road stretching from Ojuelegba to Berger Toll gate; this the FG road.
So essentially the project is a Lagos State project and has no involvement what so ever with the FG.kudos to the Lagos state govt for the project and CCECC have shown their good quality work in other parts of Lagos eg Amuwo area, Cele bridge. The PDP govt has failed to repair Lagos-Ibadan expressway since 1999 and abandon the alternate route plan on the road since then, abandon Ore-Benin road but just recently re-awarded the contract. The first contract has gone with the wind.

Its all about choice. For my I like chinese drama and movies spiced with sports here and there. So I prefer Startimes to Gotv. Also Startimes being a fully own DTT company will seek live sports channels especially football but DSTV will not allow Gotv full access to its live sports channel. Both run almost the same package only Startimes have more choice as per channels than Gotv. Both run old movies but are just tools to have around the household.

Go for Startimes, its 2 years old. Its MPEG4 also and improving in its service package, the rollout is almost over the country. GOTV is just emerging, Ibadan and Lagos. Its your choice, both service require external antenna for optimum reception. I have me a Startimes receiver.

Yes, Shalom TV is off air. Am trying to google what might be the issue.

Anyway what information is on the new channel NEW DAWN is it for real or what?

The UN has sponsored and implemented so many health and environment projects in Nigeria. Most of my Lecturers in UI are under UN consultancy for projects in Nigeria and other African countries. UN has done much in Nigeria. When you go to the hospitals u will c UN projects.

Nigerian's problem is tribal and ethnic. It has never been about religion. If anybody is fooling you don't fool yourself. The world problem in the middle east is about ethnicity and power. The issue in the middle east is traditional and not modern, it is a problem root in ethnicity not religion. To separate the two concept from the region concern becomes a problem as the two are interrelated and integrated. A bloc of ethnic people profess to a type of religion or another. So when they act or react violently, to distinguish the cause root of their action becomes a problem.
There were and are Muslims in the Niger-delta revolutions but nobody called it a Muslim issue or Jihad.

As a child of  history, we are well aware that the two religions were spread through violence. The Church had the Crusaders/Templar that raged through Europe to the Middle East, while Islam had its Jihad.

The way forward should be forward looking. In this modern age, military or militia oppression is not allowed. Terrorism or Mass murder is abhorrent and not allowed. If someone says he is fighting because or for Islam, the assertion is wrong.

I have updated my 69x with the 1.11patch from wizkid and it is ok. The MPEG-4 resolution is enhanced slightly and the font size in the receiver is reduced. Some channels have a timeline on the programme. The audio output is slightly increased also. So the patch is ok. If you have not downloaded it pls do.

What is the effect of 1.11p software on 4669x? anybody.

whats the effect of 1.11p on Strong 4669x. Does it have the ACC/HE audio codec like 1.10p. My Infinity is booming and I dont' want to loose the audio capability. Does 1.11p increases the Mpeg4 quality or the audio quality?

Also, how much is the new 4669x11? anybody?

On Mytv I meter dish, W3a and Sirius signals are 1 inch apart, I tried to find a mid way to get both signals, however it wasn't steady. If I face the dish towards MBC I loss DBS. To solve the problem, I will add another LNB to the dish and connect it to the discq. Blind scan Sirius and 100 channels pop green, however all are scrambled except a few BVN, STV1,DBS LMT Alqira,

Download free universal extractor softwae from the internet. The software unzip any program or application without truncating the integrity of the application. safe the unzipped file folder inside a USB flash. Plug the USB inside the 4669 and on the remote press menu, from menu select USB, when it opens select DATA TRANSFER. After these, the folders and file in the USB would open, scroll to the unzip folder, press it, the ME_HE_ACC STB file would open, press ok, the firmware update would automatically begin. After the firmware update, the receiver would shut down. switch it off from behind and on again. Everthing is done, pronto

My receiver is still working since updating.

Please make sure you are on generator when updating firmware as any power interuption would spoil the receiver. Make sure your flash is virus free

CRTV was down yesterday and this morning

I finally got my infinity on. Initially the Infinity failed to show with Multitv at 91% while infinity was 0%. What I did was to scan for Infinity through Badr setting. The channels came up with the frequency 12.544, SR: 20.799. So if your infinity is not showing, try and reduce the frequency and SR by 1 digit.
The wizkid software on the audio code AAC is ok. Download and unzip. Update by USB.

@ Ameboperoo, I get your gist. I have just downloaded the software from the wizkid link posted in the forum. The reason why I requested the one you used is to have a tested software to upgrade my 69X+. You know using the wrong software will shut down the receiver. This have happened to me once. I will unzip the software and used it on the weekend. More FTA jooo.

This forum is the geek forum. This is where I learned to install my dish. I have been enjoying Multitv ever since the installation.

If it turns out that the infinity channels are ok, I might subscribe to their plan and maintain infinity and MultiTv on one dish, then omunt another dish for other FTA. Samsom Siasia is a coach for any level of team anytime anyplace and any competition.
