This doesn’t include other fees which will be charged at a cost without an upper limit. Former spokesperson for the president, Ima Niboro, on behalf of Nigeria, signed the contract. He is currently the DG of the News Agency of Nigeria. A copy of the contract between Levick and the Nigerian government has been attached here. It is filed with the American National Security Division and Foreign Agents Registration Unit. Nigeria’s Twittersphere erupted Thursday under the hashtag #SomeoneTellLevick over a government contract signed with U.S. public relations firm Levick last month — reportedly for $1.2 million — to improve news coverage of the Nigerian government’s efforts to recover 219 abducted schoolgirls. So far, Levick has succeeded in getting some prominent media placements for embattled President Goodluck Jonathan, such as an opinion piece in the Washington Post last month. It also succeeded in upsetting a lot of Nigerians. The furious backlash over Washington-based Levick’s involvement reflects long-held sensitivity about foreigners who think they know more about Nigeria than Nigerians. Some accused the firm of profiting from the abductions. “How can @LEVICK earn filthy income on the back of innocent women (&men) that have STOOD EVERYDAY for 78 DAYS DEMANDING: #BringBackOurGirls?” tweeted former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili, one of the main organizers of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, whose work has attracted global attention to the fate of the missing girls... Many Nigerians tweeted that Levick was responsible for a “smear” campaign against the #BringBackOurGirls activists, describing them as terrorists. Ezekwesili wrote on Twitter that the firm was “evil”. “It's to SUCH HATE? That our Presidency deployed our public resources to hire US firm @LEVICK to label INNOCENT CITIZENS “terrorists”??” she tweeted Thursday. Ezekwesili was responding to a blog by Nigerian columnist Tolu Ogunlesi claiming that Levick was responsible for a statement attributed to Jonathan that criticized some members of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. The statement was released after parents of the missing girls canceled a meeting with the president Tuesday because they didn’t have enough time to get to Abuja, the capital, from Chibok. “Unfortunately, political forces within the Nigerian chapter of Bring Back Our Girls have decided to take this opportunity to play politics with the situation and the grief of the parents and the girls. They should be ashamed of their actions,” the president’s statement said. “Those who would manipulate the victims of terrorism for their own benefit, are engaging in a similar kind of evil: psychological terrorism.”.. ...Conspiracy theories, some wilder than others, abound about Boko Haram's financial support and the reasons for the failure of the military to stamp out the insurgency. A spokeswoman for Levick did not comment on whether the agency helped craft Jonathan's statement about the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. The company released a one-paragraph statement saying, “As the world witnesses the brutality of Boko Haram, and its cowardly tactics of using children as pawns in their terrorist campaign, LEVICK’s only mission is assisting the Government of Nigeria with its number one priority — the rescue of the girls and combating terrorism.”... ...“Meanwhile, our government is still busy working according to old scripts, hiring PR consultants whose efforts are either not needed, or doomed, from the beginning, to end in failure,” he wrote. “One seriously hopes these American narrative-shapers have some understanding of Nigeria beyond Wikipedia and government messaging. One also takes it for granted that they know that the people who actually have the power to shape the Nigerian narrative are the ones who employed them.” Lanny Davis, a Levick executive, told the Washington online publication the Hill that Jonathan’s priority was to recover the girls and that “there’s got to be a way to amplify what he’s saying and doing to find these girls because over here in America, we’re not hearing much about his effort.” But Ogunlesi wasn’t impressed. “I wonder how willing the consultant might be to concede to this argument: that perhaps the world is not hearing much about any efforts to rescue the girls because there are really no serious efforts going on,” he said. |

CIA Captured in Syria Working with ISIS? ISIS Now Has Material for Dirty Bomb? Posted on July 11, 2014 by willyloman by Scott Creighton
It has been reported by Dr. Mehmet Yuva of Aydinlik Daily that several “U.S. intelligence officials” have been captured along with ” Barzani’s peshmarga, officers from Arab states from the Gulf and ISIS militants ” in northern Syria by Syrian Army’s Elite Aerial Forces.
This story coincides with another report out of Iraq that states ISIS has gotten their hands on a large amount of uranium, enough to make “weapons of mass destruction”.
Is there an ISIS WMD false flag right around the corner? Will the smoking gun actually take the form of a mushroom cloud (or at least a dirty one) this time around?
“I think there will be another attack and the next time I think it’s likely to be far deadlier than the last one.” Dick Cheney, June 24th
According to the reports, they were captured in Al-Raqqah, northern Syria, which has been called the capital of the ISIS Islamic state and the launching place for their terrorist destabilization campaign in that country. It also serves as a training base for the pro-Western destabilization forces |

A Russian expert in oriental studies, Vyacheslav Matuzov, said that the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has close ties and cooperation with the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
“All facts show that Al-Baqdadi is in contact with the CIA and during all the years that he was in prison (2004-2009) he has been collaborating with the CIA,” Matuzov told Voice of Russia radio on Tuesday.
He noted that the US does not need to use drones against ISIL because it can easily have access to the ISIL leaders, adding that since the terrorist commanders are the US allies, Washington would never combat them as they are staging the US plans...
...ISIL leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, who was a detainee at US Bucca prison in 2005, has announced himself as the caliph of the Muslim world.
Reports said late last month that Local Kurdish sources revealed that Pishmarga forces have discovered Israel-packed foodstuff and equipment in ISIL hideouts in Iraq.
They said that the foodstuff and equipment have been found at the ISIL headquarters were located in Mosul and Kirkuk cities.
The Kurdish sources refrained from revealing more details about their findings.
Earlier reports also indicated that Israeli hospitals are treating the injured ISIL militants fighting in Syria.
Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu also has made a visit to the field hospital established by the Israeli authorities on the occupied Syrian territories to treat insurgents.
Reports said in May that some 283 terrorists have so far been treated in Zif Hospital in the occupied city of Safed, added to several other hundreds who have been receiving treatment at other Israeli hospitals after getting wounded while being chased by the Syrian army. ___________________________

The former NSA and CIA agent Edward Snowden revealed that the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi was trained in Israel.
Snowden added that the American CIA and the British Intelligence collaborated with the Israeli Mossad to create a terrorist organization that is able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called “the hornet’s nest”.
The “Hornet’s nest’’ strategy aims to bring all the major threats to one place in order to track them, and mostly to shake the stability of the Arab countries. The NSA documents revealed that the ISIS “Calif”, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi went trough intense military training in the Israeli intelligence “Mossad”.
Besides military training, Al Baghdadi studied communication and public speaking skills in order to attract “terrorists” from all the corners of the world. ___________________________

Jordan, where the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has been covertly training Syrian rebels for more than a year, is reluctant to host an expanded rebel instruction program, U.S. officials said.
Jordan's reticence, confirmed by four U.S. officials, is a potentially serious setback for President Barack Obama's proposed $500 million initiative, announced in June, to train and arm moderate rebels fighting the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and al Qaida-linked groups. ___________________________

Back in February 2012, WND had reported that the US, with the help of Turkey and Jordan, was running a training base for Syrian rebels in the Jordan. German weekly Der Spiegel also confirmed in 2013 that the US was still training Syrian rebels in Jordan.
The report noted that the organizers of the training wore US Marine uniforms, and the training focused on the use of anti-tank weaponry. The ISIS terrorists, who now hold almost the entire north of Iraq, have quite effectively neutralized most Iraqi tank battalions put against the invading forces.
The German magazine had also reported that the US would be training a total of 1,200 members of the Free Syrian Army in two camps in the south and the east of Jordan.
The Guardian had also reported back in March 2013 that US trainers were aiding Syrian rebels in Jordan, along with British and French instructors.
ISIS, also known as ISIL, has let loose a reign of terror both in Syria and Iraq. The group has been denounced even by Al-Qaeda for its brutality and violence.
A USA-ISIS tie-up is plausible, considering the fact how the CIA was responsible for the strengthening of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. It is widely reported that during the anti-Soviet war, Osama Bin Laden and his fighters received American and Saudi funding. Defence analysts strongly believe that Bin Laden himself had received security training from the CIA. ___________________________

A report by Andrei Ontikov from The Voice of Russia radio station noted that there is a link between Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi who was imprisoned by US forces at Bucca camp in Iraq and the CIA.
Ontikov claims that official reports from the US Pentagon say Al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), was imprisoned from February to December 2004. He was then handed to Iraqi authorities who released him. Al-Baghdadi then became a prominent figure in the ISIL following his release. Ontikov says that facts link between Al-Baghdadi and the American Central Intelligence agency (CIA).
Ontikov’s views are adopted by two other political commentators. One of them, Vyacheslav Matuzov also agreed on Ontikov’s views on Al-Baghdadi and claimed that it is clear that during the years of Al-Baghdadi’s imprisonment, he was included in the CIA’s plots in one way or another. Syrian political analyst Taleb Ibrahim claims that American sources confirm that the ongoing events in Iraq and Syria is a CIA plot and that the US is reviving the methods it used to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan by creating Al-Qaeda. Today’s events in Syria and Iraq may be a way to counter Russia’s rising role on the global scene.
The report allegedly notes that the US position on the rise of the ISIL in Iraq shows that it is in no hurry to combat the threat and by delivering a number of F-16 jets to Iraq. This shows that there may be a clear link between the ISIL and the CIA. Ontikov also noted that it is not difficult for the US to target the heads of the ISIL if they wanted to. Despite Ontikov’s report, no evidence has been provided by any of the aforementioned parties linking Al-Baghdadi to CIA operations. ___________________________

The US's Secretary of State John Kerry and its UN ambassador, Samantha Power have been pushing for more assistance to be given to the Syrian rebels. This is despite strong evidence that the Syrian armed opposition are, more than ever, dominated by jihadi fighters similar in their beliefs and methods to al-Qa'ida. The recent attack by rebel forces around Latakia, northern Syria, which initially had a measure of success, was led by Chechen and Moroccan jihadis. America has done its best to keep secret its role in supplying the Syrian armed opposition, operating through proxies and front companies. It is this which makes Seymour Hersh's article "The Red Line and The Rat Line: Obama, Erdogan and the Syrian rebels" published last week in the London Review of Books, so interesting. |

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Having scaled the heights of Earth with the world's tallest tower, the United Arab Emirates is now aiming for the stars, or just a little bit closer, with an ambitions trip to Mars. The energy-rich country on the eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula announced plans Wednesday to send the first unmanned Arab spaceship to Mars in 2021.
The ruler of the UAE's emirate of Dubai, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said the mission will prove the Arab world is still capable of delivering scientific contributions to humanity, despite the many conflicts across the Middle East.
"Our region is a region of civilization. Our destiny is, once again, to explore, to create, to build and to civilize," said Al Maktoum, who is also UAE's vice president, in a statement.
For years, the UAE has been pushing Arab League nations to create a pan-Arab space agency similar to the European Space Agency.
The government did not say how much the program is expected to cost, but said the space agency would report to the Cabinet and be financially and administratively independent otherwise.
The UAE said that its unmanned probe will take nine months and travel more than 37 million miles to Mars (60 million kilometers), making the emirates one of only nine countries with space programs to try and explore the red planet.
A UAE Cabinet statement said the project aims to advance human knowledge and develop Emirati human capital and economy, but did not list specific scientific goals for the probe.
The journey is complicated and many missions to Mars have failed. Countries first trying to launch into space usually fail more often than they succeed and that's just getting into Earth's orbit. Getting to Mars is the hardest job for even veteran space countries. Russia — the first country to go to space — failed frequently with landers, got one ship to land but only got 20 seconds of data.
The world's overall success rate in Mars missions since the 1960s is less than 50-50. NASA has the best success rate at around 70 percent. It has sent 21 missions to Mars since the 1960s, and all but six have succeeded. The U.S. is the only nation so far to land and operate long-term an unmanned ship on Mars.
The UAE, which is comprised of seven emirates, says that its investments in space technologies already exceed 20 billion dirham, or roughly $5.4 billion. That includes investments in satellite data, mobile satellite communications and earth mapping and observation.
The Cabinet statement said the space technologies industry is estimated to be worth around $300 billion globally, and is increasingly important to the security of nations.
For hundreds of years up until the mid-13th century, Islamic advancements in science and technology experienced a golden age, but later fell behind. The ruler of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and UAE President Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan said the Mars probe "represents the Islamic world's entry into the era of space exploration."
Several Muslim-majority nations such as Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey Indonesia, Pakistan and Iran already have space agencies or programs.
Iran sent a monkey into space for the second time last year, returning it safely to earth, and says it aims to send an astronaut into space.
There have also been several Muslim astronauts from around the world. Saudi-born Prince Sultan bin Salman Al-Saud became the first Muslim and Arab to travel to space in 1985.
Meanwhile, Egypt became the first Arab country to launch its own communications satellite in 1998, dramatically transforming the broadcasting landscape in the region.
The Dubai ruler said his country chose the epic challenge of reaching Mars because it inspires and motivates.
"The moment we stop taking on such challenges is the moment we stop moving forward," he said.

Winner of the British Council's innovation prize, Nasir Abdulkadir Yammama, has said he will now represent England instead of Nigeria at the upcoming global technology competition, organised by computer giants, Microsoft.
Yammama, in an interview with BBC Hausa Radio yesterday, however said sometimes in the future, he may come back to Nigeria and help towards alleviating its numerous challenges.
Presently undergoing his Master's degree at the Middlesex University in the United Kingdom, he was last week announced the winner of the British Council/Virgin Atlantic airlines' Enterprise Challenge competition, ahead of over 2000 skilled individuals who sent-in their entries for the competition.
The cell phone technology application is for Nigerian farmers to obtain information about the richness of their farmlands and marketability of their grown produce developed by the Nigerian has also fetched him a mentorship with Virgin Atlantic founder, Richard Branson.
Although Yammama, native of Katsina state, did not give reasons for representing England ahead of Nigeria, he however said that the agriculture technology that won him the award would be showcased at the international competition later this month.
"This is not the only competition I am participating in. I am still participating at the Microsoft's global technology competition. I am supposed to have represented Nigeria at it, but things have changed. I will represent England.
"Many of us are going from England. That is why they have to screen us. We are now at the semifinal stage. But this (Microsoft technology) competition is like the world cup in the area of technology innovation," he said.
The British Council said on its website that it was amazed at Yammama's vision towards the solution to Nigeria's problems.
"What struck us about Nasir was that unlike a lot of young people his age, he is actively thinking about solutions to Nigeria's current problems and he has taken a different perspective to what he believes this solutions might be," said the British Council. |

Sulaiman Bolarinde Famro from Nigeria was selected as a top 10 finalist in the 2014 Innovation Prize for Africa (IPA), which drew over 700 entries from across Africa. His innovation, the Farmking Multi-Crop Processor, is a machine used in the processing of different types of tubers to create a “paste” from the tubers that can be used to make food such as fufu, and having starch as a by-product.
Traditionally, the starch is thrown away as waste, but the Farmking allows the collection of this starch that can then be sold to the pharmaceutical industry for a number of industrial processes. This greatly increases farming outputs and revenues for farmers while saving the environment from the degradation that occurs with improper disposal of the starch.
According to Brian Sibanda of Weber Shandwick, a South African-based consulting firm, the Farmking Multi-Crop Processor’ impact on the population is that it reduces an operation that normally lasts three to four days into a five-minute process.
The top 10 African innovators are acclaimed to have succeeded in creating practical solutions to some of the continent’s most intractable challenges.
Sulaiman Bolarinde Famro’s innovation is known as a Farmking Mobile Multi-crop Processor, which uses centrifugal forces to process cassava, sweet potatoes, soy, shea-nuts, grains and cereals. It helps to separate the tubers from liquid, particles and impurities/toxic elements. The extractor is designed to replace the present crude fermentation and pressing technology, which is extremely slow and wasteful and offers limited output and profitability.
Other finalists are Ashley Uys from South Africa with the OculusID Impairment Screening, Daniel Gitau Thairu from Kenya with the Domestic Waste Biogas System, Elise Rasel Cloete from South Africa with the GMP Traceability Management Software CC, Joshua Okello from Kenya with the WinSenga, Logou Minsob from Togo with the Foufoumix, Nicolaas Duneas from South Africa with the Altis Osteogenic Bone Matrix (Altis OBM™), Maman Abdou Kane from Niger with the Horticultural tele irrigation, Melesse Temesgen from Ethiopia with the Aybar BBM and Viness Pillay from South Africa with the WaferMatTM.
The 2014 Innovation Prize for Africa was however won by Nicolaas Duneas and the partner, Nuno Peres, from South Africa as the winners of the Innovation Prize for Africa (IPA) 2014. The announcement was made during an Awards ceremony hosted by the African Innovation Foundation in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria where Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, minister of finance and co-ordinating minister, delivered the keynote speech. The winners will receive $100,000 for their research, which is an innovative product for the treatment of bone injuries and voids through the use of a regenerative biological implant.
The top 10 were selected from about 700 applications from 42 countries. Jean-Claude Bastos de Morais, founder of the African Innovation Foundation and the IPA said, “This year’s Innovation Prize for Africa winners showcase that Africans can find solutions to African challenges,” “We encourage partners from both the public and the private sectors to coherently work together to support African innovation.”
The call for applications for IPA 2015 will be announced in July 2014. For detailed information will be available at the Innovation Prize for Africa website.
Founded by the African Innovation Foundation, the IPA is focused on building Africa’s capacity by investing in home-grown innovation. The Prize mobilises leaders from all sectors – private sector, donors and government – to promote and invest in African development through innovation. The foundation believes that the best solutions to the challenges Africans face on a daily basis can and will come from Africans themselves. |

The suspect further confessed that his motive was a ploy to instil fear in the mind of the management’s chairman, and pleaded that he is actually not a terrorist. Actually, that's the definition of a terrorist - trying to instil fear and terror in people. What if there had been mass hysteria and 20 people died? He can also bomb the chairman's car in an empty car park and claim he's not a terrorist. Unfortunately for him in a 'war on terror' state of things, it has to first be assumed he's a suspect terrorist whatever his motives. |

Nigeria is currently suspended from all FIFA activities following the crisis in the administration of the game in the country.
A Jos High Court recently barred the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) from administering the game in the country, pending the determination of a suit filed by Nembe United proprietress, Mrs. Baribote.
Following the ruling by the court, the Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, swiftly appointed an interim management committee to run the federation, but FIFA said the action amounts to government interference on football matters.
The football governing body suspended Nigeria from all its activities until the restoration of the status quo.
Since then, the South African Football Association (SAFA) has been lobbying to take advantage of Nigeria’s suspension to field a team at the Canada 2014 Women Under-20 tourney.
SAFA President, Danny Jordaan, was at the FIFA office in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday in continuation of his bid to get his country in Canada in place of Nigeria.
A source close to FIFA told The Guardian yesterday that Jordaan, ‘‘impressed on FIFA his country’s readiness to present a team to replace Nigeria as Africa’s representative, saying his country has a standing team that can compete successfully.
Although FIFA President, Joseph Blatter and Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, did not say whether they would grant South Africa’s request or not, there is the determination of the body to teach Nigeria a lesson once and for all.
“Some other African countries have been stoking the fire, arguing that Nigeria behaves as if it is above the law world football.” |

58 Killed In Hospitals In South Sudan Conflict NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Patients were shot in their hospital beds, medical and humanitarian staff killed, and medical facilities were destroyed in fighting in South Sudan since December in actions that breach international law, an aid group said in a report released Tuesday.
Doctors Without Borders said the attacks on health facilities are denying medical assistance to hundreds of thousands. The group said of 58 killed in four hospitals, 25 were patients, 27 had sought shelter, four remain unidentified and two are government officials. Hospitals have also been looted.
"Humanitarian law and principles provide legal protection to civilian populations and medical personnel and the medical mission in particular. Deliberate attacks on medical facilities and personnel constitute a clear violation of such provisions," the group said in a report that stated all parties in the conflict are bound by provisions of International Humanitarian Law.
South Sudan was plunged into violence in December when President Salva Kiir accused former Vice President Riek Machar of attempting a coup.
Thousands have died and more than 1.3 million people have fled their homes since the conflict erupted, often pitting Kiir's Dinka tribe against Machar's Nuer community. The fighting has reduced significantly since the latest cease-fire agreement signed on June 10, but the negotiations being held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia between the two factions have stalled.
The United Nations has also said in reports that there have been gross violations of human rights "on a massive scale."
In Bor the capital of Jonglei State, a team from Doctors Without Borders was told of 14 patients who were shot dead in the Bor State Hospital during December attacks. The team said they also saw the decomposed bodies of a woman and child in a water tank in the hospital compound.
At the Malakal Teaching hospital in the capital of Upper Nile State, a Doctor Without Borders emergency coordinator said after withdrawing in February because of heaving fighting, the aid workers returned later that month and found 14 dead bodies scattered around the compound. Eleven of the bodies belonged to patients.
"Such acts also have far-reaching consequences, as people become afraid of hospitals and of seeking medical care," the aid group said and appealed for accountability from the all armed actors engaged in the conflict. South Sudan appoints Nigerian TB Joshua Presidential Advisor for Religious Affairs Speaking to the religious press on arrival in Juba, the VP said T.B Joshua will bring something the government side misses in this crisis – a living prophet.
“The rebels have prophet Ngundeng on their side, now we have T.B Joshua on ours,” he said.
Ngundeng is worshipped and respected by some in the Nuer tribe. Like many prophets before him, he said a lot of things and some of those have happened in exactly the way and at the time the believers wanted it to happen.
T.B Joshua is expected to be sworn in one of these Sundays. Preparations are ongoing in Juba to land his private jumbo jet and accommodate his entourage for the swearing-in ceremony.
T.B Joshua will join the likes of ex-prime minister of Britain Tony Blair as the few foreigners paid to advise the presidency. |

Politics › Outrage Trails Ogboni Pastor’s Revelations by abdnMe(op): 12:24pm On Jul 05, 2014 |

Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and Christian leaders across the country have lambasted Prophet Solomon Oladimeji, the Cherubim and Seraphim Church prophet who confessed to being a top Ogboni leader in an interview with SATURDAY SUN last week. The prophet in the exclusive interview with TUNDE THOMAS further claimed that his membership of Ogboni fraternity is not only well known to his church members but also to the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, where he claimed to be playing prominent role at Alapere, and Odongunyan branches of the association in Lagos State.. While saying that he was not ashamed to be an Ogboni leaderr just as he is not ashamed of being a disciple of Jesus Christ, the prophet said he is using his membership of Ogboni fraternity to win more souls for Jesus Christ. Describing Oladimeji as an anti-Christ, CAN, speaking through its Secretary-General, Rev. Musa Asake, implore true believers to keep away from Oladimeji whom he further described as a fake and a deceiver. “That man is doomed if he failed to repent and ask for forgiveness. He should not be referred to as a pastor or prophet, the spirit of Christ is not dwelling in him. He is possessed by a demonic spirit. He is an agent of darkness. Below is an excerpt from the interview: How would you react to Pastor Solomon Oladimeji’s declaration that he is not only a minister of God but that he is also a top leader in Ogboni fraternity, and that Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Odongunyan branch in Ikorodu, Lagos State, is aware of his membership of the fraternity? Pastor Oladimeji or whosoever is not a Christian. I want the whole world to know that he is a fake pastor. Oladimeji is an agent of darkness. Satan and not Jesus Christ is his father. I want Nigerians and the whole world to know that this man is an evil man. There is no way light and darkness can co-exist, Jesus Christ is light, while Ogboni to which Oladimeji claimed to be a top member is an evil association, an occultic group. Oladimeji and his co-travellers in that group are messengers of the devil. Oladimeji is a man of deceit. He should not be taken serious by genuine born-again Christians. Oladimeji should repent now or he will rot in hell fire. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, had warned us that it’s not everybody who claims to be His follower that is truly born of the Holy Spirit. Oladimeji is a wolf in sheep’s skin. There is no way CAN would tolerate such apostle of darkness in its midst. He is a name-dropper. Let him provide the whole world with the full details of membership of CAN. He is a fake. Let him show concrete evidence of his membership of CAN like registration number, his membership card duly endorsed by the local branch of CAN among a host of other details. CAN is waiting for him to do this. His failure to do so will prove to the whole world that the man is an occultic rather than a minister of God that he claimed to be. From his conduct and utterances, it is glaring to anybody who has the discerning spirit that Oladimeji is a pathological liar. He is still an unbeliever. He needs redemption. I’m using this opportunity to denounce him before the whole world that CAN has nothing to do with Oladimeji, and the Prophetess who also claimed to be a minister of God, and at the same time Ogboni women leader. CAN is not a secret cult like Ogboni fraternity. In that interview, Pastor Oladimeji quoted scriptures to back up some of his actions and beliefs like killing animals for propriatory sacrifice to heal any sick member of his church or those brought to him for healing, what do you have to say on this? People should not be deceived by this so-called pastor’s quotation of the Bible to support or justify his devilish actions. Don’t forget that satan, Oladimeji’s godfather, also quoted the Bible. Our concern is that we pray for this man to repent now because through his actions, he is leading many gullible and innocent souls to hell. Oladimeji is a deceit, his quotation or knowledge of the Bible doesn’t make him a true believer. It is very insulting for him to claim that he is using Ogboni cult to win souls for Christ. I’m shocked and disappointed that this prophet who is living in darkness could refer to himself as a church founder. How can you be an Ogboni chieftain, and at the same time be a servant in the vineyard of the Lord? You can’t serve two masters at the same time, it is either you are in light or darkness. But it is very obvious that Oladimeji is wining and dining with the devil. He is an apostle of principalities and power of darkness condemned by the Bible... |

Villagers Frustrated With Lack of Protection From Military, Form Militias, Build Weapons and Bulletproof Clothing

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria—Many people in northern Nigeria, frustrated by a five-year insurgency and what they call a lack of military protection, are ordering what passes for bulletproof clothing, buying homemade muskets and organizing ragtag militias.
The move toward self protection—born of years of suicide attacks, shooting rampages and mass abductions of girls and boys—underscores what limited headway the military has made against Boko Haram, the brutal Islamist insurgency whose war against the government has left more than 14,000 people dead in the past three years, according to New York's Council on Foreign Relations.
Deep into the countryside, the black Boko Haram flag flies over a growing sweep of villages, many of them abandoned.
Related Mall Blast Kills at Least 21 In April, the group claimed responsibility for kidnapping more than 200 schoolgirls the night before their final exams, and on Tuesday, local vigilantes said Islamist militants abducted some 90 more people from northeastern villages. The girls remain missing, despite the presence of U.S. drones, a British spy plane, and Chinese satellites.
Their failure thus far to help rescue the girls has reinforced a belief among ordinary people that only they alone can defeat Boko Haram.
So residents here are assembling their own armies. Three closely linked vigilante groups have taken root here over the past year. They count more than 11,000 members between them.
Homemade muskets and locally made guns cost about $25 each, while foreign-made shotguns cost as much as $175 apiece. Glenna Gordon for The Wall Street Journal At first, they were equipped with sticks, machetes and table legs. Now they are scaling up, procuring locally made barrel-loaded shotguns cobbled together from car parts and scrap wood. For the first time in recent memory, vendors say there is a shortage of them.
In Maiduguri, Maina Bulama, a 74-year-old bean farmer, stitches thick leather amulets into tank tops customers wear beneath their shirts in the northeastern town. He learned the trade from his father and grandfather, who like him sewed Islamic prayers into the product to curry divine favor. In recent months, customers have arrived in swelling numbers.
"I can't even tell you the number of people I've given these to," said Mr. Bulama.
Officials fret that throwing more arms at the problem will only make it bigger, deepening instability in a country that recently surpassed South Africa as the continent's largest economy.
"This is what we are trying to avoid as much as possible," says Kashim Shettima, governor of Borno, Nigeria's most violent state. In time, he fears, armed militias and vigilante groups could "end up becoming the Frankenstein monster that will consume us."
Nigeria's military spokesman didn't respond to repeated requests for comment. In a statement last year, the military—which has said it is stretched thin policing so many conflicts, criminal movements and rebellions around the country—expressed concern that vigilante groups could be "used to settle scores or witch-hunt perceived enemies."
Kulwa Mesage, a vigilante who bought his musket for roughly $24, says he is saving up for a $175 foreign-made shotgun. "We prefer the pump action," he says...
... In the south, gunmen frequently kidnap prominent Nigerians for ransom, prompting village chief Anthony Ijele, among others, to buy his own shotgun. "Guns have been used to stabilize American society and it is that stability that we want in Nigeria," he says... https://i62.tinypic.com/vwqq2r.jpg |
Politics › CNN Claims BH Working With Niger Delta Kidnappers by abdnMe(op): 10:50pm On Jul 01, 2014 |
What a crazy world. Source: http://edition.cnn.com/2014/06/24/world/africa/nigeria-kidnapped-captain/index.html
... Thomas and his engineer were the only ones to be kidnapped by the pirates, driven away in a speed boat and held in Nigerian swamps and jungles for 18 days. The experience was so horrific that even today Thomas is unable to bring himself to reveal all details of his captivity.
"We weren't being punched or kicked or anything like that but just I've told people that I would have rather been punched then went through what I went through," Thomas said. "The mental abuse of it with the guns pointing at you. And knowing how unstable these guys are."
Thomas said there were about 18 Nigerian kidnappers, some chain-smoked marijuana or crack incessantly, constantly waving their weapons and making threats.
Food consisted of instant noodles -- on days the negotiations were going well -- and maybe a bottle of water. And his captors blared their music constantly, fixated on, of all things, country singer Dolly Parton's song, "Coat of Many Colors," and the music of hip hop artist 50 Cent. "I knew I was going to die. We knew it every day, every night," he said. Despite the chaos in the jungle, Thomas said the leaders were organized, using satellite phones to negotiate, first demanding a $2 million ransom. Thomas believes the payoff was eventually whittled down to several hundred thousand dollars, though CNN cannot confirm who paid the ransom or who received it.
Thomas said one evening he and his engineer were told to get in a small boat with six pirates. They motored for about two hours to reach a village. There, four of the pirates got out and met some other men who handed them backpacks, Thomas told CNN. They returned to the boat and counted the cash stuffed into the bags. After a dispute, Thomas says he and the engineer were taken to the other men and told to lie on the ground until the pirates left. Then they were put in a car and driven off. Later they were transferred to a second car, where a representative from the shipping company was waiting for them. At that point they were finally free, 18 days after being seized at gunpoint.
After a debriefing by his ship managers, then a similar one by the FBI in Lagos, Nigeria, Thomas returned to the United States last November, days after his release. He has been seeing mental health advisers and other medical professionals since.
But his hostage-taking and the negotiations that freed him have raised alarm bells in counterterrorism circles and elsewhere for numerous reasons; not the least is Thomas' claim that the FBI told him the money paid for his freedom may eventually have wound up in the hands of the notorious terror group Boko Haram.
That is the same group that in April kidnapped nearly 300 Nigerian girls. They're also blamed for laying waste to multiple villages in the northern part of the country, burning them down and killing many people in bomb attacks. Thomas said during his debriefing in Lagos the FBI indicated that the money paid for his freedom may have been funneled through other groups before making its way to Boko Haram. The FBI would not comment. CNN cannot independently confirm whether Boko Haram received any money from the kidnapping... |

Nigeria needs to produce and not just consume. The country has become important for bad news in the western media because they fear one day you may become an economic/military powerhouse like China which once upon a time was looked down upon like Nigeria. Good observations. Actually, another problem we face in Nigeria is the issue of inferiority complex - we sit back and accept whatever we are told about ourselves by others we deem superior humans to us.
One recent example is the International Monetary Fund organisation in Europe telling Nigeria to yet again stop making fuel affordable to ordinary Nigerians and increase taxes. If that were the case, one would have thought that we could also copy the Europeans with their 'welfare state' models by using money we are told we would gain from removing subsidies, into increasing workers' wages/salaries and paying weekly/monthly benefits to unemployed Nigerians.
But gradually, awareness is increasing amongst Nigerians as they discover their rights as equal citizens of the world. |
