Onitsha and all South Eastern cities are naturally made for skyscrapers! The East is densely populated, the people are culturally mobile and always forward moving. Folks there are into businesses which with calculated governments support, will explode into bigger things. In Onitsha, most new houses are all 5 storey buildings. No day passes in Onitsha without dozens of 5 storey buildings being constructed. The whole apartments which are mainly residential get filled up even before construction works finishes. That is very encouraging, but at the same time, I noticed that most tall buildings in the city erected for business purposes barely get filled up, especially those built outside the main commercial districts. This should interest the Anambra State government..
