14. SIX OR SEVEN DAYS OF 24 HOURS (MONDAY, TUESDAY ETC)

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (s) took hold of my hands and said:

Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and He caused the animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (peace be upon him) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon and night. This hadith is narrated through another chain of transmitters.

On the contrary, the book of truth says:

 Surah Al-Araf, Verse 54:

Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Al-‘Allaamah al-Mu‘allimi (may Allah have mercy on
him) said:

There is nothing in this hadith to indicate that Allah
created anything on the seventh day except Adam,
and there is nothing in the Qur’an to indicate that
He created Adam in the first six days; rather this is
known to be incorrect.

In the verses at the beginning of al-Baqarah which
speak of the creation of Adam, and in some
reports, there is that which may be understood to
mean that there were creatures that lived on the
earth before Adam, and that lived for a long time.
This may support the view that the creation of
Adam came much later than the creation of the
heavens and the earth.

Think about the verses and the hadith in the light of
this explanation, and it will become clear to you, if
Allah wills, that the claim that this hadith contradicts
the apparent meaning of the Qur’an will be
resolved, praise be to Allah.
Al-Anwaar al-Kaashifah (p. 187, 188)

Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him)
said:

It is not contrary to the Qur’an in any way
whatsoever, in contrast to what some people may
think. The hadith explains how things were created
on the face of the earth, and that that happened in
seven days. The statement of the Qur’an, that the
creation of the heavens and the earth occurred in
six days, is not contrary to that, because it is
possible that these six days were something other
than the seven days mentioned in the hadith. It – I
mean the hadith – is speaking of one stage in the
development of creation on the face of the earth,
until it became fit for habitation. This is supported
by the fact that the Qur’an states that some days
with Allah, may He be exalted, are as a thousand
years, and some are as fifty thousand. So why
shouldn’t these six days be like that? And the seven
days could be like the days that we know, as the
hadith clearly states. In that case there is no
contradiction between this hadith and the Qur’an.
Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh (3/1597)

According to either view, there is no contradiction
between the number of days in which Allah created
the heavens and the earth, which is six days, and
the creation of Adam on Friday. According to the
first view, Friday is included in the six days. This is
clear and there is no problem in understanding it.
But according to the second view, the creation of
Adam is not included in the heavens or the earth, as
is also the case with regard to the creation of the
angels, Iblees and the devils. Rather the apparent
meaning of the Qur’an is that the creation of the
heavens and the earth and all that is between them
occurred before the creation of all of these
creatures.

12. PROPHET WAS ALLEGEDLY BEWITCHED

Narrated `Aisha:

that Allah's Messenger (s) was affected by magic, so much that he used to think that he had done something which in fact, he did not do, and he invoked his Lord (for a remedy). Then (one day) he said, "O `Aisha!) Do you know that Allah has advised me as to the problem I consulted Him about?" `Aisha said, "O Allah's Messenger (s)! What's that?" He said, "Two men came to me and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet, and one of them asked his companion, 'What is wrong with this man?' The latter replied, 'He is under the effect of magic.'...

QUR'AN TALKS

Allah refer to whoever believed or accused the Prophet of being bewitched as wicked and misguided.

Surah Al-Isra, Verse 47 - 48:

We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee (O Muhammad); and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched (mashur)!

See what they liken you to! So they have gone astray and cannot find the way."
You must be a Shia for arriving at a completely misinformed conclusion

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be
pleased with her) said: A spell was put on the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) until he imagined that he had done a thing
when he had not done it. One day he made du’aa’
then he said: “Do you know that Allaah has shown
me in what lies my cure? Two men came to me and
one of them sat at my head and the other at my
feet. One of them said to the other, ‘What is ailing
the man?’ He said: ‘He has been bewitched.’ He
said: “Who has bewitched him?’ He said: ‘Labeed
ibn al-A’sam.’ He said, ‘With what?’ He said: ‘With a
comb, the hair that is stuck to it, and the skin of
pollen of a male date palm. He said: ‘Where is it?’
He said, ‘In the well of Dharwaan.’” The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went
out to the well, then he came back and said to
‘Aa’ishah when he came back: “Its date palms are
like the heads of devils.” I said: “Did you take it
out?” He said: “No. Allaah has healed me, and I
feared that that might bring evil upon the people.”
Then the well was filled in.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3268; Muslim, 2189.

This has been denied by some people who said that
this could not have happened to him, and they
thought that it was a shortcoming and a fault. But it
is not as they think, rather it comes under the
heading of sickness and pain that befell him; it is a
kind of illness which befell him just as he was also
affected by poison – there is no difference between
the two. It is proven in al-Saheehayn that ‘Aa’ishah
(may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “The
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) was bewitched until he thought that he
had had intercourse with his wives when he had not
done so, and that is the worst kind of witchcraft.”
Al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad said: Witchcraft is a kind of
sickness which happened to him like other kinds of
sickness. That cannot be denied and it does not
detract from his Prophethood.

With regard to his imagining that he had done
something when he had not done it, that does not
have any impact on his truthfulness, because of the
evidence to that effect and the scholarly consensus
that he was protected from that. Rather it was one
of the matters of this world which are not the
reason for which he was sent, and which are not the
basis of his virtue and in which he was like all other
human beings. It is not far-fetched to say that he
might imagine some things that were not real, then
things became clear to him later on, as indeed
happened. End quote.

Zaad al-Ma’aad, 4/124

So it is clear that the hadeeth is saheeh, and that it
does not detract from the status of Prophethood.
Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, protected
His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) and made him infallible before this spell was
cast, during it and afterwards. The spell did no
more than make the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) think that he had had
intercourse with his wives when he had not done so;
it had to do with a purely worldly matter, and had
nothing to do with his conveying of the message at
all. The words of the scholars quoted above are
sufficient, and whoever wants to know more may
refer to Fath al-Baari and Zaad al-Ma’aad.

PoliticsBuhari Has History Of Bringing Looted Funds To Nigeria – Atiku by abdulazeez1002(op): 9:36pm On Dec 30, 2018
ABUJA – Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said President Muhammadu Buhari knows a thing or two about bringing looted funds into the country.

The former President stated this while reacting to an earlier statement credited to Buhari Support Groups, BSG, accusing him of plotting to ferry looted funds into the country ahead of the 2019 elections.

Atiku who reacted in a statement issued by his media
adviser, Paul Ibe, tasked President Buhari and his
supporters to take a trip down memory lane before making allegations they could not substantiate.

The statement read in part: “Our attention has been drawn to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari accusing the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic part PDP, Atiku Abubakar of planning to smuggle in looted funds into the country just before the February 2019 elections.

“This new accusation, like their previous allegations, is
another infantile outburst that tells more about the accuser than Atiku Abubakar.
“For the avoidance of doubt, history shows that rather than smuggle in looted cash, Waziri Atiku Abubakar has a record of preventing looted funds from being smuggled into Nigeria.

“In 1984, it was Atiku Abubakar, as head of the Murtala
Mohammed International Airport Command of the Nigerian Customs and Excise Department, that stopped the ADC of the then Military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, from smuggling in 53 suitcases of looted money into the country.

“Young Nigerians and Millennials who may not be aware of this incident, will do well to Google it. Only the guilty are afraid. It is President Muhammadu Buhari who has a history of smuggling in looted funds and not Waziri Atiku Abubakar.”

Atiku further backed up his position with a claim that a
prominent APC governor said the same thing of the
President eight years ago.

“In fact, Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna state governor), a favourite of the President and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, said as follows on October 4, 2010:

“In 1984, Buhari allowed 53 suitcases belonging to his
ADC’s father to enter Nigeria unchecked at a time the
country was exchanging old currency for new.”
The statement added that “only recently, Mr.
Abubakar’s plane was searched, his accounts have been perused and his businesses have been thoroughly investigated with a fine tooth and nothing remotely corrupt or illegal has been found.

“In desperation, the Buhari administration released this
statement to cover their shame on a day that the US based International Strategic Studies Association reported that it is the unprecedented corruption around President Buhari that has led to the recent setbacks in the war on terrorism in the Northeast and the heavy loss of lives amongst the military rank and file. May God save Nigeria from a government that values money over lives.

“We therefore urge Nigerians to note that it is Muhammadu Buhari who has a history and a record of smuggling in looted funds and it is Waziri Atiku Abubakar who has a history of preventing such from happening.

“And while they are at it, we urge them to tell Nigerians
those behind Etisalat, now 9Mobile and Keystone Bank,
now Polaris and how they suddenly possessed such wealth overnight.”

PoliticsGov El-rufai To Punish Perpetrators Of Kasuwar Magani Crisis by abdulazeez1002(op): 9:07pm On Dec 30, 2018
Kaduna – Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufa’i has
vowed to punish the perpetrators of the recent crisis at
Kasuwar Magani that led to several deaths.

He made the promise at a Town Hall meeting held at
Kasuwar Magani in Kajuru Local Government area of the
state.

According to the governor, his administration would not tolerate acts of lawlessness and urged people of the state to live peacefully with one another irrespective of differences among them.

lamented over the manner in which the social media is
being used by self-centered residents of the community to cause mayhem through the spread of fake news and hate speeches.

El-Rufa’i described such act as criminal, and vowed that those engaged in it would be duly identified and punished.

The governor assured that security agents are monitoring and tracking masterminds of crisis in the state.

He appealed to citizens of the state to report any culprit to security agencies, assuring them that criminals would nevergo free under his administration.

In his suggestion on how to end crisis in Kasuwar Magani, the District Head of Kufana, Mr Titus Dauda appealed for additional security personnel and resources in the community.

Oh his part, the Sarkin Kasuwar Magani, Ibrahim Abdullahi, said lack of necessary action against perpetrators has helped in fueling more crisis in the area and appealed to the state government to look into the matter.

He stressed that traditional leaders irrespective of religion and tribe, must shun sentiment and report any criminal act in their chiefdoms.

On his part, the Secretary of Jama’atu Nasril Islam in Kajuru local government, Tijjani Muhammad, also appealed to the governor to ensure that perpetrators “are really brought to book.”
He recalled that some of those known to have actively
participated in the crisis in the past, were arrested and
released.

The Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria in the
area, Pastor Joseph Maigida, also expressed similar
concern.

He also emphasized on the importance of living in peace with one another and urged religious and traditional leaders to always preach peace to their followers.

The purpose of the town hall meeting was to find lasting solutions to the recurring crisis in Kasuwar Magani that had led to death and destruction of properties. (NAN)

CrimeOba Of Benin Cautions Youths Against Money Rituals by abdulazeez1002(op): 8:46pm On Dec 30, 2018
The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has warned Nigerian
youths to shun money rituals.

Oba Ewuare gave the warning on Sunday during a
thanksgiving service at the Holy Aruosa Cathedral in Beninto round off the 2018 annual Igue Festival Celebrations.

He said youths who cling to the illusion that they could
become wealthy by killing people or stealing female
underwear for ritual purposes, would no doubt face the
consequence.

He added that the behaviour was abominable and alien to Benin customs and tradition.
The monarch interceded for Nigeria and her leaders and urged politicians and youths to shun acts that could undermine free, fair and credible elections in 2019.

The Oba also warned politicians to desist from violence and other acts inimical to the electoral process.

He cautioned youths not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs to cause mayhem during elections.

He announced a N2 million cash donation as welfare fund to assist children of indigent worshipers of Holy Aruosa Cathedral and the development of the church which was built in 15th Century.
The traditional ruler also announced a N50, 000 cash gift for the church choir in addition to the sum of N100, 000 donation to other departments of the church.

In his message, the Chief Priest of Holy Aruosa Cathedral, Ohen-Osa Harrison Okao, congratulated the Oba, who was clad in a white royal apparel with a beaded cap and a pair of glasses.

He implored the congregation not to adulterate Benin
culture and traditions.

The Oba was accompanied by his wives to the church
service which was conducted in Edo language.
Top palace functionaries including palace Chiefs, priests
and priestesses of different deities, members of the Benin
royal family and dukes were in attendance.
The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ),
Edo Council, led by its Chairman, Mr Roland Osakue, took
turns to pay tribute to the monarch.
The famous Guild of Bronze Casters at Igun, floated a
carnival across major streets in Benin in honour of the royal
father for a successful annual Igue festival which began on
December 14, 2018.
There was heavy security presence at the venue while the
popular Akpakpava Street was locked down during the
service as politicians jostled to get the attention of the
monarch.

PoliticsHamzat Is A Compulsive Liar who has no character for public , Says Jonathan Aide by abdulazeez1002(op): 8:34pm On Dec 30, 2018
The Office of former President Jonathan has dismissed as a blatant lie, the claim by the running mate to the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Obafemi Hamzat, that he rejected a $5million bribe from former President Goodluck Jonathan during the 2015 elections.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Ikechukwu Eze, media adviser to the former President stressed that Jonathan had never met Mr. Hamzat who he said was not relevant in the politics of 2015 elections.

Describing Hamzat as a compulsive liar, Eze stated that Hamzat does not possess the character for the office he now seeks.

Below is the full statement:

Re: $5m bribe claim: Hamzat’s blatant lie against ex-President Jonathan

Our attention has been drawn to a claim by the running mate to the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Obafemi Hamzat, that he rejected a $5million bribe from former President Goodluck Jonathan during the 2015 elections.

There is no better way to respond to this frivolous claim than to quickly dismiss it as a blatant lie apparently concocted by a wannabe politician desperate for votes in a campaign season.

In the first place this character is an obscure individual who in 2015 had neither a recognizable name nor political clout. The point has to be clearly made that former President Jonathan has never met this man who was obviously not relevant in the national politics of 2015, let alone seek to offer him bribe.

If the former President did not offer anyone bribe, having clearly acquitted himself as a man who does not believe in desperate politics, how on earth could he have sought to compromise an individual he didn’t even know and who obviously had no means of helping him politically?

Assuming anybody had $5 million dollars to spend to better his political fortune as Mr. Hamzat claimed, why seek to waste it on man who was just a commissioner prior to 2015, and whose best outing so far is to function as a hand-picked running mate to a governorship candidate in the forthcoming 2019 elections?

His is obviously the antics of a desperate and dishonest politician seeking to apply subterfuge and outright lies, believing that such could boost his lowly image, win for him public sympathy and possibly, votes. It is the action of people like Hamzat that conjures up in the minds of Nigerians the Biblical ‘Mark of the Beast’ to the effect that to be accepted in his party, one must be adept at telling lies.

If this is how Mr. Hamzat wishes to anchor his own political doctrine on lies and name dropping, he should be reminded that those who follow this route do not go far either in politics or personal growth. This definitely should not be the character and colour of a person who wants to become a governor or deputy governor of a state, lest we lose all hope in the expectation that we have all it takes to rescue our country from the bleak future that stares it in the face.

What we know about liars is that they always leave a loose end which readily exposes them for who they are. Otherwise, Mr. Hamzat should have been bold enough to tell Nigerians where the money was presented to him and in whose presence the offer was made. We have always made the point that there should be a limit to these lies, if we must make progress as a democratic nation. Nigerians are not fools. It is high time those in positions of responsibility stopped running this country on lies.

“Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is but a revelation revealed” [an-Najm 53:3-4].

Allah, may He be exalted, has enjoined upon the believers complete submission to the words of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his hadith and rulings, to the extent that He, may He be glorified, swore by His divine self that whoever hears the words of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then rejects them and does not accept them, has nothing to do with faith at all. He, may He be glorified and exalted, said (interpretation of the meaning)

“But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission” [an-Nisa’ 4:65].
