It is a situation many people can relate to especially, students. However, I also add that the home can make or mar a student. It is very difficult for a child or student who is not been cared for at home, to excel in academics.
The support a person gets from the immediate family can really go a long way in his or her life.

Do this and tell me if the lecturer will deny you 1 mark.... Remember that you not just doing this to pass you are doing it to pass with high scores like "A" or "B" then when things get bad 'C'.... As for my case because of the way I got good grades in ma First, second and third year even if in ma final I got " D " through out ma result I will still graduate with second class upper.... Op you forget to add this very important onees:
1. Loving the course you study: as the saying goes " when your in love are get blinded by what other feel that is not right.. Meaning when you love what you study be it fishery or human kinetics, when you love what you do you wouldn't get All the negative thoughts that increase your failure..
2. Balancing your social activities with your studies;
I am a final year student of Mathematics and to be honest I party, play football, hangout with ma guys, watch football a lot and even have time for my girl friend and with all these I still make A's and B's...... Because when its time to play I play and when its time to read I read also when its time to play I don't read because I will be able to focus my mind on what I do.. But what I know for sure is that I make sure that I read at least 4 hours a day and during exams or test its 8hours... Reading four hours a day from the first day of resumption will reduce the work load on you... SO I WORK HARD and PLAY HARD....
3. Understanding your Questions and Writting them;
Many new students make this mistake in their first year. Most especially those that gain Admission tru jamb, the don't know that the way you answer your secondary school question is different from A level way of answering question. When you are asked to define you don't just define, you define and explain what you understand about the definition that's how you write university exams.......
