6. After about 1 month , its time for first weeding. Cost is 350 per alapin * 30 alapin = 10500/hectare

7. Immediately after the first weeding fertilizer is applied. Currently a bag of fertilizer goes for 7k and u nid 3bags = 21k
again 200/alapin for application * 30alapin = 6000naira
Pls what's the name of the fertilizer for cassava? Where can one get it and how can one apply it( mode of application)?

I was late to have started reading this just three days ago, a topic that have emerged since 2014. But notwithstanding, I still gained a lot. Mr Jasper, more power to your elbow. To other farmers that have contributed to this topic in one way or the other, I say thank you. I noticed the disappearance of Mr Jasper along the line, please come back. You've motivated many of us, most especially those of us who are very interested in agriculture and are willing to venture into agribusiness. Keep the good work going.

LiteratureRe: Pre-marital Sex; The Underestimated Evil. by Abdullahi4u7(op): 8:53am On Feb 18, 2016
Pre-marital sex kills one's dreams. Many ambitious students have forsaken their careers as a result of this evil especially when it has resulted into unwanted pregnancy. It has become the order of the day to see the leaders of tomorrow having offsprings today. What type of future should one expect from a seventeen-year-old girl who is currently saddled with a baby, a bastard? Furthermore, pre-marital sex worsens the Nigerian economy. To be frank, the nation's economy is currently at a low ebb. People cannot eat satisfactorily yet the population keeps increasing. Those who practise pre-marital sex have caused an increase in population by their illegitimate children. Pre-marital sex increases crime rate. Unemployed boys who practise pre-marital sex are prone to committing crimes. For instance, a boy engaged in pre-marital sex and got a girl impregnated. His parents told him that, "when the wood insect gathers sticks, on its own head it carries them". He has neither learned a skill nor completed his education. How will he be able to cater for a baby and what he calls a wife? This has led many people to armed robbery and fraudulent practices. Pre-marital sex leads to prostitution. Pre-marital sex has led some girls to prostitution. For instance, try to interview some of the Nigerian Sex Workers and they would reveal to you that it was pre-marital sex that led them to prostitution. Girls who practise pre-marital sex are prone to developing abnormally high urge for sexual intercourse. In the course of sleeping with many boys, some girls have concluded that only a small proportion of men can satisfy their sexual desires and thus leads them to prostitution. Pre-marital sex leads to extra-marital affairs. People who lament the lousiness of their spouse in bed are mostly those that have engaged in pre-marital sex. They commit extra-marital affairs in the name of lousiness. For instance, if they had not practised pre-marital, how would they have been able to distinguish between a lousy and a good person in bed. Pre-marital sex is solely responsible for the spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). People who practise pre-marital sex are at the higher risk of contracting STDs. Most of the deadly diseases in the world today are STDs. "The higher the of rate pre-marital sex, the higher the rate of STDs". Do you expect the rate of STD cases to reduce when that of pre-marital sex keeps increasing? Pre-marital sex leads to losing one's virginity. Virginity is the abstinence from sexual intercourse until marriage. Your virginity they say is your pride, your dignity. As an unmarried person, do you still have it intact? We tend to have forgotten that our virginity is our pride. Nowadays, people lose their virginity too cheaply. "The girls allow just any man to uncork their wine even when he is not willing to buy it. Has the wine not been rendered useless? Has its market value not been reduced? What is so difficult in keeping the wine for a potential buyer to uncork it himself and be praised or rewarded in return for your integrity?". But unfortunately, pre-marital sex has blindfolded them to the extent of not knowing their dignity. However, having discussed the causes and consequences of this evil, there is need to state the ways in which it can be prevented. Discussed below are simple ways to prevent pre-marital sex and avoid its disastrous effects. Pre-marital sex should be a topic on its own and should be taught into details in high schools and even in higher institutions. Avoid delaying marriage, marry if you are capable. Adequate public enlightenment on pre-marital sex should be made available by the government. Parents should instill discipline in their children and tell them why they should avoid pre-marital sex. All kind of pornographic movies should be shunned. You should use your time productively and judiciously. Avoid listening to seductive songs. Keep good friends and say "NO" to courtship. LiteraturePre-marital Sex; The Underestimated Evil. by Abdullahi4u7(op): 6:41am On Feb 18, 2016
This article is written by Isiaka Idowu Abdullahi. Pre-marital sex as it is universally known is sexual intercourse by people who are unmarried. This evil is growing rapidly in the world today and Nigeria is not excluded. Pre-marital sex is practised in every part of Nigeria. It is very saddening that Nigerians seemed not to notice it, those who have been conscious of it do not regard it to be an evil yet it is. Furthermore, people tend to focus mostly on armed robbery, examination malpractices, cultism and raping. These vices are just products of pre-marital sex. Pre-marital sex is a great evil and should be stopped from eating deeper into us. There are many factors, which are responsible for pre-marital sex. Some of these factors are discussed below. Love affairs between the teenagers. This is popularly known as "dating". It is under this umbrella that most Nigerians hide to perpetrate this evil. For instance, a boy of fifteen, who is still in the High School and is still being catered for by his parents claims to have what he calls a "girlfriend". This has become a top trend in the High Schools and Higher Institutions. They would just say that they are dating each other and they indulge in sexual intercourse almost daily for crying out loud. The worst part of it is that they would not marry each other. The keeping of bad friends. Show me your friend they say, and I will tell you who you are. The type of friends we keep will determine the type of life we would live. No friend of yours will not have an impact on your life. If you keep a friend who practises pre-marital sex, he/she would make you practise it even if you had been innocent before the inception of the friendship. The music industry has also contributed greatly to the spread of pre-marital sex. "O ya show me shoki shoki shoki everybody shoki shoki shoki," this is the kind of music which Nigerian singers would sing to the ears of our teenagers and youths. What would one expect from them after they might have listened whole-heartedly to this type of music? The movie industry is also not doing any good. Most of its movies are too sexually oriented. Its excessive pornographic scenes tend to arouse the teenagers because they are not robots, they derive pleasure in sexual intercourse and thus practise pre-marital sex. Covetousness is another factor that is responsible for pre-marital sex. Most students practise pre-marital owing to their covetousness. The female students specifically have been lured into this act by money. They would not be satisfied with whatever their parents have provided for them. They would like to wear expensive clothes and use latest phones yet they are unemployed. It is in the process of having too much desire for worldly things that they would fall victims of pre-marital sex. Poor academic performance also leads to pre-marital sex in schools. This is common between teachers/lecturers and their female students. They tend to focus mainly on the dullards because they are gullible. They are deceived with free marks in their examinations because they had certainly performed woefully. From my research, I have also been able to discover that girls who are academically poor are prone to selling themselves cheaply to the boys. Inadequate orientation and enlightenment. It is a common scenario to see a young girl being defiled by a pedophile even when she had not been oriented or enlightened on sexual intercourse by her parents, guardian or teachers. Some of the victims of pedophiles could have cried out if they had known what they were intending to do. There has not been adequate enlightenment in schools and at homes. This has caused many teenagers to find themselves practising pre-marital sex unintentionally. Celebration of valentine. Through the celebration of valentine, people practise pre-marital sex either deliberately or unintentionally. Some girls who are virgins usually lose their virginity enthusiastically on the valentine's day. They would think that they just have to do it on that day especially when they have boyfriends. Valentine's day night parties also cost some innocent girls their virginity, they are either aroused in the course of romantic dancing with a stranger or take alcoholic drinks which might make them tipsy and unconscious while they are being defiled. Delay in marriage. Marriage delay can lead to pre-marital sex. Men are not robots. Not marrying at the right time cannot stop one from developing sexual urge. Despite the fact that pre-marital sex is underestimated, its consequences are very disastrous. Some of its consequences are discussed below.

Drdonzeez:
Even if It had secured it's first clinical accreditation which I'm not sure ,you cannot rule out the fact that It won't face any challenge in the future ! It's more adviceable to pick a well established medical school. Even though, challenges may come up in one way or the other,It's reputation will speak for itself.I'm sure you wouldn't want to spend 12 years studying medicine. there are better institutions around.Goodluck!
Thanks for your piece of advice. I'm grateful.
