The Chairman of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC), Dr Uthman Ajidagba today declared all the 16 candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) for the chairmanship seats as the winners of the yesterday election.
Ajidagba gave the declaration today during the press briefing that took place this evening at the KWASIEC office, Fate road, Ilorin.
The KWASIEC Chairman announced further that APC won 181 councillorship seats out of the total number of 193 wards in the state, as PDP clinched 8 wards while remaining for wards were declared inconclusive.
Ajidagba explained further that PDP won three councillorship seats in Oke-Ero, two seats in Ilorin East, (Zango ward and Ibagun ward); two wards in Ilorin West, (Ogidi ward and Oloje Ward), and one ward in Edu local government, (Lafiagi ward 4).
However, the election of Adewole ward in Ilorin West LG and Bode Saadu Ward in Moro LG were declared inconclusive, while the election did not take place in two wards in Lafiagi town.
Is'haq Babatunde reports that the KWASIEC Chairman thanked the security agencies and journalists for giving the commission necessary support before, during and after the election.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad has commended People of Kwara for demonstrating high sense of maturity, decorum and peaceful conduct in the weekend's Local Government election in the State.
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad, made the commendation, while reacting to the outcome of the Saturday's Council Poll in the State.
Dr. Ahmad in a Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdul Rahman Sanni, noted with delight that the high sense of decorum, maintained by the entire Citizenry of the State, inspite of the determination of the opposition to prevent the election from holding, by causing mayhem, before and during election.
He said the State could only attain the desired political transformation

These people should remember that currently under Nigeria law, they have declared ipob as a terrorist group, therefore they can be killed anyhow. I'm less concerned about granting biafra Republic or not, it's none of my business but they should be wise enough in order to protect thier dearest lives.
