Politics / Delegates Please Elect Aspirant With Least Baggage As Candidate For President II by Abel7777: 9:12am On May 23, 2022
Dear APC Delegates Please Elect The Aspirant With The Least Baggage As Candidate For President II.

In the first series of this effort I put 8 of the Aspirants seeking the APC Presidential Ticket to the crucible, indeed this exercise houses no grudge or bias, it is but a didactic and patriotic effort at ensuring that the esteemed delegates of our great Party the APC choose the best person to fly the flag of the Party in the 2023 Presidential election.

The Ruling Party must realize that so much is expected of us by Nigerians, and largely the delegates are the ones in the eye of the storm. You owe Nigeria and Nigerians a great responsibility which is chiefly to elect a Presidential Candidate that understands the urgency of now, and one that connects with the aggregate demand for a new deal and a new Nigeria. And I believe that you will do justice to this onerous task.

Here are my candid analysis of the chances ditto the baggage of some more Aspirants within the APC if by Jove our Dear Delegates would do that which is forthright, trite and right.

DIMEJI BANKOLE. This former Speaker of the 6th House of Representatives that has been largely silent and quiet since he left the National Assembly comes in as not only an unwilling horse, but as one who is not seriously interested in the contest. The fact that he is not campaigning at all or reaching out to delegates gives the impression that the gamble of 100m naira for the APC Presidential Nomination Form may be an expensive gambit for political relevance and visibility. That he is seen as one of the pretenders with perhaps a different motive is a huge baggage.

ROCHAS OKOROCHA. This two-term former Governor of Imo State is one of the Aspirants from the Southeast. He is not in anyway an unwilling horse, this attempt being his fourth. He however comes in with the huge baggage of allegedly corruptly enriching himself, his family and proxies whilst in office as the Governor of Imo State, his cases with the EFCC speaks to that. He's also accused by his successor Governor Hope Uzodinma of being behind the rising insecurity in Imo State. And as the immediate past Governor of the State in the same Political Party as the incumbent the raging disharmony in the Party in State is another huge baggage.

UJU KENNEDY. Is the only female Aspirant in the race for the APC Presidential Ticket. Her vision, courage and strength is salutary, however the absence of political visibility, impact and capital is a huge baggage as the quest for the high office of President is not a turf for those not known to have had any serious or radical impact on the socio-political amphitheatre.

NICHOLAS FELIX. This good looking US-based Clergyman is the youngest Presidential Aspirant in the fray. He is largely unknown and comes in with the baggage of one seemingly seeking political relevance, and one that colours him as one of the pretenders having failed to effectively put before the people and the delegates his vision for Nigeria. If he builds on the mention of the present bid, he is perhaps a candidate for the future.

KEN NNAMANI. A former President of the Senate who led the popular rejection of President Obasanjo's 3rd Term bid by the National Assembly. He comes in with an uncanny baggage as many see his attempt at occupying the country’s highest office as a race to nowhere. Only last March he lost the bid to become the Deputy National Chairman of our great party thus underscoring the depth of his popularity within the Party, therefore putting him forward to fly the Party's flag in the 2023 Presidential contestation will most likely do the Party great disservice.

BEN AYADE. This former Senator who is presently rounding up his second term as Governor of Cross River State would perhaps not be seen as a serious contender but for the N100 million he paid for the nomination form. He comes in with the baggage of one seeking to remain politically relevant after his tenure. Clearly, not reaching out to the people and the delegates of our great Party the APC presents him as being in the presidential race for negotiation to become Vice President should the Presidential candidate come from the North.

MOHAMMED BADARU. This urbane gentleman and the serving Governor of the State of Jigawa is one of the many Presidential Aspirants whose entry into the race is viewed with much curiousity. He comes in with the baggage that defines his late indication of interest to run for President as one primed for political relevance and perhaps for consideration for the Vice Presidential Ticket should the APC Presidential Candidate come from the South little wonder he appears not to be reaching out to the people and to the delegates of our great Party.

AJAYI BOROFFICE. This good looking and eloquent Senator from Ondo State comes in as an underdog in the APC presidential race. The baggage he comes in with is that he is perceived by many as seeking to gain prominence and relevance as one of those who ran for the Presidential Ticket of the Party, this baggage is hinged on his rather quiet approach to the race.

Dear Delegates of our great Party, I shall in a few days put before you the conclusion of this effort as I assess the last batch of Presidential Aspirants, however it is my candid plea that you give primacy to the call to put before Nigerians a candidate with great love, passion and commitment to birth and berth a New Nigeria. We must put our best foot forward and the linchpin must be competency and capacity, for the time to reset, re-fix and rework Nigeria is now. God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / Please Elect The Aspirant With The Least Baggage As Candidate For President (1) by Abel7777: 2:07pm On May 20, 2022
Dear APC Delegates, Please Elect The Aspirant With The Least Baggage As Candidate For President (1)

Every mortal has his or her own baggage, we aren't Saints for saints aren't mortal. We are therefore judged as good or bad based on the weight of our baggage. As the Primaries of the Political Parties approach, this effort is a plea to the delegates of our great Party the All Progressive Congress APC, to elect as our Presidential flagbearer the Aspirant with the least baggage.

The challenge to sift or if you like identify the Aspirant with the least baggage out of the 23 Aspirants who obtained the APC Presidential Nomination Form and are still in the race to become the Presidential candidate of the APC is an onerous one, but I shall attempt to do so as dispassionately as possible, because we must as a party put our best foot forward.

BOLA AHMED TINUBU BAT. This seasoned politician is perhaps one of the front line contenders for the APC Presidential Ticket. He comes in with the heaviest baggage. There is the baggage of alleged corruption and primitive accumulation of wealth with his siphon pump directly fixed to the Lagos State treasury. There is the Bullion Van baggage. There is the baggage of age, fitness and health. And there is the baggage of pride, ego and arrogance, see the way he talks down on the other Aspirants, the way he denigrates the Youths, the Media, and the way he carries on like the 2023 Presidency is his patrimony.

AHMED YERIMA. The former Governor of Katsina State comes in with a heavy baggage. The one of alleged religious fundamentalism. The one of child marriage. The one of disrespect for the rights of women and untamed patriarchy. And questions about his watch over Zamfara State.

ROTIMI AMAECHI. The immediate past Minister of Transportation, 8years Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, and two term Governor of Rivers State comes in with very heavy baggage. The one of over 15billion allegedly looted whilst he was Governor, to his lacklustre watch over the State. The one of several over invoiced contracts in the Ministry of Transportation to the poor safety regime for our Rail transport system. From the many double speak on issues of State to the fact that the Party in his home State is in disarray no thanks to his arrogance and naivety.

PROF YEMI OSINBAJO. The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria comes in with a fantastic CV but with a baggage that presents him as an unwilling horse, indeed his marketers may have unwittingly done great disservice to his candidacy. Nigerians are in need of a President who sees the job as his unalterable commitment to purpose and destiny, not one who had to oblige the plea to run.

ADAMS OSHIOMOLE. The former Governor of Edo State comes in with a huge baggage. His alleged egocentricity is at the core of the Party losing his home State. His legendary 'I Am The Boss' disposition saw to his awkward exit as the National Chairman of the Party. And the baggage of the many files with the EFCC speaks poorly about his position on anti corruption.

EMEKA NWAJIUBA the immediate past Minister of State for Education comes in with the baggage of a less than wholesome handling of the ASUU, ASUP, NASU issues, the poor mediation of matters relating to the Ivory Towers ditto our tertiary institutions and the Strikes involving almost all sectors of our public tertiary schools, and several scandals involving Federal Government Schools.

OGBONNAYA ONU. The immediate past Minister of Science and Technology, a fine gentleman comes in with the baggage of a very lacklustre watch over the Ministry of Science and Technology. For almost 7years as the Minister of Science and Technology, it was all talk and less remarkable strides.

PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE. A fine clergyman who very recently stoked the ethnic fire with several unguarded remarks about one of the three major ethnicity in Nigeria. An Activist whose shots have shown huge bias for friendship and ethnicity. And an outsider in the larger political calculus cannot lead the Party to the challenge for the top job come 2023 as he comes in with the many baggage described above.

The challenge of birthing and berthing a new Nigeria is the cross before all Nigerians, whether of the APC, the PDP, the other Political Parties, and the nonpartisan, we must therefore dispassionately subject those seeking to steer the ship of State come 2023 to the stiffest and the most stringent intellectual crucible, we must make competency and capacity the linchpin and patriotism our watchword.

The Conversation Continues in a few days. God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / Agbese's Blackmail And Threat To APC Chances In Zone C by Abel7777: 8:59pm On May 13, 2022
The APC in Benue Zone C recently witnessed the arrival of a young man called Philip Agbese into the party with the ambition of representing the Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

The self acclaimed philanthropist who is yet to say what he does for a living, has since his arrival into the Enone politics become the mastermind of politics of bitterness and blackmail in the constituency.

Philip Agbese who gave himself the title Okanga 1 of Agila Land in Benue state has on many occasions lied that he’s a British lawyer but unknown to his unsuspecting people, he has never been to the British law school before not to talk of having any certification of attendance as revealed by our independent investigation.

Further investigation about this self acclaimed British lawyer reveals that Philip Agbese has a gang of young yahoo boys around him who he uses as cover for his media business.

He is alleged to be a kingpin, notorious blackmailer, who is a specialist in mobilizing social media hoodlums to attack any government official who refuses to fall for his blackmail to pay him off.

One of his victims among many is the minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, the former governor of Benue state.

Recall that in 2013 Senator George Akume was notoriously blackmailed by Agbese who claimed that Akume had forged his academic credentials and used it to secure the governorship position in Benue and also used same forged credentials to win the election that brought him to the Senate.

However, the former governor was able to clear his name after he tendered copies of his original credentials, which were attached to his statement of defense, in the suit filed by Philip Agbese who accused Akume of forging his certificate hence unqualified to stand for an election.

Former deputy governor, Chief Steven Lawani was not left out of Agbese's blackmail game as he did all to blackmail him before his principal Gabriel Suswam the former governor of Benue state.

Amazingly, today Agbese is all out again with his blackmail game, all in a bid to get the Enone house of Rep ticket of the APC to which the leaders of the party and delegates have outrightly rejected him even before the party primaries .

Information available to us says that, Agbese whose frivolous attempt to blackmail Akume all to destroy his political career has also put plans in place to drag the minister should he not get the party ticket in few days as the party is set to go into the primaries.

Finally, we wish to thank our leader and father, senator George Akume, minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs for building a very strong leadership in the APC family in zone c and Benue at large.

The ENONE APC YOUTH NETWORK are determined to deliver the APC in all possible positions in the 2023 elections.

Thank you and God bless.

Evangelist Jame Adaudu

Nairaland / General / Pwds Seek Better Amenities At Airports by Abel7777: 10:45pm On May 11, 2022
Mr David Anyaele, Convener, Coalition of Disability Organisation (CODO), has urged the Federal Government to step up efforts to provide amenities for People with Disabilities (PWD) at airports across the country.

Anyaele made the appeal on Wednesday at a public presentation and training on access to airport for persons with disabilities, held at Academy Guest House, Ikeja, Lagos.

The convener urged the government to train relevant personnel on ways to handle people with disabilities.
He said that PWDs experienced challenges and discrimination in airports across the country.

“People with Disabilities experience a lot of hardship in the country and the difficulty in travelling through the airport isn’t easy at all because there are no basic amenities for us there.

“We are treated harshly by airport staff because of our disabilities, so special training should be organised for airport and airline personnel on the needs of PWDs and how best to meet them.

“In other countries, there are wheelchair elevators that convey us to the aircraft and back, but in this country, there is none like that, as even the bus that would carry you to the point of entry of the aircraft isn’t user friendly in all ramifications.

“The government needs to address this urgently because there are so many difficulties we experience in the airport and it shouldn’t be so,” he said.

Anyaele urged the Federal Government to carry out more enlightenment programmes on the need to respect the right of PWDs.

He said that there should be advocacy for the implementation and enforcement of the National Disability Laws and other laws in order to protect rights of persons with disabilities.

The convener said that travel information at airports should be provided in accessible formats for various categories of PWDs.

“The airport authorities need to go beyond the use of public address systems for announcement which persons with auditory impairment may not be able to decode.

“There should also be provision for inclusion of information at booking points so as to indicate their status and special needs, for airport officials to make necessary arrangements to meet their needs,” he said.

Mr Rabiu Yadudu, Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN), in his remark, said that relevant personnel had been trained on how to attend to people with disabilities.

Yadudu, who was represented by Mr Ayinla Gbolahan, International Terminal Manager, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, said that the training would help in resolving some of the issues.

“The relevant personnel are being trained on how to provide the necessary needs of PWDs, especially those who provide assistive services in the airport.

“We are committed in ensuring that we provide the relevant services to make the airport comfortable for the people, so various steps have been carried out in ensuring that,” he said.

Mr Abdulwahab Matepo, a man with disability, told the News Agency of Nigeria, that discrimination was a major problem for people with disabilities.

He said that amenities were not provided for disabled people in public places.
“Discrimination against people with disabilities is a major problem in this country and this issue can be addressed by enlightening the public about this.
“Also, in most public places, amenities for PWDs are not provided and one of the reasons for that is because of the discrimination against us.

“People need to realise that we are also human beings and we didn’t decide to be this way, so, we should be treated like every other being,” he said.

Politics / 2023 Presidency: Between Contenders, Pretenders and Governor Yahaya Bello by Abel7777: 7:36am On May 10, 2022
Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, Convener "COUNTRYFIRST MOVEMENT" and also National Coordinator "GOT YOUR BACK NIGERIA", Has said Governor Yahaya Bello stands out and will emerge candidate of the All Progressive Congress and president come 2023.

Nwaokobia Jnr in a press release to newsmen , said these are interesting times, interesting politics and interesting moment.

"Indeed our Country appears drawn in a massive succession frenzy, to borrow from that epic MKO Abiola's HOPE 1993 campaign song, 'Nigeria on the march again, voting/looking/searching/waiting for Mr President...', the march is apparently long, large and loaded. The list of Aspirants across the two major political parties and more, is long, large and loaded. The characters and tendencies long, large and loaded. And the capacity, the competency and the plumage of the actors long, large and loaded".

"At the last count the number of Presidential Aspirants across partisan divides are more than 50. Over 25 doled out 100m naira to purchase the Presidential Nomination Form of the APC. Another 20 or so paid 40m naira for the Presidential Nomination Form of the leading opposition party the PDP. And several other Aspirants have sprouted from the many other parties, interesting times indeed".

"Curiously Nigerians have wondered why the huge number of Aspirants particularly in the APC. Don't forget that the APC is the party in power at the centre. Do not also forget that the APC has almost twice the number of States controlled by the PDP. And do not forget that the APC is presently the largest and the most populous Party in Nigeria. So the number of Aspirants may just be understandable".

"What however bothers the carapace of my mind is the reason, and or reasons why so many people/persons who are apparently political light weights would dish out 100m or 40m naira as the case may be, for the expression of interest and presidential nomination forms of parties when they are almost certain they cannot win the contestation to emerge as flagbearers of their Parties for the 2023 Presidential polls. Politicians eh!! What a specie of homo sapiens you would say".

"As we approach 2023, we have seen the desperation and the thin moral fibre and fabrics of our political operators. We have seen governmental appointees abandoning their brief to pursue personal ambition without resigning from office, for all they care Nigeria should wait until they win or lose their Party Primaries, here I have Ministers Godswill Akpabio, Rotimi Amaechi, Emeka Nwajiuba, Chris Ngige, Timipreye Sylva, Ogbonnaya Onu et al on my mind".

"We have also seen the heavily skewed morality of the Chief Banker who sits atop the Central Bank of Nigeria, not only is he a Political Party member against the rules of public service, but is surreptitiously seeking the high office of President. Hmmm, Na waooo!!! If they cannot take the plunge by resigning to pursue their political ambition, then at best they are mere gladiators and pretenders seeking nothing but further political relevance. Or how do you describe a people whose preoccupation, predilection, proclivity and propensity is 'me and my ambition' before the nation? Aren't they at best public deserters, having without an ounce of morality left their offices to pursue delegates across the nation. When will the power mongers who predominate our space have some space for morality and a place for due process? So sad".

"They have sought as pretenders to keep the Country in waiting, they have ignored the spirit of the draftsman who figured out that the now contentious Section 84 of the Electoral Act as amended should make Appointees of State nursing political ambition to resign so that governance does not suffer. Alas to them, Nigeria can go to blazes, their personal ambition must come first, and you think that they are not pretenders? Nigeria deserves the best going forward. And only patriots shall be considered as contenders going forward. Do they for Godsake think that Nigeria is a private estate that must wait on, and for them? We shall see!!"

"I have seen on our political amphitheatre three or four serious contenders, yes I shall name them, and may the debate grow a life of it's own. These contenders are indiscriminate of political parties. I have seen the former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi, he is going round the Country marketing himself to the delegates of his Party the PDP, and to Nigerians. I have seen the former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, who like Peter Obi, he is selling himself to the delegates of his Party the PDP, and to Nigerians. I wish them well. The catch for me, is that they consider the race serious business, and they are giving it their best. You are free to disagree with me, if you do, please enrich the national debate by doing a rejoinder. What is important to me, is that we find and elect the best for Nigeria come 2023".

"There is also the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. He is a huge contender, he brings to bear 7years of active experience as the second in command to the incumbent. He shall hit the ground running if elected President. But I have a problem with the way he is going about it. He comes across as an unwilling horse. He was begged, cajoled, threatened and coerced by his supporters to throw his hat in the ring. And Nigeria is in no deal for another unwilling horse. Nigeria is in dire need of a President who considers the job the fulfillment of purpose and the essence of his/her humanity. Sadly the image that the strategists of the Osinbajo movement have created is that Osinbajo was begged to enter the race, and some are running the same foul and soured script with the former President Goodluck Jonathan, they are at it with the serving Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Dr. Emefiele, and they are also playing the same atavistic script with Dr Akinwunni Adesina of the African Development Bank, and this is not what 21st century Nigeria is about. No. Nigeria is in need of leaders who consider the job of the President an unalterable commitment to purpose, faith and destiny".

"One Aspirant comes in as possessed by purpose, driven by passion, challenged by a generational cross, poised to bear the weight of a nation in great need of redemption, and committed to birth and berth the nation of our dreams. This Aspirant that God willing will become the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC is Governor Yahaya Bello GYB. He is presently the youngest serving Governor in Nigeria. He is the best performing Governor in the areas of Security, Education, Agriculture, Fiscal Discipline and Financial Responsibility, and he has the highest youth inclusiveness, and gender parity in government. He is the Governor of Kogi State. And he is running the race believing that everything worthy and worthwhile must be done to reset, re-fix, reshape, rework and reposition Nigeria for greatness".

"He is talking with the delegates of his Party, the All Progressive Congress, he is engaging with Nigerians in a way never before seen, he is preaching justice, equity and national cohesion centred on deploying the inherent capacity, competency and capabilities of the average Nigerian for progress and growth. He is beyond the bias of religion and region little wonder he has the largest number of support groups indiscriminate of tribe, ethnicity, region or religion. He is not just a contender, he is the candidate that believes that the restoration of Nigeria is his unalterable commitment. He believes that Nigeria deserves the best, and he is ready, willing and able to give Nigeria the desired leadership that must unlock the great potentials of our nation and people".

"HOPE 2023 is the mantra, Bridging the Gap is the theme, and the purpose is to berth a nation where Peace and Justice shall reign. And GYB is not ignorant of the enormous challenge, he is confident that together with the masses of our people, a New, Prosperous, Safe and Boisterous Nigeria is possible. God Bless Nigeria".

Nairaland / General / 2023: APC, PDP Nomination Forms Fees, Invitation For Corruption – David Anyaele by Abel7777: 7:00pm On Apr 28, 2022
A disability inclusion activist, David Anyaele, has faulted the All Progressive Congress and the Peoples Democratic party on the prices they placed for the purchase of nomination and interest forms ahead of the 2023 election.

The presidential nomination forms are sold for N100m and N40m for APC and PDP respectively.

In a telephone chat with our correspondent on Thursday, Anyaele noted that placing such prices on the forms is an invitation for corruption, as elected officers may be forced to “steal” to recover the money after they get into office.

“This amount being placed for getting nomination form is an invitation for corruption. Anybody who has the capacity to mobilise such money should equally develop greater capacity to steal in multiple folds to recover the money,” Anyaele said.

“It makes a mockery of the fight against corruption,” he added.

Speaking on the effect of the prices on people with disabilities who may have the intention to contest political offices, Anyaele added, “It is a closed system for people with disabilities in Nigeria. Many people with disabilities wish to participate in the electoral process and will want to do that based on their goodwill and their capacity to provide leadership fr their respective parties.

“Asking them to cough out any of these amounts be it N50m for governorship or N20million for senatorial seat, or N10m for House of Representatives seat shouldn’t be considered.”

Anyaele further noted that every Nigerian has the right to participate in any democratic process and such prices for forms may discourage them.

“It is the right of every Nigerian to participate in any democratic process, which should be free, fair, and without ambiguity and restriction. Placing the party nomination form at this N100m for APC and N40m for PDP is an indirect way of saying that people without deep pockets are not invited to participate in the electoral process,” the activist said.

He also likened the electoral process to an auction sale saying, “They’ve placed Nigeria for sale. It is the highest bidder that will rule.”

Politics / N100m For Nomination Form Too Small Compared To Those Who Paid Supreme Price-gyb by Abel7777: 3:14pm On Apr 27, 2022
Kogi State governor and one of the top contenders for the 2023 presidential race under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Yahaya Bello, has said the N100 million pegged by the party as the fee for a presidential nomination ticket is too small compared to those Nigerians who paid the supreme price to keep the country united.

This was even as governor Bello boasted that he used his personal money to buy the nomination form, stressing that he cannot pretend about it because he was into private business before he became governor.

In a statement through Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr. the
Convener CountryFirst and National Coordinator Got Your Back Nigeria, said Governor Bello, “will give his all for Nigeria because no amount is too much for the Nigeria of our dreams”.

Part of the statement reads: “There has been a massive hoopla in the public space about the N100 million fixed by our great Party the All Progressive Congress APC as cost for the Presidential Nomination Form.

“To GYB, no amount is too much for the Nigeria of our dreams. To GYB, the Redemption Of Nigeria is worth every legitimate price. And GYB is ready, willing and able to give his all to birth a great, prosperous and boisterous Nigeria”.

“Need I also say that 100 million naira cannot print enough campaign posters to cover one of the six geopolitical zones of the Country. The entire political process is extremely expensive, it, therefore, is important is to ensure compliance with the rules on margin and limit on electoral campaign funding. That is the way to go, and not so much of the emotional and emotive outbursts on the monies fixed by the Parties for the purchase of forms.”

“That said, to all those studying the politics of 2023 and the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to the redemption we seek as a nation, the moment is here and the hour is upon us. The essential GYB having paid the 100m for the Presidential Nomination Form of our great Party the All Progressive Congress APC, has clearly said that no price is too much for the Nigeria we crave. GYB is the champion of our collective resolve to birth a new, prosperous and viable Nigeria. And GYB has in so many ways insisted that the redemption of our Dear Country is his unalterable commitment and passion.”

“The train has left the station Compatriots, we are en route to Aso Rock. We are unperturbed by the darts of beer parlour talebearers who swear about falsehoods they consider facts. They claim to know Kogi and GYB more than they know their immediate neighbourhood.”

“They claim to know the salaries of all the workers in Kogi and know when last a dime was paid. They say the best performing Governor in the area of Security, Education and Agriculture isn’t doing well. And they claim that the best Governor in the area of Fiscal Discipline and Financial Responsibility is corrupt, how more cynical and wicked can they be? But we are not deterred, for in the very end good shall prevail over evil.”

“For those who yet wonder where and how the essential GYB got the 100m naira and has become the first of the many Aspirants in the APC to purchase the Presidential Nomination Form. It might interest you to know that before GYB became the Governor of Kogi State, he was a Billionaire several times over. It might interest you to know that his transport and haulage service was one of the best in the entire North Central before he became Governor.

It might also interest you to know that he is an international businessman with businesses in Asia, Europe and across. He is therefore not one of those that have lied to Nigerians about certain individuals paying for or buying forms for them. No, GYB hasn’t and won’t descend that low”.

“Countrymen and women now is the time to make real the promises of democracy, and now is the time to rework, reshape and reset Nigeria for greatness. Together with GYB, we can.

“However, typical of everything Nigerian the many discussants and ideologues have left unattended the reason the Party put such a huge amount as the cost for Presidential Nomination Form. But does the Party not have the right to prune down the number of contestants/Aspirants? Does the Party not have the right to manage what would become a tortuous Presidential Primaries by reducing the number of Aspirants the way it deems best?”

“Can the Aspirants who consider themselves popular enough not approach their supporters to help raise and reach the funds needed for the Presidential Nomination Form? Well, even more, instructive is the fact that Governor Yahaya Bello GYB moved by the empathy, support and passion for the young people, impressed the need for the Party to fix a 50% rebate for Aspirants up to 40 years and below”.

“That is the spirit and the heart of the leader called GYB. He doesn’t mind the difference so long as Youths are carried along. And do not be taken by the hoopla, there are young people whose car garages boast of automobiles far in excess of hundreds of millions of naira and they are not thieves or corrupt politicians themselves. So do less of the bandwagon analysis, and interrogate the political process dispassionately.”

Nairaland / General / The Redemption Of Nigeria Is Worth Every Legitimate Price - GYB by Abel7777: 11:40am On Apr 27, 2022
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr.
Convener COUNTRYFIRST MOVEMENT and National Coordinator GOT YOUR BACK NIGERIA, said Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state will give his all for Nigeria.

Nwaokobia stated this in a press statement on Wednesday saying To Governor Yahaya Bello, no amount is too much for the Nigeria of our dreams.

Part of the statement reads: "There has been a massive hoopla in the public space about the 100million fixed by our great Party the All Progressive Congress APC as cost for the Presidential Nomination Form".

"Typical of everything Nigerian the many discussants and ideologues have left unattended the reason the Party put such a huge amount as the cost for Presidential normination form. But does the Party not have the right to prune down the number of contestants/Aspirants? Does the Party not have the right to manage what would become a tortuous Presidential Primaries by reducing the number of Aspirants the way it deems best?"

"Can the Aspirants who consider themselves popular enough not approach their supporters to help raise and reach the funds needed for the Presidential Nomination Form? Well, even more instructive is the fact that Governor Yahaya Bello GYB moved by the empathy, support and passion for the young people, impressed the need for the Party to fix a 50% rebate for Aspirants 40years and below".

"That is the spirit and the heart of the leader called GYB. He doesn't mind the difference so long as Youths are carried along. And do not be taken by the hoopla, there are young people whose car garages boast of automobiles far in excess of hundreds of millions of naira and they are not thieves or corrupt politicians themselves. So do less of the bandwagon analysis, and interrogate the political process dispassionately."

"Need I also say that 100m naira cannot print enough campaign posters to cover one of the six geopolitical zones of the Country. The entire political process is extremely expensive, what therefore is important is to ensure compliance with the rules on margin and limit on electoral campaign funding. That is the way to go, and not so much of the emotional and emotive outbursts on the monies fixed by the Parties for the purchase of forms."

"That said, to all those studying the politics of 2023 and the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to the redemption we seek as a nation, the moment is here and the hour upon us. The essential GYB having paid the 100m for the Presidential Nomination Form of our great Party the All Progressive Congress APC, has clearly said that no price is too much for the Nigeria we crave. GYB is the champion of our collective resolve to birth and berth a new, prosperous and viable Nigeria. And GYB has in so many ways insisted that the redemption of our Dear Country is his unalterable commitment and passion."

"The train has left the station Compatriots, we are enroute Aso Rock. We are unperturbed by the darts of beer parlour tale bearers who swear about falsehoods they consider facts. They claim to know Kogi and GYB more than they know their immediate neighborhood."

"They claim to know the salaries of all the workers in Kogi and know when last a dime was paid. They say the best performing Governor in the area of Security, Education and Agriculture isn't doing well. And they claim that the best Governor in the area of Fiscal Discipline and Financial Responsibility is corrupt, how more synical and wicked can they be? "For those who yet wonder where and how the essential GYB got the 100m naira and has become the first of the many Aspirants in the APC to purchase the Presidential Nomination Form. "To GYB, no amount is too much for the Nigeria of our dreams. To GYB, the Redemption Of Nigeria is worth every legitimate price. And GYB is ready, willing and able to give his all to birth and berth a great, prosperous and boisterous Nigeria".

Countrymen and women, now is the time to make real the promises of democracy, and now is the time to rework, reshape and reset Nigeria for greatness. Together with GYB we can. Come join the HOPE 2023 vehicle, with GYB, WE MOVE!!

God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / 50M: Taraba Progressive Alliance To Purchase Governorship Form For Sen. Bwacha by Abel7777: 3:06pm On Apr 21, 2022
The Governorship ambition of Senator Emmanuel Bwacha received a boast on Thursday as a political support group named "Taraba Progressive Alliance" vowed to buy the governorship form for the distinguish senator.

The group which is a Coalition of Sons, Employees, families and well wishers both in and outside of Nigeria as well as political associates, has avail the sum of 50m Naira to purchase the governorship form for the Senator.

The group in a press statement signed by Hon. Abubakar Barde, said the act is to show appreciation to the Senator over his impact and style of leadership.

"The Senator deserved to get a free form from the association cause of his style of leadership and his heart to the ordinary man in Taraba state". the group said.

Recall that Senator Emmanuel Bwacha representing Taraba south was the senate minority deputy leader and had recently decamped from the PDP to the APC over the high-handedness of the state governor.

Governor Darius Ishaku is described by many of his aids who also recently decamped as a total failure and embarrassment to the entire people of Taraba State.

Politics / Gov Darius Allegedly Bribes Court Top Officer To Give Bwacha "Zamfara" Treatment by Abel7777: 7:38pm On Apr 20, 2022
Embattled Governor of Taraba state, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has allegedly reached out to a major court top officer in Jalingo to give Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the so called Zamfara treatment.

The move is coming on the heels of the deep confusion sorrouding the governorship race in Taraba state. While the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state seems to be in a disarray, Senator Bwacha who recently decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC) is said to be on a winning streak.

A source said worried by the development, a rattled Governor Darius paid huge sums of money to a high ranking judicial officer (name with held) to proceed with a legal process that could declare Senator Bwacha seat vacant, essentially sacking him from the National Assembly.

The source added that the same high profile judicial leader had previously given an unfavorable judgement in a matter of the APC executive after heavy monetary inducement by the governor.

An Appeal Court has since quashed the judgement, calling for a stay of execution on the matter.

It would be recalled that similar cases have been brought on decamping politicians around the country without much success. The most celebrated was that of Governor Umahi of Ebonyi state who was sacked by the court but won at the appellate courts.

The source said a heavy worded petition to the Nigerian Judicial Council (NJC) would soon be written on the conduct of the said judicial top brass who is said to be a lackey of the governor.

Politics / APC Presidential Primary: GYB Is A Candidate That Fits The Time And Season by Abel7777: 3:12pm On Apr 18, 2022
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, the Convener COUNTRY FIRST MOVEMENT, a leadership and mentorship instructor, and a member of the APC has called on party delegates to present the best person to lead the Party's run for the high office of President come 2023.

Nwaokobia, in a press statement titled "A Treatise To The Delegates Who Will Elect The APC Presidential Candidate" said delegates must not assume that all is going to be well and must not arrogantly believe that 2023 election will be tha same as 2015 and 2019 and so must therefore passionately and truthfully present a candidate that fits the time and season.

Nwaokobia went further to list 10 points why Governor Yahaya Bello candidacy should be consider by the party delegates.

The statement reads: "Dear Delegates to the forthcoming Presidential Primaries of the APC, the moment is here, and the hour of reckoning is close. We cannot in the name of politics ignore the urgency of now. We cannot assume that all is well. And we must not arrogantly believe that 2023 will be the same as 2015 and 2019. We shall not have PMB and his famous 12m guaranteed votes on the card because he will be rounding up his statutory two terms. We must therefore dispassionately and truthfully navigate the waters and present to Nigerians a candidate that fits the time and the season".

"As you contemplate the way forward for our Dear Party the All Progressive Congress APC, and debate the best person to lead our Party's run for the high office of President come 2023, may you liberally consider the 10 salient points I here present to you".

1. "Knowing that Nigerians are unanimous in the call for a new deal and a new tendency in governance. The challenge before you is to look youth-ward. In doing so you shall find Governor Yahaya Bello saying 'folks let's get the job of reworking and resetting Nigeria on course'. At 46years of age he is ready, willing and able to lead the challenge for the soul of Nigeria, and in so many fora he has said that the quest for a new, prosperous and great Nigeria is his unalterable commitment".

2. "Since Nigeria is presently saddled with monstrous national security challenge. The onus is on you to choose the one who has performed best in managing the Security of his State to succeed Mr President. And without an iota of doubt Governor Yahaya Bello GYB is the best performing Governor on Security. To GYB the primacy of lives and property is nonnegotiable, he has proven that in the State of Kogi, and he wants to replicate same in glowing dimensions at the centre. Your votes at the Primaries is all he needs to begin the journey to a better and more secured Nigeria".

3. "On infrastructure, one Governor stands out having repudiated the prevalent culture of fixing an Infrastructure and spending almost as much to commission same. That Governor has turned the hitherto lacklustre State capital of Lokoja into one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. As you Google check and verify this, think Governor Yahaya Bello GYB, and present him as our Party's Presidential Candidate, that way we can instill a morbid fear in the other Parties, and retain the Presidency come 2023. Not minding the little resources that accrue to Kogi State GYB has turned the State of Kogi around for good, and he wants to make Nigeria great again".

4. "Knowing that women and young people consists of over 70% of our voter demography, you have to present to Nigerians a candidate that resonates with women and young people, and GYB does. GYB has in glaring measures made Kogi State the State with the highest youth inclusiveness in governance, and the State with the highest gender parity in Nigeria, and arguably in the whole of Africa. You are also aware that GYB led our Party's membership drive to huge success by heading the Youth, Women And Person's With Disability Committee that fetched over 21million new members to our Dear Party. Let's unleash him as our Presidential flagbearer at the General Elections to retain the Presidency for the APC and for the good of Country come 2023".

5. "On food sufficiency, you are aware that having handled the Farmers/Herders conflict the best in the whole of the country, farmers and herders in Kogi State are cohabitating peacefully and plying their trade profitably. Nigeria needs a unifier and a bridge builder come 2023, and it behooves on you Dear delegates to present Nigeria with one. GYB is that bridge builder and unifier that can win the general elections for the APC and set Nigeria back on track as a world leader in food sufficiency".

6. "On Healthcare, do you know that GYB is increasingly making Kogi State a viable alternative to the prevalent culture of medical tourism that pervade the nation. Today, in Okenne in Kogi State stands one of the most outstanding medical facilities in the whole of West Africa. And there are many other topnotch medical facilities sprouting all over the State. Do you also know that in Kogi State medical and healthcare givers are paid as and when due? Presenting GYB to Nigerians as our Presidential flagbearer will not only be the right thing to do, it will be in the best interest of the Party, and the nation".

7. "In this era of periodic ASUU strikes and the closure of Universities in Nigeria, Nigerians are in search of a President who can fix the education sector. Do you know that not only are the Universities in Kogi State not on strike, GYB has built a new university The Confluence University which is also functional and strike free, GYB provides effectively for the day to day running of the schools for which they are never on strike. The APC needs a Presidential Candidate that can proudly present himself to the Nigerian people, students and lecturers alike as pro the massive repositioning of the Education sector for progress. GYB fits the bill".

8. "In today's Nigeria where Job Creation, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship is most needed, a GYB as the APC Presidential candidate will reverberate and resonate for good. Do you know that the Peace and Tranquility that GYB'S security scorecard has built in Kogi has made huge Private Sector investments in Kogi State possible? Do you know that the Kogi State government owned Confluence Rice built by GYB'S government employs over 5,000 people? Do you know that the Confluence Rice Mill is one of the best Rice Mills in today's Nigeria? Do you know that the many skill acquisition initiatives of the Kogi State government have created jobs for many otherwise unemployable youths? Dear Delegates putting GYB forward as the presidential candidate of our Dear Party will not only be a choice well made but a choice most prolific and profound".

9. "As the call for financial and Fiscal Discipline cum better anti-corruption regime grows, Nigerians will judge the candidates by their scorecards. And very evidently of the many Aspirants only GYB can present proven record of fiscal and financial discipline. Do you know that not only does Kogi State have the World Bank validation and commendation as the State with the highest compliance with Fiscal Discipline and Financial Responsibility, Kogi State was the only State to return over 4.3million Dollars unspent Erosion control funds to the World Bank? Do you also know that the spurious suit about a certain 20billion Fixed Deposit account bandied by the EFCC against Kogi State have since been withdrawn with apologies? GYB is the exemplary leader that fits the present reality, his choice as the Presidential Candidate of the APC will be one well made".

10. "The call for a courageous and broad-minded reformer is the sweltering harmattan of now. Nigerians are asking for a President that will put Country first. In GYB'S position on the COVID-19 pandemic was Country first. In his position on the Lockdown was Country first. In his position on END-SARS, ASUU Strike, Medical Tourism et al is Country first. GYB is the leader that you can trust and entrust with the Presidential Ticket of our great Party and be sure that the over 3,000 support groups already routing for his candidacy indiscriminate of creed or clan, region or religion will join hands with our Dear Party the APC in birthing and berthing a new, a better and a more prosperous Nigeria come 2023. With GYB we can't go wrong Folks, may we do right at the Presidential Primaries in May". He prayed God to grant the delegates wisdom to act and do right.
"And may your choice reverberate and resonate with the urgency of now. God Bless Nigeria". He said

Politics / Hope 2023: GYB Committed To Creating A Federalism That Works -Prof Nwaokobia Jnr by Abel7777: 1:29pm On Apr 09, 2022
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr
at the Second GYB Seminar For Nigeria's Political And Crime Correspondents Said Yahaya Bello Campaign Organization is committed to making real the promises of democracy

Nwaokobia Jnr quoted Frantz Fanon saying "Every generation out of relative obscurity discovers its mission, fulfills it or betrays it."

Nwaokobia Said Three decades ago there was a movement that shook all known socio-political foundation in our nation's historicity.

Part of the statement reads "It was a watershed. It was captioned HOPE '93. It was a movement and a moment. It had Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola MKO as the visioner, the driver and the candidate. It was a Muslim/Muslim ticket with Babagana Kingibe as running mate, indiscriminate of creed or clan. And they won the election that was highly adjudged the freest and the fairest in the annals of our nation".

"Today that HOPE resonates in the person of Governor Yahaya Bello GYB, the resurgence of the HOPE mantra is instructive in so many ways. In 1993 it was about FAREWELL TO HUNGER AND POVERTY. Unfortunately 30years after, the issues remain. Sadly it is still about hunger, poverty, job creation, infrastructural development, security, energy and power, resource control, devolution of power, true fiscal federalism and the diversification of our economy. A score years and ten after, Nigerians crave the rebirth of HOPE, and that is why we are here today".

"The Yahaya Bello Campaign Organization is committed to making real the promises of democracy , which must translate simply into better life for the masses of our people. HOPE 2023 holds great promise for a nation in dire need of new values and tendencies in governance. Hope 2023 is about politics and business unusual. Hope 2023 is about youth inclusiveness and gender parity. Hope 2023 is about improved national security and brotherhood. Hope 2023 is about improved infrastructure, healthcare, job creation and improved energy. Hope 2023 is about the overhaul and the rework of our educational sector and the curriculum. And hope 2023 is about creating the enabling environment for a 21st century compliant Agricultural sector. Indeed Hope 2023 is about a ballot based peoples revolution for the good of our Dear Nation, Nigeria".

"Hope 2023 is a clarion call to our nation to wake up, to rise up and to work along with Governor Yahaya Bello as we birth and berth the Country of our dreams. Hope 2023 is a commitment to new thinking in leadership. Hope 2023 is GYB's unalterable commitment and passion for a new, prosperous and successful Nigeria".

"With Hope 2023 are the profound pluses highlighted above and more, but I must add the following".

"In today's Nigeria the greatest challenge is one of security of lives and property. Having done profound in this sector, the Hope 2023 vision of GYB holds dear the primacy of lives and property, and GYB is committed to being true to what he says on paper. Compatriots, with Hope 2023 we shall have a safer Nigeria".

"Hope 2023 holds a new deal for the Education sector. The urgent need for the rework of our educational curriculum is dear to GYB. As vocational and technical training is at the core of the new deal".

"The Hope 2023 deal is about food sufficiency and improved Agriculture. The need for a technology driven Agricultural sector, and for Farm Settlements cannot be overemphasized. And GYB shall encourage ranching for effective livestock yield".

"Improved Healthcare is at the heart of Hope 2023. The need to revamp our health care system, to improve our Teaching Hospitals and incorporate alternative medicine in the health care sector is dear to GYB".

"With Hope 2023 we shall be bidding farewell to epileptic power supply. GYB is committed to doing anything and everything necessary to improve the energy sector. He is passionate about seeing that new players emerge in the energy sector who will use not only hydro but coal, wind, waste and solar in the generation of power".

"The Hope 2023 vision of GYB is committed to creating a Federalism that works. The call for resource control and devolution of power shall be addressed under GYB's watch by the Nigerian people, and together we must create a federalism that works'.

"The Hope 2023 vision for Sports and Youth Development is profound. We shall engage our young people in sporting activities and shall rebuild school sports whilst creating the enabling environment for the business of sports to thrive. GYB will not only revolutionize the Sports sector to create jobs but will use the sector to successfully engage the otherwise idle".

"With the Hope 2023 vision of GYB is the commitment for massive Infrastructural development, not only shall we judiciously spend resources meant for Infrastructural development, we shall deepen on Private and Public sector partnership for Infrastructural development. And GYB shall explore viable Build Operate And Transfer BOT initiatives in the Infrastructural sector".

"Hope 2023 like Hope 1993 is about the abolition of POVERTY. We shall create jobs through robust engagement with the Private Sector. And shall make human capital development a matter of primacy. The GYB Hope 2023 mantra is not just another political promise, but a commitment to a new deal for the masses of our people. In Hope 2023 ladies and gentlemen is Country first, in Hope 2023 is Nigeria first, and in Hope 2023 is a new and a boisterous deal for all Nigerians indiscriminate of Region or Religion".

Politics / Road To 2023: Yahaya Bello Capable Of Wearing Political Shoes Of MKO Abiola by Abel7777: 8:30pm On Apr 07, 2022
A Leadership and Mentorship Instructor, Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, has said that the All Progressive Congress (APC) 2023 presidential Aspirant, Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) of Kogi State is capable of wearing political shoes of late politician and business Mogul, Chief MKO Abiola.

To this end, Prof. Nwaokobia Jnr, applauded Hafsat Abiola daughter of MKO Abiola for describing and comparing GYB Hope movement with that of her father of blessed memory.

Prof. Nwaokobia in a press statement made available to Reporters said Hafsat is always known to be Brave, courageous, intelligent and outspoken.

He said Hafsat and her siblings bear the gravest and the greatest scars of the June 12 struggle and as such understands her Fathers struggle and can not be rubbished by anyone over her support for Governor Yahaya Bello.
Part of the statement reads; “The Hafsat that I know, is never given to playing the lackey to any opportunistic grabber and never a rabble rouser. So to those who have ears, let them hear.

“And I must add that we know Hafsat Abiola-Costello, we know her pedigree, we know her passion, we know her fight, we know her persuasions and we know her doggedness, so we aren’t going to let no nonstarter rubbish her”.

“She knows her onion and she is worth every pint and pinch of her salt. She knows the Abiola phenomenon, she knew her Father, she was orphaned by the Struggle having lost her mother, Kudirat Abiola first to the Abacha infamy, and her father MKO Abiola later on. She and her siblings bear the gravest and the greatest scars of the June 12 struggle, and she insists that the dream for which she lost her both parents will not die. She is almost 5 decades old, she is clearheaded and sagacious, so may the dart throwers do some introspection and soul searching”.

“She could not have compared GYB with MKO for nothing, she has her facts, and they are beyond beer parlour tales and inveigle.

Her both parents were martyrs for democracy, and she insists that their martyrdom will not be in vain, that HOPE must resonate yet again, and that with GYB Nigeria is on the march again. Remember that famous HOPE 93 campaign song? If you know, you know”.

“If you do not know GYB then you perhaps did not know the one that came before him, MKO was 56 years old when he sought the high office of President with the mantra Hope ’93. GYB is a decade younger, at 46 GYB has launched his movement to Aso Rock seeking the high office of President with the mantra Hope 2023 Bridging The Gap. Yes 56, and 46”.
“MKO was a Chartered Accountant and a Business Mogul. GYB is a Chartered Accountant and a Business Mogul. MKO was one of the lead financiers of the defunct NPN which was the Party at the centre in the second Republic. And GYB is one of the lead financiers and the Shield of the Party at the centre the APC, here the word ‘shield’ is not mine but that of the Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan. He called GYB the shield of the APC.

“MKO was a great philanthropist and a lover of humankind. He was the Pillar of Sports in Africa. And a motivation to the teaming Nigerian Youths. GYB is a philanthropist and a leader with a heart of gold. He is a formidable sports lover and supporter of Sports in Nigeria. His person and ambition has attracted the highest support of sportsmen and women in Nigeria and that is instructive. And Kogi State within the past two years have hosted more Nigerian Sporting greats than any other state in Nigeria.

Need I also state here that GYB runs the highest youth inclusive government in today’s Nigeria. Like MKO would have done, GYB is doing.

“MKO had a thing for women and indeed the womenfolk and so does GYB. Apart from both of them having married more than two wives, they both believe in the competency of the female homo sapiens.

They give responsibility to women and they believe completely in their competency and capacity. MKO entrusted his wives with the management of some of his businesses, so has GYB done. And even more remarkable is the fact that Governor Yahaya Bello GYB runs the government with the most gender parity in Nigeria. GYB has empowered more women than any Governor or government in today’s Nigeria.

“MKO was brave, dogged and sagacious and so is GYB. MKO pioneered and deepened the call for reparation (that the West must not only return the wealth stolen from Africa but atone materially for the ills of Slavery), and GYB has consistently argued for Africa to look inwards, remember his position on the COVID-19 pandemic and allied issues. MKO was a nonconformist and so is GYB.

“In their politics they were/are both men of means who supported their political parties, who seeing the drift in the polity if you like, chose to step in the fray by contesting for elective office. MKO pioneered the HOPE mantra in 1992/1993 and in 2022/2023 it is the resurgence of HOPE and the HOPE mantra by GYB.

“MKO suffered and paid the supreme price for believing that a new Nigeria is possible. He fought for the mandate given to him on June 12, 1993 and was not willing to settle for less.

GYB is fighting the battle and regardless of the beer parlour tales of naysayers and critics, he is saying that the great strides and achievements in Kogi State will speak for him. He is saying that his achievements in Security, Agriculture, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Financial and Fiscal Discipline, Job Creation etc will speak for him. And that the Youths and Women will not overlook the most gender and youth friendly candidate when we go to the polls. And God willing the HOPE will not die this time around.

“Hafsat Abiola-Costello was not only correct, she was conservative in her comparison of the two larger than life phenomenon who are better known by their initials, MKO and GYB.

Hafsat Abiola-Costello is eminently qualified to make her choices, like Hafsat, I Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr. a Lawyer and an Activist in Politics who fought with many others for the actualization of June 12 and the HOPE that MKO epitomized have since endorsed the GYB candidacy for the high office of President come 2023”.

Politics / Hafsat Was Right GYB Is Like MKO In So Many Ways - Prof Nwaokobia Jnr by Abel7777: 11:39am On Apr 05, 2022
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, A Leadership And Mentorship Instructor has applauded Hafsat Abiola daughter of MKO Abiola for describing and comparing GYB Hope movement with that of her father of blessed memory.

Nwaokobia In a press statement made available to press men said Hafsat is always known to be Brave, courageous, intelligent and outspoken.

He said Hafsat who was orphaned by the Struggle having lost her Mom Kudirat Abiola first to the Abacha infamy, and her Dad MKO Abiola later on. She and her siblings bear the gravest and the greatest scars of the June 12 struggle and as such understands her Fathers struggle and can not be rubbished by anyone over her support for Governor Yahaya Bello.

Part of the statement reads; "The Hafsat that I know, is never given to playing the lackey to any opportunistic grabber and never a rabble rouser. So to those who have ears, let them hear." - An Elder Statesman From the South West".

"I elected deliberately to open this intervention with the above quotable quote of a Seventy something years old intellectual from the South West State of Ondo. And I must add that we know Hafsat Abiola-Costello, we know her pedigree, we know her passion, we know her fight, we know her persuasions and we know her doggedness, so we aren't going to let no nonstarter rubbish her".

"She knows her onion and she is worth every pint and pinch of her salt. She knows the Abiola phenomenon, she knew her Father, she was orphaned by the Struggle having lost her Mom Kudirat Abiola first to the Abacha infamy, and her Dad MKO Abiola later on. She and her siblings bear the gravest and the greatest scars of the June 12 struggle, and she insists that the dream for which she lost her both parents will not die. She is almost 5 decades old, she is clearheaded and sagacious, so may the dart throwers do some introspection and soul searching".

"She could not have compared GYB with MKO for nothing, she has her facts, and they are beyond beer parlour tales and inveigle. Her both parents were martyrs for democracy, and she insists that their martyrdom will not be in vain, that HOPE must resonate yet again, and that with GYB Nigeria is on THE MARCH AGAIN. Remember that famous HOPE 93 campaign song? If you know, you know".

"If you do not know GYB then you perhaps did not know the one that came before him, MKO was 56years old when he sought the high office of President with the mantra Hope '93. GYB is a decade younger, at 46 GYB has launched his movement to Aso Rock seeking the high office of President with the mantra Hope 2023 Bridging The Gap. Yes 56, and 46".

"MKO was a Chartered Accountant and a Business Mogul. GYB is a Chartered Accountant and a Business Mogul. MKO was one of the lead financers of the defunct NPN which was the Party at the centre in the second Republic. And GYB is one of the lead financers and the Shield of the Party at the centre the APC, here the word 'shield' is not mine but that of the Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan. He called GYB the shield of the APC".

"MKO was a great philanthropist and a lover of humankind. Need I also state here that GYB runs the highest youth inclusive government in today's Nigeria. Like MKO would have done, GYB is doing".

"MKO had a thing for women and indeed the womenfolk and so does GYB. GYB has empowered more women than any Governor or government in today's Nigeria".

"MKO was brave, dogged and sagacious and so is GYB. MKO pioneered and deepened the call for reparation (that the West must not only return the wealth stolen from Africa but atone materially for the ills of Slavery), and GYB has consistently argued for Africa to look inwards, remember his position on the COVID-19 pandemic and allied issues. MKO was a nonconformist and so is GYB".

"In their politics they were/are both men of means who supported their political parties, who seeing the drift in the polity if you like, chose to step in the fray by contesting for elective office. MKO pioneered the HOPE mantra in 1992/1993 and in 2022/2023 it is the resurgence of HOPE and the HOPE mantra by GYB".

"MKO suffered and paid the supreme price for believing that a new Nigeria is possible. And God willing the HOPE will not die this time around".

"Hafsat Abiola-Costello was not only correct, she was conservative in her comparison of the two larger than life phenomenons who are better known by their initials, MKO and GYB. Hafsat Abiola-Costello is eminently qualified to make her choices, like Hafsat, I Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr. a Lawyer and an Activist in Politics who fought with many others for the actualization of June 12 and the HOPE that MKO epitomized have since endorsed the GYB candidacy for the high office of President come 2023".

Nwaokobia concluded by saying "It is HOPE 2023 Compatriots, come join the movement for a New, Prosperous And Viable Nigeria".

Nairaland / General / GYB Presidency: The Hope Nigerians Have Been Craving For – Group by Abel7777: 1:19pm On Apr 01, 2022
A political support group "Got Your Back Nigeria" has said the presidential declaration of Gov. Yahaya Bello which is scheduled for tomorrow is the Hope Nigerians have been craving for.

The National Co-ordinator of the group, Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, in a press statement made available to news men said 30 years ago it was a Muslim-Muslim tickets.

He said Zoning was not the issue nor was power sharing the debate. It was a Movement anchored by the colossus better known by the initials MKO.

Nwaokobia Jnr said it was a campaign popular in every respect and targeted at banishing hunger and making Nigeria great. It was an unusual person, a candidate like no other and a man of means beatified by his love, passion, benevolence and commitment to the common good.

He said It was HOPE epitomized by Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola MKO of blessed memory.

Part of the statement reads, "30years after, the stage is set and the benevolent spirits are at work yet again. On our hands is a 46years old uncommon phenomenon. He says no to zoning, power sharing and ethnic cum regional politics. He says that Nigeria deserves more than the 'turn by turn' normative. That we must like the one that came 3 decades earlier 'bid farewell to hunger and poverty'. He says that the HOPE that faltered in June 12 is yet alive and realizable. And like MKO he is better known by the initials GYB".

"In a matter of hours the Eagle Square in Abuja shall host a Declaration of Interest to run for the High office of President in a manner never before seen. Governor Yahaya Bello GYB shall be telling Nigerians at home, those in the diaspora and the entire human pilgrimage about the HOPE that must be made REAL. He is declaring his unalterable commitment and interest in the 2023 Presidential election. He wants to be the President of Nigeria come 2023, and he means business".

"HOPE 2023 is a movement of Nigerians Young and Old, it boasts of great thinkers and ideologues, women and men of immense passion and faith in Nigeria, and has the DG of the HOPE 93 MKO campaign Senator Jonathan Zwingina as one of the Leaders, Hafsat Abiola-Costello the late MKO Abiola's daughter as one of the leaders, and many reputable statesmen and women as the drivers. It is a New Dawn of great HOPE before us, this time anchored by the phenomenal GYB".

"With GYB we shall be building a nation beyond politics. We shall banish hunger and poverty. We shall cremate the politics of creed and clan, and water those of competency and capacity. With GYB it will be a new day of brotherhood and inclusiveness centred on equity, fairness and justice. With GYB government shall raise the margins beyond region and religion, and commit completely to the common good. And with GYB it will never ever again be business as usual. Indeed it will be governance and business unusual".

"HOPE 2023 is a broad movement of Nigerians committed to repositioning our dear Country for greatness and GYB is the face of the NEW DEAL".

"The 2nd of April, 2022 is the moment, the day is here, the Train has left the station enroute the Rock called Aso, and the HOPE of and for a NEW, PROSPEROUS AND GLORIOUS NIGERIA is on course, Countrymen and women, together with GYB it will be A NEW DAY and A NEW DAWN for all. Hope Beckons". He said.

Politics / BREAKING: PDP Planning Another #endsars Protest – Lai Mohammed by Abel7777: 2:59pm On Mar 28, 2022
The Federal Government has accused the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of plans to sabotage the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and overheat the polity.

It claimed that the opposition was trying to trigger another EndSARS protest in the country.

It also faulted attempt by the opposition to declare the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) illegal.

It queried why the opposition cannot wait till 2023 poll to test its popularity.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed, who raised the alarm at a briefing in Abuja, asked the opposition not to promote anarchy.

Mohammed said: “As you know, the folks on the other side have been doing everything in recent times to overheat the polity, distort the achievements of our Administration and spread misinformation.

” Yes, it is very cold out there for the hungry and desperate opposition, but every indication is that they don’t even want to wait for the 2023 elections before testing their popularity or acceptability at the polls.

” How else does one explain their court case seeking the declaration of our convention as illegal? How do you explain their threat of another EndSARS that pushed Nigerians to the brink? How do you explain their glaring misinformation regarding the nation’s state of affairs?

“Gentlemen, there is nothing wrong in having a fiery and viable opposition in a democracy. We were there before and we remain the ones to beat in terms of determined, viable and relentless opposition. But, in our time, not once did we advocate the destruction of Nigeria just because we couldn’t have our way.

“Not once did we seek to gain power via a desperate court action. If you destroy the country you are seeking to govern, what country will you govern? Must you cut your nose to spite your face?

” In their most recent act of desperation, they sought to erase seven years of unprecedented achievements by the Buhari Administration. In the most egregious show of shamelessness and a blatant refusal to be remorseful, they even had the audacity to express righteous indignation that the damage they inflicted on the country in their 16 years of misrule has not been totally undone in just seven years.

“In other words, those who brought the country to its knees are now accusing those working hard to repair things of non-performance. They said they are ready to rescue Nigeria. Pray, where do kidnappers rescue their victims? These same guys who kidnapped the fortunes of their country are suddenly posing as rescuers. Caveat Emptor. Buyers beware! Nigerians Beware!”

“We are not under any illusion that they will stop their misrepresentation.

“No, because in their desperation to return to complete their demolition work on Nigeria, these folks will stop at nothing to paint us bad.

“But the good news is that Nigerians remain traumatized by their 16-year misrule, and will not return to ‘Egypt’ by allowing the ‘demolition gang’ back to office. In the meantime, let them present their 16-year stewardship in all the areas we have listed above and let Nigerians judge!” . He said

Politics / Now That The Convention Is Here -governor Yahaya Bello by Abel7777: 8:50am On Mar 26, 2022
Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the executive governor of Kogi State has said the many wistful prognosis about how the All Progressive Congress APC will not hold its National Convention today or anytime soon have been flawed and foiled by the determination of the Party led by Mr President Mohammadu Buhari to put things right and making the Party stronger than ever.

This was made known through the National Co-ordinator of a political Support group "Got Your Back Nigeria, Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, in a press statement made available to news men.

Part of the statement reads: "Today is the day. At the Eagles Square this 26th Day of March, 2022 the members of our Party, the most populous Party in Africa shall congregate to elect our National Officers at the National Convention of our great Party. As our members arrive Abuja from across the nation, I cannot but appreciate the doggedness and the commitment of the APC to resolve all seeming conflicts and contradictions in the quest to forge a great brotherhood for the purposes of making our Party stronger, more united and ready to win all future elections, including the 2023 Presidential election. I salute you".

"From the moment Mr President graciously assigned to me through our outgoing Acting National Chairman Governor Mai Mala Buni the duty to coordinate Youths, Women and Persons' with Disability in a massive effort to reorganize, reposition and repopulate the Party, I set to work with monstrous passion and commitment, and today that membership drive has made our Party the largest Party in Africa".

"Our Party the APC has the largest number of Youths, Women and Persons' with Disability thanks to the confidence reposed on me by the Party and by Mr President. And thanks to all the leaders of our Party and my fellow Governors who contributed immensely in the massively successful membership drive of our great Party. I can't thank you enough".

"Now that our Convention is here, we must dedicate ourselves to the challenge of electing Officers who will not only unite and reinvigorate our Party, but men and women who are committed to positioning the All Progressive Congress APC for great victories in future elections beginning with the forthcoming EKITI State and OSUN State Governorship elections".

"Now that the Convention is here, we must crave the kindred spirit of our members as we journey forward. We must give our best to every truly progressive effort of the Party. We must challenge for the soul of the Party. We must make the name of the Party truly right and far-reaching. And as Progressives we must rededicate the Party to the values for which Nigerians trusted us with victories at the centre in 2015 and 2019".

"Now that the Convention is here, we must put our best men and women forward as we begin the inevitable task of repositioning our Party for greatness. And God willing we shall not fail".

Nairaland / General / Gender Parity: Leaders Must Learn To Inspire The African Woman - CMN by Abel7777: 5:14pm On Mar 25, 2022
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr (CMN), a leadership and mentorship instructor has called on African Societies and Governments to deliberately integrate and include the woman in all and every strata and or layer of decision making in our nations.

Nwaokobia Jr, made the call while delivering a Speech as a guest in a special webinar organized by Goldridge Publishing with the theme “Millennial Women and the Future of Africa”.

He said leaders must inspire the African woman to aspire to reach her greatest potentials in a highly progressive world.

He also stressed the need to accept the fact that until we work hand in hand and side by side with the women our growth will be numb and short.

Part of the statement reads “It is my profound pleasure to be called upon to speak on a subject so dear to my heart and soul as a feminist. When I call myself a feminist people wonder what informs such predilection”.

“How can such a heavily bearded masculine homo sapien in a predominantly patriarchal world pride in feminism. But my faith in the woman and in the future of the womenfolk is unparalleled”.

“Who is the millennial woman and what is her place in the emergent Africa. Is she the highly opinionated young woman or the contemporary intellectual who believes in her competency and capacity. Is she the roadside young feminist at war with her male counterparts or the very erudite young woman that stands for what she believes. Or is she that great believer in the mental equality, competency and capacity of all humans. I dare to classify the millennial woman as one great specie cast in a highly restless and engaging generation of young people, a young class of erudite, intellectually sagacious, strong willed, visionary and a manifestly engaging generation with great faith in the equality, sagacity and competency of all homo sapiens”.

“Africa is a continent in dire quest for resurgence and renaissance if you like. The future of our dear continent will be profound when we empower her Young people particularly the women. Do not forget or undermine that pristine cliche and praxis that says that if you educate/train a man you have educated someone, but when you educate/train a woman you would have trained a society. We must therefore rise to the urgency of now, we must elect to not only educate the female child but build the requisite blocks that must block the age long biases against the African woman”.

“We must confront the bias that feeds on religion, culture, tradition and patriarchy. We must challenge the atavistic values that subjugate the girl child. We must resist the epistemology that restricts the ambition of the girl child. And we must broadly push the best of our women to the highest level”.

“Leadership across Africa, and leaders across different stratas of society be they political, business, religious, academic and ‘what have you’ must rise to the urgency of now. We must challenge our continent to put proper primacy on the education of the girl child, when we do that, Africa shall grow more Chimamanda Adichies, Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealas, Ellen Sirleaf Johnsons, Amina Mohammeds amongst others. And when we do so, we shall be bringing forward the joyous daybreak of massive gender parity and development in Africa”.

“As we celebrate the Woman in the month of my birth March, I perhaps think that my feminism is somewhat metaphysical, I also think that it is not a mere coincidence that males born in March are largely liberal and disposed to gender equality. But beyond the celebration of the International Women’s Day and the Month of March as the month when we celebrate our women, we must commit to empowering the girl child and our young people, for save and except that is done our search for a great Africa will amount to the wait for Godot”.

“We must push the narrative beyond the frontiers placed by religion, we must challenge African societies and Countries to borrow a leaf from Pakistan a predominantly Muslim country that at some point had a female Prime Minister, and from Saudi Arabia that has outlawed underaged marriage. African Societies must stop being more Catholic than the Pope and or being more Muslim than Prophet Mohammed peace be unto him. We must rise up against child marriage and bring down the biases that consign our women to the Kitchen and or ‘the other room”.’

“Women must network, corporate and collaborate with fellow women, and in preaching gender parity do so with competency and capacity as the linchpin”.

Nwaokobia Jnr concluded his speech by challenging women in the words of a great sage, ‘if you can’t fly run, if you can’t run walk, if you can’t run crawl, but by all means keep moving’.

“Our women must therefore continue to build capacity and challenge for the soul of Africa for our collective good”, he said

Politics / My Vision Is To Berth A Nigeria That Works For All - Yahaya Bello by Abel7777: 6:35am On Mar 23, 2022
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has said his vision is to berth a Nigeria that works for all come 2023.

Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, national co-ordinator "Got Your Back Nigeria" revealed this in a press statement made available to news men.

Nwaokobia Jnr, said the caption of this statement was one of the many quotable quotes that Governor Yahaya Bello GYB left him with after a three hours incisive engagement on the way forward for Nigeria, and the reason he wants to be President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.

Parts of the statement reads; "Indeed that intellectual exchange ranged from issues pertaining insecurity (don't forget that GYB is practically the best performing Governor in Nigeria in the area of Security) to Agriculture (where he has also done profound). From Health Care to Education where his phenomenal feats are lucid. From Infrastructural Development to Human Capital Development where his expertise and commitment are halcyon, and across other sectors of importance".

"It is axiomatic to note that the Nigeria of the future must be one where leaders are held accountable, where the words deployed by aspiring leaders are critiqued and documented, where political operators are compelled to be true to what they say on paper, and where the citizens are determined to etch new margins on our corporate canvass. GYB in so many ways have said that when he is voted in as President come 2023 it will be business unusual. So Mote It Be".

"He has said that he will not rest until we beth a new and a prosperous Nigeria. He has made Kogi State a spectacle of harmony and progress, and he believes that Nigeria can prosper amazingly under his watch. Under him Lokoja has become one of the fastest growing cities in Africa, and under him the Kogi State produced Confluence Rice is one of the best in Nigeria".

"He has said that we must reset and reposition Nigeria for greatness. And this revolution is Youths and Women centric. GYB believes that to make Nigeria great again we must do things differently. He has in the State of Kogi empowered more Youths than any State in our nation's historicity. And he runs the most gender sensitive government in the continent. With GYB Nigeria must deploy the immense potentials of her Young People and Women for greatness. With GYB the new beckons".

"He has said that his vision is to berth a Nigeria that works for all indiscriminate of region, religion, ethnicity and geography. He has lived true to this commitment by forging a heavily polarized multi ethnic, multi religious and multi lingual Kogi State into a beautiful symphony of oneness and brotherhood. GYB though a Muslim was the first Governor to build a Chapel for Christians in the Government House since the creation of Kogi State. GYB is urbane, broad-minded and liberal".

"He has said that he will be the President that cares for all. GYB believes that Nigeria cannot come off the woods without a progressive synergy between the old and the young. He has therefore advocated in so many ways a leadership that mentors and guides. GYB is the grail bearer of the Youth O'clock fervency, and he has not only transversed the nation calling out young people to rise to the salvage, he has implored the old to support the effort of young people to birth and berth a new Nigeria for all. Yes GYB will be the President that cares for all".

"He has said that a new, prosperous and viable Nigeria is his unalterable commitment, and I believe him because in so many ways GYB has shown capacity and competency. He has reached out to Nigerians of all tendencies, and has called out the old and the young to rededicate themselves to the values of justice, brotherhood and love. He has brokered peace across the nation, and has continued to advocate for responsible and responsive conduct in leadership. GYB is the young man that is set, ready, willing and able to undertake the many challenges that trouble our nation, and he believes that 2023 is our date with destiny".

"His vision is the vision of every well meaning Nigerian, his ambition is to berth a nation that works, and his unalterable commitment is to make Nigeria great again".

Politics / Calling On FCS Commission To Ensure Equitable Recruitment Of Pwds Into The NCPWD by Abel7777: 2:42pm On Mar 22, 2022
As the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities ( NCPWD) continues to pursue an approval for the recruitment of staff for the Commission to enhance it's capacity and capabilities to discharge their mandate and mission, the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) is calling on the Executive Secretary of the Commission to collaborate with the Federal Civil Service Commission to ensure that every recruitment exercise is open, transparent and no qualified person with disability is schemed out of the opportunity on the grounds of disability.

Mr David Anyaele, Executive Director of CCD in a press release said this is imperative because applicants with disabilities are painfully discriminated by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDA) to the extent that citizens with disabilities have been picketing MDAs with a demand to offer them employment, as such an agency that focuses on disability matters must ensure that qualified persons with disabilities have a greater majority in the staffing of the Commission.

This is in addition to the loop sided composition of the staff of the commission in which out of about 61 staff of the Commission, 48 are persons without disabilities, 13 are persons with disabilities while others are majorly volunteers. This disability unfriendly composition of the staff of the Commission is unacceptable for an agency that is vested with the responsibilities for the education, health care, and the protection and promotion of the social, economic, civil rights of citizens with disabilities in Nigeria.

We are mindful of the endemic politics of recruitment in the public service in Nigeria, whereby politicians (Ministers, National Assembly members, Governors down to councillors) use their proximity to the ruling party to force the selection of their thugs and party loyalist to juicy positions. The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities should be free from recruitment of none professionals as the commission is a specialist government agency that requires competent staff to deliver on its mandate. These professionals are many within the disability community as such there is the need to look inward within the disability community first before recruitment of persons without disabilities into the Commission.

The Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) is calling on the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with Federal Civil Service Commission to apply appropriate policy, in particular, the Federal Character principle to ensure that no section of the country dominates the Commission. The existing one-sided disability-related appointments by the President should not be sustained in the recruitment of staff of the Commission. A situation whereby out of the four (SSA and SA on Disability Matters to the President, Chairman, and Executive Secretary of NCPWD) prominent appointments made by President Mohammadu Buhari so far, all of them are from the Northern part of the country.

The struggle that led to the passage of the National Disability Law and the establishment of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) was a collective action by all PWDs. Disability activists from all corners of Nigeria worked tirelessly to ensure an end to discrimination and other harmful practices. Therefore, where there is an opportunity, the Federal Government of Nigeria must ensure that no part of the country is left behind in the recruitment and appointment from the disability community.

CCD will continue to monitor trends in the polity to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities are protected against discrimination and other harmful practices.

Politics / 2023: GYB Is The Bridge Builder Fit For President - Group by Abel7777: 9:40am On Mar 21, 2022
"Every generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfills it, or betrays it." - Frantz Fanon.

In today's Nigeria only one Public Office Holder appears to wield unequalled spread of Love and Brotherhood across our geography, nay a charm akin to what we had in the 1992/1993 political contestation that produced the MKO ABIOLA phenomenon.

By Jove three decades after the 1993 phenomenon, the new beckons. The present phenomenon like the former is indiscriminate of ethnicity, region and religion. The present phenomenon is concerned about competency and capacity over zoning. The present phenomenon is the bastion of the Youth O'clock fervency, calling for a New Deal and a New Thinking. And the present phenomenon is the young man called Governor Yahaya Bello, GYB.

GYB is interested in job creation and in the abolition of poverty as was Chief MKO Abiola of blessed memory.

GYB stands for Inclusiveness and gender parity in governance. He is an example of responsible and responsive leadership. And clearly represents the collective aspiration of the Nigerian people for a nation where justice, equity, fairness and Inclusiveness is prime. He did it in the multi religious, multi lingual and multi ethnic State of Kogi which is arguably the strategic microcosm of Nigeria, and he can replicate same in the macrocosm come 2023.

In 2020 the Bridge Builder called GYB won The Sun Newspapers Apostle of Political Inclusiveness Award for his unrivaled commitment to gender parity, and for his bold inclusion and appointment of Young People to strategic leadership positions. With 43years as the average age of the Kogi State cabinet do you wonder why GYB is the grail bearer of the call of the Nigerian People for new values in leadership?

GYB is unarguably the Bridge between the Old and The Young. As 2023 approaches the very popular refrain Youth O'Clock which represents the trust of the moment and the urgency of now resonates because GYB has thrown his hat in the ring to lead the challenge for a new Nigeria come 2023. In GYB the Youths have found their own, they have elected to identify with their own, and they are ready, willing, and able to reset Nigeria for good.

The GYB phenomenon across the nation is the validation of the competency and the capacity of the Young Man who governs the Confluence State of Kogi. And Nigerians old and young are enamoured by the GYB magic. Do you know that in Kogi State, GYB has a cabinet that includes Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Kanuri et al. And do you know that since the creation of Kogi State, GYB though a Muslim in furtherance of the right and the freedom of worship built a Chapel for Christians to worship in the Government House like their Muslim counterparts? GYB is that broad thinking and urbane Bridge Builder that Nigeria needs come 2023.

Need I emphasize the fact that GYB is the best Governor in Nigeria in the area of Gender Equality and Youth Inclusiveness as recognized by a huge platform like the United Nations (UN Women).

Need I state that GYB has made Kogi State the safest State in the North and the second safest State in Nigeria? GYB is that consumate Chief Security Officer of his State who believes in the primacy of lives and property. GYB is competency and capacity combined.

Need I tell you that GYB has made Lokoja the capital city of the Confluence State of Kogi one of the fastest growing cities in Africa.

Need I tell you that Kogi State under GYB is not owing workers, and that Kogi State leads the pack in the record of States that pay Medical and Health Workers as at when due.

Need I tell you that Kogi State under GYB boasts of one of the most functional Rice Mills in Nigeria. The CONFLUENCE RICE mill with a Yoruba, Mr Segun Olonade as MD/CEO with over 5000 workers directly employed by it, and that Confluence Rice has thousands of Rice Farmers across the nation as Suppliers.

Need I tell you that the Kogi State Agricultural Revolution scheme is second to none. And this reminds every student of history of the FAREWELL TO POVERTY AND NO TO HUNGER trust of the MKO Abiola 1993 phenomenon. 30years (3 decades) after the GYB Phenomenon is with us, and 2023 shall witness a massive turn around for good. GYB has done it in Kogi and he will do at the centre.

Need I tell you that Kogi State has one of the best Skill Acquisition and informal education programmatic which is key to creating jobs and making the seemingly unemployable employable.

Need I tell you that with the Kogi State share of the COVID-19 Palliative funds, GYB is 80% done building one of the biggest health facility in West Africa in Kogi State, and that no other Governor presently serving has achieved such feat.

Need I tell you that the Bridge Builder and the unifier called GYB was Chief to the truce that ended the food blockade between the North and the South in February 2021.

Need I tell you that also in 2021 along with the Governors of the South West he was key to quelling the fulminating Fulani/Yoruba tiff in Oyo, Osun and Ondo States.

Need I tell you that GYB is constantly reaching out to the leaders of the disparate ethnicities that people Nigeria, and that more than anything else underscores the wide support that attends his quest for the high office of President come 2023.

Need I tell you that the deluge of awards and honours that attend the GYB Phenomenon, and that the endorsements he garners across the nation are evidence of the acceptability and the credibility of the GYB brand. Without a modicum of doubt, I tell you Nigeria, that together with GYB we shall berth a new dawn for our nation.

Finally, do you wonder why Youths across the nation root for GYB. Do you wonder why groups across the 6 geopolitical zones are enthused by the GYB Phenomenon. And do you wonder why GYB resonates across societal stratification? The answer is simple, GYB is that consummate leader whose belief in exemplary leadership is Olympic. And GYB sees political power as the God given platform to advance the well-being of the people.

Compatriots, if by any means you still believe the falsehood of GYB detractors and naysayers, please do some research on the GYB Phenomenon, kogipedia, www.gybnigeria.com and other search engines will come in handy, and I assure you that the find will amaze you, for in GYB the Nigerian people have found a befitting President come 2023.

God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / 2023: Parties Must Commit To Fiscal Federalism NOT Zoning - Prof Nwaokobia Jnr by Abel7777: 1:41pm On Mar 16, 2022
Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, the National co-ordinator "Got Your Back Nigeria" has called on Those seeking to narrow down the political space through zoning to forget it.

Nwaokobia Jnr, in a press statement to press men, said there is no empirical proof that zoning or rotation of power advances unity and progress.

He said Nigerians are tired of the self-serving demagoguery of political operators seeking the high office of President come 2023 by scheming the alienation of other aspirants through zoning.

Part of the statement reads "The two leading Political Parties, the APC and the PDP must stop heating up the political space, and desist from fraudulently selling zoning as the way to justice, equity and fairness, indeed the only verifiable guarantees for national inclusion, equity, fairness and justice is true Fiscal Federalism, that way the component parts of the nation will have a true sense of belonging. Zoning as the way to justice is nothing but the perfidious gambit of power mongers and political operators".

"If there is any sincere call for Zoning, that call should be the call for Gender Equity in Governance. A woman has never been the President of Nigeria, so why isn't the elite calling for zoning of power to Women? Those calling for the zoning of the Presidency to one region or another come 2023 are only interested in a short cut to power, their interest is to narrow down the political space indiscriminate of the Constitutional provision that allows all eligible aspirants the right to pursue their legitimate ambition, and this subterfuge must stop".

"Since 1999 no Youth or persons under 50years have been President of Nigeria, why isn't the political elite calling for Power shift or zoning of power to the largest population demography in Nigeria, the Youths? Now is the time to strip naked the mendacious argument for zoning, we must shift the debate from the peripheral to the concrete, any Party that truly means well should forget the fallacious refrain called zoning and push for true Fiscal Federalism, that way our nation will have a true sense of inclusion and prosper".

"Who says that zoning will quieten the discord that pummels our polity? Did the two major Political Parties in 1999 not field a Yoruba Candidate from the South West? Did Obasanjo's 8years as President stop the agitation for Oodua Republic? Is the South West not asking for another shot at the Presidency in the name of zoning of power to the South come 2023? Who is deceiving who?".

"We must debunk the fallacy of the Ruling elite and tell them that not only is Zoning of the Presidency unconstitutional, it is self-serving, self-seeking and manifestly a perfidious ploy to grab power. We are therefore not buying the devious epistemology of the Zoning Committees of the APC and the PDP, not anymore".

"The Clock says it is time for competency and capacity, the moment says it is Youth O'Clock and the time says that 2023 politics must be dominated by worthy and worthwhile debate other than those of region and religion. The debates must devolve on how this nation can reach great heights through Fiscal Federalism and discipline, and how our politics must be predominantly issues based not zoning".

"I want to see a Woman or a Youth in the saddle. I want to see the most gender friendly political operator or office holder as President of Nigeria. I want to see competent young persons with capacity to govern emerge as Presidential candidates across the leading Political Parties, and I want to see one of them win the Presidency come 2023".

"I want to see vibrant issues oriented debate, not one centred on whose turn or to what region power must devolve. I want to see a Pan Nigerian candidate. And I want to see a Pan Nigerian President come 2023, such is the only permissible minimum".

"Nigeria is troubled on all sides by the failure of leadership, by the lack of competency and capacity in leadership, and by the absence of Justice, equity and fairness. The only credible panacea to the ills that trouble Nigeria, Gentlemen and women will undoubtedly be good governance centred on equity, fairness and justice, and not on the self-seeking sermonette called zoning".

"May we thumb down the fallacy that takes the solution to our problem away from empirical issues to banal ethnic and regional epistemology. And may we challenge all political operators to a new Creed, indeed one that makes competency and capacity the linchpin in our journey to 2023. God Bless Nigeria".

Politics / 2023: Zoning Cannot Stop Governor Yahaya Bello - Group by Abel7777: 12:09pm On Mar 11, 2022
A political Support group, “Got Your Back Nigeria” has said that zoning of the high office of President on account of region is not the way to justice; but good governance and commitment to service delivery is the way to go.

The group said there is no going back on governor Yahaya Bello readiness to run for the Presidential Ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023 elections even if the party’s zoning does not favour him, adding that, “There is no stopping the Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) Movement”.

The National Co-ordinator of the group Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, in a statement said Governor Bello will pursue his ambition to re-fix, reset and rework Nigeria.

Nwaokobia Jnr said Bello will continue to give leadership to the Party and indeed the Nigerian people, and he will together with the millions of Nigerian Youths pushing the Youth O’clock fervency, and the gender debate challenge for the soul of the country.

Parts of the statement reads; “Not a few Nigerians have troubled me with their concern about the purported zoning of the Presidential Ticket of the All Progressive Congress APC to the South, some have argued that since the slot of the National Chairman of the APC have been zoned allegedly to the North Central, ‘your man should forget the Presidency, because the Chairman of the Party and the President of the Country cannot come from the same zone’.

“The last time I checked the only thing a Party can legitimately do is to zone Party Offices, not Elective positions provided for by the Constitution. The PDP was careful enough to say that all they have zoned are Party Offices.

“There are those in the country and in my Dear Party the APC who are desperate to become President in 2023 and whose gambit is to shut the door against some candidates, zoning is their linchpin, but it won’t work. We are poised not only to debate them, but to show the resolve of Nigerians to break out of the banal margins of our politics to new highs where passion, competency, capacity, commitment, candour and composure are the only permissible minimums for governmental power cum political contestations.

“Parties are free if they like to zone Party Offices, but to zone out the ambition of persons otherwise protected and prescribed for, by and in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a no no. The APC must beware the Ides of March.

“Governor Yahaya Bello, the essential GYB will run for the Presidential Ticket of the All Progressive Congress APC, he will pursue his ambition to re-fix, reset and rework Nigeria. He will continue to give leadership to the Party and indeed the Nigerian people, and he will together with the millions of Nigerian Youths pushing the Youth O’clock fervency, and the gender debate challenge for the soul of our Dear Country. There is no stopping the GYB Movement.

“No one stopped Rochas Okorocha when he ran for the APC Presidential Ticket in 2014. No one stopped Alex Ekwueme of blessed memory from running for the PDP Presidential Ticket in 1999, and no purported ‘agreement’ on zoning has ever stopped Aspirants from other zones from contesting the Party Primaries of their Party, that clearly won’t happen now that GYB is by far the most popular and the leading Presidential Aspirant in the country.

“GYB is the bride of Nigerians seeking new ways of doing business. He is the champion of a new political culture of competency, capacity and inclusion. And he is the paladin of Youth Inclusiveness and gender parity. GYB is Unshakable and unstoppable”.

“Nigeria deserves the very best going forward, and the best must not be the product of a narrowed space. If we agree that all zones have very competent hands, then let the best of the best run Nigeria.

“To those who think that zoning of the office of President or that of State Governor truly gives a sense of belonging or equity, nothing can be further away from truth. It only gives the political gladiators and political practitioners easier access to power. Do not be deceived by their shenanigans, what gives a sense of belonging and equity is good governance and service delivery.

“I Wonder if the Sea Ports in the South East and the South South were dredged to allow for big vessels to berth and businesses in that region allowed to exist without Apapa Port being the only functional port in Nigeria, how the South East and South South people feel? Zoning of the high office of President, and zoning out future Aspirants on account of region is not the way to justice; good governance and commitment to service delivery is the way to go.

“The President Nigerians need is a Patriot and a Pan Nigerian, not an Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, South East, South South or South West President. And GYB is the pathway to a peaceful, prosperous and united Nigeria centred on justice, equity and fairness.

“GYB is a unifier and a performer. To GYB it has manifestly been ‘though tongues and tribes may differ in brotherhood we stand’. And to GYB this call to duty and to service is undying, unshakable and unalterable”.

“Governor Yahaya Bello is not just one of those seeking the high office of President come 2023, he is the candidate of the masses, he is the candidate of the people, he epitomizes the hope and the aspiration of the Nigerian Youth and Women, and he encapsulates the Nigeria of our collective dreams.

“Fear not folks, worry not and do not lose sleep for the phenomenal GYB is unyielding, unbending, unshakable and unstoppable. With your support, commitment and passion the train to the Rock called Aso is on course, and the cause to birth and berth a new, vibrant and prosperous Nigeria is our unalterable vision, purpose and commitment. Nigeria shall definitely rise again.”

Politics / 2023: The Time To Write Your Name In Gold Beckons, Mr President by Abel7777: 11:31am On Mar 09, 2022
"I wish I was much younger, there are a lot of things I would have done differently but for age." sic. - President Mohammadu Buhari.

The confusion of leadership in the All Progressive Congress APC is symptomatic of the ensuing battle between the forces of good and the forces insisting on the sustenance of the old but largely uneventful order. It is about 2023 and the resolve of the young progressive elements in the Party to take control of the Party for good and to give our nation a more vibrant, competent and passionate watchmen and women come 2023.

Typical of everything human, there is in today's APC the proverbial battle between light and darkness. The PDP is contending with theirs too. But my concern here is the battle and the conflict within my Party the APC. And my worry is how our Dear President who is the leader of the Party navigate the waters and the contours before him, the Party and the nation. Beware the Ides of March, Mr President, think about the legacy you so badly owe the nation, and live true to the promise you made to leave Nigeria better than you met it.

I began this intervention with your regret regarding the 'slowing down' of the momentum of your watch by age. You have in a few fora admitted that if you were younger you would have done much better than you are doing today. In signing the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN BILL into Law you admitted that Nigeria is in dire need of young, vibrant, effective, efficient, effectual, competent and versatile young people. Mr President your greatest legacy will be to hand Nigeria a leader that understands the urgency of now, not those who are simply driven by the desire to fulfill 'an age long ambition.'

Mr President you have to protect the Party the APC from rampaging power mongers and shield it from the manipulation of devious political buccaneers whose motivation is to get the APC Presidential ticket by all means possible and necessary. We must not allow the politics of 2023 to destroy the Party and by extension the fabrics of democracy. You owe the Party a dispassionate forensic analysis of the issues militating against the proper planning and conduct of a national convention. And you have to resolve the contradictions in favour of the forces of good, of progress, of patriotism, and of growth and development.

Mr President you owe the young people of the Party a huge responsibility, having severally confessed your faith and confidence in the Youths of the APC to deliver, the onus therefore is on you to fulfill the promise of handing Nigeria a generation of leaders with competency, agility and capacity.

Mr President the urgency of now is profoundly manifest in the agitation of young people for a new deal come 2023. The Nigerian people, Youths and women alike are saying that much as we do not disparage or disdain old age, the time for a new Republic under the watch of young people is now. We are saying that one of your chief legacies will be to revolutionalize the face and the fabrics of our politics. You can do it Mr President.

Beware the Ides of March, Mr President. As we prepare for the National Convention of our great Party fixed for the 26th of March, do not fall to the devious machinations of those seeking power for the fun of it. Do not hand our party back to the hawks and their agents. Do not allow the forces of darkness to take hold of our Party. And do not give in to the blackmail of career politicians, indeed Mr President one of your greatest gifts to our dear country come 2023 will be to hand Nigeria over to a competent, agile, strong, and passionate leader whose capacity to govern will not be the subject of medical analysis or conspiracy theories.

May the Almighty grant you Mr President the courage, the candour and the capacity to redeem our dear Party, and the will to ensure that come the National Convention of our great Party leaders with the will and the passion to steer the Party right emerge, and in the very end that our great Party produces candidates for the 2023 general elections whose capacity and competency to govern is topnotch. God Bless You, Mr President.

Politics / Signing Of The Nigeria Electoral Bill: A Victory For Equal Opportunity - CCD by Abel7777: 8:20pm On Feb 25, 2022
The Executive Director of the Center for Citizens with Disabilities; Mr. David Anyaele, has termed the signing of the electoral bill into law by President Buhari on Friday 25th February 2022 as a victory for equal opportunity, inclusion, and the promotion of political participation for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria.

It could be recalled that the previous electoral act provides that the Independent National Electoral Commission MAY make provisions for PWDs during elections in Nigeria, but with the bill signed into an Act, this provision has been changed to SHALL making it mandatory for INEC to take appropriate measure to ensure that citizens with disabilities have unhindered access to electoral process on equal basis with others.

The signing of this bill was not as smooth and easy, it required collective efforts of civil society organization, to partner and strive for the struggle not just only for the survival of our democracy, but for the incorporation of PWDs in the promotion of the democracy of Nigeria.

The Center congratulated Nigeria on this feat and insists that it will continue to fight for the promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in Nigeria.

Politics / Electoral Bill: CCD Partners Civil Society , YIAGA Africa And Others by Abel7777: 8:37pm On Feb 22, 2022
The Centre of Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) on Tuesday, 22nd February 2022 partnered with the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room, Yiaga Africa and other CSOs in a protest towards urging President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the electoral bill transmitted to him by the National Assembly on the 31st of January, 2022.

Recognizing that the bill made favourable provisions for citizens with disabilities, the Centre’s Executive Director; Mr. David Anyaele, mobilized Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to protest at the Unity Fountain, Maitama, Abuja, and urge the President to sign the bill, thus that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) can issue a timeline for the 2023 General Election in Nigeria.

According to Mr. Anyaele; “the bill which not only embraces inclusion and innovation but is also a bill that promotes transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s electoral process is a great input since the return of democracy in 1999”. He went further to urge the president to sign the bill as swiftly as possible and write his name in Gold as someone who enhanced the democratic tenets that brought him to power.

During the protest rally, speeches were made by Samson Itodo of Yiaga Africa, Ene Obi who is the convener of Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room, and a host of other Executives of the plethora of Civil Societies Organizations, who in one voice, demanded that President Buhari, gives swiftly his assent to the electoral bill.

PWDs participated actively at the protest march as all clusters were represented at the event.

Nairaland / General / 2023 Presidency: Governor Yahaya Bello Remains The People's Choice - Group by Abel7777: 12:59pm On Feb 21, 2022
A Political Support group Known as "Got Your Back Nigeria" has declared Yahaya Bello as the choice of the Nigerian People.

The Co-ordinator of the group , Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, Stated this in a press statement title " 2023 Presidency: And the People's Choice is GYB, Why , You May Ask" He said the falsehood and deciet deployed by a some groups of Political Gladiators and operators failed and will keep failing because truth never loses to falsehood

The statement reads;

Like a pack of loose cards the desperate falsehood, perfidy and deceit deployed by a select group of political operators and gladiators to shoot down the aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello for the high office of President fails because Truth never loses to falsehood. Convinced that their falsehood isn't sticking, the new stock in trade is zoning, a dogma that professes justice, but works injustice against the rights of the generality of the people to pursue any ambition they hold dear.

Zoning is but the selfish call of the present political elite and players garbed as a call for justice and fairness, but nothing is just in seeking to deny others the right to run for the high office of President now or in the future. You cannot right a wrong by instituting another wrong. We cannot in pursuing our individual ambition deny others that right. Nigeria must create new ways of inclusion rather than seeking to deny others and indeed posterity the right to pursue their ambition at the banal altar of 'your people have always produced a President and ours haven't'. In the 21st century the minimums are competency and capacity, and not exclusion. Zoning is exclusion not inclusion. And I'm open to any debate on this.

Manifestly the masses of our people across ethnic and religious divides, across zonal tendencies and across Partisan lines congregate at the parlour where issues about 2023 and the leadership minimums that Nigerians crave predominate the discuss. Nigerians are unanimous in the choice of Youth, Competency, Capacity, and Inclusiveness. Nigerians aggregate at the quest for a Republic beyond the politics of yesterday. And Nigerians believe that together with GYB we can reset, restart and rework our nation for greatness. The reason for this confidence are multifarious and multifaceted. And against the deluge of falsehood that Governor Yahaya Bello's political opponents bandy, we have consistently placed the Truth before you.

Here are some of the many lucid and incontrovertible reasons GYB is the people's choice for President come 2023.

To a nation seeking a way out of its monstrous dependence on Oil, GYB shows the way. Everyone agrees that for our nation Agriculture is one of the surest way out of the nadir, but whilst other leaders mouth it, GYB is practical about the great future that Agriculture holds for Nigeria, and through the Kogi Appeals Support, a special Agricultural Revolution Scheme thousands of Farmers are empowered yearly and Kogi has increasingly become the new food hub of the nation. Since Nigerians desire a man that knows it, the choice for 2023 is centred on Governor Yahaya Bello GYB becoming President Yahaya Bello PYB come 2023.

On Security, Kogi State which is the only State in Nigeria that has as much as 10 Borders (9 States including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja) is doing profound under GYB. The GYB led government of Kogi State took the State from the low where Boko Haram had her IED making factory to the safest State in the entire North, and the second safest State in Nigeria. For his scorecard on Security, Nigerians believe that it has to be from Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to President Yahaya Bello PYB come 2023.

The GYB infrastructural transformation of Kogi State ranging from the massive ultra modern Civic Centre, to the sprawling Ganaja Bridge and Flyover in Lokoja, amongst the many network of roads across the State, have turned Lokoja the State capital to one of the fastest growing cities in Africa, and made Kogi State one of the most functional States in Nigeria. Unlike some Governors, GYB does not build roads and facilities only to use as much funds to commission them. GYB's commitment to infrastructural development is one of the reasons Nigerians agree it has to be from Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to President Yahaya Bello PYB come 2023.

On inclusion and integration, Kogi is arguably the mini Nigeria (it is multi religious, multi lingual and multi ethnic). And Kogi State under the watch of Governor Yahaya Bello GYB is a testimony of responsible and responsive leadership. GYB has been equitable in the spread of development and appointments across all credible tendencies in the State, he has shown fairness and justice to all and he has taken Kogi beyond the banal issues that trouble today's Nigeria. For this cause Nigerians aggregate on the fact that it has to be from Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to President Yahaya Bello PYB come 2023.

On COVID-19 and allied issues, GYB's dogged insistence that Nigeria must interrogate the COVID-19 pandemic and grow indigenous approach to it, and the deployment of the COVID-19 stimulus package into building one of the biggest medical facilities in West Africa are lucid mementoes of the GYB magic. Indeed the Kogi Reference Hospital is sure to reduce medical tourism in Nigeria. And Nigerians agree that GYB is the sure bet for the high office of President come 2023.

On Youth inclusion and gender parity, GYB runs the most successful Youth centred and all inclusive administration in Nigeria. He runs the most gender sensitive and inclusive administration in the whole of Africa. GYB does not only mouth Youth and Gender inclusion he lives it. For this cause the Youth O'clock fervency is centred on the choice of GYB for President come 2023.

On commitment to service oriented and purpose driven leadership, GYB surmounted a very wicked and a most impish and devious machination to wit the rumoured placing of funds meant for Salaries in Kogi State in a profit yielding account in Sterling Bank, that demonic script targeted at rubbishing the GYB legacy didn't deter him, instead GYB took Kogi State to the top of the World Bank rating of States in Nigeria. It is on record that Kogi State is arguably the best in fiscal and financial discipline in Governance in today's Nigeria. For his scorecard in Fiscal and Financial Discipline, Nigerians are unanimous in the choice of GYB for President come 2023.

On Workers welfare, not only has GYB cleared the backlog of salaries he inherited when he became Governor. He is not owing Kogi workers, except perhaps the Ghost Workers since eliminated from the payroll by the Biometric forensics that showed that before he became Governor Kogi State was a massive workers pay fraud. Also GYB has taken Kogi State to the top of the chart in States that pay Medical and health workers as at when due.

On the Minimum wage question, GYB has shown capacity and commitment to the plight of Kogi workers by joining the league of the States that pay the new minimum wage, this indeed is regardless of the meagre resources that accrue to Kogi State from the Federation Account, and testamentary of the commitment of the effective watchman and compassionate leader to the minimums that governance must be about the well-being of the people. And that is why Nigerians are united in the quest for a GYB Presidency come 2023.

Again on Agriculture, GYB inherited a Rice farming State that had no functional Rice Mill to receive the raw materials from her numerous Rice Farmers, today however, the story is different as Kogi State has one of the most functional Rice Mills in Nigeria. On this amazing GYB magic and more devolves the call of Nigerians to Governor Yahaya Bello to seek the high office of President come 2023.

On Job Creation, GYB has lifted Kogi State from the State where hundreds of thousands, if not millions of unemployable youths across the State struggle without hope, to the State with one of the best Skill Acquisition and Informal Education programmatic. GYB is creating jobs and making the seemingly unemployable employable. For this cause the masses agree that come 2023 it has to be from Governor Yahaya Bello GYB to President Yahaya Bello PYB.

On education, the Kogi State University before GYB was one of the least funded Tertiary institutions in Nigeria, today the Kogi State University is one of the most funded and improved tertiary institutions in the Country. And the same applies to the entire Kogi State educational architecture, with GYB education is the way to go, little wonder Nigerians agree that GYB is the choice for the Nigeria of our dreams, and 2023 is our date with destiny.

Compatriots, the Youth O'clock vision and the agenda for a GYB Presidency come 2023 is rooted on the remarkable strides and the deafening success of GYB in Kogi State. It stands on the infrastructural highs of Kogi under GYB. It is predicated on GYB's impact on the sociopolitical stage, and on his monstrous human capital development in the State of Kogi. The GYB feats are phenomenal and his achievements in Education, Housing, Security, healthcare et cetera profound. And GYB fits the bill for the responsible and responsive President we crave. Together with GYB we can birth and berth a new Nigeria come 2023

Finally, Countrymen and women beyond the politics of zoning and power rotation a highly progressive world calls for competency and capacity, on this lever, Nigerians are poised and determined that Governor Yahaya Bello GYB becomes President Yahaya Bello PYB come 2023. Indeed a new and a prosperous Nigeria is possible. And so shall it be. God Bless Nigeria.
