Softmirror:I get your point now. But the numbers will be divided among three people this time around, especially from the north. So, Tinubu has made a political miscalculation already. The only thing that can help him is if Kwankwanso steps down for him. I repeat, the vote from the south west for the first time is going to be along religious line. There is always the first time; that is what some people don't understand. Undefeated boxers always walk into the ring undefeated, until they got knocked out for the first time. Ask Anthony Joshua about his experience with Andy Ruiz. |
blabulu2000:Sorry to burst your bubble. She is not the only one ooo. MAny are doing it but you only saw just a thread here on Nairaland, that is why you think so. For your information, the hundreds of votes, 50s of votes from each local parishes will sum up to become the millions just like your regular polling units. O maa shock yin see. Una think na play! I have my focus group already; all Yorubas. I deliberately excluded SE/SS guys. |
buzikid49515:No need to call anyone bastard, buddy. They have the right to their choices. |
Softmirror:Continue deceiving yourself. Present a Northern christian for an election against a Northern muslim and tell me what the outcome will be in the north predominantly muslim. Una don see mumu! |
James91:I hope they can watch this and stop the yeye political correctness. Most muslims will vote for their Muslim candidates, and they still want christians not to vote along religiuos line. No be omugo be that! |
Ennoloa:E se pupo fun ise takuntakun( Thanks so much for the great job). Mobilization here there is what adds up to the millions of votes. My siblings, in-laws, and other benefactors are all for Peter Obi. Omo Ondo Ponbele ni mi. In the whole of the South West, Ondo and Lagos, I give it to them. They are independent thinkers. They vote based on competence not by Baba sope. Yoruba Christians, e gbera nile kie lo dibo. Deborah's killers have not been tried up till today. Nobody is saying anything. The woman preaching in Abuja close to a mosque and was murdered by those Islamic youths has still not gotten justice! |
Softmirror:Howis this a vote buying. We are simply speaking with one voice. Let Tinubu, Atiku, and Kwankwanso share the votes of the muslims, while Peter Obi coasts home with christian vote. If religion does not matter, why can't Tinubu pick a christian Northerner? He felt that the Northerners would reject their own based on religion, hence he went for a northern muslim. This is the fact but they will never tell a an uneducated Yoruba christian. They will simply tell that, "Olorun kan naa ni gbogbo wa nsin'( We all servethe same GOD. But that is not the case in the North. Eyin Yoruba Christin, e jara yin,e ma suegbe! |
from my side alone, I can guarantee that the awareness is huge. This election is going to be like no other election. Tinubu and APC saying that Yorubas don't care will understand they have made a great mistake. He will struggle in south west. Please, mark this post. |
Ennoloa:Thanks for doing a good job! I keep on saying that the majority of elite Yoruba Christians will vote for Obi. Some people here have been calling me names that I'm IPOB, that I am omo ale (bastard). The joke is on them. How on earth would a Muslim not only succeed Muslim after 8 years but also come with another Muslim as a running mate? Is Nigeria now an Islamic country? Are there no capable, competent, and intelligent Christians in the north who could be a running mate to Tinubu? Except for those wannabe Christians who are either members of APC, or benefitting directly or indirectly from APC's wickedness, the majority south western Christian votes are for Peter Obi. For those Christians forming woke, trying to be politically correct, the joke is on you! The muslims will never tolerate that; the MURIC guy would be foaming from all sides of the mouth if the table was to turn. This election will shock those people who feel that Yoruba will not vote along religious line. That was before, not now! The issue of Deborah that was killed unjustly because of her post on WhatsApp is still there, Christians being killed in the church ( OWo and host of others), and the challenge of those Islamic clerics that Christians don't have the numbers. The wicked culture of silence of early Christians in Turkey, as a country, as made it become an Islamic country today. France, a Christian country, is also witnessing lots of challenges in their own country due to their hitherto political correctness by giving those refugees from Islamic war torn countries a little chance. A child born in 2015, if Tinubu wins, will be 24 years old before seeing any Christian president in Nigeria. For those saying is doesn't matter, if the was to be spinned, would you accept it? Yoruba Christians, stop sitting on the fence. E did wuya, e gbera nile ki e lo dibo fun Peter Gregory Obi ati Datti Baba Ahmed. Baba, Mama Pikin na di logo..... |
Flathead8:Mr. Macaroni is a Yoruba person. His vote is for Peter Obi, that is what matters. There are a number of silent Yoruba people who don't want to be persecuted that are working for Peter Obi. Just wait and see the turn out! |
floret23:You can say that again, my sister. They will come after you now through name calling and blackmailing. Tinubu will receive the greatest shock of his life when the Christian votes will see him go down. The MURIC will never accept this! I'm glad they now know |
jyz200:Tani broda e? Eyin oniranu gbogbo!Iya ou su yin ni? The kind of shame that we follow Nigeria if Tinubu wins will have no grade. Tinubu that will be messing up in the gatherings of world leaders! Let's assume you want to take what does not belong to you by way of using the turn of the Igbos(which I would have still voted against for fairness), are there no younger and vibrant Yoruba people like Fashola, Osinbajo? |
Xchii:Omugo ni e. I sited a good example before you, and all you could do is to behave like a tout who you are. Oniranu! |
jyz200:If the likes of Falz, Mr. 'Macaroni', and others were not well known, you would have forcefully changed their identity to 'IGBOS' in a bid to make the world believe that no Yoruba will vote Peter Obi. Check the posts of Falz and Mr. Macaroni, and come back here to make this statement again. I know people like you; first is the denial, and when you cannot forcefully change the person's identity, you resorted to name calling and blackmailing. I can recall when you guys tagged Mr. Macaroni a failed Skitter', and Omo ale because he categorically rejected a senile, and brain dead packaging stuff you guys are branding up and down. Now, you guys are calling Falz, 'Omo Baba Oniro' on social media just today because he said he will not vote for Tinubu. If Falz was not well known, you would have spinned his identity. Shee won fi she yin ni? Omi iya ko su yin ni?(Suffer head no dey taya una?) Look, I,ve got nothing to prove that I be Yoruba gan gan because even if I do, you would still, in your bitterness, still shift the goal post to blackmailing and name calling. So, O le lo kos i gota, shee o gbo! |

Obaaderemi2:To respond to your opinion, I have my PVC. And I believe Peter Obi has a chance as long as Kwanwanso, Atiku, and Tinubu are all still in the race. The trio will cancel the nothern votes and muslim votes among themselves. No one of the Tinubu,Kwankwanso and Atiku will get a bloc vote as it used to be. Peter Obi will get his bolc vote from south east, will do very well by leading with a good margin in the south south, get some votes in NE( Taraba especially),will do well in North central and south west. As things stand now, the elites will come out and vote unlike before when they believed that their votes will not count. It is going to be the battle of the following (1) Religion (2) Ethinicity (3) Elites vs poor and uneducated in the hinterlands (4) Majority of people of ages 18-49( which constitutes over 70%) of eligible voters. Now do the maths yourself, and based on the use of BIVAS, I have no doubt that Peter Obi will emerge All of those four factors favour Peter Obi. |
swarley75:I'm glad you said your brother is stupid. How can you be calling the Igbos IPOB? How can you refer to the Igbos as second class citizens? These are some of the conversations that can never bring peace to this country. Now, because I believe in Igbo presidency, you said I'm stupid! The way your brain is wired, you believe a Yoruba person cannot support a more competent Igbo person in Peter Obi over a confused and demented Tinubu, right? Beyond the feel good factor, would you rather see a Peter Obi in the United Nations delivering key address or taking part in extra-ordinary sessions or a 'Paul Biya-like Tinubu' who will be doing 'TEAMSHIP' and acting confused with great deal of incoherence? Get rid of this yeye mentality of omo wa ni, eje o shee. The shame will be on you guys if you succeed packaging this sick man when we have a more energetic, intelligent , and capable person in Peter Obi. I'm sure when you travel out(if you chose to) in case you have not, you would not like to be addressed as a second class citizen even when you are one. |
MrColdsweat:Don't do this, brother. Insulting a race because of an argument with one of such race is not acceptable! I am a Yoruba person, and ardent supporter of Peter Obi. There are lots of Yorubas that I know who will vote for him. So, please, don't insult the Yorubas or any other tribe. I will also appeal to the Yorubas not to insult any tribe. We can make our opinions known without calling out tribes. |
dustmalik:Ara e o ya! Emi mo pe Muslim nie from your username. It is convenient for you to support Tinubu because you are one. Buhari, a Mulsim ruled for 8 years. Tinubu, a muslim wants to succeed him for another 8 years. As if that was not enough, Shettima, a fellow muslim, is a running mate. By the time Tinubu is done if he wins, another Northerner, who will likely be a muslim for obviuos reason, will rule for another 8years. A child born in 2015 would have experienced a muslim president for 24 years! Tinubu will surely pay for this in the south west You need to wait and see how majority of elite Christian voters will behave. Tinubu will struggle in Lagos and Ondo state, trust me. |
jyz200:Oju ndun e. Omo Yoruba ponbele lon basoro. I don' need to prove anything because even if I do, you will still shift the goal post by saying, 'Omo ale', ' maybe my mother was Igbo' and all. So, there is no need. Let the truth be told, Yoruba and Fulani cannot be rotating power among themselves and expect peace to reign in this country. How can you be beating a child and expect the child not to cry? Where is the justice? Besides, Tinubu is old and frail, not as competent and agile as Peter Obi. More so, the Muslim-Muslim ticket is a no no. I repeat, MURIC will not allow this. Have you heard anything from MURIC of late? It's better the Fulanis continue to rule than for the Yorubas( who I am) to take use the turn of Igbos. It's not fair at all. |
Lipscomb:I'm not sure of what you meant. This must be a typo. |
Guidedee:Shee o ti soro tan? Iwo gan gan ni omo ale, oponu, alainironu eda! Emi mo pe nkan ti o ma ti enu e jade niyen! That is the best you can say. I have nothing against Tinubu. However, I have a lot against his inordinate ambition to become the president when he is very sick mentally and physically. If Tinubu was to be my father, I would dissuade him from contesting because it would be a great disservice to the country. Mark you, I'm not an ass-licker, neither do I care what an arrogant Tinubu represents. What do you know about proper upbringing? You mean Tinubu who did not say a jac when kids were out of school for close to an academic session but suddenly found his voice because of election? Continue with your 'proper upbringing' and allow the old generation tha had their time and also using your own time to continue ruining your future. What was Buhari's age when he first became the military head of state? Dey there dey form good upbringing and licking the asses of these selfish politicians |
He should be questioned as to where he got so much fuel that he can distribute. Yes, a kind gesture some will say. He is still part of the problem using his influence to get more than enough while poor others need to subjugate themselves to get the 'peanuts' from him. That is what politicians like; making people poor and uneducated so that they can be at their mercy. At the end of the day, the poor masses will end up praising their oppressors and people who ab initio were part of their problems! |
ElSudani:I can see that you prefer to attack the messenger, not the message. Please, dispute those pieces of information he puts up there. Where were these politicians when Nigerians have been suffering for the past 8 years in terms of high low value of naira, high cost of living, sudents being at home, children being kidnapped, high spate of insecurity, disregard for rule of law by this government, and all. Why is it that they found their voices and turned into human rights activist suddenly as the elections approach? Common, some Nigerians are not daft! |
kayusely70:Hates Tinubu bi ti bawo? Why do you guys always like to blackmail whoever fails to endosrse Tinubu. Baba Adebanjo is acting in good conscience. Would you be happy if another Fulani man succeeds Buhari? If no, how is that different from a situation where a Yoruba man arm-twisting what should ordinarily go to a competent Igbo man? Are we saying that there are no competent person in Igbo land to rule this country? Is Peter Obi not competent? |
Godfullsam:Simply put, Peter Obi ticks all the boxes: Capacity, Competence, and all the yardsticks you can think of. He is the most competent of the lots. And you can't expect the Igbo sitting governors to openly campaign for him when he is not a member of their party. That will amount to anti-party activities. Also, if the Igbo elders start shouting his name, Peter Obi will be blackmailed as a regional candidate. The job is already being done by the likes of Baba Adebanjo and Pa Edwin Clark. Thebest thing is for the Igbo Statemen to be quiet while the elders from other regions do the work for them. Look, Peter Obi does not even need the support of the governors before he wins the south east massively. I expect him to have a minimum of 80% in the five SE. The era of BIVAS has greatly reduced the manipulations of the powerful politicians. That being said, competence is found in all regions of the country It's only Yorubas and Fulanis that are competent. Lt's get this staright and enjoy peace. Where there is no justice, there can't be peace. I ask agian, what is the offence of the Igbos. If Nigerians do not want them, just amend the constitution, and allow them to secede! |
ElSudani:Becasue he is not an ass-licking journalist like those in TVC, abi. You can't expect him to talk like Babajide Otitoju, Omatsheye, Uncle Yori, Ayo Ozugbaku, and rest of those in bondage called TVC. |
wwwihy:English Language is not for everybody. If you cannot read and understand a simple write-up like this, then I think it would be very difficult to redeem you out of the current mindset you have! |
jyz200:Who are the we? Shee o mo nkan to shee e sha? Enu e bi enu 'advancement'. She MURIC ma gba irue? No be the same south west we dey wey MURIC dey yarn dust? Joor lo wa bikan joko si? Ibo tonbo yii, ibinu ni awon Christians lati ile Yoruba maa fi vote. Forget it, MURIC will not allow this to happen. Don't think the majority of Yoruba Christians are fools, ogbeni! |
Neither is good for fairness and equity! ObiDatti remains the most balanced and best ticket. I am Yoruba, and I stand with Peter Obi. How on earth can we be living in the world of injustice and we want peace! If the Igbos are not good enough to lead this country, let them secede. How can the North and Southwest using the Igbos to play chess!. Common this is not fair. Many thanks to Baba Adebanjo for standing up for justice. The injustice makes me sick, honestly. |
drlateef:Gbe enu dake jare ( shut up). How is he an agbaya? For standing for fairness, justice and equity? Obasanjo se odun mejo, Osinbajo fe pari odun mejo. Kini ese awon Igbo(What is the offence of the Igbos)? Pa Adebanjo gets the support of well meaning people from the south west. I am one of them. Would you be happy if Atiku succeeds Buhari? Will you not be shouting injustice? That is what Pa Adebanjo is clamouring for, and history will be kind to him! Baba ee pe fun wa, si! |
