Sony is not selling as much in the US because they refuse to market there. The US phone market is dominated by carriers who dictate to phone companies and this may be why only one carrier has just a few models.

Conversely, Sony is quite popular in Europe, especially here in the UK. Although Samsung is more popular.

I will never buy scrapy Samsung anyway. And HTCs are kinda ugly.

This same has happened to my Tecno Phantom A+ before and it cost me 5k to fix it them in 2012. They will need to change the charging IC on board
