Moadejimi: I haven't as well, so, I asked an Immigrations Representative in Canada, here is her reply:
"That's why I said this year is very different. I can explain the disorderliness in a bit.
Sometimes if they pick 10 apps and distribute among 10 VOs, each CO works at different speed and each app has different level of complexity. If VO9 finishes,
So as I was saying before, if VO9 finishes app 9 then he'll get another app from another batch, say app 11, even though apps 1-8 are still under review with the other VOs. If VO9 is fast, or keeps getting easy apps, he might be working on app 19 whereas app 1 is still under review with another VO.
I hope you get my drift. So in part, that explains the seeming disorderliness.
Meanwhile some app sef go give other plenty headache. Too many things to verify, applicant don travel all over the world, many countries to check for security or immigration breaches, docs are in a different language, requiring translation verification, too many docs and sponsors and bank statements etc.VO sef go just park that one small. Or medicals or employment need clarification etc. They are only humans too.
Well, you know say naija no dey carry last. A # of previous students too misbehaved after getting visa. Some claimed money they didn't have and then couldn't pay tuition. Some just never showed up at school cos they had other motive anyway. All those things are tracked and compared amongst countries that apps are coming from. Then they make more stringent conditions in subsequent years for specific countries if need be "
End quote.
I hope this explains it. This is a bit relieving, the VO tended to my application should please speed up things because He/she have lots of documents to verify...lol |

At least some people still get update, what's going on with people who haven't gotten any update since submission? Did the system crash or some application are intentionally not tended to? God please intervene, school resumes in less than a month and there are lots of things to put in place before travelling which is centered on the outcome of this TRV application... The VO's here should please make people's dream come through and not kill it... Good morning everyone and wishing all of us expecting approval God's favour |

ebby29: Hello house good morning. Please I need enquiry on this. I did my upfront medical last week Tuesday, and called them to ask when if will be sent, to my amusement I was told upfront medical is only for those that haven't applied yet and I applied before doing the medical at Children Consultancy. Please help me, what can I do? from what i understand about medicals, there are two ways you can get it done - upfront or medical callUpfront is the one you do before the submission of your application, on completion of the medicals, a document will be given to you to attach to the application you will submit, this document is what i think will inform the VO assessing your application that you've done medical and the result will be called for from the hospital where you did it.
Medical call is the one you will be asked to go and do when the VO has assessed your application to the level of medical and find out there is no medical result available. a document will be sent to you from CIC which you will take to any recognized hospital of your choice. so if your medical test does not fall in between these two categories, i think it is not valid... the more knowledgeable people here will throw more light... ire oo... |

RealObserver: There you go again bragging... if you can remember clearly your first post on this thread where you solicited for people's opinion about going to do your application in another country, people here gave you variety of ways to go about your application, now you are here bragging about doing it all yourself.
This thread has helped me in so much ways I cannot express by typing it, I asked just one question before I submitted my application and they gave me different insights on things, I saw the wide range of ideas they contributed I thanked everyone and I used my own discretion to go through the path I felt was more reasonable.
What am saying in essence is that you are free to contribute your opinion to the discuss but not at the expense of always discrediting other people's opinion, because in the end it's left to whomever asked the question choose what they think is best for them.
So young man I am not denying you your right to freedom of speech, but don't use that right to abuse someone else's.
This is the last I'll say regarding this issue, so it's best we all pull the kill switch at this junction. the room is seriously tensed... let's just relax, this month of perfection, The Almighty God will perfect everything concerning our Visa and we will record more Visa approval than last month in Jesus name Ire ooo... |

jnyuwa02: I guess the SOP exists for no reason and one should never make career changes just to go get a TRV to Canada? Fallacy. Thank God gave us the brains to think for ourselves and at the end of the day, everyone would have to go by their gut instincts, listen to the sound of their own voice, not the sound of the choir. I find that gut instinct has always worked for me. Long before I read a word on this forum, I did fine and won for myself a full scholarship all expenses paid. On my way for a TRV now. I don't mean to denigrade the forum. It's important to bounce off ideas, but at the end of the day don't simply go by what you hear here, trust your instincts too. It's important to have a relationship with what you studied in the past, but by no means have no fear of making changes in your career and explain it to a VO. It is God who is in control. Oh boy! this Americana has come again... , all what you see here are mere advice based on experience, this group has been here for more than 2yrs, because I joined last year when I was about applying for my study permit. when giving advice, you have to state it clear and truthfully, though it hurts @ times but it is the truth, it is now left for you to heed the advice or discard it, the choice is yours. also, you don't have to agree with everything here, but you can display a high level of maturity by not responding to everything, I rarely respond, only when I deem it fit. like others have said, VOs will look for loop hole to deny you, that's their job, it is left for you not to give them the reasons, and what worked for my A may not work for mr B, that's what I called favor. but in all, keep to the rules and regulation stated by the CIC and pray to God for Favor. BlessPJ: God bless you all here, I was resufused Canada visa Ie study permit base of Purpose of visit, Correct employment situation and No travel History. My first degree was Human Physiology and I was given Admission to study Bsc Psychiatric Nursing. At the moment I feel like changing t study PGD but my GPA is 2.32 all the schools am seeing is 3.0 minimum. I need ur help kindly help me list f school I can study medical courses related to physiology and can accept 2.32 CGPA since using BSC is 50/50 chance if I reapply. Kindly inbox me. Kind hearted brothers and sisters I need ur help. Sorry for the delay, I think the best thing is to obtain your GCSM file as the gurus here will say, in order to know the VO's specific reason aside the stated ones. Concerning the purpose of Visit, hope there's no condition that need to be satisfied on your admission letter? That could be one of the reasons. Another which is very glaring is the correlation between your previous field of study and what u are going for, I think a strong Letter of explanation will come handy here. Look for a relation between psychology and psychiatric nurse, and exploit it, a little research into how they are related will help here. And for the last reason which is travel history, like the gurus here will say, it is never a stand alone reason for rejection, it always come along with other reasons, so if you can clear the former excuses, I believe it will also be cleared... Just what I think, the gurus can shed more light |

justwise: Stop contradicting yourself and call a spade a spade, in one hand you are telling people to be honest and in other hand telling them to be smart to cover their tracks and pray to God.
God has now become a partner in crime I am not contradicting myself, it is very obvious that even when no punishment is attached to sin, people will still sin, it is in human nature to want to err for reasons known to them And for the aspect of praying to God, God is not an author of confusion, yet he is a merciful God, He said he will have mercy on who he will have mercy on, not for the sake of being righteous or sinful, but because he chose to, nevertheless, we can continue to live in sin and ask for the grace of God to abide... God does what he want, because he is God, so my brother don't be surprise when those people who have been misrepresented receive mercy from God and have their Visa granted... God will favour us all |

This issue of misrepresentation is becoming too rampart, people everyone should just try as much as possible to double check their application before submitting, because I can't imagine the pain of receiving such mail after waiting for weeks expecting one's Visa.
Let's try to be sincere too, most of these countries they share information regarding immigrants to their countries, If you want to be smart, cover all your tracks, if you can't be truthful in your application and pray to God for favour...
Best of luck to all us awaiting good news |

abdullahi45: Good afternoon gurus,
I have some issues here which needs immediate response,
Please kindly advice me on what to do please: I applied for admission at UBC, McGill and Manitoba, already rejected at UBC and McGill but Manitoba is telling me that I would be rejected if i don't get a supervisor by July 3rd, my program coordinator says he has passed my application to all faculty staffs and that I should also still continue with my search via sending the potential supervisors email, which i have sent tire with no positive response. In your own opinion sirs and mas what do you think i can do best at this moment I don't want to get rejected here again
I think i have made a very big mistake for applying to only the top ranked and highly competitive university in Canada but nevertheless which university do you think i can put in for prior to Winter 2018 admission, less competitive ones and that easily accept Nigerians with good grades. I would like to pursue Msc in either Microbiology or Biotechnology.
Getting a research supervisor at University of Dalhousie and Regina have been like hell, i have sent introduction letter tire but no positive response. Advise please??
I await your magnanimous response Pls. Thanks I will advice you have your Research Proposal sent to all the departmental Lectures. If your proposal is in line with any of the available lectures on ground, you will definitely be contacted. If proposal is not tailored according to any of the lecture's area of interest you may never get anyone to accept you. What I did in my case was to search for lecturers with similar research interest to mine, mailed them, only one responded he interviewed me and then asked me to submit my application. Moreso I already have a proposal on ground, but he fine tuned it to his taste. You also have yo pray for God's favour. Best of luck |

sunvick: Please folks, Is there any difference btw LOE and SOP?
I thought they both serve same purpose just to be sure Well based on my understand, they tend to address the same issue, but the format may be different. Like me, my statement of purpose contained the following, in a letter format; 1. Brief introduction of myself 2. Why I chose the university 3. Why I chose the program 4. Why the program is different from the one obtained in Nigeria 5. And assurance to return on completion of my program. My Letter of explanation on the other hand addresses each issue raised by the VO in my previous denial, what I have done yo correct it and explain what isn't clear to the VO that made him/her to deny me. You can as well let your letter of explanation address each of the following point separately; 1. Available funds 2. Purpose of visit 3. Home ties 4. Assets e.t.c All what I have stated are my opinion and how I did mine. Thanks |

Also If ur admission is in Fall and you are apply with those resuming for winter (January) before the summer, it may lead to purpose of visit too. I was delayed too last year for purpose of visit and insufficient fund and home ties |
