Hello,

I got refused on the basis of insufficient funds yesterday. I used my uncle's bank statements for the past 5months. I am sure he touched the money in the account.

Now I want to re-apply again. If my other relative (new sponsor) also happens to be an uncle, can I use his statement together with the old one or I could snub the old one and use the statement of the new sponsor.

Will it create an impression that I am trying to deceive the VO?

Sorry to hear that, but I don't think taking money from d account will affect the VO's decision because they can only believe the amount specified is in d account is there, they can't assess it.

The only thing they can do is to verify if d account exist. From what gurus here have said concerning statement of account, declosing d actual amount in a bank customer's account to any other person apart from the owner is a bridge of agreement, no bank will do that except under fraudulent investigation by EFCC.

Request for ur gmsc or what is it called and refire, God will grant you favour

Thanx a bunch, every month, there is an amount deducted from my account as a fixed savings to be matured in 5 years which means every month I am been deducted an amount which I can't touch and this will continue till 5 years, it is over two years I subscribed to this savings system and I have been working since 2012. All the working documents are breathing well, but at this particular moment, my account is very low, do you think I should submit my monthly savings receipts and leave out my bank statement or I should still add my bank statement despite it us low but the transactions in it shows the amount I am been deducted every month in the name of savings?

I think there are several reasons why the VO want an applicant to submit his/her personal statement of account even though you have a sponsor

1. If you claim you've bn working they want to see proof

2. They'll want to check for consistency in your cash inflow, I mean there should be a regular amount that comes in every month , everybody knows people have more than one source of income this days, don't bother ur self trying to explain all the money that comes in

3. They will want knw if in case ur sponsor default sponsoring u at any time, you h will have something to fall back on, either cash or anything u can monetize

4. In case u have family back home, how will they survive, in dat case if ur wife works, u can include her payslip and ur marriage certificate showing you're married to her.

Above all, commit ur application into God's hand, it is not always about how good or bad one's application is, it is about God granting us favour in the sight of the VOVO

Hello, I will be heading to Manitoba by God's grace August/September.

Then u should wait for passport request but in most cases ppl who did upfront medicals still receive request for medicals.

I've not seen or heard of any situation where an applicant who did an upfront medicals was requested to go for another . I think they only request for another medicals if ur application is delayed and ur medical result has expired ( may be stayed up to 6 months).
So if u have a result of medical passed, thank God and wait for the final decision.

Hi all, to God be the glory great things he has done.I started the race march 6 and it ended June 7. It wasn't an easy journey but with God it was. Here is my timeline

And that was all I think . loads of prayer, fasting , retreats.

Guys, its N8,500 to do Police Clearance Certificate and not the N5,000 that has been communicated here. I did it at Alagbon Close, Ikoyi today.

It depends on your negotiating power. There's no fixed price for it, I've heard people do it for 4000, 5000 and higher in the same alagbon. I did mine there at 5000. Just negotiate with d individual who want to assist you.

I had fund transferred to my account just 2 days before I filed my application and all I did was to write a letter of explanation explaining why that money was just coming into my account, purpose and who sent it. I wasn't denied. Though that shouldn't be a yardstick for anoda person not build account... it's all God's Grace

What we're saying is still the same , you need to explain the sudden huge sum of money in your account few days to printing ur statement of account. Any other document to buttress you explain will only assist the VO to ascertain your claim.
The fact that u didn't attach document and it worked for u doesn't mean it will work for someone else.

That's good enough, as long as u just didn't Lodge money their for d purpose of visa application. You can attached the cheque and the photos to ur applications and write a letter of explanation, you will be fine

Attach a letter of explanation stating where the money came from with evidence. For example if it is loan state it there and attach the documents u used in securing the loan. It may even serve as a good tie to ur country if the condition attached to d loan is returning to serve

Originals are not requested, they are only requested at court when notarizing/ certifying your document which is not compulsory

Hello house please I have this worrisome situation. If one is using a passport with a different date of birth to that of birth certificate to apply, will it have an adverse effect on one's chance of being granted a TRV? Though I stated in the letter of explanation what my actual date of birth is and stated that it was a mistake from the immigration office. Is that acceptable? Pls I need a quick response on this. Absolutely. You should attach it to your visa application. It shows some source of financial support, from a reliable person like your supervisor.

To be honest with you, the entrance scholarship doesn't mean much in terms of boosting your financial standing for visa application. If you got the UMGF, then, you have less to worry about, about being denied visa based on financial reasons. Even then, you still have to get a sponsor with a 'smiling' account balance or good cash inflow to remove all doubts from the VO's mind.

You don't need any special proof of the IGSES other than your admission letter. And you state the actual amount of your tuition, without the IGSES. If it was the UMGF, then, you will need to submit a coloured (not necessarily original) copy of the scholarship letter and the form you filled stating you are accepting the scholarship.

Hello, just want to ask a question, knowing you're in U of M. I was given an admission for MSc in Community Health Sciences department. My supervisor have a grant that he's willing to pay me, cos I will be working as his research assistant. I requested a written letter from him stating the amount he will be paying, he sent me a letter duely signed him with d details of d proportion of the grant allocated. Can that be used as a scholarship letter to add to my financial support, cos I intend using it since I didn't apply for UMGF? Thanks. What department are you?

Same here too, the agent charged 250k simply becos I need him just for statement of account. I've decided to contact all relatives to fund my account. Meanwhile I have to get another passport as advised by some people, so as not to be denied on that basis. Do you have scholarship from ur supervisor or graduate school? If you do, you won't need much money in ur statement of account

My issue is somehow similar to yours. I need a reference letter from my working place, and d person in charge told me to get a new passport or I would be denied. My passport expires next yr March. He told me I can only get a new one in Abuja even when the former hasn't expired, that other branch offices don't do that. I'm still considering d options though. So you can get a new one in Abuja office

Also my wife will serve as a co-sponsor in addition to me being my sponsor. She works as a technologist in federal university of Technology Akure. Will it also boost my financial strenght?

Try sending him a reminder, asking if he/she git your precious mail, it's likely he/she is on vacation or not around, so don't waste time waiting for him/her, You can also contact others in d same department with similar field of research or check other departments.

84%, correct,my bad. When the school roll out advert, and you have ur academic transcripts. You can also check individual staff webpage of the department you're interested in, some may have grants and will be in search of research assistant or graduate assistant. So u can contact them showing interest.

I was beginning to think my question has been ignored .Please I got response from the Usask supervisor I mailed asking if i meet up to 80% average and excel in English language and also my funding ability as funding offer is limited . Though I attached my transcript to the initial mail I sent. And stated that I had a 4.2 gpa. Please advise on a suitable response to give. I will appreciate a swift response. I'm yet to decide on Brandon university because the course is not in line with my areas of interest while I'm still trying to find a supervisor for university of Manitoba. I've seen a couple of interesting research so I will be sending my mails to them this week.

If you have a source for funding, let him/her know, your admission is 40% sure, as long as you have the money to pay, d 60% now depend on you and your supervisor's ability to fight for you during admission process.

Tell him/her that the language of taught throughout your undergraduate was English that you can get him/her a proof of proficiency in English from your university (if you can get it, if you can't don't tell him/her that). And tell him/her that if test of English as a FOR ign language is a compulsory requirement, that you won't mind registering for it.

If he/she is impressed, he/she may interview you on Skype, work with you to develop your proposal and God will grant your effort will success. Best of God
