Career / Warren Buffett Golden Advice #monday by ABinvestor24: 1:04pm On Mar 16, 2020
Warren Buffett

CEO, Berkshire Hathaway
Buffett, 82, is the billionaire investor from Nebraska whose stock-picking savvy and Wall Street wisdom have earned him a reputation as the "Oracle of Omaha."

Education:
Bachelor of Arts/Science, University of Nebraska Lincoln; Master of Science, Columbia University

Did you know
Buffett still lives in the same Omaha, Nebraska home he purchased in 1958 for $31,500.

On Thinking Independently
You're neither right nor wrong because people agree with you. You're right because your facts and your reasoning are right.

On Success and Happiness
They say success is getting what you want, and happiness is wanting what you get. I always worry about people who say, "I'm going to do this for 10 years; I really don't like it very well. And then I'll do this ..." That's a little like saving up sex for your old age. Not a very good idea.

On Investing
The first rule of investing is not to lose money. The second rule is not to forget the first rule.

On Picking Stocks for the Long Term
You should invest in businesses so good that even a fool can run them, because someday a fool will.

On Retiring
I will keep working until about five years after I die. I've given my board of directors a Ouija board so they can keep in touch. I also have a letter that will go out and tell what the plans of the company are. It starts out, "Yesterday I died." I just hope the stock doesn't go up too much that day.

Quote by Warren:
Rational people don't risk what they have and need for what they don't have and don't need.

Investment / Investment 101 by ABinvestor24: 3:53pm On Mar 12, 2020
What is an Investment ?

An investment is an asset or item acquired to generate income or appreciation. In an economic sense, an investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth. In finance, an investment is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will later be sold at a higher price for a profit.

Understanding Investment

Investing is putting money to work to start or expand a project - or to purchase an asset or interest - where those funds are then put to work, with the goal to income and increased value over time. The term "investment" can refer to any mechanism used for generating future income. In the financial sense, this includes the purchase of bonds, stocks or real estate property among several others. Additionally, a constructed building or other facility used to produce goods can be seen as an investment. The production of goods required to produce other goods may also be seen as investing.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
(a)Investment is the act of putting money to work to start or expand a business or project or the purchase of an asset, with the goal of earning income or capital appreciation.
(b)Investment is oriented toward future returns, and thus entails some degree of risk.
(c)Common forms of investment include financial markets (e.g. stocks and bonds), credit (e.g. loans or bonds), assets (e.g. commodities or artwork), and real estate.

Autos / For Commercial drivers. This is for you! by ABinvestor24: 10:24am On Mar 09, 2020
Hello Nairalanders,

This information is for anyone in the Commercial driving Business in Lagos. This is not a business proposition, it is just an awareness most especially for those that travel long-distance on a daily.
There's a lot of factors to consider when replacing your car tires, especially in Lagos. You need to routinely check your tire every 6 months and have a replacement every 3-4 years due to our bad roads. Our bad roads shorten the life span of the Tyres which should usually be changed after 5-6 years.
Good news for commercial drivers. There's a Program out there that's going to change your wear tires at no cost initially. You can extend the payment in 3 months. Suitable for Commercial commuters.

If you need more clarity, you can ask questions and I will explain further.

Basically:
You get a brand new tire (All four)for your vehicle and liable to pay back within 3 months. Lagos Only
This offer isn't only for commercial drivers, it's applicable for everyone.

Nairaland / General / If You're Between 23 - 45 This Is For You by ABinvestor24: 9:24pm On Mar 08, 2020
Hello Nairalanders,

I don't care what country you are in. This is the age you start thinking excessively about your financial situation. I'm 28 and I'm passively looking for ways to be financially free. I want to retire before 35. I'm not talking about Instant financial freedom. Great wealth takes time. The wealth that can be passed down generationally. I figured that you can't get wealthy by equating your time = money. Even if you work till Jesus comes back. You will never be free. The only way to be free is when you make money work for you. I know you have heard about it. It's True. that's the only way.

Enough of the story.

I want to share with you a Book Titled: The Richest Man in Babylon
By George S. Clason

Pdf and Audio would be provided on request.

FYI- I am not wealthy but I am comfortable. Not as much as I want but I'm able to pay my bills and social responsibilities. If anyone wants to help you financially, they will teach you how to fish and not give you fish. I am not only going to show you how to do this yourself. I will also educate you, so you can start doing your research as well. I spend a lot of time online. I consume about 100g worth of data monthly on research.

I hope you follow through. Don't miss this Train.
Best of Luck

Nairaland / General / The Birth Of DIY Investment Abinvestor24 by ABinvestor24: 3:38pm On Mar 08, 2020
Hello Nairalanders,

My name is Abdulghafar Adebisi. I have a lot of things to share with you if you're interested in being financially free. This is not a get quick scheme or overnight success tricks. It's a DIY Investment. If you're tired of buying several manuals on how to make money and they end up selling you irrelevant or outdated methods. Yes, I've been there as well. Which has motivated me to do research on profitable Investment without a third party in Nigeria? I am pleased to announce to you that I have successfully cashed out grin

All my research and time invested paid off. the money went in at the right time and came out just when I needed it. FYI - It's a 6-month Long Investment to a Year. If you're not Patience, this isn't for you.

That's all for now.
