Maintaining a relationship in Nigeria is actually a big deal. Though there is no perfect relationship with perfect results; there are indeed frictions and misunderstandings that must come. Handling these misunderstandings in a matured way will help the relationship grow stronger and better.

1. Finance: Many relationships hit the rocks over financial issues. Lack of money, whether it’s because of joblessness or lavish spending, is a big stress factor in relationships. The economic situation of Nigeria which has turned out for the worse in recent years has negatively affected many relationships.

.2. Lack of trust: Staying in a relationship where the partners do not trust each other is prevalent in the Nigerian society. This could be because of actions displayed by the partners. For instance, undue closeness to certain friends of the opposite sex terming them 'besties' Lack of trust is the final blow that ends relationships

3. Jealousy and insecurity: Problems like jealousy, possessiveness, anger and insecurity don’t just come when one partner is talented, beautiful, or more popular than the other; they can actually be inherent in a person and its obviously destructive.

4. Physical abuse: It’s quite common for couples to the argument here and there. But when that turns into a physical assault, the problem will worsen.
It’s important that emotions are controlled during arguments and physical abuse is never tolerated.

5. Cheating:A lot of couples break up when one of them has been unfaithful. Men and women cheat on their partner for a number of reasons, for example, when they are not satisfied in their relationship or because they are not loyal enough to their partners. Whatever the reason, never cheat in a relatonship

6. Miscommunication: When thoughts, feeling, and opinions are not communicated properly or when they are misunderstood by the other person, there will be problems.

The best way to avoid this type of problem is to be more expressive and seek or provide clarification when something seems to be misunderstood.

7. Lack of unity: When decisions are to be taken; there must be a mutual agreement. For instance, in deciding how many kids do to have.

8. Poor time management: Spend all your time in the office and never make time for your partner?

Everyone has the right to expect to spend quality time with their loved one, at least during the weekend. When that’s not fulfilled, problems must surely come.

9. Intimacy: When one person shows a lack of interest in sex, the other person starts feeling dejected.

10. Religion: A big reason for problems between couples, is one person trying to change the other; this is manifest when the two are in various religions and with the religious atmosphere in Nigeria, one member feels his/her religion should be respected more and thereafter.

With respect to backwardness and high religious hypocrisy; Northern Nigeria takes the glory. If not for the North, Nigeria would have been far developed and advanced but No!! Tribalism and religion has made the region the most useless since 1914. Even though 90% of political appointment go to them..
Shame on the big, wealthy northerners who see the evil of marrying a young teenager girl and yet support it.. shame on the Emirs who encourage it and still preach Islam.. I am not castigating Islam, but Nigerian Islam especially in the north encourage religion over quality education... A deep contrast to Islam in countries like UAE, Qatar, Turkey et.c

God help the poor innocent young girl..

CrimeUS Man Executed After Choosing Electric Chair Over Lethal Injection by Abjay97(op): 3:05pm On Dec 07, 2018
An inmate in the US state of Tennessee has been executed by electric chair after rejecting an option of lethal injection.

David Earl Miller, who spent 36 years on death row, was the latest of an increasing number of inmates attempting to avoid lethal injection following several botched executions.
Another Tennessee inmate, Edmund Zagorski, was electrocuted last month.
In the state of Tennessee Lethal injection is the state's main method of execution.
However, Tennessee inmates on death row whose crimes were committed before 1999 are allowed to choose electrocution instead.
Prior to Zagorski's execution, the last time the electric chair was used in the state was back in 2013.
Miller was pronounced dead at 19:25 local time on Thursday (01:25 GMT Friday) at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.

His last words "Beats being on death row."

Miller was found guilty of killing a 23-year-old mentally ill woman in 1981.

In court, both Miller and Zagorski had cited the August execution of Billy Ray Irick , who turned purple and took 20 minutes to die, AP reported.

Zagorski's execution was the second time the state's electric chair had been used since 1960.

Why is lethal injection controversial?

Miller, 61, and Zagorski, 63, argued that the midazolam-based lethal injection used by Tennessee would lead to a prolonged and painful death.

It follows a series of executions using different combinations of drug where prisoners have appeared to suffer. The US constitution bans cruel and unusual punishments.

In September a doctor told a court in Tennessee that Irick felt pain akin to torture during his execution , The Tennessean newspaper reported.

Dr David Lubarsky argued that the midazolam sedated Irick but did not prevent him from feeling the effects of the other two drugs injected as part of the execution.

Proponents of lethal injection argue that the process is painless.

Miller was also one of four death row inmates who brought a federal caseasking Tennessee to use a firing squad instead of either lethal injection or electrocution, the Tennessean reported.

Science/TechnologyTop Five Events That Almost Ended The World by Abjay97(op): 11:11pm On Dec 06, 2018
Back on August 6th, 1945, the atomic bomb was created capable of wiping a whole city. This deadly weapon has found its abode in the hands of several nations who have acquired it waiting for a possible third world war. It is a known fact that a doomsday clock has been created. This metaphorical clock has been maintained since 1947 by the members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Science and Security Board, is a symbol which represents the likelihood of a man-made global catastrophe. The clock represents an analogy for the threat of global nuclear war.
However as the struggle to keep the world from real damage continues, here are top ten facts involving times the world would have ended. Compiled by

1. Training Program Treated As Reality

In 1979, programmers at NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) nearly triggered World War III when they ran a regularly scheduled computer simulation of a Soviet attack. Unfortunately for them, the computer systems on which they ran the simulations were connected to the NORAD network, broadcasting live data of the fake attack to defense systems across the nation.
Jet fighters scrambled, those in the know said goodbye to their loved ones, and there was terror across the military. A big sigh of relief was likely breathed when the news broke that it was all a simulation.

2. When the Soviets almost launched a nuclear Armageddon in 1983:

The Cuban Missile Crisis where the United States and the Soviet Union was really bad when itcame to Cuba in 1962. A recently declassified American report revealed how the Soviets mistakenly thought a NATO nuclear training exercise was a cover for a real strike and started moving missiles to launch sites in Europe.
In September 1983, the Soviet nuclear early warning system reported that the United States had launched multiple intercontinental ballistic missiles toward the USSR.
As the alarms sounded, the computer systems reported that five missiles were on their way. Stanislav Petrov, the duty officer at the base, declared that the warnings were a false alarm and disregarded his orders. He stated that if an attack were to take place, hundreds of missiles would have been launched as opposed to five.
Luckily, he was right and Petrov prevented a Soviet retaliatory strike that night, possibly saving the human race in the process. If the attack was carried out, much of Europe and USA will be unhabitable. The false alarm was attributed to a rare alignment of sunlight on high-altitude clouds.

3. The Bubonic Plague:

Also known as the black plague, this plague was responsible for the tragic death of 25 million people; women and children included. The plague which ravaged Europe in the 1340s. This 14th century plague is reputed to have wiped about 60% of Europe's population. Thats quite a number
Spread by rats, this disease would have wiped the whole earth if it never took a break from spreading. It is however still around in Sub Saharan Africa and Madagascar. About 600 cases are reported each year. We do hope it never happens again though it can be treated now.

4. The Deadly Asteroid

This asteroid named "4581 Asclepius" that came within 645,000 kilometers (400,000 mi) of hitting Earth in March 1989. Sounds pretty far, right? Well, the world nearly ended because 4581 Asclepius passed through the exact position of Earth just six hours earlier.
If the asteroid succeded in it's hit; the explosion would have been roughly equivalent to that of a 600-megaton thermonuclear detonation. In comparison, the largest nuclear device ever actually detonated is a mere 50 megatons. The resulting mushroom cloud from this detonation was seven times the height of Mount Everest. Scary right?

5. The 2012 Solar Storm

The Mayans famously predicted that the world would come to an end in 2012. Though it never happened, it almost did. In July of 2012, the earth’s orbit caught a massive solar flare from the sun. Phew!, the earth was not in the path of the flare. It would have been a major catastrophic disaster! NASA discovered this information and soon realized just how bad it could have been. In fact, it has been reported that if this flare had come just one week earlier, the planet would have been sent back to the 17th century!
