ajaereogechi:Hi, are you in Georgian College already? |
Corpers wee!!! Bayelsa is a nice state...be prepared for a stressful 3weeks camp, but trust me you will enjoy the orientation camp. The most important thing is to bring enough money when coming to camp, but if you can adapt to any condition... well good for you. Camp food is nothing to write about. when i was in camp the only thing that takes me to the kitchen is when they serve bread, every other thing is crap. I took 20k to camp and it sustained me since i dwell more on maami market food. NB: Don't finish your money on roasted plaintain(bole) and fish. First week is usually stressful, then subsequent weeks would be fun. Then the most important part is the posting... Not everybody would be posted to Yenegoa, lot of corpers would be posted across water like Brass, Nembe, Southern Ijaw etc. If you can influence your posting good luck, but i would not advice anyone to pay for posting which is a 50/50 chance. If you are posted to Yenegoa, there is high standard of living in the capital, as every thing is on the high side. The truth is that Bayelsa is just a name . There is nothing spectacular about the state even the so called capital Yenegoa is nothing to write home about. All Bayelsa have is Hotels and bars so if drinking is your hobby welcome to Bayelsa. Finally guys...the state is going through hard times...most of the indigenes are government workers and the government has not paid the workers since last year December. So get ready to look for ppa yourself as most corpers will be rejected. ![]() At this point i say congratulation and welcome to Bayelsa. I'm a stream1 batchB 2015 Corp member currently serving in Bayelsa, Yenegoa |
SmithHumble50:Thanks bro...i don't have anybody there |
House, its been one month now that i filled formA at Ecobank oo. They have debited me but they said cbn has not approved it, that they did not see bid for it bla bla bla..imagine. I've got June deadline to pay my fees. I'm getting fed up |
olah23:yea thanks. The money is still in my acct. i can't get the telex copy till i get debit alert that it has been paid. |
tolfa:Thanks bro...but the ish is that the deadline for payment is June. This gives me more concern. |
good day y'all, i filled a form A form at Ecobank to pay my fees...its almost 3weeks nw and i've nt got a debit alert dat it has been paid whatsoever. I informed the bank, they said it has been approved that i should relax. I'm tired of this long waiting process. What do you guys suggest? |

Realist2:If the person is your friend, make sure the person tells you his/her email address and password so that you can check your dashboard yourself. But if the person doesnt want to provide you the email address and password, then it means the person must be available whenever you want to check ur dashboard to print your green card or call up letter (when it's time). Bottom line is that you dont have any problem. When its time to print your call up letter, after printing...the email doesnt matter. Lastly; endeavour to open an email (gmail preferably), |
Meeloreh:Are you a foreign trained graduate? If yes you have no problem...provided you uploaded all the required documents, your call up number will be uploaded to your dashboard soon. All you need to do is to login and keep checking your dashboad, mazimum of 5days, your call up number would be uploaded. What is left for you is to reprint your green card. |
when you travel back to your ppa, go to the bank and ask for your account number...else you are on your own. Same thing happened to me, i opened Ecobank and they did not send me my account number...i went there and requested for my account number and i was given my details. Simple! As regards if you will be paid December allawe; nysc have a payroll, so when its time for January clearance, make a complain that you haven't been paid for Dec |

Well i think its okay. I am 20yrs of age, most importantly i am a graduate...Bsc computer science also i am currently serving in Bayelsa state. though you get to feel isolated when people around you are older than you, but u will adapt In a nutshell its a good thing for both the child and the parent. I pray the child gets admission quick when its due time. |
Honestly i can relate to this well. I am currently in Bayelsa nysc camp. We wake up 4am we leave parade ground 7:30. Immediately after the SAED training which is 9am-11pm, lecture is to follow up and that is from 11-2pm. Evening parade is frm 3:30pm to 6pm. In Bayelsa here, most of corp members sleep during this lecture session . I don't sleep though ![]() |
Bayelsa, stream1 NYSC there is God oo ![]() |

I bow for dis type of arrangement o ![]() In this type of exam, especially when you haven't prepared well for the exam...since you have nothing to write, different thoughts would just be going through your mind your mind would be wandering |
dibiaolu:No need to worry...I had the same problem when I registered. Keep checking your dashboard and eventually before a week it would be uploaded. In my case I waited for one week before it was uploaded. If your call up number isn't there after a week please call Nysc support line or you mail them ASAP. Good luck! |
jaydeeinter:[quote author=jaydeeinter post=38029802]You don't need to be worried. I am also a foreign trained graduate, I registered last week Thursday and when I printed my green card...call up number wasn't there. I then logged on to the portal this Monday and my call up number has been uploaded. If you don't see your call up number in a week time,i suggest you contact Nysc support line or ur mail them ASAP |
