Before the construction is commenced, we did several Structural analysis of the frame structure using different design softwares. So as to determine the various loads and moments and share forces acting at the members. 2 Likes

Welcome to this thread. I am a Structural Engineer registered with COREN. I have First and Second degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering and more than 15 years experience building hundreds of structures in Nigeria. DESCRIPTION The building located in Lekki to be built in a swamp full of natural ground water. The building has a ground floor, a Gallery and a 2nd floor. All can sit between 3,000 and 5000 persons depending on the sit arrangement. I have called it a 3000 Seater but we designed for worst case scenario to carry more than 5000. Infact even if 10,000 persons have space to squeeze themselves into the building, the Structural strength can carry them all plus some more. 6 Likes

Most lands in Lagos especially Lekki are Government Acquisitions. To worsen it, 80% of lands in Lagos dont have ORDINARY C of O. That is a terrible thing. How can Lagos ever compete with other Megacities? C of O supposed to be as very easy to collect as anything! To worsen it, to get Registered Survey that is in Government database, it is very expensive. These bottlenecks will slow down development. I dont have energy to mention the army of Lagos agents who descend on new sites to snatch life out of a new project. Agberos and omoniles are even more civilised than them. 14 Likes |

Governor Zulum holding meeting with Cameroonian military as part of plans to protect the lives & properties of his Borno citizens. This man is a 5 Star Performer but he is supposed to be the President and not the Governor. Because Governors have no powers over the military or the police. It is unfortunate that the North gave Nigeria Buhari instead of someone like Zulum. Their 8 years opportunity is being squandered. From 2023, a Southerner will take over for another 8 years.
