Its high time we change the change. things are not getting any better. Enough for the APC, they have tried in killing our system of government UcheSecondus: ........says APC desire is to return 1984 law in 2018
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus says that he or other members of his party being maligned and harassed by despotic APC administration are not afraid of Nigeria law because they believe in the rule of law.
Prince Secondus said that the desire of this administration is to drag Nigeria back to dark period where they could jail people including foreigners indiscriminately without going through the process of the law but noted that such era cannot work again in a democracy.
Secondus through a statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi wondered why the Presidency is stressed up on an innocuous letter to the United Nation UN that merely stated the obvious happenings in the country regarding democratic developments.
"Instead of debunking the issues raised in the letter with empirical facts they now resort to blackmail and intimidation of arresting and docking PDP members.
"Let the Presidency tell the World what they have done in the past three years to deepen our democracy, is it the inconclusive elections rampant under their watch; is it the evasion of Judges Homes at midnight with deadly weapons or the evasion of parliament and abduction of the mace?
“PDP members are not afraid of facing the law because they believe in the rule of law, what they are resisting and wants the international community to note is the gradual return of 1984 draconian system in 2018.
“Anybody who watched a serving Senator being taken to court in an ambulance in a distance of over 200 kilometers in a frame up charges, would know that our democracy is in danger.
The PDP boss wondered why they did not list those things the administration is doing or has done to deepen our democracy instead of bemoaning about a harmless letter that just explained situations as it is.
"Can democracy flourish in an atmosphere where the Senate of a country is being vandalized and mace symbol of authority removed by hired hoodlums as security operatives that reports to the Presidency watch?
"Is democracy not threatened in a situation where serving legislators are being framed up and humiliated publicly by agents of the state just for having dissenting voice on issues?
Prince Secondus said that the PDP under took to alert the democratic community world over about the emerging signs because the party nurtured this democracy for 16 years and cannot afford a relapse too soon under a dictatorship.
"The history of our party is a history of democratic struggle, we know our contributions, we know the price we paid to be here, we cannot just seat and watch it destroyed in the name of fighting corruption while the same government is harbouring and giving cover to known corrupt people in the order room.
Prince Secondus finally charged Nigerians to stand up against the evolving signs against democracy by refusing to be intimidated.

Politics › Re: Who Is Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo? by abuabdul2: 1:11pm On May 01, 2018 |
a leader with a different Dankwambo42019: For a very long time, a lot of people have been curious to find out who Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo is. This public interest heightened especially after the young man’s stint as Nigeria’s number one accountant, the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF).
Even, while he served as the Accountant General of Gombe State, the love and affection, humility and friendly disposition of the youthful Dankwambo attracted much public interest in his person. In all the quiet conversations, which the Dankwambo persona elicits, some people were of the view that the true test of a man’s character could only unfurl when he is in a position of power and great influence.
And, as if nature was in a hurry to answer for the affable young man, in 2011, the subtle reservations of the skeptics were rebuffed in great relief, because Dankwambo became the Chief Executive of Gombe State, the Jewel of the Savannah! Yet, four years on the saddle as governor, there was nothing to repudiate the friendliness, humanity and empathy towards others, which defined his interpersonal relations.
As a result, in 2015 when the power of the people to enthrone and dethrone leaders was unleashed in the land, Governor Dankwambo received the massive endorsement of Gombe people, who reciprocated his genuine love and care by re-electing him for a second term in office.
So, with his emergence as the last man standing, the self-effacing and visionary leader had the people answer the skeptics that he is real and most importantly, that power does not change those who hold it in trust and see it as opportunity to serve God and humanity.
That Dankwambo is not vain has become a virtue of public knowledge. He is neither discriminatory nor dismissive of the poor or downtrodden. He demonstrates that charity and philanthropy are essential ingredients of good leadership.
Now more than ever before, the question, who is Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo is still being echoed in high crescendo in both low and high quarters, near and distant lands. Yet, answers are being thrown up by various organisations and communities.
When Governor Dankwambo donated his family house for a primary school, it was not only his own way of giving back, but also a genuine show of empathy towards the younger generation to get access to functional education.
As a leader, Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo’s heart strikes a rhythm with those of the people; he feels what they feel and does what he can to lift up every soul from despondency to hope and happiness.
Dankwambo is a technocrat in the true sense of the word. During his civil service career, he was a member, CBN Board of Directors; President/Chairman, Accountants-General and Auditors-General Forum of West Africa; Chairman, ECOWAS Audit Committee; Board Member, Extractive Industries Transparency International, etc. As Accountant-General of the Federation he is remembered for the introduction of many transparency-inspired reforms, such as Treasury Single Account, E-payment and Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS), Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) among others.
There is a big side to the enthralling Dankwambo persona. His temperament disposes him to resonant leadership style. Experts believe that a leader’s emotional states and actions affect how the people they lead will feel and perform. He displays a friendly mood all the time and this has sort of shown in the achievements he has recorded in Gombe despite very paltry fiscal accruals.
The first step he took after mounting the saddle as governor did much to showcase his temperament and primal leadership disposition. He retained almost all the aides of his predecessor and focused on the target of service for the people. This way, he built optimism and inspired on his aides to work as a team for the benefit of the people.
A resonant leader is often known by the level of his emotional state, because since everybody most often watches the leader, his disposition becomes contagious. And standing on the solid ground of honesty and integrity, his inner circle cannot help but reflect the charisma their leader exudes.
The fact that Dankwambo does not harbor hidden agenda in the exercise of public office helps to immunize him from what is called the CEO disease. Y and backstabbing.
As Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo turns 56 years, it is obvious that like good wine, he is getting better with age. Nigerians should do well to see this budding institution as a veritable source to learn some useful lessons in good leadership and inter-personal relations.
Since the true test of a leader is his influence, Dankwambo’s abiding good nature and goodwill towards all is no doubt refining leadership and citizenship across Nigeria.

a leader with a different sirlekzy: Nigerian lawyer, Festus Keyamo who was recently made the Director, Strategic Communication of the president’s campaign organization, in an interview on Channels TV on Sunday, said that 2019 election will be easier for javascript:void(0);President Buhari to win than even when he was elected in 2015.
Festus Keyamo who disclosed some ‘great’ feats President Buhari has achieved so far in his government like the second Niger bridge, also said it is 40% complete and has been expanded from a 2km to a 7km bridge. He also pointed out the railway tracks, which he said has been increased from single gage to standard gauge railway tracks. According to him the railway tracks between Lagos and Ibadan and Kano and Abuja is 80% complete.
“The 2019 election will be the easiest election for president Buhari despite what the nay sayers are saying, it will be the easier the president than 2015 and all the indices are there, because since that time the president had won over the heart of other sections of the country at that time that may not have voted for him, between then and now he has won their heart.”
Nigerians will see that despite all the negative talks here and there, that it will be the easiest election for the president more than that of 2015,” said the lawyer.
This is also coming after a group, known as One Destiny Organization, ODO, told newsmen that the appointment of Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, as spokesperson for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, BCO, would make President Muhammadu Buhari‘s re-election bid easier in the 2019 presidential election.
The National Coordinator of ODO, Ohiri O Lewis said in a statement yesterday, in Abuja, that the appointment of Keyamo was in recognition of his integrity, commitment and dedication to the cause of President Buhari’s re-election.
He said, “It is a well deserved appointment. Nigerians know that Festus Keyamo is a committed Buharist, an ardent supporter of the policies and programs of this administration and not a frivolous person.
“He has over time shown commitment in the president’s war on corruption, he has been steadfast in helping to drive home the new culture of transparency the president wants Nigerians to embrace through his numerous media interventions and has proven beyond any iota of doubt that he is ready to give his all for the re-election project of Mr President.”

i choose all of then. i prefer these guys than buhari. i give it more to Dankwambo Bede2u: In about 7 months time, it will be time for the largest opposition party in Nigeria to select their presidential flag bearer in a primary that we all hope will be devoid of rancor. PDP is a party we all love and hate equally. While they are guilty of so many things, its also important to note that the greatest progress Nigeria has made so far has been under them. Its therefore good for our democracy that this party should remain strong. Remember that political party and politicians are two different things. We believe that these four people would be vying for the party ticket. Who, in the interest of democracy would you prefer to see emerge as the Presidential nominee for 2019? Who would you want to see test his popularity against Muhammad Buhari, and probably kick him out? Click like for your preferred candidate only.
Ps. Don't tell us that PDP is dead. That's childish. If that's your opinion on the matter, then you should be in the tribal section of politics, not here with sane people. Don't also tell us that PDP is a party of thieves because that is immature. There is no party of thieves, just thieving politicians and you can find them more currently in the ruling APC than in today's PDP
