Politics › Re: Again, Rotimi Amaechi In The Spotlight by Abugab(m):
Once upon a time he was hailed and praised and now the same people are vilifying him.
Classical irony!
Let's see if the Wike of today won't suffer similar fate or worse?
Dude has started borrowing morning to tar roads and other infrastructures and I am sure those praise singers now will come out tomorrow and say he stole the money.
The problem of Nigeria is Nigerians with their double standards.
If he is corrupt, Wike should probe him. Simple as eating akara
Politics › Re: Nigerians Have Been Fooled Yet Again! - Etcetera by Abugab(m): 6:59am On Aug 22, 2015
Etcetera should slow down on his assumptions.
Buhari and Osinbanjo declared their assets to the Code of Conduct Beareu immediately when they were sworn in.
Last week the Code of Conduct Beareu came out to say they have not been able to verify the assets due to certain reasons.
If Etcetera has issues with the declaration with the Beareu it would have been better to verify before coming out to write junk.
I am sure he is the one in the one chance bus as that is the possible reason his music career has nosedived.
Declaring assets publicly as the constitution states is to declare them to the Code of Conduct Beareu which is the legal body entitled to handle assets declaration matters on behalf of the country and Nigerians. Maybe he wants Buhari and Osinbanjo to be declaring their assets door to door even with the volume of work these guys have been engrossed in.
Politics › Re: I Am Not Afraid Of Going To Jail – amaechi by Abugab(m): 10:47pm On Aug 21, 2015
Afterall jails are meant for huuans especially the thieves.
If you are found wanting jail should be the case and there is no need being afraid because you understand the laws of the land.
One fact I know is that no political thief will go unpunished whether in this dispensation or not.

Politics › Re: Why FG Suspended Comptroller General Of Immigration – Femi Adesina by Abugab(m):
Despite the deaths and the payment for recruitment into a government agency like the Immigration this dude still stayed as Comptroller General.
Even Abba Moro continued as a minister and nothing happened.
The immigration test was just an eye opener on how much our government really cared about us and our lives.
Some monies paid to families and phony jobs given to family members was praised as enough by some people who don't know what it takes to loose someone dear to them in avoidable circumstances.
Thank goodness the needful is being done even if coming late.
Career › Re: Did I Study The Wrong Course In School by Abugab(m): 8:13pm On Aug 21, 2015
Try Nigeria railway corporation and marine time.
Transport management can also put you in logistics and supply chain management.
Just try to do a short course in supply chain/logistics and that will make you more employable
Politics › Re: Buhari Must Probe All Corrupt APC Members by Abugab(m): 7:44pm On Aug 21, 2015
Suddenly everyone is screaming that apc and pdp and everyone must be probed.
What happened in the past when corruption was regarded as no stealing?
Does it mean we all just woke up from our slumber?
If someone has started the anti corruption war like Buhari has started why don't we support him and watch how things pan out in the next four years?
How come he is expected to probe everyone at the same time in just three months?
Isn't this asking for too much?
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.
However, I don't think we expect Buhari to start probing state governors and local government officials now when his focus is on federal level.
Politics › Re: Dont Waste Your Time Waiting For Buhari's Ministerial List. by Abugab(m):
Nobody is expecting a holy cabinet from Buhari except you.
Being a person of integrity doesn't mean such a person is flawless and invincible.
You guys are the ones muddling up the noble intentions of Buhari to have a cabinet that will and can serve.
Buhari is the president and has every right to chose who to work with and if you are interested in becoming the president 2019 is around the corner you can contest.
Let this man be for goodness sake.

Culture › Re: On The Ownership Of Lagos! by Abugab(m): 3:35pm On Aug 21, 2015
What really are the meanings of Eko, Idumota, oshodi...in Yoruba?
I learnt even the Oba of Benin had a representative in Lagos even till the 50s.
Seems the Edos are actually the founders of Lagos.
Can someone counter this one probably with a Yoruba version of the founding of Lagos?
This is a serious history class as the story is quite revealing.

Politics › Re: Army Recall Of Dismissed Solders: Buhari And APC Setting Dangerous Precedent by Abugab(m): 11:19am On Aug 21, 2015
Op, the recall is in good faith.
Why some soldiers were sent to fight insurgents with poor fire arms and low motivation by their Ogas when the situation could have been better, what do you expect?
Obeying command is the way of a soldier but the man giving the command has a role to play too and when that is lacking it is expected to see disrespect.
Too many things have been wrong with how the fight against insurgents have been carried out from the top army ranks to the rank and file. Investigating and allowing those who have genuine cases back in the army isn't a bad move.
Its not about APC or PDP but strictly a professional issue

Politics › Re: Will The Senate Approve Fowler’s Appointment Despite Alleged Fake Degree? by Abugab(m): 10:56am On Aug 21, 2015
Let the senate decide.
Some facts can't be thrown away;
He has genuine first degree and a possible Masters.
He was given honorary doctorate which was in recognition of his qualities.
He has an exemplary work record which couldn't have been as a result of the honorary doctorate degree but his knowledge and experience as a person.
Honorary doctorate degrees can be offered to anyone deemed fit for such recognition by any university and it is not a prerequisite for getting a job or appointment.

The focus should be on his work record and how he can take such a reputable organization like FIRS to higher grounds instead of wasting time and energy on some worthless honorary doctorate degree completely irrelevant to his new appointment.

Nsikann:
Guy this post by Abugab happens to be one of the best posts ever seen on this forum. I know of a woman that gave birth to a child when she was 60 yrs old in Abuja. If only you can reassure her of your love again and again and trust in the Lord with all your heart for a child. You will surely have kids. You don't need a miracle, kids will just come easily only if YOU TRUST IN THE LORD. If Sarah, Abraham's wife could give birth at the age of 90, I wonder which woman would not be able to bear kids. Don't divorce her or try having extra marital affairs. You will just worsen the situation. Wish you d best bro.
You are so so right.
Op should believe in God and his wife and all will be well

Been waiting for Fayose's response to Fayemi's interview.

Noise making leaders that we have unfortunately have in this country. This phase will soon go out of political life and more focused brethren take over governance as it is a serious matter.

Who's disputing if it's an academic or honorary doctorate degree? Whatever the degree is, is alleged to have been forged and not genuinely acquired. Should he retain his appointment if found to be fraudulently acquired? That's the question.
Where you told his appointment was based on his doctorate or his pedigree?
Politics › Re: Babatunde Fowler Has Fake Honorary Doctorate Degree - Sahara Reporters by Abugab(m): 8:30pm On Aug 20, 2015
ronald4lif:
One can only weep for the future of our country if we the youths reason like this. Here is a man who's allegedly discovered to have forged a doctorate degree appointed to head a commission and rather than demand for his dismissal we're making excuses.

The issue isn't whether the degree is relevant or was influential to his appointment but that he's a fraud. If truly the doctorate degree was fraudulently acquired how can we trust him with his new portfolio? Are you saying that we should overlook a crime as heinous as forgery just because he earned his other credentials genuinely?

In serious nations, this revelation, if true would cost him his new job and it doesn't only end there. He'd be banned from holding any public office and would have a criminal record that could render him unemployable for as much as 10years or forever.
It is an honorary doctorate degree and not an academic doctorate degree. Kindly find out the difference.
No one said forged doctorate degree.
Don't cry for the youths of the nation but yourself
Politics › Re: Buhari Won’t Probe Tinubu, Fashola Because Bode Wants Him To — APC by Abugab(m):
I subscribe to the position of APC, PMB won't probe Tinubu and Fashola because Bode wants him to.
He should have told his president when he was at the helm of affairs in PDP.
This man should retire from politics and go and be playing with his grandchildren as he earlier planned when he said he will go into exile when PMB becomes president. We are still waiting for him to go to that exile.

Always try to digest a message and not the source. Did it occur to you that SR might have done it homework and discovered that the said doctorary degree was supposedly bestowed on him after the university was blacklisted in 2005?

His Bachelors degree and any other degree earned is baseless and he should be relieve off his new appointment if we're truly a nation that want change. I trust you wouldn't want someone with a fraudulent degree head a strategic commission as the FIR or would you?
So with this your comment you have done your digestion? His other degrees are not relevant just because you want to ridicule him? Honorary doctorate is no academic doctorate. Its thus inconsequential to his appointment.
Politics › Re: Babatunde Fowler Has Fake Honorary Doctorate Degree - Sahara Reporters by Abugab(m): 7:21pm On Aug 20, 2015
Sahara reporters and their propaganda.
The man was only given an honorary doctorate degree and the degree could have been bestowed on him before the university had their crisis.
Did he get a fake first and second degrees from his alma mater?
Must these guys write on everything and everyone?
