TheSuperNerd: This Ibrahim Sa'id is quite a baller. Noticed him in the first game and included him among my other key players to watch in the U-17 thread. Very intelligent I must say. Found Ubani for that penalty in the first game despite being surrounded by five Hungarian players...
I say again, this Nigerian team can crack the Quarters and may even reach the semis and finals if they play true to their potentials.
One fact is THEY CAN SCORE GOALS. AND they seem to play much better when chasing a game and I think this team is a dangerous side in the final 20mins of a game. It was thesame come back Imama was doing with home based eagles until they couldn't come back against Togo |

tbaba1234: Rohr Waiting On QPR Eze To Decide On His International Future Before Releasing List For AFCON Qualifiers
QPR midfielder Ebere Eze is yet to provide an answer on if he want to commit his international future to Nigeria as requested by coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Eze had talks with Rohr last week with sources close to both of them confirming that they reached a positive conclusion but Eze is yet to say yes officially. Rohr is however willing to wait for him.
However the coach will name his squad this week and Eze has been given from now till Thursday to make up his mind or miss out on the squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively.
Rohr would have released the list since last week but he is keen to have Eze in the team for the games, hence his decision to delay it until he gets a confirmation from the 21 year old QPR midfielder who is regarded as one of the finest midfielders in the English Championship.
Last night he confirmed his rating with another assist despite his team losing 1-3 at home to Brentford in a Championship game played last night at their home ground.

Sunday Dare Walks Out On Pinnick, DikkoThe minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare on Monday walked out on top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation officials for coming late to a crucial meeting. The meeting which was scheduled to hold by 4pm at his MKO Abiola National Stadium office failed to take place. The president of NFF, Amaju Pinnick in company of his second vice president of the federation, Shehu Dikko, and the chairperson Nigeria Women’s League, Aisha Falode came 4:20pm for a meeting scheduled for 4:00pm at the minister’s office at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja. Our correspondent who witnessed the drama that ensured reported that Dare who was on his way out for another meeting was stopped by Pinnick who made frantic efforts to explain why he came late, but an obviously angry minister refused to return to his office for the meeting. Shortly after the minister and his entourage left the scene, a shell-shocked Pinnick was said to have retorted ‘we are just 10 minutes late, how can the minister leave us like that’? According to a reliable source, Dare had been tolerating the ‘overbearing nature’ of the NFF president who appeared to be trying to undermine his authority as the sports minister. However, the minister later met with the NFF officials and resolved to update FIFA on the progress Nigeria has made in the bid to host the 2020 Under-20 Women’s World Cup. NFF writes CAF, wants Super Eagles against Benin shifted to November 14 at 5pm
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced the match tickets for Saturday’s international friendly between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
Nigeria Football Federation has written CAF demanding that the AFCON 2021 qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Squirrels of Benin Republic scheduled for November 13 in Uyo be played on Thursday November 14.
The NFF is also requesting that CAF also approve 5pm kickoff instead of the 8 pm earlier fixed for the match, insisting that request for time change was over security concerns.
The federation in the letter to CAF is asking for the game to be played a day later than the original schedule to enable Super Eagles players who are mostly based in Europe enough traveling time after their weekend games.
“Our team will have only one day to train if the match holds on Wednesday November 13 since the players can only arrive Monday and Tuesday morning and will only be able to have one training session before the match day. But if we play the next day, we might have three training sessions,” an executive committee member of the NFF divulged.
“As for reason why we asked for kickoff change, this is necessitated by security concerns. If the match is played by 8 pm, it might stretch late into the night and will require more security attention.”
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has earlier decried the match schedule and kickoff. |

Osimhen Allays Injury Fears, Ready For Super Eagles Vs Benin, Lesotho
Lille forward Victor Osimhen has allayed fears he could miss Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Benin and Lesotho as a result of injury, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen sustained an abductor injury in Lille’s 3-O home win against Girondis Bordeaux on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was replaced by Loic Remy in 58th minute of the encounter.
The former Wolfsburg of Germany striker took to the social media to provide update on the injury.
”I’m fine, it’s just a minor injury issue, thanks brother,”Osimhen replied centre-back, Kenneth Omeruo who asked a question on the severity of the injury.
Osimhen has scored seven goals and recorded two assists in 11 league games for Lille this season.
The Super Eagles will host neighbours Benin on November 14 in their opening AFCON 2021 qualifying fixture and then face Lesotho in Maseru five days later.

Therefore he has been axed from the Nov games. All these noise here and there about paper work, let nff start the God damn thing and spare us this noise abeg. The earlier they start, the better. |
