They can't deny visa if you package your application very well and having paid your fees. Just prove to the vo your ties to Nigeria and that you intend to return after your studies.Remember, they are encouraging foreigners now to boost their economy. Cheers!
You better consider your age too, even though you said they need foreigners, there is a Korean Language school in Abj incase.
Those are things to consider to avoid wasting of money in this $$$ wahala

I want a name of school that that I can work on that won't demand for upfront, and would issue me 1-20 form after I finish with all the necessary registration..
Bro, you forget to ask for a personal assistant that will help write your proficiency test and represent you on the interview date..

Your type will only succeed in making embassies tighten laws for real prospective students by making them buy expensive dollar first b4 Visa will be granted.

You need a school that you will "use" to get visa and escape, why not keep that to yourself and do your home work besides the VO's will obviously outsmart your type.

Best of luck in your race

No it wasn't. Meat is generally not allowed irrespective of the POE.

To those coming to the US soon:

If you would have enough space in your luggage (be mindful of the weight. Every airline has specific maximum) , pending the time you would have to visit any African store here, you could arrange for some food stuff like garri, egusi, ogbonno, dry fish, dry vegetables. Get them in ziplocks or plastic bags, clearly labelled. That would last you for a considerable period before eating burger grin

P.S. Palm Oil (Epo pupa) is not allowed. It won't even pass MMIA.
Palm oil can pass if its freezed. ....

Visa delayed by window 5 by a female VO

VO Gdmrng and how did u get to know about this school?
ME from the rseult of random searches I conducted online, UB is made up of exceptional professional who are vast in various aspects of engoneering and management, also it has good faculty ratio. Further more, it is a good research institution with great laboratories.

VO did you write GRE
ME I wrote IELTS

VO what course did you do at undergraduate
ME I studied agricultural engineering

Im sorry I wont be able to approve ur visa
You rather be honest in your change of field, Most young people make mistakes in their early choice of study and always wish to make things right by diverting to the field they think they can do best because in Nigeria, we often don't consider our abilities, subjects we can do best at and we even neglect to use academic advisers even though most academic advisers don't function well,

And most of the time, parents do force the kids to study what they want the Kids to study without considering their child inabilities in the subject area, if for example, you're not good in Further Maths, you may not be successful in Engineering so you consider Health related courses or any other science field.

Thats why people go for second degrees or switch Majors in Postgraduate studies, I've seen a couple of goal oriented Americans that did this, I met a lady that studied Marketing, she later went for IT and is working in IT field, the other person studied Engineering and switched to ABS Nursing etc.

Your main point is to know the right words to use to prove your changes to the VO, if it sounds interesting to them, they let you go.

Hello guys,

I am not too happy but am sure all is well. I've been searching endlessly for schools that offer Masters Degree for HND students but all to no avail. I never realize how unfortunate HND certificate is compared to B.sc until now. I've been on this thread for a while, reading transcripts, suggestions, opinions etc. I thought i would have the same privilege to share my success stories like the rest. Its just so sad i can't visualize the dream coming true. I'm sorry am not being pessimistic, that's just how i feel right now. Congrats Ratchy, texrem etc.
Love this thread anyways....
Complete nuisance, my friend had HND and evaluated it with Evaluation agency b4 applying to schs, he never encountered any problem like dis. So evaluate urs asap

Hello there,am new on here,a friend introduced this forum to me nd I believe will get the right ans...have just been refuse a US visa to study on Tuesday nd am planning to reapply...below are how the interview went hoping to b corrected against my next interview:

Consular: what are u going to the US to do?
Me: am going to the US to study
Consular: is it masters?
yes
Consular:what's course?
masters in social science
Consular:why troy university?
after going through the internet for the best institution in research nd communicating with current student pursuing their masters in troy I was convinced that troy will gimme d best research facilities.moreover they gave me a sense of belonging by keep me updated about the school activities upon arrival even after been given admission unlike other schools I applied to
Consular:are u married
no
Consular:that means no kids
no kids at all
Consular:where are u working
I work with the federal government of Nigeria under thr federal ministry of Nigeria in one of the federal government girls colleges as a lecturer
Consular:who's sponsoring u
my father is sponsoring my education
Consular what does your father do?
his an admin manager at total Nigeria Ltd nd also has a logistic company of his own that produces sachet water and bottled water
Consular:what's his income?
I wouldn't know how much he earns but he gave me his bank statement to back my application.
after which I gave him the financial statement nd he went through it.And later looked at me after checking nd said his sorry he won't be able to gimme d visa nd gave an orange paper like that.Throughout the interview he didn't ask for any document from me only collected my I20 nd passport
pls would be so glad if u can kindly point out my fault here so as not to make d same mistake
In my opinion,
With the orange paper, they MAY do administrative review on your bank statement and documents because you don't even know or guess the range of money your Dad make yet you have his bank statement,

People with this kind of case are assumed that agents prepared documents for them but if you're sure of your docs and know they are legit, I dnt see any reason why you can't reapply but u need to be prepared and make some changes b4 reapplying.

I remember this dude very well I was the one that busted him when he wanted to send a proxy to renew visa.

The truth of the matter remains that he came here saying he has blah blah blah brothers filing for him but am wondering why he still has an unusual hard time "adjusting" from his present status

He is a classic reason of why I am a STAUNCH ANTAGONIST of people coming here to post balderdash stories in the name of transcript.

If you are not an attorney (apparently referring to Ojap and the rest) do not concoct, draft any letter as you do not know or have the means to verify the authenticity of his circumstance thereby putting yourself and your family's investment to send you overseas in a terrible cliffhanger

If you aid in drafting any letter( leave it to the attorneys mbok) you are technically a fraudulent agent, with an aim to misrepresent and defraud the US govt via visa scams.

Let him tell another story and we will shove it on the porch and wait for LAWMA to come and carry grin or bite him in the butt again, my problem with this country is they rarely deport people grin

The moderators will do fine by taking off this dude's email and phone number

Be warned not all that glitters is ruby

I dnt know the rest of your story or his but that guy is not an agent, he fall out of status, I spoke with him b4 now and even with the sis

True bro. The last time i didn't go up the upstair. This time, I met a Nigerian lady upstairs and she was more helpful. I went to get an emergency travel certificate (ETC) because my Nigerian passport is long expired, but she said I'd be ineligible for it as i can't leave Korea as a Nigerian, because i came into korea as an American and have to leave as one everytime.
I'll now have to apply for a Nigerian visa.
Great
