ComputersRe: Windows Vista In Hausa, Igbo And Yoruba by aceman(m): 9:28am On Jun 12, 2009
I think this localization of windows is a nice move. I lost my mid-priced samsung phone a few months ago, and I decided to buy a low-priced nokia replacement. While the nokia phone dosen't have all the bells and whistles of the samsung, i discover the nokia has language packs for youruba, igbo and hausa. I'm a yoruba man and honestly, I'm proud of my language, so naturally, i gave the yoruba settings a trial, and i confess, i was blown away. I love it, in fact, i've not switch back to english since then.

I feel its wonderful for technology to has a local face as much as possible. Local culture and language will always be cherished by people - i know many people fluent in english (spoken, writting, reading and thinking) that still prefer to read their Bibles in yoruba.

I've not installed the pack for Vista yet, but i will before the end of today, and while it may not be 100% accurate or perfect, I think we can still pat Microsoft in the back for a good job. By the way, I also enjoy Google in Yoruba
SportsRe: Which Super Eagles Team Is Your All-time Best? by aceman(m): 3:56pm On Dec 17, 2008
The '94 team is the best in my opinion. Even leading to the nations cup, they were invincible. I always pity our opponents. It was a sad day when they lost in the world cup. That team worked like a well oiled machine. However, I felt the initial successes inn the world cup got into their head and everyone wanted to outshine others. In fact, I felt Yekini was starved of balls he could have scored,

All in all, I doff my hat for the great '94 squad.

@twinstaiye
There is no way you can password the channel with DSTV decoder, I think you can do that with Strong Decoder. You may however password the channel with DSTV age restriction. Press menu on your remote to do all that, besides, DSTV always announce the procedure before starting shower hour
Thanks. I also found this link http://www.mnet.co.za/MNet/Global/DecoderFeatures.asp

Hi people.

I need a Toyota corona or any not so big toyota car. It may be new or tokunbo, automatic with factory fitted A/C. The price I'm looking at is between 850k - 1.2M. I can put down 50% of the price and I may need a facility for instrumental payment for the rest.
TravelRe: Why Do Nigerians At Home Always Beg Nigerians Abroad? by aceman(m): 1:14pm On Oct 04, 2007
Egbon Vic, u're da man jooooo!

As for Jargon, lets leave him in his FOOLS PARADISE and self deillusion.

But on another level, I have friends abroad, but i've never begged them for money. Infact, I send money to them to buy me things I prefer to buy abroad! Many of them are actually suffering and they just hang out there because they will be ashamed to come back home empty handed.
ProgrammingRe: Web Applications Are Not The Way Out by aceman(m): 4:33pm On Sep 21, 2007
I believe IG is right. Both types of apps have there place. This is especially the case here in Nigeria where infrastructure like LAN (not to talk of Internet) are not always affordable to most computer users. Many have PCs in there homes with no internet connection. Many business centers, offices and schools also lack internet access. So what will these people do? Run their offices from a cyber cafehuh huh
PoliticsRe: Exchange Of Blows Over Patricia Etteh by aceman(m): 8:52am On Sep 21, 2007
I think the woman should just GO, completely, out of the House of Reps. However, that appears not a "Nigerian" thing to do. Its a shame sha.
