Foreign Affairs / Re: Six Ministers Resign Amid Peru President’s Rolex Watches Probe by Acidosis(m): 10:21am On Apr 02
Sane country with a good level of decency.

Over here, a jobless tout and son of a Minister or President changes wristwatches like tissue paper. One of them nearly killed himself with a 80 million Naira power bike - a jobless son of a fraudster! For context, 99.5% of Nigerians will never see 80 million in their account throughout their life.

...but when sane people try to oppose this recklessness, their ronu minimum wage bandits will come out in their numbers to defend and attack.

Family / Re: This Is How To Dress For Your Husband, Even When You're Nursing A Baby by Acidosis(m): 8:23am On Apr 02
What's wrong with tying a wrapper? Wrappers look good on women, especially mature women. What's more irritating is seeing an old woman trying to dress like a 16-year-old, or a 65-year-old woman with wrinkles wearing bum shorts and crop tops.

Allow people to dress according to their age and circumstances rather than forcing everyone to look like they are suffering from a mid-life crisis.

For me measure of progress is different.
A toilet cleaner in Australia lives a much better life than the regional manager of Zenith bank in Nigeria.

Why regional manager though? Why you no kuku say CEO? It's a good thing that you found your way to a 'saner clime,' but this right here is a poor mindset.

Remember that, at the end of the day, you will NEVER truly be an Australian no matter your legal/paper status in the country.

Chenzee:
After years of training and loving your children, you discover they aren't yours.

What will you do?
Will you keep them?
Will you still love them as much as you did?
What happens to your wife?

Divorce is the only solution to paternity fraud. It's left for the children to seek their biological father, accept the 'father' they've known all their lives, or manage both.

More often than not, the kids will always attempt to know their biological father with or without your knowledge. What you want is somewhat irrelevant at the end of the day.

My home town ( I am from an igbo state ) will take any child that a woman gives birth to while still married to the man.If they are separated and the normal rites of returning the bride price has not been done, they will still claim that child.Making the real father loose out .

Mind you they are not claiming the child from a point of love but from a need to spite the woman and her lover.

Can only work when the actual father is dead, uneducated, unexposed, weak, and extremely poor.

You can't try this nonsense with a fairly educated man with #200k or less to spare.

That baby look like Mercy Chinwe. It’s not compulsory that first born babies must resemble their father!

People just pick one or two cases of resemblance and over-emphasise or generalise their opinion.

More than 80% of firstborns in the world do not look like their dad.

How do you know a man's first child? Does it include sperm men have wasted while philandering or masturbating? Does it also include the first "child" they didn't get to meet due to abortion??

Politics / Re: Fact Checking The Numbers: CBN's Announcement of $1.5B Foreign Exchange Inflow by Acidosis(m): 6:51pm On Mar 30
This is serious. As of last year and even 2-3 years ago, Nigeria was doing over $24 billion in 3-4 months, but Cardi B and his people want us to celebrate $1.5 billion in one month in 2024? Nigeria has really 'tanked'.

I pity people who rely on daily 'sponsored' media reports for investment decisions and financial planning.

Who no know no go know!

Which Reinhardt Bonkie are you talking about? All na arrangements, we took our niece suffering from down syndrome during his crusade in jos. After laying his hands on her, why wasn't she healed till she died?

Everything in life na arrangement, my brother. Even a surgical procedure na arrangement. Some make it out of the theatre while others don't. God arranges things the way he pleases. I'm 100% sure that not everyone who attended the programme I went to in Okene, Kogi state in 2003 received what they came for. God does what He pleases, when He pleases, how He pleases, and uses whom He pleases for reasons best known by Him. All na arrangements.

By the way, I'm sorry about the passing of your niece. Questioning God about why your niece had to die is akin to asking Reinhard Bonnke himself why he underwent femur surgery or why he passed away at the age of 70+. So, you see, he was merely an instrument in the hands of the ultimate arranger.

Your mom needs a man in her life. That's the only solution. If your dad is in the picture, talk to him and encourage him to be more engaging. And if he's not, you can try talking to her about remarriage or a relationship.

It's only going to get worse from here unless something changes really fast regarding her relationship status. You are her only child, right?

Business / Re: CBN Pegs Minimum Capital Base For Banks At ₦‎500 Billion by Acidosis(m): 7:15am On Mar 29
There has always been a non-directional causality between economic growth and banking activities in Nigeria, so this is definitely not a bad idea. It should propel the economy to the extent of our country's realities; implying that we must never be overly expectant given that the majority of individuals and small businesses in Nigeria now rely on fintechs registered as microfinance banks.

Omitting digital banks from this development also gives the impression that the focus is more on the inflow of FX $$$ (a very uncertain expectation) rather than on 'economic growth' itself. If economic growth is the concern, there is no justifiable reason under heavens why Cardi B should ignore digital banks/microfinance banks.

Family / Re: Will I Regret Not Having Children by Acidosis(m): 6:47pm On Mar 27
Bullfallo:
Not wanting to have a child isn’t a choice per say. I hate to put myself into pressure or do things just because others are doing it, my lifestyle has always be different from public opinion.

This justification is somewhat weak. It won't take you too far before you "fold."

I live a live of comfort. I am rich and comfortable but not for many mouths. Because I don’t want adjust resources from my lifestyle.

Another weak reason. The responsibility of child raising does not rest solely on the man. Even if you choose to be with a full-time housewife, it is still cheaper to train a child (financially) than marry a wife. Certainly more expensive to be with a girlfriend. So what are you afraid of, really?

You can't completely dissociate yourself from a norm so long as you remain a social being. There are many things you may not want to do to impress anyone, like dancing on tiktok, hosting a big wedding, etc. Others like attending a school, getting a job, or having kids are not necessarily meant to appease the public.

There are many justifiable reasons why a man may not want a biological child, though. But your reason has to be strong enough to avoid regrets.

Celebrities / Re: I Contemplated Bleaching After Mide Martin’s Insult – Habibat Jinad by Acidosis(m): 2:42pm On Mar 27
That's one thing about some women. They 'hate' dark skin but end up marrying someone with dark skin. Of all people, Mide shouldn't be the one insulting another woman over her skin colour. How can you marry an Afeez in his dark glory and then insult another woman for being dark? Total M A D N E S S.

And you, Habibat, has got a very low self-esteem. No use Mide as excuse. Contemplating bleaching over an insult from a woman with a dark-skin husband and dark-skin kids, only shows that you've never been proud of your skin colour.

In this life, no gree for anybody. If they come after your dark melanin skin, go after their washed-up light skin.

I don't like people because of money, maybe I would have been a trophy wife by now if that's what I'm after. What kind of money will a man have that'll even make me desperate sef when I'm not hungry myself.

The truth is most young men of these days have too much baggages, if they are not smoking, they drink and take drugs and other substances. The few good ones have insecurity issues and expect you to respond to them like a hookup girl (make I no bore you with stories) .
My happiness now is I've cleared my conscience and posterity shall not judge me bad

I got that, dear. Don't blame yourself over nothing. From what I've seen in your follow-up writing, you haven't done anything wrong.

I'm only concerned that a man who gives you money in that manner, for no 'known reason,' won't alter your perception about love relationships, as we see mainly in Nigeria. But on second thought, I've never known you to be poor or struggling. Certainly not you. I'm sorry if my previous post appeared judgmental.

He's from a rich home (son of former deputy sen presi the one that has the initials of I and M as his names) .
How am I exploiting him. My mom has spoken with him and he said he has no motive behind anything he gives me and I should not bother myself over anything. Guess what he did after his lengthy conversation with my mom, he sent a huge money to me again through his company

Ah, you had to return to this thread? Well, it's very thoughtful of him, though. He's trying to raise your standard so much that guys earning 500k after a 30-day hard labour and struggle will no longer appeal to you. grin

When a man gives you this kind of money for no reason, he's only making the men around you right now who are no match financially less appealing to you. He will continue until you begin to hate your boyfriend. When no other can match him, his intention will be revealed. For now, enjoy your life, baby girl.

By the way, why u never cash the money? Waiting for my approval? tongue grin

CBN as at yesterday had also reduced custom duty, so we expect a corresponding reduction in prices of imported goods, unless of course Nigerians do what they do best- which is continued exploitation and greed. Also, all level of government should roll up their sleeves and invest in critical sectors in their respective states.
