when we went for aptitude test I saw pasted list of asps&inspec for specialist while I didn't bother to look for constables who are specialists but am sure their list was pasted too. so is 500 per cadre for the specialists too. why should they cut it down? 500 each for both asps and inspec GD plus 7500 for constables GD that amount to 8500 while specialist 1500 across all cadres making 10,000 all together

It won't work like so if they insist it MUST be by LGA basis!

Pls this is not an info, I didn't get it anywhere rather than my personal thought. looking at the numbers allocated per cadre, I think 9 per LGA will only work for constables having got the highest number of all the cadres. there are 774 LGA in Nigeria and the total number of potential recruited officers for constables is 7500 so, if each LGA produces 9 officers then we have 6966 in total which means it can also be more than 9 so this is feasible but for ASPs and inspectors is not possible cos the number for both is 500 each therefore it will be per state while specialists is 1500 for their asp, inspc and cons which can not be possible using LGA basis too but per state. I stand to be corrected, its just my personal thought.

Nice breakdown bro, but i think they will need to cut down the number of constables, if they insist that rank and files MUST be by LGA basis!


Before now, i was thinking that the 1500 specialists to be recruited will be ASP's only! am i wrong?

You still did not name the site. These are a few pointers (I stand to be corrected) :-

1. Make sure they have a checkout option in your local currency for e.g Naira and not $, £ or € etc. Then you can be sure they use DCC. Some sites show you their version of currency conversion in your local currency for reference purposes. Doesn't always mean they offer that amount.

2. Lastly and most important, make sure the bank's card you intend to use allows DCC. E.g. If you use UBA for instance, the last I checked they allow checkout in DCC but at parallel (black) market rate and not what you saw during checkout.

1. On the same page he saw ₦208 @Amazon.com it was also stated there that Stanbic charges ₦295 to $

2. If ₦208 to $ Applies to every other websites, the poster wouldn't have specified Amazon.com, he/she whould have said the ₦208 to $ applies to every other website.

3. People use their card to purchase item of $1 in order to paste the charge here for others to be aware. I did it with my ECO nd UBA CARD (why didn't he do same). Or is it not someone else that discovered the Amazon and pasted it here?

4. The question he should have asked, is why did Stanbic Charge different rates between Amazon and other websites? (Assuming he tested it with his Card and was charged above ₦208 to $1)

Then he will know the meaning of DCC and how it works. (That's how people learn)
