TV/MoviesRe: Nigeria Bashed (Or Exposed?) Again On American TV - CSI On CBS by ada241: 2:48pm On Nov 05, 2010
why is this a topic - we are known all over the world for fraud so why are people getting upset. I'm sure we all have our views of various countries all over the world so why the excitement!!

if we lived in a society where thieves are not revered and the "big man" syndrome did not dominate then maybe things would be different. Abeg CSI is one of my favourite shows on earth and if people are that worried about what this show is saying then write a letter to CBS and complain. But I think we should clean up our backyard first.

I mean sorry to sound racist to the Asians on this forum but i personally do not like doing any kind of financial business with them cos in the UK they are just as dodgy as Nigerians - abeg chill.

Hello peoples! Its so funny i was having this same discussion with a friend that's an RN and she basically told me that the reason most doctors push for C sections is because they get more money from doing that procedure and you stay a bit longer in the hospital, which means even more money, its crazy. I would opt for Natural, God help me sha.

Have you guys heard of LIPO-Chuhhuh? Basically a lot of celebrities get this procedure done, its a C-section and Liposuction procedure. They take the baby out when its due and then do the Lipo right afterwards. I always wondered why their stomachs were so flat after birth, msccccccheeewwwww. Hollywood is terrible!
don't mind them - we women know this but some men think this is how normal women do their own as well KMT!!

i think a system where people pay for their healthcare directly like in the states and nigeria they push for C-section but i know its more expensive here in the UK so i think most c-sections on the NHS are emergency and probably only planned due to various complications identified b4 the due date

anyway just come back from hospital and i am having a c-section at 38 weeks - so please for those saying that those that have c-section are looking for the easiest route it is not so, baby is breech and will probably stay that way due to the massive fibroid blocking the birth passage so as much as i would love to push my little princess out i cannot and am quite upset about this.

apart from high blood pressure i have had a difficult pregnancy but still thank God that I have reached this far along after being told I had a 50% chance of losing the pregnancy and being diagnoised with sub - fertility end of last year. For me whatever is the safest method of getting this baby is what i will go with and if the experts are telling me a baby cannot come out of a woman in the breech position I will not question them.

anyway good day to u all and its nice and interesting to read people's stories and thoughts on this topic. I am trying hard not to worry as I know this stubborn baby wants to be born and God is in control

Contraction pain is like a bad period pain that makes one feel delirious like you are on another planet.

Re women screaming, they don't have to but do it out of fear of the unknown, hence reason Midwives always get pissed off with screamers and tell them to shush it and breath deeply instead. High levels of oxytocin, adrenaline and nonadrenaline and endorphins when you breath deeply are increased and this helps with fear and tension. And high level of prolactin heps forget the pain, hence the reason one should always listen to the Midwives. Whilst swimming, if you take a deep breath, your body will naturally float to the surface and with childbirth, same things happens, the more you breath deeply, the easier it is for the baby to ease itself gently down the birth canal.

Again aside from when a woman has to be cut open, tears mainly occur when the words of the midwife is not being heeded. When they say stop pushing, listen, and listen real good, otherwise you will tear yourself badly. And if is is a 4th degree tear, you might have to soak a towel and sit on it anytime you want to do a wee and this can last till 6 months shocked
now i'm scared. shocked sad cry cry

hmmmmmmm interesting topic.

I have about 6-7 weeks to go and i still haven't decided on how i will give birth, but i am glad that so far this topic has not been reduced to "i'm better than u cos i pushed and u took the easy option"

as for me I have no choice as to how this baby is going to be born as it has been presenting breech for the past 3 scans and only this week my consultant explained that its still breech probably due to fibroids.

Anyway for the person saying c-section is not painful could they please explain why women are not allowed to drive (i think) the first 2 weeks after having a section? a c- section is painful its just another kind of pain from a natural birth and plus it takes a lot longer to recover, and in some cases carries a greater risk.
