They can't thrive in the east. your so called ESN were busy killing and kidnapping our rich brothers and sisters. They did not harm a single Fulani. We are Fulani worst enemies right from the inception of Nigeria and they know that and not because one aru melu Igbo kanu said so |

Family › Re: His Mother In-law Has Turned To House Maid And Chief Chef In The House by Adaisback(f): 5:39am |
essentialone: What you’re seeing isn’t uncommon in Yoruba homes during *omugwo*, but the balance can slide into uncomfortable territory if it doesn’t shift after the omugwo period.
*Omugwo context:* In Yoruba culture, omugwo is when the wife’s mother comes to care for the new mother and baby, usually for 3 months. The core job is: care for the baby, feed the new mother well, help her recover, teach baby care. The mother-in-law cooking and serving is part of that - Yoruba mothers often believe a nursing woman shouldn’t stress with housework.
*Where it can look “off”:* The red flag here is the wife _never_ entering the kitchen, even on weekends, and the mother-in-law washing the husband’s and wife’s clothes too. Traditionally, omugwo isn’t meant to turn the mother-in-law into the permanent househelp. She’s there for the mother and baby. Laundry for the whole household + cooking for everyone + wife completely detached from the kitchen goes beyond normal omugwo.
*Two possible dynamics:* 1. *Cultural + exhaustion*: The new mum might be overwhelmed, relying heavily on mum, and it just became the pattern. Some Yoruba women also defer to their mum’s authority in the kitchen early postpartum. 2. *Role confusion*: If this continues months after omugwo ends, it can create imbalance and quiet resentment. The husband feeling “it’s strange too” is telling - he sees it but may not know how to address it without disrespecting his mother-in-law.
*What’s normal vs abnormal in Yoruba homes:* - Normal: MIL cooks, cares for baby, teaches daughter, does baby’s laundry, eases daughter back in gradually. - Abnormal red flag: MIL becomes the default wife for housework long-term, while the wife fully checks out of domestic roles and the husband goes along silently.
The fix is usually a gentle reset after omugwo: the daughter gradually takes back the kitchen, the MIL shifts to advisory + baby help only. If the wife never does, it breeds tension later between husband and wife, or husband and MIL. when did Omugwo became a Yoruba thing ? |

franchasofficia: Edo State Governor back then, Godwin Obaseki said the same thing, he said even in my own house, I am a PDP Governor but my daughter is an Obidient, we all have them in our house if we are honest to ourselves.
Governor Obaseki said this in 2022.
Benue state Governor Ortom said the same thing.
The problem with Nigeria is the old breeds, they are the ones using tribalism and religion to stop Nigeria from having a credible leadership that will change Nigeria for good.
My dear brothers and sisters, give Peter Obi a chance, that man wants to reposition Nigeria and write his name in the sands of time as Nigeria's Nelson Mandela and and Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore.
Pls I am on my kneels, I know Peter Obi very well, this man want to just put in two three policies that will transform Nigeria starting from complete electoral reforms that will make Nigerian elections free, fair and credible such that you ordinary Nigerian youths can become President, Governor, Senator, House of Reps, State House of Assembly members etc without needing to be a moneybag throwing billions of naira to buy supporters or bowing down to political godfathers and corrupt political structures that have held Nigeria down for decades.
Once Nigeria's electoral system is reformed to remove rigging or reduce rigging to less than 10%, you will see Nigerian elected leaders start working to deliver on their campaign promises knowing that only their good works can assure them of reelection and not their party's structure of criminality and the backing of political godfather. Bia Odogwu , what changed ? I thought you wanted Peter Obi to deputize that selfish man Atiku ? You have started seeing what I am seeing . I had a dream that Peter Obi won the presidency and backed by world powers too. I even saw the first step he took as a president |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Cannot Win Sokoto - Deji Adeyanju by Adaisback(f): 10:04pm On May 13 |
Eriokanmi: Not only sokoto. He can't get 10% of the votes he got there in 2023 next year. Let his blind supporters continue to count on the southern votes that will be swept off by Obi. Kwakwanso is much more popular in the north than any politician alive today. The governor of kano's victory in 2023 even when the apc was the ruling party was as a result of Kwakwanso's royalists in Kano, all of whom had now followed him to the NDC. So, the defection of the governor to the apc is immaterial
Kano votes alone will swallow whatever is coming from the south west for tinubu because the votes will be shared between obi and him. In 2023, his lies got some people and they gave him consolatory votes. Every eye don clear now.
My worry is the way other tribes will paint us after the election. Despite our exposure, integrity and sound education, a lot of us followed a bad path, pushing those attributes aside. They'd not be referring to tinubu anymore but yoruba for the failure. We used to speak the truth to government but it doesn't seem to matter anymore. See all our elders keeping quiet. Where's afenifere ? They must not shout marginalisation or stage any nonsense protest cos it won't work.
From all indications, any presidential candidate from any tribe other than yoruba can win presidency without us. All he needs do is play his card well with the north and push us aside. North has the population. I am even more worried for South East coz the Obi I know will work for all states and regions but South East will just have to wait coz during his tenure as governor , he developed every part of Anambra but only remembered Agulu his home town during his last years as governor |

Edipet: Please, my mother was diagnosed with arthritis. We were told that there is no cure for arthritis. An X-ray was carried out, and the doctor said the only solution for her is knee replacement surgery. I would like to know where this can be done in Nigeria and the success rate of the surgery.
It’s not only her knees that hurt; the pain spreads all over her legs. She has been taking pain relievers, but they only provide relief for a few minutes. It’s not that we have the money for the surgery, but we just want to try to contribute among our siblings because she calls us every day to complain about the pain.
Please, is there any alternative treatment to relieve her condition apart from surgery? no try am o. My grandma is using walking sticks with weak legs because of the one she did in India. Biko my dear, go and get stem cells. Original stem cells will cure it within a week or two. Look for original stem cell. And if you are in South West, better, get stem cell from miracell company , it's the best. |

the only reason why I didn't bother to open that list is that I already knew that there is no way Tinubu will not rope igbos in it. If he can accuse a screwdriver seller from Onitsha for letting the world know about the genocide in Nigeria, then there is no way he won't rope Igbo in this. "We insisted that there would be no ceasefire in Lebanon and we succeeded – now we are going all out against Hezbollah with even bigger surprises in store.
Regarding Iran, it is important to emphasize that no commitment was given to end the war; our forces are prepared for its immediate renewal, with an emphasis on severe damage to energy infrastructure – the Iranians' weak spot, which they fear greatly.
The American forces will remain in the area until further notice. The enriched uranium will be taken out "for better or worse," this is the focus of the negotiations. ISRAEL is STRONGER than ever and Iran is weaker than ever." Amen and Amen, a win for Israel is a win for the world |

bigpicture001: I forgot that in the course of our relationship I told her two jokes that is serious, about the emotional effcet both Beyonce songs "halo" and "poision" usually have on me..... because she wanders why I play them frequently on my play list..
Last weekend while spending the weekend with me, we got into a repeating argument that broke our flow down ND it was at noon, so I went out, watched football and came back at night... I didn't bother eating and went straight to bed..
I know I am wounding her with such attitude, but I wanted her to beg me... Instead of begging me, this lady pull off a big surprise on me..
She connected the MP3 with her fone and brought in by the door of the room where I was it was like say 9:30 pm. it was dark , raining and cold.. she put on just a lingerie, switch on and played "halo"..
She just didn't play Halo, sh stood by the door way, I was on the bed, wrapped in the duve and peeping at her.. with a teary eyes, sh gave me the best ever halo performance I have ever seen.. it was so so romantic and touching . This makes it perfect because sh has a tenor high pitch voice which matched Beyonce's,
She just stood there in a flood of tears and loud on the song both with her and the MP3.. the whole lyrics got into my head , I fealt tears roll down my eyes....I couldn't help but stand up ,walk to her and held her hand....ND tried walking her to bed, but she came slowly with the loud lyrics on her tenor voice, I joined her in the songs ND we both cried nd gave beyonce a proud performance.....
Well, what happened there after they say the rest is history!
U guyz should try download and listen to that song, it has a spirit in it.. same as poison, both by Beyonce I hope dear that you are not listening to all these chewing gum boys commenting on your posts ? Do not listen to them , many of them dey cry and beg their girlfriends, some dey leak their girlfriends yansh but will come online to form red pillers. Your girlfriend did great and it's a beautiful way to apologize, this is the kind of girl that will spark romance and life into your relationship. Imagine her learning that song just to please you. That's a big plus . Keep her for life or pass her to my brother biko |
