Greetings on average how long does it take for a case transfer between embassies? Also will they extended the visa ? To accommodate the time it takes to transfer. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer our questions

My k1 Visa was approved Dec 29 ,2017 , but sent to the wrong Embassy on Feb 1, 2018 which was Accra Ghana because my fiancee does not have a permanent resident there only a valid visa, (he was born in Nigeria) today we sent a request to LAGOS email, hoping it to be transferred will they extend our visa expiration date? it expires 4/28 , On average how long does a case transfer takes for a K1 visa? from Embassy within the same country, secondly how will I obtain the new case number? the case shows still in ACC# will it be sent to us or should We keep emailing to find out? we are just wanting to know a time-frame to make travel arrangement.. We just want a concrete timeframe.... thank you so much for all you Do.... Lastly we have heard rumors it can take 4 months is this truth? Our NOA2 again was Dec 29 so we just obtained a case number, although it was incorrect. I appreciate you taking the time to answer from a fellow american petitioner God bless you all!

Just a FYI Lagos did respond saying they will forward to the appropriate unit, should I contact Accra to follow up or will Lagos do the leg work to get them notified it will be approved for request..we are very new to this an just want things to be clear
