That's good to know. That such an authoritative voice as that of the American Author's Guild would openly commend the Commission's sensitization programmes on Copyright is heart warming. It is commendable also that the Commission is exposing these young minds to the dangers of Intellectual Property theft and gains of identifying and nurturing creative talents early in life which, i believe, will go a long way in tackling issues of plagiarism and examination malpractices and also in building worthy leaders of our tomorrow. Well done NCC. More powers to your elbow.

The trend is really worrisome. I feel for the artistes and creators generally, especially the upcoming ones considering that the end of this seems not to be in sight in view of the country's harsh economic realities. But this certainly shouldnt continue.Government must find a way of stepping in to encourage these artistes, financially i mean, and supporting the industry more. There should of course be more proactive sensitization and public education by the regulating authorities and stakeholders alike. God help us.
