trollx: So fake!!! Absolute fake!!! I really do not know what's wrong with Avits. They're collecting visa fee without releasing viable dates. Everyone is stuck in picking appointment dates. Damnit!!! The dates showing July 2025 are not working. The real ones which are working, starts from November 2025. So one can either take the risk of waiting (which may not work) or move ahead to choose the November 2025. The only thing is that while one is waiting, others are choosing the next available dates (From Nov 2025). This is only for those using the Lagos consulate |

stacey1994: Hello everyone
Please my mum had an interview waiver appointment on the old portal for December 2024. However, we did not print the letter before migration to this new system. After she was migrated in October, we observed the appointment had been changed to August 2024 which she had already missed and it appears the appointment was a physical one at the consulate.
Does anyone know how we can reschedule to an IW interview. When I try to reschedule, it only shows dates for next year and even when I select these dates, it keeps giving an error message.
I would really appreciate help here. Actually, everyone (whether for drop box renewal or regular appointment) schedules the appointment, following the same pattern. But whether it would eventually be an IW, is a function of the info provided, in the course of scheduling the appointment. So while scheduling, if your mom is qualifies for an IW, she would receive an IW confirmation letter on her profile. However, if doesn't receive one, then she may just proceed with the regualr one. |

Afeezakin: Good evening, I have submitted my ds160 form and I'm trying to add my wife to it . Please help me out I actually experienced a similar situation where I tried to renew for two elderly couples. I had to create two new emails for them. These new emails ddn't receive the activation mails. So whenever I tried to sign in, is showed USER NOT ACTIVE. So here is how I managed to resolve it. I called the call centre but the couldnt resolve it. I had to create a new email and I waited for the activation link to be sent. I ddn't recieve after 3 days. I had to create another new email account and created a new profile in the name of each of the applicant on the portal and luckily, I was able to receive the activation link and was able to proceed with the scheduling process. Kindly follow the above process and it will surely work. But should you encounter any challenge in the process, do not hesitate to drop me a whatsapp message on 0811 385 7108 All the best

littlebuddy: Please can someone help me. I have just put in my us visa renewal and fixed an appointment on the Avits portal. However. I didn't mot receive an interview waiver letter. rather I was asked to book a regular appointment. I tried to go back to see if Iade any error whilst answering the Interview waiver questions but the portal was not allowing me to go back so I went ahead and booked an application with the hope that I will get the IW confirmation Alas what I got is a date in May 2025 for a physical interview.
Please how do I resolve this as I qualified for IW having renewed my visa several times. Pls help me. I have created tickets to complain but no resolution yet. What do I do pls Both those on regular interview and those eligible for IW do apply on the same portal and follow the same scheduling pattern on the portal. However, qualification for an IW is based on the information provided in the course of scheduling the appointment. Last week, I did appointment for two elderly couple who qualified for drop box but they didn't get the IW. I think this new platform is kinda challenging to navigate especially for the first users. But with time, I believe everyone would get used to it, just like the previous one. So you may need to raise a ticket and explain to them. I spoke with one of the call centre agents and she said the decision is at the discretion of the counsular officer and qualification for IW depends on alot of factors on the portal; even while the applicant is eligible for it |

After the submission, I was called about 3 days later, about my knowledge of the position I applied for for, which was validated after a few questions. Later I received a mail about a test for the next day,but would be taking a 20min briefing from the HR advisor through zoom.
After that,I went on for the online test which was in two phases; English Language and Technical test. Each taking 15mins or so.
At the ended of the test,I was sent a congratulatory mail to proceed to the next phase which was a phone interview. This was scheduled for the next day. When the next day came, the interview was conducted. Different questions were asked about my experience, aspiration and about my knowledge of the job with some technical questions thrown at me. At the end of that,I was told there was going to be a speaking test and the interviewer displayed a short story and I was asked to read it out. So that marked the end of that.
A day after the last interview,I was sent another mail, inviting me for an on-site assessment scheduled for this new week at their office.
So this has been the journey so far. For those yet to get to this stage I wish everyone goodluck as you move through the different stages. Please don't forget to put me in your prayers too as I navigate through the whole process. May God see us all through in Jesus name. |

Nickysazz: Guys you can clearly see both mails are the same. Why are you filling the form twice? One has the link not properly highlighted, and the later a correction. Even the Verification codes are the same.....me i dont understand you guys again! Please do not blame anyone here for filling it twice. They sent two mails, one entered the inbox and the other hit the spam folder. One had a subject different from the other. One had a masked link and the other ddnt have a masked link. The right thing to do was the sender to have instructed that the form be filled once or recipients should ignore a previously sent one. But unfortunately he/she didn't. We are not going to accept responsibility for the sender's error. Only someone with intermediate IT knowledge will be able to tell if both forms report to the same back end receiver and to be on the safer side, it pays to be on both sides. You don't want to see other people receive credit alert and not to see yours and the instance of "Had I know" creeps in. So please don't blame anyone who filled it twice; the sender failed to put any instruction to that effect. The bulk stops there; on their table and not here. |

We shouldn't forget that the fireworks for next year's general elections is lit and thus governance will be slow while politicking takes centre stage. So, we must jointly advance this cause on time. Over 1000 interviewees can jointly and civily make this happen. Your little effort will make the difference. Thanks This is a statement of fact. We are the only ones that can make it work for us. All efforts should be channeled towards one goal;the prompt release of the list. At this period, every effort counts, no matter how small it is. |

The Mail will dwell on these points 1) The commission must not renege on the promises made by the management to sustain this scheme that has given hope to academic oriented Niger Deltans 2) A Lot of resources was expended on logistics/security both by the commission and over 2000 applicants who are also in dismay at the cost of lost admissions,plans,jobs/businesses due to this delay in awards 3) it will amount to total waste of scarce resources if the list isn't release and successful scholars mobilized. 4) Having achieved the payment of owed scholars then all is set for new awards to be done on time to mitigate the problem of logistics for departure that has plagued the scheme. new admissions can be sought on time for award Very true, there is no moral sense in organising a new one. However,a bigger truth is that these guys do not care how much has been sunk into it or the gravity of the inconvenience they caused applicants. After all its government money. They dont really care about us. They wouldn't mind organising a fresh one with the mind that they are starting afresh. Only in Nigeria! |

Mayflowa: Actually I am 2014 scholar but had my letter changed to 2015 Hello Mayflowa, Do you mean you applied in 2014 but it was issued to you in 2015? Your answer is very important as we can use it to anticipate what the NDDC is having up its sleeves in terms of the 2017 batch. We could see a situation where ; (1) They might skip that of 2018 and do 2017. (2) They could do away with 2017 and go on to organise fresh one for 2018. (3) They could do a carry over of 2017, organise 2018 and then issue award letters to both as 2018. (4) Thrash the 2017 list, domesticate the program for subsequent scholarships. No more foreign but local scholarship program. (5). There is the likelyhood of issuing 2017 in 2018, tag it as 2017 and then proceed to organise 2018 later in the year. (6). Issue 2017 award letter now and then domesticate subsequent programs. (7) They could fix the bug now, and continue with the program smoothly. This is one of the most unlikely, as historically, they have had road bumps of delays and disappointments. As time is gradually ticking away for the 2017 batch, and by permutation, any of the above is a possibility. |

irahub: Lol. That is the typical mentality I had expected you and I to have. Because it is in our nature. Look at your words, " bet you, they won't do this with the ND militants because they are very much aware of the repercussions". Yeah! That is the only language that is understood in the animal world. Courts and justice system are not needed as long as you have wild animals as pawns such as fulani herdsmen. Kill!, fight!, destroy!, blood!, disease and guns. Any other thing?
You mentioned something about "hackers, social media influencers (sic) or intellectuals", I just laugh in Latin. What will those people do. Do you use intellectuals to talk to a lion in a jungle and convince the lion not to eat you up. Beside, who are the hackers? Where were they trained? What power will they use to keep their system on in order to "hack" in Nigeria. Do you think that going to one of those institutions of kinsmen we call Universities and study computer science for 4 years on a blackboard will make you become a hacker or intellectual. You are just a joker. No wonder we are still where we are as a nation. For as a nation is, so are its people. We are the problems Nigeria is facing. Obviously, some of us are comfortable with the status quo and the reasons are not far fetched. |

shophut: Though i quite agree with you @irahub, our major problem is selfishness. Many scholars here thought that because they have Mr A or B at the commission, there was absolute no point to work with the general group. Well i discovered this long ago, if you havent. By February, a fresh application will be issued by the commission. The status quo will be sustained. There's absolutely nothing our rantings here will do. The only way forward is for us to come together as a group and fight no matter where anyone is. The time is now. Right! We have all what it takes to correct the norm and to chart a pathway for subsequent scholarship programs. If we fail to act now, the status quo continues, with the tendency of extending into that of future scholars. The ball is in our court. |

irahub: Well, I like your courage and your conviction of using intellectual prowess against a supposedly beast of a people in human skin. Even though I am a scholar, I have learnt to zero my mind and accept our fate. Don't ever think we can get organized to effect any meaningful pressure - evidence have shown that black people are incapable of sustaining any course. I will also invite you to delve into our history and precedence such that we will not kill ourselves with high BP. We as black people have, from the time of history shown tendencies that greatly suggest of lower quality of human specie across all facets of human endeavor. Has it not surprised you that we cannot pinpoint any achievement made as black people without the help of white man. We were unable to build any ship, no car, no civilization, no written language and of course no way of rendering historical events to generations. Since 1960s, the little sanity that was left in us has dwindlled as we continually head towards our precolonial era. Our histories are categorized by barbaric acts among ethnic groups, lack of planning and strategy for future generation, non existent innovation and high migratory instinct. Has it not surprised you that black people are the only race that can be easily enslaved. After we sold our own to the Americas in trans Atlantic slave trade and our own people were yoked for close to 400 years, are you still surprised that we are about to witness such again under our own nose. We are now being enslaved in Libya and once again I have seen black people being whipped in ships. If at all we are human enough, we will all spill our blood as a people to make sure slavery does not return. But here we are, it is happening in our own eyes. Fulani herdmen are on the rampage reminiscent of a typical jungle where the stronger or most violent animal like the lion dominates and kills the other. Yet the lion cannot plan for the future even after domination. Have you ever seen any garki that Hausa people are, no matter where It is located - they take their level in terms of dirtiness. I want to let you know that a lot of things boils down to IQ. The choir as people make and they way problems are solved related to IQ. A low IQ person in addition to muscular development is a perfect recipe for violence which we have seen around us on daily basis. I can write on and on. In summary, just know that what we are seeing with NDDC is typical of us and our nature. It is more like animals fighting animals. If you can win, you fight one. Don't ever think we can be organized in any way to have a sustained protest in a civilized manner. It will never work because in general majority of us are of low IQ and only think of what to eat today with no future plan. However, what can work is something like destroying nddc offices or attacking Nsima or maybe holding a 10 man protest while the government will tell you we are on top of the situation. That is our nature. We can only argue but we cannot change nature or have a valid alternative proof. Even if you build a monkey a house, a road and put it there to fend for himself, the monkey will always behave like one What makes ours different is that we all graduates. We are not the a mixture of impurities like crude oil, but a band of mentally refined people like fuel and can burn anything intellectually when we hold our hands together. Again, the NDDC and the fed govt are taking advantage of us because we allowed them to. I bet you, they won't do this with the ND militants because they are very much aware of the repercussions. In the new world order, being a militant may not necessarily carrying arms and ammunitions. Is someone telling us that we don't have hackers, social media influencers or intellectuals who can use our expertise to force them to act? What then are we clamoring for? |

Like I said earlier, the power is within us to effect the change. If we don't pull our resources together to force them to act, they won't.
We are scholars; we are all graduates and all of them put together is no match for a 10th of us by mental and intellectual valuation. So why allow ignorance to govern knowledge?
We need to act, and there is no better time to do that than now! |

they could notl inform those who were invited for the interview that the process has been terminated; Dragnet was never involved in interview, they only screened and shortlisted candidates.

Anyways, na naija we de anything fit happen, pls how did you get the information (your source) ?
You could throw more light.
Cheers! The jobs openings which dragnet had earlier advertised for which tests were conducted by same dragnet, were later re-advertised on the MTN website and new tests were conducted for new applicants who applied such roles. This is an insider information and a confirmed one. The source is also an internal candidate for one of the posted jobs. Dragnet knows this and so is MTN. My concern is why keep these applicants who had gone for interviews waiting all this while without updating them of the new changes? |

toluene1234: It's unfortunate sha. However I haven't heard anyone who has received offer letter. Probably MTN wants them to resume next year January which means anything can still happen before the end of the year.
But is it possible for MTN to end the process without communication to interviewees? The whole dragnet recruitment process was cancelled. A fresh one was conducted. Its rather unfortunate that as big as MTN, a gold-star IIP holder, they could notl inform those who were invited for the interview that the process has been terminated; kept them waiting hopelessly without any feedback or information. Such a shame. |
