Can someone please remind this fool that a black man is the president of USA, and that there is no way a white man can evolve to be a black man but the other way around. Funny enough, the world claims scientifically with proofs that the origin of humans started in Africa, but because of the same reason you typed this post you think the origin of man started from the middle East. This is why I believe the bible can help humanity more if it was remained as a tree.
Christianity Etc5 Things You Might Miss In Heaven by Addietunes(op): 6:09pm On Sep 29, 2015
Overview of Heaven

According to Christianity and Islam, people are supposed to believe in a god and live in a certain way in order to gain immortality in heaven. And in case that’s not incentive enough, it’s also to avoid an eternity being tortured in hell. In this case, I will not be talking about the Islamic concept of heaven, as there are many verses in both the Koran and Hadith that have references to paradise, its structure, what you eat, who you spend time with, even how old you will be. There is also a river of wine, but no mention of bacon or smoked pork chops.. The same goes for Hinduism, as it’s not a final place, just a weigh station on the rollercoaster of reincarnation. No paradise exists in Buddhism, although the Pure Land sect has something like one. Traditional Judaism didn’t have one, although some select prophets were taken up to be with YHWH, whose throne room was filled with multi-faced, multi-winged angels whose sole duty is to praise YHWH, who, let’s be real here, was a pretty insecure guy. It must be due to the fact that he never could take care of those *@#%& Philistines next door. Modern Jews usually acknowledge a paradise prepared for the “chosen” people.

Christian Heaven

So what is heaven to Christians, and more importantly what do you do there?

Dante in his “Divine Comedy” has heaven being a place of light and music. But Dante found much more descriptive creativity in his description of hell and its denizens. Frankly I find the “Paradisio” pretty boring.

So what do Christians expect in paradise? Well, maybe we can start with what makes people happy in life, and see if those things are going to available in heaven.

1. Sex

Okay, I know that we don’t spend much time actually having sex, but we do think about it an awful lot. It’s probably the world’s single largest pleasurable activity. But if you talk to American Christians, most don’t think there will be any sex going on in the fields of paradise. It’s a pity, as the sex in heaven could be wonderful, with no fear of pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease. You wouldn’t need lubricants or sex aids, and Viagra would be totally unnecessary. Heaven could be one magnificent orgy with multiple orgasms for all. Maybe I should start a religion on this basis? But ever since St. Augustine got his hands on Christianity, sex got a bad reputation in most Christian circles, and it’s supposed to be for procreation and not recreation. I suppose it was inevitable, as the 1st century Jews had a lot of sexual hang-ups too. So, probably no sex in a Christian heaven. No free love, no amorous nights with new partners, no dirty weekends, and no masturbation while watching internet porn. Most people I’ve talked to, as well as standard Catholic doctrine, said you won’t desire sex anymore, as you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Can that possibly be better than an orgasm?

2. Food & Drink & Smoking & Drugs

Gluttony is a national pastime for Americans, with over 1/3 of them being obese by some counts. One of the popular seven deadly sins, which are not actually mentioned in the Bible, were invented by the Catholic Church. Will we need to eat in heaven? And if we do, then will we be shitting and pissing too? Again, most people I’ve talked to said that you won’t need to eat anymore. This may be a question of whether you are in heaven as a reanimated corpse, as most Christian texts seem to assume, or as some sort of spirit being. In any event, no one thinks that urination and defecation is a likely activity, so that to me means no eating or drinking. All those gourmet cooking classes you took in life will be wasted in heaven.

3. Sports & Entertainment

Most people today spend a lot of their time being entertained by others. It can be highbrow theatre or opera, or cat videos on YouTube and Anime comic books. But will this be available in heaven? And if so, who is going to be making it? Remember, watching a sports game is entertainment for the spectators, but it’s work for the participants. Will they want to work in heaven, or would they just want to relax? Also, most sports personalities don’t die in their prime, they die at an older age, when they are not as athletic as in their youth.
This comes back to the issue of what age you will be in heaven. So either there is no sports or entertainment, or there is but its being done by a bunch of old people (the athletes and actors at the age when they died), or its being done by a bunch of young people if we get to choose our age – but if you can’t have sex, and you have no pain or disease, then why be young?

Also, many sports have an element of violence in them, the same with today’s popular action and horror movies. Will you be able to crush your opponent in American football, or will you just be turning the other cheek once in heaven? How much fun would a James Bond movie be with no chase scenes, no shoot outs, and no one in sexy outfits? Maybe the angels play baseball when they are not on guardian angel duty? Anyway, it doesn’t look like there are TV or sports in heaven, except perhaps for the gentlemanly pastimes of non-violent English cricket, ping pong, shuffleboard, or croquet on the clouds? Snore……

4. Pets

People love their pets. Cats, dogs, horses, pythons, parakeets, hamsters, goldfish, rabbits, elephants. I live in Thailand, so elephants are a serious concern. Will we be reunited with them in heaven and enjoy their company? Will they want us? Maybe heaven for dogs is a large city with fire hydrants every ten feet? Maybe paradise for cats is a soft cushion in the sunshine, with a dish full of fresh tuna. Maybe horses just want to run free and never have to tolerate a saddle again.

But in any case, sadly, most Christian sects do not believe that animals have souls. Lots of people believe they do, but as a matter of doctrine, this is not the case. Animals don’t get baptized, and they don’t take communion, and they don’t have the capacity to accept Jesus as their savior – and in any event they are not tainted with original sin. There is no description of animals in heaven, just god and his throne and angels praising him. So, probably no pets to stroke or cuddle, no horseback riding, no duck hunting, no fox hunts, and no cat litter boxes to clean.

5. Secular Music

So what is left to do in heaven that we normally enjoy here on Earth? Reading books? Singing and praising god? I don’t think that most current rap tunes will make it to heaven, unless heaven is interested in gang bangers, capping cops and keeping control of your bitches and hoes. I am a product of the 70s. Will I never again enjoy Donna Summer belting out “Love to Love You Baby” or “Hot Stuff”? No more Pat Benatar pleading to “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”? And of course, Joan Jett and Kiss probably only play in hell. So what’s left? Simon & Garfunkel for eternity? Endless Justin Bieber? Pat Boone and elevator music ever present in the background? Will it be endless karaoke? Locked forever in a room with people unable to carry a tune? Maybe everyone will be modified to be able to sing like Paul McCartney? Please don’t tell me it will be endless hymns to the glory of god…
Endless Eternity

So with all the normal stuff that you enjoy in life not available in heaven, what is left that you would want to do? Read books? Travel in mostly empty outer space? Talk to your long dead relatives? Be reunited forever with your dead ex-spouse? I guess we lose all our human desires when we go to heaven and become ever happy lobotomized cloud potatoes….for eternity, with the occasional karaoke break and lots and lots of time spent praising God. Just wonderful, an eternity of mindless happiness. I could do that as a cauliflower, just give me water and sunshine.
Christianity EtcChris Brown Says He’s Tired Of Worshipping The Devil…and God Spoke To Him by Addietunes(op): 11:21am On Sep 19, 2015
The popular American Hip Hop singer Chris Brown has said that he is tired of the devil ruining his life.

In a recent Instagram post, the award-winning singer blamed the devil for trying to ruin his life. He also talked about thoughts of suicide and claims he’s heard God speak to him for the very first time.

Here’s exactly what he wrote:

“When u tired of the fucking devil ruining your life and u hear God speak for the first time.

No one knows what I deal with on a day to day. The average man wouldn’t hesitate to blow his fucking brains out but that’s the cowards way out… Most won’t understand the genius and beauty in change and learning and the people who have devilish intentions will win in the short term. My soul will always be pure of heart.

What’s on the surface always looks like one big party but inside there is a little boy looking for help and guidance. People say “be a man”. Yeah, that’s right but it doesn’t take away any pain you really go through. I just wanna stay out the way and do music. Most importantly and great father.

I don’t have any more patience for anything that will cause me to self destruct!!

If God reveals himself to you that way you want to, you may not survive it. God is a spirit. If you want to know him you have to allow the holy spirit into your life. You can't know God by mere typing it on NL, seek him and he will reveal himself to you in a manner only you will understand but I'd you keep waiting for him to show you himself as a movie, you might as well become a spirit and leave your human nature to behold that since you are too eager to see him with your physical eyes.
If you can say this, then it means you must have seen god. Please tell us, is he black or white, tall or short? Is he even a he and not she? I'm waiting.

Christianity EtcQuestions For Theists by Addietunes(op): 9:11am On Sep 13, 2015
I'll accept the premise that for whatever reason, God of the bible had to "cast Satan (a former angel) from heaven". I'll even accept that for some reason, the place he was to be "cast down" to was a physical place (Earth), fine....
There are at least 9 planets in our Solar System, along with one Sun. There are roughly 400 BILLION (yes billion) stars/or Suns in our Milky Way galaxy, most of which make our Sun look rather small, and are also being orbited by planets much larger than Earth. There are at LEAST one billion galaxies in the known universe, also containing an unfathomable amount of stars, and planetary systems....
Here's my question(s):
Why did God NEED to banish Satan to Earth?
Why not Jupiter?..... The Sun?
Why (logically) would God "cast him down" to Earth, and NOT one of the TRILLIONS of other galaxies in the universe? Why SEND evil to the Milky Way?
Thanks in advance for all the logical answers I'm sure I'll receive.

I totally disagree with this, you were subjected to unfair indoctrinations into these things, as you put it programmed with what to think and you want to subject your little ones to the same fate? No to me that's cruel.

I was born into that shackle and i tell you my children will not be subjected to any form of psychological shackle or abuse. I will allow them develop their own opinion, i will show them the world as it is at the same time encourage them to agree with things only when it conforms to their reason..

Threatening Children with the image of hell, teaching them dependency on abstract concept and all other psychological quagmire is one thing i will never subject my kids to..

Go to Nigerian Night Clubs i can bet that more than 96% of the people there are theists all raised Christians and stuff. i personally see no problem with someone going to a club to dance and have fun though i have never been to one, not that it is bad but because it is just the way my life is, i love serene environments though i will sure go to one anytime i feel like or want to.

So these kids raised christians and stuff but still end up in Night clubs shows that it is not about raising a kid the christian way, it is about knowing how to get to their young minds, it's about knowing how to show them the society for what it is and most of all teaching them to know what conforms to their reason.

Using threats (like hell as Christianity & Islam) employs in inciting morality into young lads simply is a psychological abuse on the young minds of these innocent ones because you are getting them to conform to your idea of morality with a factor of fear, that to me is immoral itself.

Teach the young ones to be NICE because it is good to be Nice to others.

My parents were raised Christians

I was born into Christiandom and i know the guilt and fear i grew up with, i remember the first day i kissed a girl as a 9year old kid (you know Children love wink) That one act haunted my mind for years. The fear that i have done a terrible thing, the fearful thoughts of going to hell because i kissed a girl. (Worst of all the parents don't even know or notice their Children are going through these psychological trauma )

I won't have my Children go through same abuse, i won't let my Children grow up with an unfounded fear weighing heavily in their minds. i won't let my Children be discouraged of cultivating healthy questions and developing their own ideas, i won't lie to my Children by telling them that they are sinful, that they are terrible persons, broken, inherited the sins of some mythical jewish couples who ate an apple, or make them dependent on abstract concepts for favours.

No i will teach them that they are beautiful, strong, wonderful, great. i will teach them to be dependent on themselves, i will teach them the world is good and they should strive to be good to be sure the world is good.

I am an agnostic atheist but i will neither raise my Kids as atheists or theists. That ideology is for them to cultivate.
They need to see the world as it is then develop their own opinion. I can only teach them to always think but will never force or impose on them what i want them to think, they are the ones to decide and make their choices when they are old enough.

I intend to raise them to "Be Good for goodness sake" i intend to teach them to place humans first before ideas.

I intend to show them that only their actions towards others is what makes them either good or bad.

I intend to show them that their nature as humans is very beautiful, intelligent and strong.

And i will never teach them myths as truth or fables as truths But rather i will teach them myth as myth and fables as fables and reality as reality.

The young minds no nothing like hatred, intolerance, racism, sexism, indoctrination, bigotry, homophobia, prejudice, misogyny.

They do not yet understand things like Love, tolerance, joys, compassion, acceptance, human decency, empathy, integrity, beauty and truth.

nor disturbing emotions like fear, greed and jealousy.

For the first and most important formative years of their lives they will only know what you teach them.

So choose well.

I really wish I could do that, but lets face reality, we live in a country where religion is the order of the day, if you try to bring up a child in an atheist way, the child would be seen as a fool in the mist of his theist friends, which would reflect negatively on the child. Apart from that its also rare to find a suitable atheist wife to marry. Over 90% of ladies out there are religious, the idea of not following your wife to church is not only the issue but this time your kids are included. Your kids would be taught in church and in school CRK, which is a compulsory subject, at least to an extent. The only way to come about this is to let your kids decide when they grow into their late teen years, by then they would have been mature enough to understand the truth. Finally, with the way atheists are increasing lately, something tells me our kids won't get that old before they know the truth.

I have problem with religion because i feel it has lost its human face, but i'm still raising my kids as christians, i would prefer them singing in the church than in clubs.

Op how were your parent raised?
How are you being raise?
How are you raising your kids or how do you intend to raise them?
To be sincere, your question is very serious. I have thought of it and i have concluded to raise my kids the Christian way, but once they start to question the bible I would sincerely tell them to google, or we Google together, if they are still persistent after that, I would tell them the truth. Their being persistent means they are smart and telling them the truth is the only option after that.

1) Quoting From Their Holy Book

Some theists quote scripture to non believers as if they were preaching to the pews. Either these theists don’t know their audience or just don’t care about the futility of their actions. Do Christians care what verse 67:10 of the Quran says? Would Jews renounce their faith and embrace Krishna if they read the Bhagavad Gita? The only people who care what a particular holy book says are those who already believe the book is holy.

2) You’re Going to Burn in Hell

That’s nice. Remind me to bring marshmallows and hot dogs. If I threaten someone with a stocking full of coal, would they be any more likely to believe in Santa? Threatening someone with something they don’t believe in won’t make them believe it.

3) You Can’t Prove God Doesn’t Exist

Well, that all depends on the kind of god being asserted. If a theist is proposing a god that split the moon in half about 1500 years ago then yes, that claim is falsified by the absence of any physical evidence the moon split and the absence of anyone else writing about it other than in the Quran. If someone is asserting a god who created two humans about 6,000 years ago from whom all of humanity is derived, we know that to be genetically impossible. But in general, this is simply shifting the burden of proof. Atheists don’t need to prove a god doesn’t exist anymore than you need to prove there isn’t an invisible dragon in my garage.

4) Everything is Subjective So Nothing You Say Matters

This one usually comes up in discussions on morality. Just because someone says morality is subjective does not mean everything else is. Sometimes it comes up when someone acknowledges perspective plays a role in how observations may be interpreted. But that doesn’t mean everything is subjective either. Flailing straw men around doesn’t help an argument. It just looks like you’re throwing a fit.

5) I’m Not Religious. I Have a Personal Relationship With God

J.Z. Knight is not insane. She just has a personal relationship with Ramtha, the spirit of a Lemurian warrior who fought Atlantis over 35,000 years ago. See how silly that sounds? Belief in a god is itself religious from the perspective of most atheists. Whether or not a theist belongs to a religious organization is a side issue.

6) Who Created the Universe, the Earth and the First People?

This is a complex question fallacy which assumes earth, the universe and people were all “created” and that they were created by a “who.” Obviously these are not assumptions atheists will share, just like adults don’t share the assumption of children who think people are trapped in the T.V. The term “created” is generally used to refer to existing material used in the construction of a new form. But that’s not what theists mean anyway.

These questions also represent an ignorance of geology, cosmology and biology. Atheists shouldn’t have to teach theists what is readily available through Google or any number of inexpensive courses available at your local community college.

7) Why Are There Still Monkeys?

Evolution works in mysterious ways. Or maybe evolution has nothing to do with humans coming from monkeys. Yeah, I’m pretty sure monkeys weren’t mentioned in my genetics course.

Evolution is about population genetics, a group that changes very slowly over time due to random mutation, genetic drift, survival, sexual selection and other factors. Human evolution is not about monkeys morphing into humans. It is not about a group of monkeys evolving into humans. It is about all apes, including humans, monkeys and gorillas, evolving from the same things over millions of years. The word “ape” may not generally be used by laymen to refer to humans, but science classifies all great apes—humans, orangutans, gorillas, chimps and bonobos—under the family Hominidae.

Theists who don’t understand evolution shouldn’t tout their ignorance. Attacking evolution doesn’t get anyone any closer to belief in a deity anyway. We can throw evolution right out the window and there still isn’t any evidence to justify belief in a deity.

cool I’ll Pray For You

They might as well just say “Bleep you.” That’s pretty much how many atheists interpret it. Atheists obviously don’t believe prayer accomplishes anything other than perhaps the same thought and self reflection everyone does anyway. Telling an atheist this would be meaningless if it weren’t for the fact that by repeating this to atheists so often, theists have proven prayer doesn’t work.

9) You Can See God in Everything

Even herpes? What about the flesh eating disease, Necrotizing fasciitis? I suppose if you were looking at it like a Rorschach test you might see God. Europeans thought they saw God in everything back in the 14th century. When the bubonic plague broke out, they figured God must be pretty pissed off so they went and started the Inquisition. Theists tend to talk about fluffier things when saying this though, like bunnies and flowers. Atheists see beauty in the world too, but we don’t need to attribute that to a god.

10) You Can’t See Air, But You Know It’s There, Just Like God

This one is actually taught in Islamic elementary schools. Sorry kids, but when you grow up and you’re still using the same arguments from elementary, that means you haven’t progressed any. We can detect and measure air. We can detect and measure the contents of air. If not seeing something is evidence it exists, there’s a bridge from Seattle to Tokyo I’d like to sell you.

Seriously, creationists claim that their findings are unimpeachable, and that evolutionists just make things up to fit the theory. The majority of scientists in applicable fields accept biological evolution as fact. If someone could disprove it the person would be a shoo-in for the nobel prize which would add millions of dollars to the person's account.

Really, if I'm a creationist right now I would go ahead and disprove evolution and collect the Nobel prize because I would have a strong proof to back my findings up, but as we can see, no one has ever tried. This means creationist have nothing as proof against evolution.

Be careful, lest ANYONE (whether pope or not) deceives you. The first people created by God were Adam and Eve, and it was through them (though not directly) that Jesus came to the world. If the story of Adam and Eve is fable, then Jesus did not exist and we christians are wasting our time believing in Jesus that doesn't exist.

If hell fire does not exist, why will Jesus tell believers that it were better to go to heaven maimed than to go to hell with one's body intact? Why will the Devil, Death, the world of the dead and those whose names will not be found in the Book of Life be thrown into a place that does not exist (hell fire) on the judgement day?
If hell does not exist, why will Jesus leave His throne in heaven and come to the earth and even died for the sins of the world?
