Christianity EtcRe: A Simple Mathematics For All Christians To Know by Addietunes(op): 8:28am On Mar 10, 2015
Maamin:
If you know the person typing behind this keyboard, you will understand am not the religious type, it amaze me why you are already thinking am a christian but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I hate lazy students that cant make simple meaning or assessment of issues. Here is their timeline from Wiki, please help yourself out of your misery. And dont bother Quoting me again cause I will not reply you.. I dont talk much.

The timeline of the Tanakh can be estimated using the ages given in Genesis and Jubliees. Starting with the creation of Adam and adding the information when his son was born, the age of his son, etc. this gives a timeline from Adam's creation to the death of Jacob 2255 years later (according to the Masoretic text, the Septuagint timeline is significantly longer).

1 - Adam (generation 1) is created.[1]
130 - Adam and Eve receive a son, Seth (generation 2)
235 - Enosh is born (generation 3)
325 - Kenan is born (generation 4)
395 - Mahalaleel is born (generation 5)
460 - Jared is born (generation 6)
622 - Enoch is born (generation 7)
687 - Methuselah is born (generation cool "Methuselah" can be translated "when he dies it comes."[citation needed]
874 - Lamech is born (generation 9)
930 - Adam dies, aged 930
987 - Enoch taken up by God (did not die [Gen5:24]), aged 365
1042 - Seth dies, aged 912
1056 - Noah is born (generation 10)
1140 - Enosh dies, aged 905
1235 - Kenan dies, aged 910
1290 - Mahalaleel dies, aged 895
1422 - Jared dies, aged 962
1556 - Noah has three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth (generation 11)
1651 - Lamech (Noah's father) dies, aged 777
1656 - Methuselah dies the same year as the flood comes, aged 969
1658 - Arpachshad is born (generation 12)
1693 - Shelah is born (generation 13)
1723 - Eber is born (generation 14)
1757 - Peleg is born (generation 15)
1787 - Reu is born (generation 16)
1819 - Serug is born (generation 17)
1849 - Nahor is born (generation 18)
1878 - Terah is born (generation 19)
1948 - Abraham is born (generation 20)
1958 - Sarah, Abrahams wife, is born
1996 - Peleg dies, aged 239 - this is the first death mentioned in the Bible after the flood
1997 - Nahor dies, aged 148
2006 - Noah, generation 10 after Adam, dies at the age of 950
2026 - Reu dies, aged 239
2034 - Ishmael is born (generation 21)
2048 - Isaac is born (also generation 21)
2049 - Serug dies, aged 230
2083 - Terah dies, aged 205
2085 - Sarah dies
2088 - Isaac is married at the age of 40, to Rebecca
2096 - Arpachshad dies, aged 438
2108 - Jacob is born, with his twin Esau (generation 22)
2123 - Abraham dies, aged 175
2126 - Shelah dies, aged 433
2156 - Shem dies, aged 600
2187 - Eber dies, aged 464
2228 - Isaac dies, aged 180
2238 - Jacob moves to Egypt at the age of 130
2255 - Jacob dies in Egypt, aged 147

Like I said, I may be wrong with the calculations, but if Jesus died 2000 years ago, and the world as the Christians can tell is 6000 years, that means that, the generation from Adam to the birth of Jesus is within 4000 years which according to your calculations is still wrong. Please recalculate very well.

Maamin:
Yes there is an error somewhere and is from you.

Did you consider that the time frame in which this patriarchs lived is not exactly sub sequential after another? But intertwined within specific time and age of there existence or at which they were given birth to. For example you are in existence and fully grown I believe, Buhari is 72 and am sure you are not up to 30 yet but lets assume u are 30 we cant add up your age and that of Buhari and try to compare it within the time frame or time line of you both existence though the sum up might be a 102 years but the time frame of you both can not be up to 100 years or even 80 because there is an overlap between your age and Buhari's.

Op. I urge u to do more research on the questions u raised plus try to understand the term "timeline"
You ve got to be kidding me, why is it that christians always love to defend their beliefs without reasoning? Well according to my post there, Adam and Seth are only the ones in the same timeline. If you can still calculate, you would notice the error, by the way, try to reason this time and not just saying whatever that pops into your brain.
Christianity EtcA Simple Mathematics For All Christians To Know by Addietunes(op):
The Bible tells us that:

Adam lived 930 years. (Genesis 5:5)

Seth lived 912 years.(Genesis 5:

Methuselah lived 969 years.(Genesis 5:27)

And Noah lived 950 years. (Genesis 9:29). If we calculate those years, they are close to 4000 years. If we add up the generation of moses, Abraham, david, and jesus . I'm sure they would be more than 2000years all making 6000 years. Also according to the bible, Jesus died 2000 years ago. But the bible said the world is only 6000 years old.
I'm not that good at mathematics but i'm sure there is an error somewhere. Either that or our bible writers couldn't count.

CareerA Rich Man Can Never Be Poor, And A Poor Man Can Never Be Rich. Your Opinion. by Addietunes(op): 8:50am On Jan 10, 2015
My point is this, when i say rich, i mean billionaires not millionaires. I know and i believe that a man that is poor and thinks like a poor man can never b a billionaire, while a billionaire can never b poor because what made him a billionaire in d 1st place can never make him poor. Even if he becomes poor and still thinks a rich man, then he his still a rich man. What do you guys think?
CultureTo The Yorubas, Have You Ever Been Told To Ask For Arodan? by Addietunes(op): 10:40pm On Jan 02, 2015
Arodan is something some Yoruba mothers tell their kids to ask for whenever their kids are disturbing them. I was told when I was young to ask of it from my neighbors, I did as told and as soon as our neighbor heard what I said, she understood what was going on, so she played along by telling me to go and ask someone else. That was how I was being played from one person to another until I understood what arodan meant.

Is there anybody else who has witnessed this situation?

Christianity Etc43 Proofs To Show That Jesus Is A Myth by Addietunes(op):
What if you find out that everything you believed is Just a Myth? What if you find out that your faith is build on a Story... A story that was stolen from an ancient folklore? What if someone tells you that Christianity is a lie, Jesus Never Existed & it was just a story stolen from ancient mythologies! How would you feel then?

Many scholars & philosophers have pointed out parallels between Jesus & mythical figures like Horus, Dionysus (Orpheus Bacchus) & Attis. This controversial theory that our beloved Jesus Christ was just a Myth, a story probably stolen from the life event of Egyptian mythical God Horus' or influenced by the Greek mythology is not completely new to us. The 46 parallels between Jesus & Horus has been a hot topic over years. Since it constantly failed to gain significant public attention, the opponents of this concept so far refused to take it seriously. However, the supporters of this theory kept claiming that the Government & the Church has played a significant role to keep it out of public attention.

The Sun-god Horus was worshipped nearly 1,000 years before the story of Jesus. Now check these parallels:

1.Both were conceived of a virgin.
2.Both were the "only begotten son" of a god (either Osiris or Yahweh)
3.Horus's mother was Meri, Jesus's mother was Mary.
4.Horus's foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus's foster father was Joseph.
5.Both foster fathers were of royal descent.
6.Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to have been born in a stable).
7.Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel.
Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star). Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in the East).
8.Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 25 (the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25.
9.Both births were announced by angels.
10.Both had shepherds witnessing the birth.
11.Horus was visited at birth by "three solar deities" and Jesus was visited by "three wise men".
12.After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered.
13.To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, "Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child." To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to "arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt."
14.When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where hsi eye was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah.
15.Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual. Neither have any official recorded life histories between the ages of 12 and 30.
16.Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan.
17.Both were baptized at age 30.
18.Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
19.Both Anup and John were later beheaded.
20.Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Satan.
21.Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation.
22.Both have 12 disciples.
23.Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and restored sight to the blind.
24.Horus "stilled the sea by his power." Jesus commanded the sea to be still by saying, "Peace, be still."
25.Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.)
26.Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in Bethanu (literally, "house of Anu"wink.
27.Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount.
28.Both were crucified.
29.Both were crucified next to two thieves.
30.Both were buried in a tomb.
31.Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3 days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back "three days" later (although Friday night to Sunday morning is hardly three days).
32.Both had their resurrection announced by women.
33.Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign.
34.Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as the Christ (which means "anointed one"wink.
35.Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the fisher, and the winnower.
36.Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish).
37.Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the vine, and the shepherd's crook.
38.Horus was born in Anu ("the place of bread"wink and Jesus was born in Bethlehem ("the house of bread"wink.
39."The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament states the following prophecy: 'Out of Egypt have I called my son.'"
40.Both were transfigured on the mount.
41.The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of "Madonna and Child."
Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are called "Immaculate".
42.Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once."

43. Horus was identified with the Tau (cross). Jesus & Christianity is also symbolized by the cross.

As a bonus, Christians worship their God on Sundays (sun-day, a day set aside to worship the sun god, horus).
