CareerRe: I Want To Be A Lecturer But Have Only HND, Advise Me by ade2008(m): 7:36pm On Nov 23, 2016
Timossa:
The duration could be between 1 - 6 months. It all depends on how fast you pay for your conversion and how soon you finish up your project.

Mind you, with us, you don't have to sit for lectures, write exams, waste unnecessary resources.

The conversion fee is N250,000 (Two Hundred, Fifty Thousand Naira) only. And your form is N10,000. That is all.

For more info: email us at : universitinfo@gmail.com

Best wishes.
This is purely academic fraud.

your experience is it based on your workplace? Or from other schools? Or from what people have told you? Funny though. #yourexperience#
I'm in the system, working in a polytechnic, state owned. This is not hearsay, assumption, direct experience. With HND you can only be employed as a technologist or instructor(high cgpa). Note lecturer cadre is different from instructor cadre. I repeat, in Nigeria, no university will employ him as a lecturer even with HND+PGD+MSC, only polytechnic can. Many lecturers in the polytechnic with HND+PGD+MSC are now going back for degree so that can they have the opportunity to work in the university. Gone are the days HND are employed as instructor in the university and rise to be a professor. OP, my advice for you, if you really want to work in academics settings get the degree, and then your master. Dont go through the PGD+MSC path especially if you wish to work later as a reaseacher(lecturer) in the university. You will surely need the degree. This information is from a reliable source, i'm one of the victim of this abnormal system in this country. Be wise in your decision, dont waste your money and time. We are in the same age bracket, age is not a barrier to achieve your dream but take wise decision now. If you've academic Godfather you can neglect this advice. Goodluck

My brother, I am currently in the teaching profession with HND and it's paying me well. Just go and do a Post Graduate Diploma in Education ( 1 year) for a start. A lot of Polytechnics need lecturers. You can start from there and then do your masters degree and move to a University. By then you must have gained at least 2 years lecturing experience before moving to a University. Nigeria work is solely based on experience and not just carrying certificate around. #speaking from concrete experience#
No university will employ him as a lecturer even with HND+PGD+MSC, only polytechnic can. Even to be employed in a polytechnic the PGD should be in the core field(mass comm not in education+ MSC. Academic carreer for HND is very narrow , you can only work as a technologist, so my advice is obtain a degree if you're passionate about working in academic as lecturer. I'm a senior technologist working in a polytechnic , speaking from experience

You aint wrong bro. Nigeria is a country where people go to d farm without cutlass. Sometimes, i feel we are just fooling ourselves here. U see a microbiologist who cannot use a microscope, u see a anatomist who has not seen an electron microscope not to talk of use, u see a lecturer who says streptococci is gramnegative, and probably d number of mushrooms universities may increase before u are done with reading this.

CareerRe: Career Prospects Of An Hnd Mechanical Engineering Graduate by ade2008(m): 3:40pm On Nov 01, 2016
HND distinction is still not equivalent to degree. After HND you will still be admitted to 200level. Even with HND + PGD youre still not equal to a Bsc. If you find yourself in academic settings you're finished. Even if you're 30+ my best advice is get the next DE jamb form.

Understand every side of stories before making your contributions, it's not healthy to make comments based hearsay and one sided story.

NLC and other union bodies should be headed by people with no political affiliations, and even if they belong to one, it should be made silent, and let's not forget that every political opposition will want to make something out of everything.

Am not saying Amosun is a saint, am saying if he made a reaction based on actions taken by some people that are meant to be in-charge of affairs, then he's done the right thing.

He's the head of the state and the decision on its affairs should be made by him, either good or bad is based on the angle you are looking at it from.

Make ur contributions with relatable points void of unfounded sentiments.

To me, Amosun is a good leader with his own flaws compared to his peers.

Thank you!
Are you one of his political jingos? Which Amosun is a good leader .Tyrant.
BusinessRe: Which Of These Alternative Power Sources is more economical? by ade2008(m): 7:23pm On Jun 03, 2016
Go for solar and inverter.with solar you can completely go off the grid. Initial cost may be higher but with time you will recurp back the cost. Solar will be cheaper in the long run. If you need at least 8hrs of uninterrupted power supply daily may cost you millions of naira but still the best in terms of long time investment

RomanceHave You Heard About The Annual joystick Festival In Japan? by ade2008(op):
This year’s edition was celebrated yesterday and it was all fun and excitement. The penis festival is said to be one of the most popular festivals in Japan, and it is to celebrate the vital importance of penis in the society.
The festival is said to be the time for everyone to experience sex at least once in a year, even for singles. Even prostitutes provide free sex just to honour the ‘great penis’.
Yesterday, April 3, hundreds of local were out on the streets of Kawasaki in Japan, with three giant phalluses, some as big as a full-grown man, just to give kudos to the ‘great penis’. Lol
The penis festival, also known as the Festival of the Steel Phallus or ‘Willy Festival, takes place every year and attracts tens of thousands of people. Souvenirs from the festival include key chains, trinkets, pens, chocolates and even toy glasses with a plastic penis nose.

EducationRe: No Statement Of Result 3 Years After Graduation by ade2008(m): 7:36pm On Dec 21, 2015
tunjijones:
Good afternoon good people. Please i need your advice on this:
My younger sister graduated from Lagos state University (School of part time studies) since 2012 and up till today she is yet to get her statement of result. This has really affected her as she cant get any meaningful job without her statement of result.

On inquiry she found out that most people that graduated before her are yet to get their result too. Good people i need your candid advice on this. She got frustrated to the extent that we thought she should go back to another school to start afresh but age is not on her side.

Can we take any legal action against Lagos State University?

Please i would appreciate matured comment.

Moderator please help me move this to front page.
I also finished PGD programme over 3 yrs ago from lasu ,no result uptill now. I think this is a general problem with their part time programme. This problem is peculiar to part time programme. Sorry to say lasu part time programmes are not well cordinated. Your sister still need to wait as new VC is being appointed. We hope all accumulated part time programme s result will all be approved next year 2016.
