Justwise just asked an ideal question and the answer u profer will determine whether u can act to sponsor her as well.inoder words how bouyant u r financially.u just said u wanted to indicate that she sell clothes and if she does,she should be getting and issuing receipts. Bank statement and u should be very careful as to the transactions on the statement inorder not to creat suspicion.inorder words,do u deposit very huge amount just because u want to attain a certain closing balance.
Also regarding her business dealings, have u gotten documents to back that up(receipts,cheques,other business registration documentation just to support her business dealing claim. That u have a good job. But u must also state clearly all require info as it relates to ur previous application on the form if requested.your employer should be able to write a letter for you confirming ur employmnent with them stating ur length of employment to date and also state if u r on anual leave or what and should also state when u r due

Where was ur inlaw based then? Uk or nigeria. Frantic speaking ur financial capability then could even be better off ur inlaw and if u had applied as the sponsorer of urself, u could have got ur visa because u had good good which was on going and u also had other financial commitment documentation. Most importantly,
U had good ties in nigeria which are ur family(wife) and job which they envisaged that u would definitely come back to after ur stay in nigeria. I will advise u giving 2 options.
1. U can apply for ur visa and indicate that u r the one sponsoring urself and in doing so , u will provide the following documentations- bank statement, letter from ur employer, payslips,other finacial documentations
Like ur fixed deposit and others. These stand as evidence that u r capable of financing ur trip to the uk so as to be able to cater for ur flight,accomodation and other basic living allowances while in the uk.

2.U inlaw could stand as ur sponsor provided his circumstances have changed fianancially

3. If he is in the uk,he can send u an invitation letter and write a letter that he is inviting you and that he reside in so so so number of bedroom flat that he can conveniently accomodate u for the period of ur stay
In the uk. Inorder words,he is informing the embassy that he will be responsible for ur accommodation while in the uk and in support of this,he should furnish u some bills registered to his address. Such could include-utility bill(electricity,water), council tax bill and most importantly he can also write a letter stating where he works.

I don't think u should have any problem getting a visa in as much as u can demostrate that ur circumstances have changed ever since then and which I know has change.As a us resident , do u mean a permanent resident with green card? Well u can apply for ur visa and most importanct also is the financial capability of the person inviting you from the uk since his/her financial instability was the cause of
Ur returning home in 2004 if he/she will be responsible for any the expenses that u will be incuring while visiting( flights, feeding, accomodation and all othe allowances). Also u should be able to demostrate ur ties in the us in the form of ur employment ( letter, payslips, bank statement ) or if u r a student, a letter from ur college will do)

The main thing is for you to be able to show ur ties both in nigeria while being interviewed(voluntary job and family) and ur education in SA which starts after ur arrival from the uk.further 8 days or 2 weeks,Iam saying that it is a disadvantage but just

If he or she is applying as a visitor , then u as the person been visited must ne a nigerian citizen. Inorder for him/her to get visa, u must send him/her a letter of invitation and also u must be able to show ur financial ability by submitting
A letter from ur employer. U should also submit payslip as evidence of ur monthly remuneration. Also in suport of the application, u must be able to depict that u have a geniune accommodation for the person u r inviting. Most importantly is that u must also be able to show the link bt u and the person being invited.
If u have problems with any of the above, the person if financially bouyant can apply for tourist visa provided he/she can show evidence of his/her financial ability for the journey ( hotel, flight, feeding etc) . He/she should be show evidence that he is working as been employed or self employed

Following all the documents listed above,I guess that u are on the right tract but my major concern is that u could be asked what u have been doing in nija since u left SA. Answer to this question could go a long way to determine whether u can be issued with a visa or not. If u portray urself as been employed,then u have a chance and on the other hand they could address ur stability. Could u not apply from SA and if u could,u can try and secure a paid job there in SA prior to ur interview date and
In doind so, u portray ur self as been suitable and u r not creating any chance for them to question u further. Also if this is ur first time, I would advise that u put in for 2 week instead of 8 days

Cooltony09. You could show ur itenerary if requested for but I would not advice that u buy a ticket b4 going to the embassy. For a better chance of getting ur visa, consider using only one of your friends. Compare both of them using their financial capablities puting their job, status in the us,family,financial comitments etc to determine which one would be most suitable

You left? Did u pass or u had to resit? Did u withdraw from the course officially?if u took the exams and some resit,u could still go for ur resit. Also if u had left officially,I can advise that
You put in to study elsewhere for direct admission provided u have completed the required number of credits( counting from the first phase of 100 level-2 semesters),phase two comprising of the first 2 semesters and the 1st of 300 level)
But if u have decided not to continue with ur education in nigeria,I will strongly advice that you try and procure admission for any course of ur choice starting in april,august or september and after doing this,u must get a direct continuation of the statement
