If Israel were truly using its full military capability without any restraint or concern for civilian casualties, Hamas would have ceased to exist long ago.

The reality is that Hamas deliberately operates from within civilian areas, schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods, using the population as human shields. This makes any military operation incredibly complex and tragically results in civilian casualties, which is one of war's harsh realities.

The fact that Hamas still exists actually demonstrates that Israel is showing restraint, despite the heavy toll. A military truly engaged in ethnic cleansing with no rules of engagement would achieve very different results, as horrific as that is to contemplate.

I'm not justifying the suffering, every civilian death is a tragedy. But we need to acknowledge the strategic reality: terrorist organizations that embed themselves among civilians make conflict resolution exponentially more difficult and civilian protection nearly impossible.
