Jonathan destroyed himself Northerners never want Him 2 replace Yar adua, they want Him 2 resign so that a northern cn take over the presidency But Tinubu, Oba of Lagos, Obasanjo and some top man in southwest rallied round support for him, through which he was able to bcm the Nation president. But as the adage says “ Give a poor man a food to eat today and he will surely forgot yesterday hunger” After becoming the president he forgot those that stand behind him and started the act of pleasing the north that never want him with all the juicy position in administration(sidelined the southwest). Unknowingly to him, the northerns are still planning his downfall despite his generosity on to them, because they never feel contended with all the juicy position, University and Almajiri school he built. He also built fly over in one of the northern state, but it was so amazing that the citizens gave the credit to their Governor despite knowing fully well that its Jonathan's project. With the north seeing his relationship with the southwest had already strained, they quickly remembered the quote “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” With the southwest not gaining anything from Jonathan Government They have to withdraw their support because Jonathan never for once appreciate it (until some months to General election which can b see as medicine after death). Southwest aim is to put an end to northern superior attitude by supporting Jonathan to becm the President after the death of Yar adua (so that the rules of law can prevail) But Jonathan gave the power back to them which later came back to hurt him. By the time he knew the threat those Key position he gave to northerners posed to his re-election the deed has been done. |
