AMBO ti de. |
Ambode ti de |
From my observations. Seems to me like it's victory for APC has won the Gubernatorial elections. Ambode is finally here!! |
The writer of this thread is grossly ignorant. If you don't know, tax is by far the most popular and most efficient means of generating revenue in a state. In fact, it is a yardstick for measuring development. But the bush goat of a writer that spewed out this tread is here talking rubbish. PDP fans disappoint me with how dense they are. Would it hurt to conduct a simple research. Even abroad, toll gates exist. Taxes and toll gates are a symptom of a developed society. I choose APC over the daft and grossly incompetent PDP. Ambode for change. |
We want to take Lagos to greater heights and the only way to permit this is by using that thumb print to vote in Akinwunmi Ambode for Governor. Eko o ni Baje. |
This Saturday the choice is yours but I appeal to you to make the right choice and #VoteAmbode. |
They've forgotten how bad the General Hospitals were. Please do not trade Lagos out of ignorance. Lagos needs continuity. Vote Akinwunmi Ambode. |
The PDP is evil. Nigerians have now been saved. Lagos must not let this party possess it. It'd be hard to exorcise o. Please let's vote APC for continuity in Lagos State. #AMBO2015 EKO O NI BAJE!! |
#GboGboWaLaNiEko Ben Akabueze is an Igbo Man, The Longest serving commisioner in Lagos State. Despite the Obas comments, there is no need to emphasize the fact that Lagos State is home to all. #AMBO2015 #VOTEAPC EKO O NI BAJE. |
If you want PDP to jonathan all of Fashola's work in Lagos, vote PDP. If you want to build on Fashola's strides, vote AMBO!! Eko o ni Baje. |
This post is another lie originated by the PDP. It even resembles something perpetuated by FFK. The only thing PDP is good at is lying and destroying lives. You people would be wise to disregard such an unintelligent article. As if such a news like this, of this magnitude were to be true, it would make the pages of national dailies and television news. AND HAS IT? NO IT HASN'T. WHY?? BECAUSE IT IS FALSE. Please my people join me as we kick out such maliciousness out of our country. I choose competence and results over a Political Party that points fingers. #VoteAPC #AMBO2015 EKO O NI BAJE. |
Lagos is not a compensation, Lagos is the real deal. Don't let the destructive PDP ruin our progressive journey in Lagos. Vote Ambode for Governor. |
FG owes LASG more than N50b that they've refused to pay back. All FG roads in Lagos are lit by LASG. Only APC truly cares #VoteAPC #VoteAmbode |
Vote the man not the party" is how we voted GEJ in 2011, best believe if you vote Agbaje, you are voting PDP which means Koro, Bode George, Kashamu. Be wise. Vote Ambode instead for a better Lagos. |
Tinubu this Tinubu that, the man is not running for any post. Ambode's record speaks for itself. |
Tinubu this Tinubu that, the man is not running for any post. Ambode's record speaks for itself |
Thanks to APC and indeed Nigerians, we have successfully kicked out incompetence from our government. Lagosians please give PDP the red card by voting in Akinwunmi Ambode come April 11. Eko o ni Baje. |
From Jakande to Tinubu to Fashola, Lagos has never wavered. With little or no natural resources. Lagos has still risen above to be the pacesetter among all Nigerian States in terms of revenue and economy. What many amongst you don't know is that at some point during these seamless tenures, lied Akinwunmi Ambode in the frameworks, as the accountant general, helping to formulate and implement modern day commercial strategies, and today, we have see by how much Lagos State has set itself apart from the others. Are you lot simply allergic to good governance? I'm voting Akinwunmi Ambode still. Because his competence is there for all to see. Eko o ni Baje. |
Happy Good Friday everyone. I implore us all in the good spirit of this season to tell a brother, sister, relation or friend about the importance of voting in Akinwunmi Ambode in our dear Lagos State as Governor. #InAmbowetrust EKO O NI BAJE. |
What is important is that we all come out on the 11th of April, and also encourage friends and family to come out in their numbers to vote for Ambode. That's the only way to help Lagos on the path of being a Mega city. |
Continuity is at the core of why Akinwunmi Ambode is the right choice for Lagos State Governor in 2015. Lagosians want a leader who will continue the reforms and good work of the past administrations in the state. These are the reasons why you should vote Akinwunmi Ambode as your governor. POWER All of us will attest to the poor power supply that we’ve experienced on a national scale. In spite of the challenges, Lagos State has been at the forefront of independent power supply. On March 8, we launched the 8.4MW Peninsula Power Project, in partnership with Peninsula IP ltd. This IPP will join the other 5 IPPs built over the past few years, helping Lagos generate & maintain its own reliable power sources. Legally, we are unable to send the power to the national grid but these IPPs powers utilities such as water works & street lights. This way, water supply will improve, street lights will stay on longer and homes & businesses will experience fewer downtimes. Furthermore, the Lagos State Energy Board has an Energy Academy where young Nigerians are trained as workers in the power sector. The govt of Akinwunmi Ambode will ensure that these projects are maintained & expanded to support the development of Lagos. In terms of bold ideas, not many ideas as bold as ensuring the energy independence of West Africa’s foremost economy. TRANSPORTATION Ambode’s vision is provision of an efficient, safe & reliable integrated Multi-Modal Transportation System for a sustainable economic growth. As at 2014, Lagos had 1.2m vehicles registered in the State, over 2m vehicles passing through. We have roughly 224 vehicles per km of road. In contrast, New York has 24 vehicles per km. That’s challenging. We have delivered over 33,000 road signs since 2007. We’ve also constructed medians & improved junctions. We have delivered over 33,000 road signs since 2007. We’ve also constructed medians & improved junctions. We’ve increased the number of traffic lights by 400% in the past 8 years and 600 zebra crossings. LASTMA means that Lagos gets better transport control. LASTMA employs over 2500 people working in 3 shifts. Lagosians are responding to LASTMA! Violations have REDUCED by 12% in the past 2 years. Driving against traffic by 50%. As a result of legal enforcement, voluntary road worthiness checks have increased by 16% and drivers license requests by 125%. Okada has been very controversial. It has been banned in about 20 states – mostly PDP States. We have only restricted okada operations on 475 of the 10,000 roads in Lagos. That’s less than 5% of roads. Some challenges remain – for example, Apapa, which has been under persistent gridlock. Apapa’s gridlock is the product of bad roads, wrongly sited tank farms, mismanagement of Lagos port operations as well as other factors. The PDP Federal govt is expected to have reconstructed roads in the area but till date has not. No contract has been issued for Creek Road, Wharf Road and the Apapa-Oshodi road contract has expired since 2013. In contrast, APC’s Lagos State government is rebuilding 11 inner roads in the area. INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE Lagos’ Internally Generated Revenue profile is incomparable in the whole of Nigeria for a few reasons. First, it is not created by any form of natural resources/extractive industry but by human capital. Second, it did not exist 16 years ago. Many Nigerians today call for fiscal federalism – the idea that states & regions should pay their own way instead of depending on Abuja. In the long run, this is desirable. It promotes responsibility and spurs development by forcing regional govts to think. Many point to the dwindling oil price and the resultant reduction in federal allocations. Most states are struggling with their bills. Some of you will remember that Lagos has faced this situation before – when the PDP federal govt witheld LGA allocations over a dispute. Most state govts would have buckled under the pressure; but we felt that Lagos must determine its own destiny without any intimidation. We also realised that, to achieve the level of devt required in Lagos, we would need a budget far beyond any Federal allocation. Lagos has a lot of economic activity. If govt has more revenue, we can invest in development which would create more economic activity. In the 16 years we have been in govt, IGR has moved from N14bn in 1999 to N263bn to 2003. That’s roughly a 1900% increase. Increasing the revenue has been hard work – we’ve worked to implement and collect pre-existing taxes & levies. We’ve also used Public-Private Partnerships such as LAWMA collections to improve services while generating revenue. Today, Lagos stands in the enviable position of being the state with the highest IGR – incl. oil-producing states. Lagos is proof that Nigeria’s true potential is not in the ground, it’s in the people above the ground. Akinwunmi Ambode was a critical part of designing and executing this process as Accountant-General. He has the experience to continue growing our revenue and lead Lagos to complete financial independence from the Federal allocations. In light of all this, should we allow Jimi Agbaje and the PDP derail Lagos from the road of progress? Or should we continue to build out the future we want with Akinwunmi Ambode? Take a stand today for Akinwunmi Ambode. The road will be long, but together we can achieve this. |
Lagos state's former account general Akinwunmi Ambode has proven to be phenomenal in his service to Lagosians. You simply do not accend to such a commanding post in government by exhibiting traits of mediocrity. Only the best and those who work well and truly hard accend to such heights. Akinwunmi Ambode is beyond competent. A simple glimpse of his biography would give a better understanding of who the genius really is. I implore all to vote for this great Democrat come April 11 in a bid to continue the next phase astounding transformation of our beloved Lagos. EKO O NI BAJE. |
In Akinwunmi Ambode we trust. What we need in Lagos State is continuity. The incumbent had done massively well and now it's is time to secure the further development of Lagos State and us all. EKO O NI BAJE. |
Burger01:#SaiBuhari In order to continue this new trend and aura of competence, hardwork, discipline, transparency and a truly representative government of the people. I implore every Lagosian to go out on Saturday and cast his vote for the tested, trusted and truly competent Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressive Congress for the political position of Governor of our beloved Lagos State. Eko o ni Baje. |
