caelish: The date you applied - 15/11/22, do you mean the day you submitted the documents at TLS or that was the date for your interview?
I submitted 7/12/22 and interviewed 19/12/22. It's five weeks after my interview and I'm still unable to track my application on the Home Office site till now, much less receive feedback. I didn’t do interview cus I applied for family reunion which is also long stay visa D. It’s been 10weeks since I applied and it’s not showing on the website. We were told it will take 10/11 weeks before it starts showing on the site. Processing time starts counting from the day you submitted at TLS. |

Aisha07259: Hello I’m in the same situation as you at the moment..Did you eventually hear from them? How long did it take? You’re always advised to start your processing at least 3months before departure date. I applied for long stay art 40 on 15/11/22 and it’s been 8weeks without no information so I called and ask for hats going on. They told me it takes 12/13 weeks in total for decision. |

Ambitions11: Guys, I sincerely apologize for not being active since I dropped that question in regard to study in Belgium. Thank you @ restlessfeet and the rest who contributed to my post. Actually, there’s something I am working on since I have figured it out going to Belgium for study ones must authenticate and legalized his her credentials either for admission or the visa, but since I'm currently living here, I don't think it could be easy for me to come down to Nigeria for the legalization stuff and I have no one that could handle it with reasonable token. I have contacted many guys but the price it seems outrageous, and I can't do it anymore Hi, I’m currently in Nigeria and also processing my documents for Long stay visa. I’ve done all authentication and if you don’t mind, I can help you with the documents you need here in Nigeria |

Thank you. I’ve authenticated the documents but was just confused about the payment iyb: You will pay as a single document and don't forget you have to authenticate it at the National Population Commission first and attach the remita receipt for the authentication. |

Good evening sir/ma Pls sir/ma,I want to send my documents for legalisation but I’m a bit confused about the payment for legislation. Is the payment per pages or per document?? For example, my attestation of birth has receipt, original and remita. Am I to pay for each or it’s combined together as one document?? Thank you steminist: Hey, thanks for your response! How recent was this for you? I know in 2019 when I first applied for the D visa for my master's, it was a helluva lot faster! Now, I'm back to apply for a work permit (even with a letter from my employer enclosed in the docs with my PCC), and it's taking forever to just affix a stamp/seal on ONE document!
You mentioned you also recently legalized your marriage and birth certificates; what visa or residence status are you applying for? I'm looking to connect with others that are NOT applying for the D visa for studies, i.e., looking to connect with others applying for more permanent migration purposes (hope that makes sense).
PS: Just a cautionary tale to all the master's hopefuls here: administrative procedures in Belgium are AGONIZINGLY SLOW. So, prepare yourselves and work on your patience, because that country will test it over and over again. |

Did you remember to add a return envelope with the documents because I think that might be the cause of the delay but if you did, then you should call again because it takes 3 to 3 weeks max steminist: Hey, guys!
I saw on previous pages on this thread, where a Twitter thread with a WhatsApp group for those awaiting legalization of their documents was linked. However, the link is defective. Can someone please share a current link to join the WhatsApp group?
Or, if you have recently received your LEGALIZED document(s) back from the Belgian embassy in Abuja, how long did the entire process take? My PCC has been at the embassy since the 29th of June. I've called the embassy twice, but haven't been able to get any meaningful insight(s) as to when my PCC will be ready.
PS: I'm NOT talking about authentication at the MoFA. I'm strictly talking about the legalization process at the embassy.
PPS: Is there any thread or group for people applying for a single (i.e., work + residence) permit? I understand this thread is for those applying for a study (D) visa.
Thanks! |

Good evening y’all. Pls I will like someone to help me verify this document. I sent it for authentication at MFA last year but unfortunately I couldn’t apply for my visa last year. I just want to ask that is this how authentication looks or is it supposed to be a sticker. They used stamp and signed on the stamp
