Congrats on your newborn, can you kindly share doctor and hospital cost in New Jersey?I have a serious need for this information.I hope someone is able to help with your request too.
Thank you

I had my baby in Houston o...My flight to the US was through Newark hence the reason for my return to New jersey so I just want to use that opportunity and get the naija passport instead of visa.I used OakBend and Dr Fagbohun. Estimate of the delivery bill has been shared by T Vegas before but mine is as follows:
Dr Fagbohun- 1920( after the discount)
300( initial visit plus ultrasound)
580( for tests)

Oakbend- 2300(,vaginal delivery)
NICS Peadiatrician- 514
Brown and Associates- 79

I used pediatric centre for my baby's 2 days and 2 weeks follow on visit and they charged 108 and 96 dollars respectively.

I hope this helps.

Hello People,

Can someone pls help? I am in New Jersey and trying to fill the Nigeria Passport application for my baby but when I picked new York as the processing state a notification popped up that they don't have the 32 page passport available till further notice. I just want to find out if anyone in the house applied and paid for the 32 page passport recently despite the notification. Probably our naija embassy has forgotten to remove the notification cos I av been checking since I had my baby 2weeks ago.

Thanks.

You can put in other details, but leave out dates.

I did mine for 5k at Ikeja High Court.

Hello Phema,

Was it the same consent letter you used in applying for US passport you also used for naija visa/passport or u had to do 2 diff one.One for the US and the other for the naija thingy?

we were stamped b2 for 6 months
and this is the second time we are goin to US

If ur wife isn't showing yet or if she is just few weeks gone. You can both travel to the US for few days but not for delivery of the second child yet and don't go with ur US baby.Just travel for vacation so as to know what will happen at POE and if eventually u scale tru find a way to make that payment before your wife goes back to have ur second child. My 1 cent

hello everyone

here is my story and questions

me and my wife applied for our US visa in jan 2013 in dubai. and we got 5 years b1/b2. my wife was about 5 months pregnant.
At visa interview, consular officer dint asked any questions or any documents. interview lasted about 3 minutes.

we went to US in feb 2013. my wife was 6 months pregnant.
at point of entry in newyork, we got stamped for 6 months. no problems at all. cbp dint as about pregnancy, just asked about money and address of stay.i was having 9800 dollars

he had our first baby in may. before having our baby, i applied for medicaid with social services.
so all the hospital expenses was paid by the medicaid. and we came back to our home country we our US citizen baby

so now my wife is pregnant again
we have 3 years of visa left
and we are going again to US for our second baby

my question is:
will we get into some trouble this time?
at point of entry in jfk newyork, the cbp officer, will there be a red flag in this system or not
i mean : we used the medicaid before, will the cbp officer wil knew about the medicaid

we will be having 13000 dollars with us this time and a pregnant wife and a us citizen child

i ll also pay the medicaid every peny of it.
please help me out
i am desperately worried

Bros I have some questions for you;
1. When u went in 2013 were u stamped in B2 on ur passport or B1? If its B1 ,the CBP might not bring up the question of you having ur baby .
2.Have u visited the US again after that time? If yes then what was your experience like at POE.

My candid advice;
Try as much as possible not to go into the US with ur citizen child for now .Your wife should either go alone or both of you should.Hold the receipt for the doctors payment you made just in case you are asked but if you are not asked lucky you.I wish you all the very best .

If u eventually get into the US without hassles try and find out how you can refund the govt the hospital bill that was paid on ur behalf else you might never be able to take ur US child into the US urself.

Pls house I want to know if anybody here has used United airline and how much they charged for infant when going back to naija. As my flight is 21st of May. I called them but they were telling me is $789 for infant. Pls help a sister asap.

Don't buy a one way ticket for ur child.Buy a return ticket it is cheaper even though u know u r not using the return leg for the baby into the US. I used UNited airline early 2013 and I was charged less than 30k naira cos I paid with my GTB card..I cannot rem that amount in USD.

Hello everyone,

I find this topic so interesting and I wonder why I didn't come across it when I was planning to have my baby who is about 1yr+4months now. I had her in Westland, Michigan and d cost was around $6,000 though I stayed with my sister for that 3months period. I used Dr Anthony Udo, a Nigerian from AkwaIbom state who has been in the US for over 30years now. He proposed the Hospital (Oakland) and i had to pay upfront ($4500 for Vaginal delivery).

I had some complications on the d-day which could have led to CS but this Dr knew just what to do and thank God my baby came out healthy and cute. I must confess that I ate everything eatable in that hospital after my baby's birth; i ate and drank as if i had never eaten before.

Now, I have a question:

My Visa expires in July and I intend to go visit my sister for like 2weeks this month end, I want to know what to say in case i'm being questioned as regards my last visit which lasted about 3months as against the 2weeks that I told the Entry Clearance Officer. A friend of mine with a similar story was delayed at Abu Dhabi (Preclearance) with series of questions but she was eventually allowed to fly into the US. I'm flying Delta and the POE is Atlanta, I really wish to know how the airport security check is so I can prepare myself well to avoid any unwanted issues. My sister is having a baby and she wants me around.

Thanks people.

Since you were stamped in for six months, there are chances the CBP will not ask u how long u stayed cos u did not overtstay and if eventually they do ...you shouldn't try lieing cos the date u clocked out of the US is in the system( talking from experience o). Just say the truth about having a baby and REMEMBER to hold ur hospital receipt and zero balance letter with you so u can show them as proof of payment o...

Hi, was just about to share my POE story. It was God all through. my POE was Atlanta. I wanted to show my e-mail correspondence with Alicia but I was only asked why I was in the US, where I work, how much I had with me and my address. That was it.
Between I Don't underestimate the validity of what the POE officer stamped on my passport. Il attach the picture.

Hello ,it's 9th Nov2015...you were stamped in six months. Congrats!

Very bad reviews indeed! I rem when I was tryn to make enquiry from all the docs affiliated with WHMC and I called her no,the receptionist that picked the call was so rude and was telling me if I cannot wait till Tuesday to get a response to my email I shouldn't bother sending an email.I did not even waste time before canceling her out from my options.

Good day all, please for the Houston, Richmond, Sugarland mamas that have processed or are in the process of getting their baby's passport and have to use hubby's consent form from Naija, can I use a pre-notarized form from a court or other notary and go along with it as I travel? Or must it be from the embassy after baby is born? I hear different states have their own rules.

Hello,
Have u gotten any response..I also need to find out this information. Pls help a sister!
