Hello Qualified, I don't usually respond to blogs, but i feel i should today because this seems like a rampant problem. Some Nairalanders have made some important points such as questioning your dating history and your typical choice in men, points I believe are private to you but most be answered in your spare time. I just have one question: What are you looking for in marriage right now that makes you so desperate to want it at this juncture in your life? If its too private of a question you can email me at adeogunn@hotmail.com Take care and God Bless |
The issue here is not the sharia law in itself but those who are interpreting the law. Forget about Sharia law, because all faiths have their own legal system. Research the different religions and you will find them. So let's get that out of the way. The issue here is the corrupt nature of man be him muslim, christian, jew, budhist or whatever. Islamically it is wrong to give a woman to a man without her consent. Unfortunately this is what took place and as has been stated by one of the bloggers here, this happens in all areas of the country north, south west and south east. I may be wrong but i believe that the parents may have been looking for keys to status and wealth and so they gave their daughter to the senator irrespective of the fact that she was engaged to someone else that she loved. If this is the case then the parents have sinned against their daughter because they have usurped her own God given right. Unfortunately the judges were not courageous enough to speak the truth probably because of the clout that the Senator has. Understand that because a person says he is a Muslim does not mean that he/she performs in the right conduct just like you will not accuse all Christians of being bad because a priest sleeps with a choir boy. Man is a sinner by nature whoever he is, so label this as the injustice of man. |

HELLO NAIRALANDERS!!!! Men naturally are not bad neither are women. I will give a little advice to my boy about women. A man makes a woman into the true woman that she is meant to be, but you've got to know how to bring that person out of her. Yes its true! No woman wants a panzi, or so called goodie two shoes. A woman will not trust you if you just start being nice to her, because you could do the same to anyone else. Be a gentleman in all your encounters with her but you don't have to consent to everything she says, because she uses that to determine how genuine you are. I've got a lot of advice to give, but all in all I know that women make you into the man you are meant to be and a good and wise man makes a woman to be the loving person that she is meant to be. It takes work, but it definitely works. |

The first thing i will like to say, is that we should all be very critical about the information that we are given. When i say say critical, i mean we must search for a balanced perspective. We sometimes forget that we hear these stories from individuals like you and I, who have one bias or the other. So while i will not dispute the validity of this video, there are also many videos online which show the indiscrimnate killing of muslim civilians by military forces. There is a lot of evil being done by both sides, and their aim is to convince you that each others way is correct. All i know is that i will not be convinced to judge a religion or an entire people because of one video. Neither will i succumb to the hypnosis of this constantly replaying video until i have performed my own due diligence to investigate the whole truth. It is very easy to make a judgement when you do not know the entire truth, and that is the main reason for the excessive injustice we experience in the world today. In conclusion, let each and every reader educate himself/herself properly, otherwise a new religion of hate will dominate this beautiful world that God has given us. |
Seems like people took this the wrong way, so i've taken it down. I've got no issues, just read a lot of posts and gave my analysis. I apologize if i offended anyone. Peace ![]() |
I speak as a Nigerian man in response to this. I feel emphathetic towards you and sincerely pray that God may deliver you from the hardship you are facing. I however will state this point. Most Nigerian women do not know how to treat a good guy when they see one. When God blesses you with a good guy, you walk all over him, undermine, compare and downgrade him like he is trash even though he may treat you like a queen. When you now meet a person that treats you like "shit" you become weak and submissive and choose to stay with that person, whereas the person that treats you like a queen you dump. I have seen this many times and it has frankly become hard for me to feel sincere sympathy for most nigerian women when they find themselves in circumstances like this lady here. The question that comes to mind for me is "How did you treat the last person who treated you with love, dignity and respect". God is just and fair, and will not let a maltreatment that you have done to another person go unpunished. My suggestion for all you ladies is to appreciate the good that God blesses you with, because you don't know when the next "KNUCKLEHEAD" will come and scoop you up dressed as your "knight in shining armor" |
