You miss the point. The point is that if Kanu is calling for a referendum then he actually did nothing wrong.
How, when and where he gwts a referendum is a completely different thing, but the call its self, for a referendum, is not wrong and neither is it illegal you should have ignored the thing he's not worth it |

Yyeske: See IPOB miscreants all over the thread talking as if the Fulani herdsmen menace just started yesterday, where were they over the years when it was all going on, I guess Nnamdi kanu took them on a trip to Mars. Nobody supports the killing and destruction by them but why didn't you speak up earlier, I guess you spoke now because Nnamdi kanu made it an issue and because most IPOB miscreants still want the proscribed terrorist IPOB to remain relevant, they'd always want to attach the recent killings to their runaway god. there will be a great testimony the day you reason like an adult 1 Like |

Yyeske: Nnamdi kanu wanted a referendum that would just fall from heaven or how do you think he'll get it? If it could be that easy then I can request for a state in Nigeria, I'll be the governor and you'll be my deputy with our normal federal allocation every month, how about that? you can demand for what? a state when your family doesnt recognise your importance how will the larger community queue behind you I pity any fool who looks up to you for inspiration |

I knew you would say the above.
I lived with the Igbos for quite a long while, even now I still visit from time to time because I have a family in Imo State.
You may think all I said concerning the Igbos are tales of Nollywood, but I am not perturbed because you're at liberty to believe anything you want. From experience, I discovered that Igbos have nuclear grade envy for others that do better than them. If you eat meat pass dem, na problem. If you buy a car before they do especially when you are sharing the same facility, they get envious, to the point of arranging for hoodlums to steal the car so that you can be at per with them. One cannot hold the position of a market secretary when you don't share the same ethnicity with them. I remember back then in Imo State, out of envy, some Igbo traders reported my in-law to the authorities that he is dealing in illegal business after he indicated his interest to become the president of their trade union.....my brother, the list is endless.
This is no Nollywood cuz I don't even see their movies like I said you obviously be watching African magic ...your in-law was reported for what again? please stop this story cos this seems like tales you hardly see other ethnic group participate actively in anything outside their ethnicity so please we know where their problems lies and Igbo's don't envy intact yorybas do that the more 3 Likes |

ReubenE: Igbos and pettiness.
What is this supremacy battle with the Yorubas? I think both groups are confused.
Igbos have an inflated view of themselves and hardly live in peace with people outside their group. Get easily envious, runs to Dibia to truncate the progress of others. Have strong opposition to change except they are the creators or drivers of the change.....very hard working but legitimately and illegitimately. Igbos have great taste though unlike the Yorubas.
The Yorubas, have slippery relationship with the truth, they have phobia of all kinds and shapes. Very educated and can easily adjust to change and modernity. Anyone can live with them without the fear of intimidation unlike the Igbos that scare people with the dropping of white substance in front of somebody's door...... you don't know any shit about Igbo's .stop watching African magic 44 Likes 4 Shares |

Politics / Re: IPOB Loses Suit Against Nigerian Army To Produce Kanu. by adeolakemi: 2:25pm On Jan 30, 2018 |
zendy:
There is a big difference between calling for the killing of other people and actually going ahead to kill people.
Breach of the law must be an act, it cannot be just mere words. If a person or group calls for the killing of another, there are laws that regulate what happens. The person who made the call can be charged for criminal incitement, which most courts wont take serious since everyone has freedom of speech. The criminal justice system of most democratic countries, which Nigeria is amongst, are interested in what has been done, not what was said.
If the Nigerian courts were to prosecute everyone who has ever said they want to kill someone, every Nigerian would be in court or jail.
So the question of if a seperatist organisation called for the killing of anyone does not arise. If anyone calls for the killing of anyone, the authorities should take the person to court and let the courts determine if that call was wrong.
What is most important is if an organisation actually went on to kill people you are really wasting your time educating that dunce |

ycat: @ Op, this is not fair to Yoruba. It's on this nairaland people have said "Yoruba should come out and say they don't like to be insulted" because it took Yoruba a long time before we started responding to the insults. We don't need threads like this anymore as they don't always end well. I really want to believe this thread wasn't created for bashing but out of goodness of your heart and you just don't know any better. So if that's the case, you have to go to the root cause of the problem and then watch and see who is doing what here even now. For you to just lump everyone together is disingenuous and hypocritical. Prove me wrong please by watching this thread and others like it to see who is always the first to take a swipe and cheap shots at the other, and then update us on your findings. This shouldn't be a topic for anyone who has been on nairaland past two weeks, an honest person would know not to lump Yoruba and ibos together as far as tribalism on nairaland is concerned, one is launching offence by the hour while one struggles to respond to 1 out of 10 insults. Could it be that this is to completely silence Yoruba? It smells, looks and sounds like it. Should Yoruba now be doormat because Nigeria needs to be one? Let's learn to tell the truth always or keep our mouths shut. The day we start to tell the truth as it is, is the day we start to address the issue from the ground up. please check this a Yoruba boy just fired the first shot what do you say now? 2 Likes 1 Share |
