Mercedes Gwagon Was Set Ablaze

Ekiti state Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, has finally reacted to the fire accident that burnt his luxurious Mercedes Gwagon in Lagos.

Speaking on a monthly Radio and Television Programme monitored by INDEPENDENT in Ado-Ekiti, Fayose, who said he would neither be swayed nor distracted by the incident, also thanked God for saving his life.

He said;

“Some people went and set fire on my car. Anyway, I did not want to go into the controversy now. I am leaving everything in the hand of God because where there is life, there is hope. Who says I cannot even buy a better car?

A Nigerian lady identified as Poison Ivy, has said she cannot marry a man who lives on the mainland, as she’d rather be single, than to move with him to the mainland.

Poison Ivy stated this on her Twitter page, where she said;

“If marriage means moving to the mainland, I’d rather stay single. Thank you.”

It was not stated if she stays on the Island, but Poison Ivy has said she can’t date guys that reside the Mainland, like, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Mowe, Ibafo and the likes.

I don’t have the time. After your secondary school, did you advance to the university?

I didn’t want to.

Why is that?

I don’t know, maybe because I have spent a long time being an actor. I didn’t just want to go to school just for… ‘Okay she went to school’. I am going to school in a couple of years to study film. I figured if I have to go to university, I might as well do something I cared about. Get some experience and do something that I really, really love, something that I can actually use in my real life.

Ghana-Nigeria Music Fusion

Comedian, Koffi spewed hot words of caution on Nigerian artistes in his recent interview with Planet TV. The veteran ribs cracker talked about the lack of depth in the type of music circulating the industry. He blamed the trend of shallow album releases on the desperation of artistes in search for hit singles.

Speaking further, the comedian broached the issue of the Ghana-Nigeria music fusion which has caused Mr Eazi to enter the black books of Nigerian music lovers for his seemingly braggadocios statement.

In the interview, Koffi said Mr Eazi was right about his statement on pioneering the Ghana-Nigeria music fusion, against popular belief.

Talented Nigerian actress, Remi Surutu has revealed some interesting details about her life many people do not know about.

Nollywood actress, Remi Surutu has revealed in an interview that she worked as a mortician or undertaker at a funeral service company to make money.

The talented actress revealed this in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES in Lagos on Wednesday.

She said: “I kicked off my acting career in 1985 with the classic TV series “Village Headmaster” and “Sparks”. My first paycheck as an actress was N35 for my role in the movie “Sparks.” I also earned N75 for my role in “Village Headmaster.”

I then took a break from acting to work as a mortician at the popular funeral service company, Ebony Caskets. I returned to the Nigerian film industry after a few years.”

Having starred in over a 100 movies, Ms. Oshodi said she has paid her dues.

“One of the things I am grateful for in my career is longevity and continued relevance.

“I also think the fact that my parents exposed me to the best of education has made me the woman that I am today. I always tell people that the greatest gift you can give your child is a solid education.

“If I were an illiterate, I am sure we won’t be having this interview because I will be unable to express myself. I know that a lot of people are surprised whenever they discover that I can speak good English. I don’t blame them though, I guess that because I am a Yoruba actress, some feel I may be a dropout or unable to express myself in English.”

Back in July, the pretty actress lost her daughter, Elizabeth, to sickle cell anemia. Getting her to speak about her daughter’s last moments was not easy.

She however, revealed that she intends to immortalise her daughter very soon.

So, I was surfing through my Twitter timeline today when I came across a very deep and unappealing tweet about Davido, but as a blogger what more can I do than to put it up so we can discuss and iron things out.

I can bet millions of Nigerians will also have this same opinion believing Davido might know something we all don’t know as death of 3 close friends is quite shocking and strange. I don’t think something of this nature has ever happened in the industry at any point in time.

Debie Rise’ Father Held A Deliverance Session

When Debie Rise’s dad opposed her participation at the 2017 Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show, he was not joking at all. This, the singer has just revealed in new interview.

Recall that during the show, Debie revealed that she ran away from home to be a part the show because her religious dad opposed it. During the show, her father called Big Brother, demanding that the singer be sent back to Nigeria. When asked if she wanted to go back, Debie said “no!”.

Many people worried for her after the show ended, and luckily, when she called him upon her return to Nigeria, her father reaffirmed his love for her.

Nearly a week after their studio session, Mr Eazi went on his infamous Twitter rant about how Nigerian music is greatly influenced by Ghanian music.

Now it is safe to say that Mr Eazi’s tweet might have provoked Tekno because in July 2016, Tekno had released the biggest record of his career Pana, and it possessed elements of the Ghanaian influence that Mr Eazi had spoken about.

A month after Eazi’s twitter blow out, Davido released his debut single for 2017 – IF which was produced by the golden boy Tekno.

The instrumental progressions of IF also explored the very Ghanaian sound that Mr Eazi had tweeted about but both Tekno and Davido called it the ‘Pon Pon’ sound and insisted that the song was inspired by Duncan Mighty.

‘IF’ was inspired by Duncan mighty… don’t mind a remix later on with him.

You can say that Mr Eazi must have felt discredited because his Banku identity now has a variant and no credits were appropriated to him.

On the 9th of April, Tekno tweeted that him, Davido and Wizkid are the rulers of the music game. Was that a shot at Mr Eazi off the heels of his great 2016 run till date? Possibly.

Shortly after, Eazi released the visuals to Short Skirt and – you guessed it- Tekno was nowhere to be found.

Perhaps the most telling is Eazi’s latest shot at Nigerian musicians using his formula. It’s not out of order to assume that Tekno was in the long list of people he was talking about.

There have been reports that the P-Square brothers are currently registering wrongs against each other and it appears things have fallen apart between the two brothers, for the umpteenth time. The exchange of shades and subliminal messages between the two halves of a whole on social media has been much of the proof that the much-celebrated duo are currently going through a relationship breakdown.

However, one of the two brothers has given a more solid proof that ‘P-Square’ is slowly tearing apart. Paul Okoye, who operates on Instagram under the name, ‘Rudeboypsquare,’ replied a concerned fan that their tour to Canada and US ‘is not happening‘ and this is likely as a result of the current crisis going on in their camp.
