THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS

At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death .



At the time Crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst Criminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it was Even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike Other criminals condemned to death by Crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the Cross by His hands and feet.



Each nail Was 6 to 8 inches long.
The nails Were driven into His wrist. Not Into His palms as is commonly Portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that Extends to the shoulder.



The Roman guards knew That when the nails were being hammered into the Wrist that tendon would tear and Break, forcing Jesus to use His back Muscles to support himself so that He could Breath.



Both of His feet Were nailed together. Thus He was forced to Support Himself on the single nail that Impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could Not support himself with His legs because of the pain So He was forced to alternate between arching His Back then using his legs just to continue to Breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the Suffering, the courage.




Jesus endured this Reality for over 3 hours.
Yes, Over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of Suffering? A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water From his wounds.




From common images We see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound To His side... But do we realize His wounds Were actually made in his body. A hammer Driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped And an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But Before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and Beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the Flesh from His body.




The beating so horrific that His Face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The Crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men Would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood To bleed out, only water poured from His Wounds. The human adult body contains about 3.5 liters (just less than a gallon) of blood.




Jesus poured all 3.5 Liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His Members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond That, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His Chest.





All these without Mentioning the humiliation He suffered after carrying His own Cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his Face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, Only for its higher part, where His hands were Nailed).




Jesus had To endure this experience, to open the Gates of Heaven, So that you can have free Access to God.




So that your sins Could be "washed" away. All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation.




JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU!
He died for you! It Is easy to pass jokes or foolish photos by e-mail, but When it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to forward To others because you are worried of what they may think About you.

Judaism often recognizes Jesus as a good teacher, and perhaps even a prophet of God. Judaism does not believe that Jesus was the Messiah.



Taking it a step further, Christianity teaches that Jesus was God in the flesh ( John 1:1,14; Hebrews 1: . Christianity teaches that God became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ so He could lay down His life to pay the price for our sins ( Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Judaism strongly denies that Jesus was God or that such a sacrifice was necessary.



Jesus Christ is the all-important distinction between Christianity and Judaism. The Person and work of Jesus Christ is the one primary issue that Christianity and Judaism cannot agree upon. In Matthew 15:24, Jesus declared, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The religious leaders of Israel in Jesus' time asked Him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus replied, 'I am,' ... And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" ( Mark 14:61-62). But they didn’t believe His words or accept Him as the Messiah.



Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Hebrew prophecies of a coming Messiah. Psalm 22:14-18 describes an event undeniably similar to Jesus' crucifixion, "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." Clearly this messianic prophecy can be none other than Jesus Christ whose crucifixion fulfilled each of these details ( Luke 23; John 19).



There is no more accurate description of Jesus than Isaiah 53:3-6, "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all."


. The Apostle Paul, a Jew and a strict adherent of Judaism, encountered Jesus Christ in a vision ( Acts 9:1-9) and proceeded to become the greatest witness for Christ and the author of almost half of the New Testament. Paul understood the difference between Christianity and Judaism more than anyone else. What was Paul's message? "I am not ashamed of the gospel (of Jesus Christ), because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile" ( Romans 1:16).

This is a wrong info. The fire was as a result of electric surge from the house behind the bank which later on spread to the bank. Fire service did not arrive in time and that made matters worse. The bank don burn down before fire service people arrived.

Money no lost because the bank get vault. The safe was standing when the fire was quenched. It was later opened and CBN came later in the day to carry all the money.

Na people of that area I pity. If FirstBank decides not to continue operation there na real gobe for all of them.

Unpaid salaries: ASUU begins indefinite strike at LAUTECH - Friday 3rd June, 2017 -Punchnews



The Academic Staff Union of Universities at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has declared an indefinite strike to press home their demands for the payment of their eight months’ outstanding salaries .



The notice of the strike action was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of ASUU , LAUTECH branch, Dr. Biodun Olaniran and Secretary , Dr . Toyin Abegunrin , and made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Friday evening.




The lecturers and other workers at the university have been appealing to the governments of Oyo and Osun states to pay subventions to the university to enable the management to pay workers’ salaries but the pleas have not been heeded.





The notice of strike read , “This is to inform our members that the National Executive Council of our union has granted the branch the permission to resume strike action that was earlier suspended in February with immediate effect.



“Since the feasibility of holding a congress on the campus for now is doubtful , it is hereby officially declared that ASUU LAUTECH branch is on strike . ”



Students of the university staged public protest in Osogbo for three consecutive days last week asking the state government to fund the university in order to prevent it from dying .



The alumni association of the university had recently pleaded with the Federal Government to take over the university since the two owner- states were not ready to continue to fund it .



The Christians Association of Nigeria in Ogbomoso zone also called on the Federal Government to take over the running of the university in the interest of the students, whose future depended on the survival of the institution .

Residents of Oko, Surulere Local Government, Oyo state were thrown into confusion after the only Bank in the community (First Bank, oko) got burnt yerternight (01/06/2017)



The cause of the fire is yet to be known


Some said the, it's a plan among the workers in the bank, that they've packed the money and put fire in the bank themselves,


While some said it's as a result of spark electric wire, but only God knows the best,


It's indeed a tragic incident, 'cos this bank is the only bank in that community and Ejigbo Local government, osun state, one will have to take a 500naira bus before getting a commercial bank again,

JAMB is currently withholding 80,889 Results, and has said that all will be released before Admission for 2017/2018 Commence.



This brings the total of released JAMB Results at 1,606,901.

Prof. Oleyede pointed out that the results of candidates with "Super Rich" parents, who paid 200,000 for upgrade of results are still under investigation, adding that "Next year we are going to put electronic jammers in all the CBT centres.


They better start to think of another way because we know that is what they do and we will also plan ahead of them."



He said a total of 640 candidates could not write their exams because of Biometric Verification Issues. He said the issue has now been identified, and that this set of candidates will be made to write their own exams under his very own supervision.
He urged candidates who have problems with data to visit any JAMB-owned CBT centres for correction.



"Those who made mistake you will go and do the correction in JAMB CBT centres free of charge. We are not closing correction. Correction will continue. If you don’t have time now go next week or next month.



"At JAMB offices, they have been told to do the correction free once you have paid through TSA. Even the printing for you should be free," he added.

The University of Ibadan Senate led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka has suspended the Students’ Union of the institution indefinitely.




The suspension followed a special meeting of the Senate held on Tuesday, May 30 at the University’s Senate Chambers.



Olatunji Oladejo, director of public communications of the university, confirmed this to TheCable Lifestyle on Tuesday.



“The university senate met this afternoon to review all the activities that led to our current development so the university senate in its wisdom therefore decided that the student union executive council and student representative council activities be suspended until further notice,” he had said.





“All undergraduate students who were expected to leave the campus by 6pm yesterday but did not leave are now advised to comply and all the appropriate units in the university have been told to do the needful using the office of the dean of students and the dean of students using the hall wardens to ensure compliance.



“Postgraduate students are not affected by this decision, they are expected to continue with their research activities on campus. A panel is also set up to look into the processes that led us to where we are.




“The decision to call off the suspension will be taken by the university senate.”
Recall that the Management of the University of Ibadan had shut down the university on Monday, May 29 as a result of a protest held by the students over issues bothering on the use of hot plates and non-issuance of ID cards to the students.
