Letter of admission. In admission leter it's always stated d duration of ur study. Like MUN : our Graduate studies last for 1-2yrs while PhD last for 4years.

Your age is ur age whether u looks younger than your age or not. You should know d right thing to do. I advise u should go thru part 7,8n9 of this thread to see how u can deal with acadmic gap . Telling VO. U were once expel from university will be a suicide mission.

Hi peeps...i wanna say thumbs up to u guys for sharing all your experiences so far....its been really helpfull...I have a very perculiar case, perculiar in the sense that, i havent seen anyone with my kinda situation so far..Ill be 34years old by july 6th,but i look much younger than my age..26/27,i finished high school 1999. So i just got admitted to New brunswick community college to do a diploma course in Industrial Control Technology,...My major worry NOW is how to explain to the VOA the long gap between when i finished high school and now 2016.. ALMOST 17years now...I presently work in the broadcast media/tv industry though..I have been through the university, I graduated in 2007,but had an extra year,was involved in exam malpractice during my extra year and was expelled...i appealed countless times but nothing came out of it cos i knew no one....I started working in 2008 eventually, and ive been working since then....

Please guys...my major issue now is...is it advisable to state that i was expelled while in the university when talking about what ive been upto all this past 17 years in my SOP?, will this affect the outcome of my application negatively?will the VO deny me based on this fact OR should i not mention it at all?...Please guys...il appreciate your suggestions and advice please....This is really troubling me

In my opinion, he should send you inform of LOA and courier it. But my fear is that it'll take up to 3/4 weeks before u get it.
On the issue of work permit, don't apply for work permit for now, when you get to Cad you'll sort that out.

I want to ask please, cic asked for original letter of acceptance and I'm going through paper route. Does it mean that the school will courier an original copy to me. I have asked the school and they don't have any problem with it, only that they will need to edit the letter of acceptance they sent before because it doesn't have some of the information it must have according to cic specification. This may be a long post but please bear with me.

This is what they sent as per a corrected version:

To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is to attest that Chinwe with student number .... has been admitted as a full-time student to the Master of Communication at the University of Ottawa for the fall 2016 semester. The fall 2016b semester begins on September 6, 2016 and the registration for the 2016-2017 academic year begins in June 2016. The normal duration of this graduate program is one year but students may take up to four years to complete their program.
Tuition fees for the 2016-2017 academic year will be announced in the summer of 2016, however the 2015-2016 tuition fees amounted to approximately $21,000 for the fall, winter and spring/summer sessions.

This is a draft of what he wants to send on the school's letterhead. This was not the original letter of acceptance. My issue is this I dont know if this is applicable or if he should write it in the format of an LOA and include the information he included here and also the years needed shouldn't it be specific like 2 years. Please help me fill in the gap as I'm to get back to him to add or subtract.

Then also my program requires a co-op..do I add that now and apply for study work permit alongside my study permit or I should wait till i get there to do that.

Contact Accra office and also copy Lagos. I applied 30th November and got another medical call in January aside my upfront medical and got my TRV in January. Send them mail using below mail.

You can go ahead and apply. My class starts May. I applied Novemebr 30th and got my TRV January. If your school asked for school fees payment. Pay your Tuition fee b4 u apply and add the receipt to ur application as a supporting document to proof to VO that you mean business. All d best.

It's dangerous intead u can quote d business as unskilled business you aquired that contribute to ur income.

The only about the business is its name egistration. No transaction/job/contract has ever been carried out under the business name.

I only added letter of introduction from my employer and affidavit that explains all my financial income.

The medical fee is 28k.
You can use any authorized Hospital. I used IOM during my time and did upfront a month before I submitted my application. It doesn't matter. Medical lasted for 1yr.

I don't know the exact amount for Medicals
But then you just don't do Medicals at any hospital I think it's only children's practice ikoyi that is only approved for Medicals

I got admission in MUN without a supervisor and TRV is as well ready. I'll advise people get institution's policy before applying to such school.

Other gurus in d house should respond to this. My institution (Memorial University of Newfoundland) didn't ask me to get a supervisor before decision was taken on admission

did you secure a supervisor before given admission? As for my case, my application is completed waiting on admission decision but I emailed some supervisor but never secured one. Never got any email to secure a supetvisor at all cost. However, I have another friend that applied also but got a mail before all required documents received that she need to contact a supervisor within four weeks unless her file will be closed, the deadlines don laps now.
what's your comment on this ?

To notorize a document is different from coloured or black and white photocopy/scanning. When u notorize ur document , you make it authentic. Just close eyes and notorize ur document. Just an advise though

Not compulsory but it's good u do that. What it means is that u're telling whoever is going through ur document that what u're submitting is genuine

Don't submit original documents. If it's 10documents u want to notorize, beg d notary public lawyer with whatever you have. Some of them are considerate. During my time here in Plateau they even said a copy is 5k and I want to notorize 10copies that supposed to be 50k. I begged the man wt 8k and he collected.

Please do. Your school will surely reply you within 4 working day. Also attach the letter from CIC to the mail you're sending to ur school. it'll work in ur favour IJN
