thanks. the message doesn't sound official, that was my concern. VFS customer care line is not going through
oluswagger:
You paid for SMS notification remember?
At the point of submission, you'd be asked if you either want courier delivery or SMS notification. Your wife has probably opted for sms notification ..which means you are to do physical pick up. Heck! call the vfs to confirm. That would save you t-fare. Cheers

I left this forum a year ago, coming back to see the level of conversations going on here is discouraging. In recent years, people come here to get valid information. we do recommend people to read this thread for viable information.
i hereby call on the mod and super mod to do justice this issue of derailing and deformation going on here. My prayer to all of you aspiring to move to Canada is that you shall all share good testimonies.

you don't need to reach out to MUN. They will decide and reconsider your application between the end of October through early November. Goodluck

Vfs office is in Lagos and Abuja

Thank you.

Also I read that all Nigerians must give their biometrics and the service is only available in Abuja. Is it really compulsory to travel that far?

3. Very personal opinion based on experience- If application is positive, MUN are eager to communicate.

Have you seen those movies where the Actor travels a long way from home and is welcomed by a medium-sized good-looking young lady carrying a board with a name written on it ? That's an Airport greeter.
Do not expect a very cute one though smiley In your case, I don't think it's mandatory. You can decide not to enter your details on that link.

Hmmmmm!
Anyway I have not been active on this tread since late February. But I've mention IOM here. Even after my Upfront CIC still created IME for me to do medical , I only instructedd IOM To Transfer my medical info from my UCI to IME and they did that for me within 48hours free of charge

Tnx for the info.....IOM all d way, let me save myself 15k.

Better do. B4 it was 20k difference. Is thesame E-Medical sheet they're going to give you.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by AdexStudio(m): 12:44pm On Apr 12, 2016
No doubt about IOM. I used them last year for my TRV which was approved. They even have good customer relationship compare to Abuja Clinic.
steffans:

If it's on their site..
Go ahead...
Meanwhile, if you are going for an upfront medical.. There is a form d hospital fills online for you..

If they have that template pls have no fear..
It will go through...

That means Abuja clinics might go down with his price.. If the number of people going to his hospital reduces..

D guy enjoyed the monopoly for a long time..

Good day all. Happy to make my first comment on Part 10 of this tread. IOM Abuja is on the list of Medical center for Canadian Visa. I paid 28k November last year as against Abuja clinic 48k.

Name: IOM Migration Health Assessment Centre Abuja
Address: 4 Buchannan Close,
off Buchannan Crescent, off Aminu Kano Crescent,
Wuse 11, Abuja
iomabujamedicalbooking@iom.int
Telephone: +234 (0) 808 522 1427
+234 (0) 807 219 1122
steffans:

Dude, I didn't know IOM Abuja did Medicals for Canadian embassy..
I could have gone there.. Than burning a whole 48k on medicals in Abuja clinics..

But pls make sure they are on the list of hospital listed by Canadian embassy..

Goodluck!

Politics / Beat Amaechi Up If You See Him At Your Polling Centres - Wike Tells Voters Ahead by AdexStudio(m): 1:49pm On Mar 17, 2016
The feud between the Rivers State governor, Wike, and his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, gets tougher as both men throw taunts at each other in public.

Nyesom Wike and Rotimi Amaechi

The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike continued their mudslinging ahead of the re-run legislative elections this Saturday.

At the grand finale of the PDP campaign rally held at Ikwerre Local government area, Wike alleged that the party had uncovered an alleged plan by the APC to “swap original election result sheets on the voting day”.

Governor Wike, who flipped a list purported to be the list of INEC Returning Officers stressed that “INEC has recruited APC members as adhoc staff.”

The Rivers state Governor at the rally charged voters to beat-up the Minister of Transport if they see him driving around on election day.

Wike also stated that all the alleged plans of the APC will be resisted.

In his words, “We know their plans. They have arranged how to swap original results on that day. They want to do it Amina Zakari. Tell them we have passed that stage. Is this how Nigeria wants to change? We heard Amaechi will be moving from polling booth to polling booth. Let him try it. I will show him that I am the Governor of Rivers State. I challenge him to move around. If he dares come to anybody’s polling booth and you see him, beat him thoroughly.”

In a swift reaction, the Minister of Transport at another rally at Etche Local government area vowed to dare Wike on election day.

Amaechi said he will move around to show Wike that he was more powerful than him, adding that it was important to stop the Governor from intimidating the people of the state.

“Left to me, ordinarily I would have just voted at my polling unit on Saturday and go back to my hotel room but to show him I’m more powerful, I will visit his ward. I will visit his ward and call him Nyesom Wike. I don’t understand. He is just threatening you. He is intimidating you,” Amaechi said.

No we don't want to separate for any reason.
Our marriage is not even a year old.
I've read successful family applications on here.
Baby arrives in April and his course starts August
So we want to apply as soon as baby's intl passport is sorted.
He has study leave letter with assurance of return to his job for the 9 months course.

The money paid into my account doesn't increase my salary. My salary still remain thesame.
I did an affidavit in supports of my application.
Under which I explained the details. For instance:
1. That I acquired an informal skill in photography and digital media and this has served as a part time business for me and support my financial resolve to further my studies.
2. That entries/deposits into my account other than direct salary renumerations from my employer are payments for event vendor services undertaken by me for event photography, media coverage and related services at various times.
Hope that's convincing enough.

Good. But since you're expecting a baby, why can't you allow ur husby to go first? I mean file his own application use you and other family members and other things as as home tie, getting there he can apply for you to join him later. Rather than all of you applying together. If you are to do that, it means you and ur husband must have huge amount of money in your account to take care of himself, you and d new baby. Just my opinion though
hildarela:
@Adexstudio
Thanks for your reply

We won't include the inactive business details since he has a job he can use as home tie.
But just a little background information
My husband got admission to study graduate certificate in Computer network technician at Saskatchewan to start in august.
I'm going for the open work permit and we are applying together April/May.
I'm pregnant at the moment and baby arrives anytime in April so we want to wait for baby's arrival before applying.
I have a fairly successful business in hospitality sector and that's my own tie. I plan to state in sop that I want to go with him to support him as 9 months is a lot of time to stay apart especially with a new baby.
What do you think so far?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by AdexStudio(m): 3:04pm On Feb 19, 2016
Sorry for d mixup in my reply . I actually wanted to reply to other post.
If you're desperate u can't get TRV. the secret to TRV is good packaging and PRAYER.

Why are you giving this kind of advice? Ask for what details? He/She did not get a mail, it was found to be dispatched through tracking.

3 things could av happened
1. May be they sent u a mail n u didn't get it.
2. May be it entered into your spam message.
3. Refusal
Go to where you submitted (biometric center) and ask for the dispatched Documents . If they said they have not received anything of such mail the Embassy n Quote ur application number, DOB ,PN etc
