Hi, what course did you apply for and when did you get your rejection letter? I applied for MA English and I have a 2.1 in English and haven't heard from them yet. I mailed the secretary yesterday and she replied today that she will contact the graduate chair to know when decisions will be made. Apparently, they haven't made their decision yet. I'm just curious about your particular department but I know they accept second class upper. If it's a medical course, chances are they received too much applications because that's the strong point of the University of Saskatchewan. I'm scared as well though.

God will make a way. Hope you have plan B though.

Do you think it's a bad idea to get 1. SOA and 2. payslips even if I'm gonna be using it next month? 

PS. He runs an Insurance Company

4. CAC docs, Tax clearance certificate ‎
5. Sponsorship letter, affidavit of Sponsorship, sponsorship declaration 

Will these suffice from my sponsor's end? 
NB. I'm not sure I can prove my relationship with him, he's my paternal cousin (different surname). We share the same great grandparents. ‎

Bros, this one pass me and stage I dey o. But based on my knowledge and if I am the one. I will ensure SOA don't pass 2 weeks before submission. Will try to get a documented link of me between us or a strong letter from him. Might even consider is company sponsoring me if I can prove my work is related to coming back to control it or get a better position in it. All in all, we need the gurus on this. Gurus! Pls help us to solve this and learn.

My liver Almost cut when I saw "you have been placed on wait-list" from UofM. Even first class cert no dey do am again. Heard of MUN rejecting 9ja First Class o. God will give us the good news we desire. I pray Regina admit you. However, seek other schools that offer other season admission once March ends for better standing. That's my plan. Awaiting UofT and UofRyer too. God will do it. Amen!

The difference between your undergraduate program and this new one need serious SOP and prayer for them to untick purpose of study. All in all, don't forge documents. Just think and pray to see untapped opportunities around you. You may want to ask for refund of your sch fee payment if possible. Then, take your time to plan those things and apply to your undergraduate related course. You may want to check the newly trending champ "uni of Ottawa". All in all, you can't quit like that. You can only pause to plan well.

Thanks. Deadline for international fall applicants in my course(geography) has passed but not winter (May). I see they have nice funding with less fees compare to other Ontario uni. You just gave me another option, although I await decision from some uni. Thank you. God bless!

Hello guys, one more thing e da kun o, I have like a year gap to bridge in my application....graduated 2013, finished service nov 2014...ever since no any major activity going on, was supervising some family projects.
Please can you tip on how to close the gap...I intend contacting friends whose parents have companies, to act as a referee that I was intern at their company between that period...but I am not sure if that would work, I read on here they now contact employers and sponsors....can you guys tip me please...many thanks

Oga There's nothing wrong with the offer letter being included... I've read this thread for a while and see how peeps respond like they are visa officers themselves, the fact is there isn't any consistency in the canadian visa issuing process... what works for Mr. A may not work for Mr B... Its like a lottery. I can't imagine submitting all these documentation and still get a visa refusal. Then peeps come here to make excuses for the inconsistent Visa officers., everyone has a right to change career paths whenever u so choose. But in Canada its a red flag., that's bullocks i say.
If you really have money and wanna study pls go else where. Try newzealand or anywhere in Australia/Asia (China or Hong Kong) that is if u have money ooooo!!!

I'm in the process of getting admission and I just received the message below from my school although I am yet to respond.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies has received our recommendation and have indicated that they require a bank statement that provides proof self of funding for one year’s tuitions and related fees and cost of living which is $27,303 Cdn. This may be provided electronically. So we can complete the processing of your application could you provide proof of funding at your earliest convenience.

How do I tackle this?

Is it okay to ask my sponsor to lodge money in my account in this case, or I get my sponsor's SOA with an accompanying letter?

And does time frame of the SOA really matter here?

EDIT: There was a commitment letter by my sponsor in my application for admission.

Please, your kind suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think your sponsors statement would do the magic. He/she already committed him/herself through a letter. Therefore, They will expect bank statement from your sponsor and not you. Lodging isn't advisable I think. Not sure. Let the gurus shed more light.

1. My intended Masters is in Public Health while I graduated with a first degree in B . Agric with specialisation in Animal Science. The different degree background

2. Am thinking I've stayed out of school for too long to go back. This wouldn't be an issue but considering the way VO thinks, it's now a concern.

3.My intention to go with my family... which should have Ordinarily serve as my social ties home.

4. My new job that is less than 3months.... It seems to me I can't use its account as my SOA because I've not save enough money there.

5. If someone trsf lump sum to me will it not count against me?

6. My wife is working in civil service.

7. How do I make Good use of a property that was inherited and I developed it. In fact currently living there. Can I use as economic ties?


I've already applied for admission and currently waiting for acceptance and offer from the school.

If I were you, I will ensure the MSc program is related to my course and or new job. I will use my family as tie but call them in once I enter. I don't dump money into account at this stage. A guy advise how to go Pro about that. Read previous threads. I will ensure I have genuine papers to prove I own the property. I will see if I can apply to two more schools related to my job or undergraduate study. #JustMyTake. #NotVisaGuru. #NeverApplied4Visa. #SeekingAdmission.

I wanted to confirm if NGN 791k in a bank account will be sufficient to visit ones spouse. I had earlier stated in my letter that I will be staying with my spouse and her letter says same too.

Good morning, please i need your help concerning making the right choice between applying for a graduate certificate program in Durham ( 1 year) and a MSc. in University of Regina (2 years). I am yet to apply for this two but i need the one that will be more ok for me cos i plan to stay back after my studies to work. NB: I already have an admission to study an Advanced Diploma Certificate program (3 years) in Seneca but now i felt it's going to waste my time, reason why i wanna apply for either of the two above. You need support of professors for admission. Don't think they give the admission themselves. But their support means you 90% in, if not more.

Now, Google the program in the schools. Know the program by reading about their admission criteria. Search professors working on the specialization you interested in. Read their profile and researches. Send them a convincing email about how your profile and proposed research is a good match for their supervision and support.

Embrace yourself for rejections and no reply. But you can do it with faith, convincing email and proper planning. Thank you.

He sent this below sometimes ago

 This would be in the form of a teaching fellowship ($6000 to teach a laboratory class) or a direct bursary between $6000 to $11,000 for one year, renewable once.
My research grant application, if successful, may also be able to support you by paying you a similar amount as a stipend, I will hear about that grant application in April.
