Economy discussion is difference from buying and selling discussion

Take note

The buying and selling discussions as far as Nigeria's Forex is concerned doesn't follow any known financial, economic and trade rules.

Have you wondered, what exactly was Nigeria exporting when the exchange rate was low? Let's even take the most recent...#350 to a USD...

Has our export increased now compared to then or our export has reduced

If the argument of increasing exports to attracts more USD is valid.....what exactly are we exporting years ago that we have stopped exporting that brought about the fall of Naira

..and from the Ops question, are we saying there were loads of export in less than 24 hours which has resulted into more USD inflows into the and then Naira gained as a result of this

My point is, Nigeria's Forex market is unstable for now and there is no known economic reasons that can explain why

When you are matching your exporting rate with importing rate, your local currency should gain strength.

It's all about which one is demanded most at the moment

Other factors are also involved

Nigeria's economy especially the Forex market, at the moment doesn't follow any known rule!

That's the truth.

Anyone telling you this is what is happening using classroom and textbooks known knowledge is deceiving you

With the way Nigeria is currently structured, any sitting executive that loses any election in which hes a candidate in, is a big, stupid fool. How can Lucky not be leading when he has state resources at his disposal.

Thats why i laugh whenever all these gbajue people always talk about 2027.

No merger can oust Tinubu. Tinubu is not foolish and weak like Jonathan. Atiku himself knows its time up for him already.

The best time to stop Tinubu was last election because rumor had it then that even Buhari was not in support of him.
But Obi and his children just made it easy for him. Obi did Tinubu a lifetime favour.

As for 2027, just forget about it

Congratulations to Lucky and yea, i will soon be Lucky

This is not correct...it all depends on several factors of which being an incumbent is just one of those factors.

Akinwumi Ambode lose his second term primaries in Lagos.

Late Abiola Ajimobi lose his bid to be a senator in OyO State..

In 2023 general elections, many sitting governors couldn't make it to the Senate.

panthers doesn't exist in Nigeria so why name then panthers? we all saw how Iran defended it's national assets and airfields from Israeli missiles and drones, does the the Nigerian air forces have the equipment and training to defend our airports from foreign missiles using an air defense system? the answer is no because we don't have an air defense system despite all the money been budgeted for defense since 2015 by the APC government, we should stop celebrating nonsense in this country.

Everything is not about shouting....Nigeria has air defence system.

There are loads of short range air defence system in Nigeria and a couple of midrange defence system

"The analysts noted that positive exchange rate changes take time to trickle down to the prices of consumer goods"

Nothing like the above...we are just being wicked to ourselves!

When exchange rate shoot up, sellers immediately jack up their prices...even those with old stocks bought at reduced prices..

Now, when exchange rate is coming down, we are saying sellers have old stocks bought at high prices and will take time to come down

Why not the same rule when the exchange rate went up and they increased prices of goods bought at old rate

We never ready.

Most applicants are residents and schooling in Lagos...but will fill their State of origin as different from Lagos.

How can we justify most populous state not having highest numbers of applicants..when we all know the population of students that will write this exams in Lagos is the highest

When Lagos State government begins implementing policies solely for her Indigenes now, we will be shouting.

This is why I believe State of residents should be used in filing forms instead of State of Origin to enable State Governments prepare well for their residents.

This country...

Majority of the high ranking very rich Nigerians are career politicians...they don't have meaningful investments anywhere..

The hard working Nigerians and organisations in this sector doesn't have the capacity to own such huge vessels yet...and lenders would prefer to give loans to career politicians (obviously they know they will embezzle to pay back..payment is guaranteed) than private investors that are ready to take market risks.

Raf4:

My point is that after Olubadan Odulana from Otun side, the next in line was Balogun side and that was what happened in the case of Aje Ogunguniso, who eventually became Olubadan from Balogun line. They didn't cross to Otun line to pick Olubadan because of deaths of his seniors in the same Balogun line. If Kuye (Otun) hadn't died, it would still not have stopped Aje Ogunguniso from becoming Olubadan because it was the turn of Balogun line.

May God grant High Chief Olakulehin longevity and perfect health.

I would have loved this to be tested again...and we will see if the next Olubadan would have been the Otun Olubadan Oladoja or the Otun Balogun who is next in Balogun line after Olakunleyin.

Let's stop the back and forth.

This is not correct...This is the New central Olubadan Palace being constructed by Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes and Government

It's true that most high chief have their own palaces...but this particular one in the picture is being constructed at Yemetu Agala...it will be a central palace .. irrespective of who becomes Olubadan.

If you read the link you attached very well, you will understand that Omiyale from Balogin line was to succeed Odulana from Otun line. But his death paved way for Omo Aje Ogunguniso from the same Balogun line to become Olubadan. It was never shifted to Otun line.
Lekan Balogun succeeded Omowale Kuye as Otun Olubadan, and eventually became Olubadan in place of Kuye from the same Otun line.

Oba Aje Ogungunniso wouldn't have become an Olubadan ahead of Kuye...with the demise of Omiyale.
Either would have been Olubadan ahead of him.

There is no double promotion...you can't jump a line
Culture / Re: Ladoja Faults The Position Of Some Ibadan Chiefs On Olubadan Stool by adioolayi(m): 11:35am On Apr 11
Raf4:

You need to do proper research b4 coming to public to provide inaccurate submissions.

1. Oba Ogundipe Arapasowu came from Balogun line not Otun line as you mentioned here. He succeeded Oba Emmanuel Adeyemo from Otun line.
2. Oba Samuel Osunlana, who succeeded Ogundipe, was from Otun line, not Balogun as you stated.
3. Both Omiyale and Omowale Kuye were juniors to Osunlana. They were only seniors to Aje Ogunguniso, but they both died early to pave way for omo Aje Ogunguniso to become Olubadan.

It has never happened in the history of Ibadan that they moved from one lineage to another because the next in line died before coronation. Even if the next in line dies b4 coronation, the next most senior in that same lineage will be promoted and then crowned the Olubadan.

The 2nd in command of Olubadan is Otun Olubadan and Balogun of Ibadan land.

An Otun Balogun or Osi Olubadan CANNOT become Olubadan before the two. It's not possible
Culture / Re: Ladoja Faults The Position Of Some Ibadan Chiefs On Olubadan Stool by adioolayi(m): 10:41am On Apr 11
Raf4:

You're still wrong.
Until the most senior in Balogun line is crowned now it can't move to Otun line.
If anything happens to Olakulehin b4 his coronation (God forbid), it won't go to Ladoja/Otun line, but the Otun Balogun will become Balogun and then be crowned as the Olubadan. But if Olakulehin is crowned today and something happens to him the following day or even some hours after his coronation, then Otun ie Ladoja will become Olubadan.

Don't alter history...if Olubadan in waiting dies...crown moves to the other line.

The most Hugh ranking chiefs are Balogun and Otun Olubadan...the senior is determined by which line the sitting Olubadan is from...if he is from Civil...Balogun will senior Otun...if he is from Military...Otun will senior Balogun.

It's not possible for a 3rd ranking chief to upsurp a second ranking chief.

So, the likes of Otun Balogun and Osi Olubadan CANNOT become Olubadan ahead of a Balogun or Otun.. simply because of the turn of their line and the person ahead of them in their line die..No..it goes to the other line first

Tell us what happened ooo.
To my best of knowledge, when Olubadan Arapsowu from Balogun line died, Samuel Odulana from Otun line became Olubadan.
Omiyale and Omowale Kuye you mentioned and some other high chieves were next in line to become Olubadan after Odulana, but they all died b4 him and this actually fast tracked the ascension of Omo-Aje to become Olubadan from Balogun line. They didn't give it to Lekan Balogun who was from Otun line and senior to Omo-Aje.

Na...they were Odulana seniors...
Both were Otun and Balogun to Arapasowu.

Odulana became Olubadan because both died before installation after the death of Arapasowu.
