ufotunang:All what you have written is true...except that you didn't give your opinion on possible way out. As things stands....the Turaki faction are legally out of PDP as at today, unless appeal court says otherwise. That's why they seem not to be at an advantage in this situation. So, political dialogue is the way out |
Makinde and Turaki faction of the PDP, should, as a matter of urgency, seek political reconciliation with this Wike and Damagun faction. This is the only sane thing to do at this time...else, the entire structure of the PDP will be in Wike's hands. Bitter ..but the truth |
May Nigeria prosper. God bless Nigeria |
Life is always beautiful on the other side. Only if all these beautiful observations and ideas were implemented at the State level...Anambra would have been the go to template for the rest of this country by now. It is what it is |
..but that's the truth na. APC Muslim -Muslim ticket is a political calculation and by and large, it won them that Presidential elections of 2023. So, can anyone really say the combination didn't work Of course, it worked. |
I'm Kukutente23:I am not discussing Nigeria's multifaceted issues. We are discussing how a governor can fight godfather, Federal might and other political forces. The first rule is to have the backing of his state assembly. No Governor can succeed without having the figures necessary to decimate the the number required by the constitution to impeach him. This link below is on Ameachi....just 6 law makers were against him..he has over 2/3 on his side. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/137140-amaechi-rivers-assembly-members-in-secret-meeting-as-lawmakers-pledge-loyalty.html?tztc=1 |
Dalohad:All you have written are conjectures.. without proof. A political forum like this, issues are analysed intellectually based on verifiable information before us. The information before us is that a Federal High Court in Abuja gave a judgement, restraining PDP from going ahead to conduct convention in Ibadan. They went ahead in deviant to court judgement. Now, a FHC in Ibadan has ruled against that actions of disobeying court order. That's the fact before us and not conjectures. Conjectures are discussions meant for beer parlour...not a political forum like this. I hope you have learnt something |
Richie6:Yes please Leave ..and leave without taking along his benevolence |
Nackzy:Politics is not emotions or sentiments.. This is pure law... Nothing stops Makinde's faction of the PDP from obeying that restraining Court Judgement |
idonhammer:Fubara na the easiest... Except he controls the State Assembly..else, he is gone |
The man Wike .... We have talked about it here, countess times.. He is a rugged intelligent politician that picks his fights carefully.. He somehow ensures he is on the right side of the law and uses this to his full advantage. Somehow, Wike has beaten Gov Seyi Makinde at his backyard in Ibadan. Pure politics. |
Kukutente23:I think you didn't follow the happenings in the situations you mentioned. Obaseki didn't even allowed the swearing-in of the lawmaekrs not loyal to him. They were 14 in numbers. They never got sworn-in ..so how can they legislate. That's political fight I was talking about. Alia has more than 2/3 of the house loyal to him...at some point...news reported those not loyal couldn't get vehicles and constituency allowances ..while others got. So, he has loyal members of the house of assembly. Same with Ameachi...he has his loyal house of Assembly members. It's only Fubara, for the first time, I will see a Governor that cannot control atleast half of the State House of Assembly embarking on a political fight against a politician that has control over the Assembly. Come'on....Gov Fubara cannot win this kind of fight. |
gare:It's not about God. It's about politics...political godfather and godson. It's a different playing field devoid of mortality, emotions and sentiments. It's ruled by selfish interests |
Richie6:You can't eat with the devil and decide the terms. This runs will have to finish and he will then go and try on his own in a clean slate |
Leonardo4:Political battles are endless. There will always be fight when one party's selfish interests are threatened. There is nothing wrong in fighting...but when you want to do, you have to be an astute, well coordinated fighter! In all the examples you have cited, which of them doesn't have the backing of 2/3 members of their State House of Assembly with them ![]() You now see how to fight a political battle It's not on the social media...it's for astute politicians not neophytes! |
I love Gov Soludo's approach.. If you want to sit at home....fine...we will help you sit at home by locking your shops for a long time...so, you have the fullness of the sit at home. Na potential hunger dey reset their brains now. ![]() |
Fubara can't run again. Politics is not morality na dirty game where parties engaging in it are there only for their selfish interests. A godfather cannot invest heavily to protect his interests, and the godson renege ... thinking he has matured. Not in politics! No godfather will take it lightly...I am certain President Tinubu understands this ,.and perfectly so. APC cannot save Gov Fubara. It's not emotions or sentiments...these things doesn't count in politics. It's purely game of interests. Gov Fubara should be allowed to finish this tenure in peace and go home. Agreement is agreement |
Na the same nonsense we dey always bring to National issues.. Religion!!! We are so religious that every venue of religion gatherings, from NASFAT to RCCG, to WINNERS to AWARUDEEN to whatever are always jam-packed with Nigerians.. So, who exactly dey do bad things for this country ![]() Abeg, remove religion from our institution jare! Sharia Council and CAN should gerrout! |
And this party have been at the fore front of picking the ruling party on this terrible syndrome of "anyhowness" rampant in our society. So, what change will they really bring, if they can't also do due diligence ![]() |
This ship don sail tale tale.. The NASS should be talking about amendments if necessary.... All these rhetorics on different versions and all no cut anything...the law is being implemented |
LagosOrigin:You know nothing about politics in Nigeria ..stop using the word Fact! |
Rigging wey happened in South East in 2023 general elections was unprecedented. Na massive rigging wey never happened before in elections history in Nigeria.. A party scoring over 90% in the States... Massive...very massive |
Which of the points the man listed is a lie ![]() Let's burst his lies |
APC is getting stronger and the opposition that we expect to give viable opposition is busy with internal politics.. We are all witnessing the build up to 2027 general elections....as things stands now, without emotions or sentiments..do we really think the opposition is ready as at today The resounding answer is NO.I hope at the coming weeks, sound reasoning will prevail, they will drop their selfish interests for a common goal and align with a sellable candidate that can defeat the incumbent. As things stands as at today...APC wins in 2027 |
E be like say spiritual atonement is needed on this bridge.. ...and na this same bridge millions of people do pass to spiritual camps- NASFAT, RCCG Camp Ground, Mountain of Fire, Deeper life camp, Christmas Embassy Camp and so on.. Make dem gather strength and do spiritual cleansing for this bridge na |
Stephen0mozzy:If the Adeleke decides to press for charges now....Aunty Kemi go dey beg like hen wey rain beat .. Honestly, she needs to be thought a lesson...just that she no fit keep quiet ![]() |
"Oliseh argues that Osimhen’s public outburst at teammate Ademola Lookman disrupted the team’s spirit at a critical stage of the tournament.'' Flawed argument... What was the Super Eagles result in the match they played right after the incident ![]() |
Sentiment and Emotions aside...this is a fair response from the Chief Judge. It's not about for or against Fubara...it's the law. |
"The reason nobody raised ethnic sentiments over Sujimoto is simple: no one accused an entire tribe of fraud based on the actions of Olasijibomi Ogundele." Oh...please! We all know what Reno was talking about.. This rejoinder no cut am.. Op ..try again |
This death trap finally got well deserved attention... The shortest route from Southwest to the North. Well-done to President Tinubu and Minister Umahi |
EponObi:Very spot-on.. No need to attach any sentiment or emotions...na consensus fit help him |
Of course, it worked.
