Politics / Re: Accountant-General's Office Holds Workshop In London by adioolayi(m): 1:38pm On Mar 13
Something is wrong with our leaders!!!

See the nonsense excuse "resource persons are based in the UK"...

So, these leaders don't have a thinking cap to know it's less expensive to fly-in the resource persons than for legion of government participants to fly to UK, lodge in UK, eat foreign foods and collect estacode

Nkan se wa gidi gan ni o (something is serious wrong with us)
Politics / Re: Lagos Sensitizes Nigerians On Railway Safety by adioolayi(m): 7:25am On Mar 13
Who attended this sensitisation programme

Hope the leaders of various Artisans association, market leaders, Road Transport Union Leaders, the CDA Leaders , School Principals were invited ..so that they can pass same information down the ladder and sizeable numbers of Lagosians can be covered.

If you go invite only people wey dey wear suits up and down for this very important safety meeting....you have done nothing.

Is NGN1 yesterday NGN 1 today

The fact Volkswagen was NGN 300 at some point, does it mean everyone can afford it at that time

I agree, Nira has depreciated over time...it's a sad one...but brining this kind of analogy no cut am.

When NGN 20 M was $ 5 M ...how many people have these money in their account back then..both in Nigeria and USA

If you have received a bursary before...you will understand the feeling..

It's beyond that money... it gives that notion that "my state governor knows I am here" kind of feeling.

Well done to Governor Abiodun

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo..

Happy birthday to you Sir.

Caveat: I don't agree with what Olukayode Bakare wrote..."Favourite Politician"...for me, Prof. Osinbajo is not a politician.
I will describe him as a seasoned technocrat that the politicians can't do away with, hence, he found himself at the centre of politics and corridors of powers.

Collins4u1:
it's obviously the user does not know how to navigate the optimization setting. this battery saver setting on xiaomi phone made provision for that.

When someone does not know their way through a product they should research.

Xiaomi phones is the best phone I have been using since 2017.

The is a very weak and watery defense..

A product should be very simple to use!

So, every phone users are tech savvy or what Are you saying Samsung phone users, for example will have to be looking for ways to optimise their phone performance

You are simply saying Redmi is not for millions of Nigerians that are not tech savvy ...if Redmi cannot be designed, developed to regulate itself and give users optimum performance..then it is not for the masses

HIPOSOCRATES:

Did you say the same thing in the case of the internal Affairs Minister despite the fact that he had resigned his directorship from the company since 2018?

Hypocrisy. ..
Minister of Interior is a public officer that must adhere to code of conducts as spelt out by code of conduct bureau.

Access Bank is a private organisation...the wife's company is also a private organisation....they have nothing to do with Code of conduct bureau.

So, the two instances are not same

The NGN 30,000 minimum wage, how many State Governments and Private organisations are paying

NGN 500,000

Labour should be serious please...and this time around, should not be about Federal Government workers alone..they should ensure full implementation by all employers of Labour in Nigeria.

So, what's the news here

The wife has a reputable company, won contract and was financed by Access Bank..

I can't see where this news is saying the company is not solid enough to pay back the loans or the loans were given without due diligence.

So, because her husband is Access Bank whatever...she can't look for loans from them or what exactly

Let see how he riggle his way out of this.

He will be forced to drop any primary election suit or get impeached.

For this aspect of food scarcity..we can comfortably adjust.

:PGo back to Egbo and Ewa, Ekuru, Moinmoin, Alapa, Amala, Eba, Iyan, Ogi

Do away with Indomie, Rice and Spaghetti..

We kuku no dey eat them years back..na civilisation put us here.

Modified:

Loads of mentions because I said civilisation put us here.
My comment is not saying civilisation is bad, it is just to open our eyes to loads of things we have missed along the way.
We have all sold out forefathers arable farm lands to build Estates and Mansions...some to worship centres..for those that can salvage anything...go back to farm!

Substitence farming was our thing in Yoruba land..and I know it's same in almost every party of the country...many house holds can easily grow everything I listed up there for themselves..

If you are into white collar job...empower your extended family members to grow for you...after all, our great grandfathers have farms that cater for their grownup children families in the cities.

It's a very hard time...requires hard time measures.
