That’s between him and God, don’t mess up yourself and lose both ways.

But if anyone does not provide for his own family, especially for his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Same way I have a reason to say what I said. Let me exercise my right to be “stupid” in peace.

“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.— Ephesians 6:2-3

Don’t give Satan an advantage. He’s always looking for legal ground and this thread is a good evidence for him.

Followed you, send me an inbox.

Sire, I'm extremely appreciative of this your input. It's set me thinking for a while.

As someone in the game, you won't mind giving me your contact or a medium I could get closer to get your leads more abeg...

How to go about your opinion and stuffs like that look quite ambiguous to me.

Unsolicited advice alert!

Just look for an internship and grow from there.
Alternatively you can skip that, start something that solves a real problem and raise funds.

If I were to advise my younger self, I will pick the latter. You are very unlikely to ever become wealthy coding for a salary.

PS: I have been coding for almost 20 years, I have seen both money and lack thereof

haybhi1:
Tensazangetsu20, regards from here, comrade. How's it going with you?

Guy, make I make some enquiry from you. I recently graduated as a software engineer via ALX. Of course, it was rigorous and I learnt a lot and can handle projects now.

But of course, I dey naija... and I need work badly. How do you suggest I go about it, abeg?

I go like get employed on work from home terms, particularly.

Looks like you know about these things, throw in your inputs too abeg

TravelRe: Migrating To Lithuania by AdisaMighty: 5:10am On Apr 18, 2025
Did you eventually go?
Vdjustice:
For Japa reasons, my partner and I gained admission into Lithuania for 2 years masters study programme. We have a total life savings of 25 million naira that we want to use for tuition payment, travelling and housing.
Recently, I have been hearing not so good comments from people about how difficult it is getting a job to sustain during schooling and even after schooling in Lithuania due to language barrier, not so good economy, no money and the likes.
How true is this please?
Please I need advice from a wider view so we don't have cause to regret migrating to Lithuania.

Send an email to them. They will mostlikely resolve it.

Hello all, please I scheduled appointment for my mom for April 17 (Lagos), I used an email I don't access frequently, unknowingly the rescheduled it for April 9th in Abuja and I only got to know on the 10th, basically missed the appointment. Thanks, in my own case they called me and sent me an email. It seems they have fixed most of the problems on their platform now.

Give it a day or 2, you will see it by clicking on the Appointments menu. Keep checking consistently
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 3:57am On Mar 29, 2025
Don’t pay for a new MRV yet. Mail the guys at LagosNIV/Abuja center, they will sort it for you. In my case they just mailed me a date (good date). I did not need to schedule one. Take note I was for IW and our payment issues are different.

Also it might take them a month to reply you and there is an email format for lodging the complaint.

Seanchuk:
hey Tolu i am also experiencing the same issue on my portal when i click the pending appointment request it just keeps spinning. I also purchased my gtb mrv last year july and linked it to my old cgi portal.

So you called me a parasite because I stayed in someone’s mansion, did it cross you mind to ask about how I got the connection.
who is in your own network?
And South Africa is an achievement to you😆

I get hosted even in the US, UAE etc by friends, I have valuable network. I also host people in my house here. And FYI, I live in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Lagos.
StoryHaven:
Helping who?
Have you helped yourself?
Abegi!
TravelRe: Am Moving To Senegal by AdisaMighty: 3:28am On Mar 26, 2025
To think I was considering helping you. I rest my case.
StoryHaven:
As if you spent your own money while in Senegal. grin

With your own hand your typed and said you stayed with a wealthy family. Parasite.
I guess they paid your fare too, whether by road or air.
Guy I spent my own money and I stayed in Darkar. Peterson side.
Abi dat na rural area of Senegal?

Parasite.

I was in South Africa in 2010 and stayed In a Joburg hotel.

You are a learner.

Tell me all the places you visited in Senegal with your wealthy friends.
Did you buy data or used their WiFi throughout your stay. Did you have the experience of renting a place?
How much is a single room selfcon in Darkar? How much is a plate of food? All these you don't have a clue.

Oponu.

Your case is like visiting Naija for the first time and hosted by the Otedolas in Banana Island for 3Weeks.

You wan compare yourself to someone spending his money to buy everything he needs.
Stayed with the masses withing Surulere jiisted with them and experienced what the common man in naija experience for 7 months.
grin
Who go have better judgement of Nigeria?

Hey! guy stop displaying Stupidity here o. Na beg abeg.

Senegal is a beautiful place.
E be like say you grew up in a Nigerian village. So Senegal com be like Canada to you.

Swerve!!
TravelRe: Am Moving To Senegal by AdisaMighty: 6:57pm On Mar 25, 2025
The fact that you were looking for a 2k per night hotel in Senegal was the reason you had a bad impression of the country, you stayed in the trenches. Senegal is a beautiful country.
StoryHaven:
Senegal is not full of white people my guy. Don't say it as if why people are all over Senegal. Yes their tourism is one of the best in Africa. And there are specific areas the Whites visit.
Sally where you visited is one.
Cap Skirring is one.
Toubab village is one. Toubab mean oyinbo. So in Toubab village there are some who live there.

Don't use 3 weeks of staying in a Country to describe the place.
Anyways, you have buttress my points.

You said you stayed with a wealth family. The places they took you to. The places you ate. And many more won't give you the right judgement of the place.
Anyways, I'm done.
One thing I forgot to mention.

THE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY.

Peace!
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 8:15am On Mar 25, 2025
They held on to mine.
Obamagbagbeeni:
Good day everyone.

Please, those that was asked to reschedule for a physical interview after an interview waiver refusal, did they hold on to your passport? Or was your passport returned?

Thank you for your responses.
TravelRe: Am Moving To Senegal by AdisaMighty: 10:45pm On Mar 24, 2025
This is so true, Senegal is full of white people. Real estate is also booming in Senegal, they build high.
Dadzynomolara:
Why are some Nigerians so ungrateful. You went to another man country to identify only the negatively, your type are the reason why people have unexplained hatred for Nigerians. Whites are flocking there for tourism and appreciating the country a fellow African went there to condemned the lifestyle of others and you think if they come across this your myopic write up they will be happy with Nigerians. Who do us? No wonder because of this ungrateful attitudes even Nigerian politicians are skeptical of doing any meaningful project in the country because your likes will never appreciate. You choose to see the bad side of Senegal and that what you got.
TravelRe: Am Moving To Senegal by AdisaMighty: 10:28pm On Mar 24, 2025
I think you stayed in the Ghetto, I stayed at Ouakam, Dakar. also visited Sally. In my opinion life in Senegal is better than most places in the world. It’s one of my favorite countries (I have been to many)

it was an overall good experience for me. I spent 3 weeks, I was hosted by a wealthy family and I love love the city. Dakar, has very good roads, it’s safe and clean. The rail and other infrastructure are top notch.

There nice fancy restaurants and these guys drive very nice cars. Senegalese love cars. They are also friendly people
StoryHaven:
Which part is better than Dakar?

They are too dirty for my liking. Did you notice soak-away water on the streets of Dakar, Abi you didn't explore the city by walking around? You stayed indoor in a hotel room?

Did you notice they don't care about flies perching on their food?
When I complained at a coffee shop where green flies were having full day on bread and other stuffs. The guy said if I dont want flies on my food, I should go to Europe. grin

Like every other French colonies, their bread is not in nylon.

Did you notice they hate it if corrected?
They lack common manners.

It is the worst African country I've visited. They and Mali.

24/7 light yes.

Senegal is the most expensive African nation I've visited after South Africa. Things are so expensive that by the time you compare to other cefa spending nations you will wonder Why.

For example, Cotonou is among cefa using countries. Same currency.
Pure water in Cotonou is three for secant (50cefas) at other places in Cotonou 2 for 50cefa. And a whole purewater bag is 200cefa. (20pieces)

But in Senegal, one piece of purewater is 50cefa and it is not even full.

Plywood that I use for my work is sold for 4500cfa in Cotonou it is 7000 in Senegal.

Renting a room in Dakar goes for 45-50,000 cefa. Although they'll collect 3months.
In Benin Yould get for 15k, 20k, 25k (selfcon) they collect 3months as well.

I will stop here.

I suspect you just spent a week in Senegal and left.

My advice to anyone travelling to relocate in Africa is to think twice before choosing Senegal. Life in Cotonou is far Better.
Benin people are more civilised may be because they share border with Naija.

Gambia is more civilised and English speaking too.

Senegal is expensive, dirty people, they claim to be Muslims but what they worship are the Bambas. (Their marabouts). Uncultured set of humans.

I'm sorry if I disappointed you. I am only being factual.

I was for IW. Never got an avits appointment letter. There was bug that came up after I paid. I Sent them an email and they booked an IW date for me by themselves.

I think it’s the part of Senegal you were in. I really enjoyed Senegal on my visit. Electricity, sanity and good food.
StoryHaven:
Nothing much.

They live in 1977 in 2025. Most French colonies are like that. France is wicked.

TravelRe: Travelling Betwen Cotonou And Lagos - Advice Needed by AdisaMighty: 5:56pm On Mar 22, 2025
Did you eventually make it to Benin?
Ikiboy:
Hello fellow Nairalanders!

I am Eastern European (white) traveler. I need to get from Cotonou to Lagos (Victoria Island) in cking weeks. I was hoping to travel directly from Cotonou to Lagos, however, ABC transport departs daily at 15:00, which means it will arrive to Lagos after dark which is obviously too dengerous for me. Could you please advice me - what would be my safest option?
I am currently considering these two ideas:

1) get moto to border, cross border as a pedestrian and then take maybe a mini bus to Lagos. Once I am in Lagos - take Uber to Victoria Island. Howrver - I have no idea where will the bus drop me - and this is what scares me. I would not want to be in an unknown place using my phone wile ordering Uber. Again, I have no idea where will the bus from the border take me in Lagos and honestly I am not even sure if there are direct buses from border to Lagos.

2) my second option is to get to Badagry from the border (maybe by moto?) and then get a boat to Lagos Marina. This way I will arrive to safe place in Lagos (marina) from where its much closer to Victoria island.

I never been to Nigeria before. I do have passport and Nigerian vtourist visa valid for 1 month.

Please help me, because I am really freaking out 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😭

Good morning.
Please is there anyone looking for an earlier visa appointment date? I have an appointment for next week but unfortunately I won’t be able to make it due to work and I am having difficulties getting a new date. If there’s anyone who needs an appointment date for next week in Lagos kindly contact me

I got there at 12ish and was able to interview before my stated time (which was 1pm). So try your luck.
Obamagbagbeeni:
Hello. Please for 221g follow up interview after submitting for interview waiver, do I have to go for the time of interview gotten? What I mean is, can I go in the morning or it has to be in the afternoon as I got a 1pm appointment.

In the letter sent they said all applicants should arrive at least 30mins to their appointment time except interview waiver case.

Thank you
